Chapter Two: Episode 15

He felt the familiar feeling of fingers running through his hair. It was comforting. He could also feel the body to whom the fingers belonged pressed up against his back. He smiled, quite happy to be in this moment. “Kunzite, how long have we been here?”

“Not too long, no one is looking for us, if that\'s what you\'re worried about.”

Zoisite turned over on his back and looked up at his commander. Kunzite was looking down at him, in something of a daze, running his fingers though Zoisite\'s hair absentmindedly. After a few minutes of this, Zoisite finally asked, “so, what\'s on your mind?”

“Hmm? Oh, I\'m sorry, I was thinking about what you said earlier,” Kunzite responded. He removed his hand from Zoisite\'s hair and stood up. He walked about the room, lost in thought.

Zoisite began gathering the pieces of his uniform, “what did I say earlier?”

“About Nephrite using the stars to guide him to high sources of energy.”

Zoisite did not hide his disappointment at this. Did he have to bring up Nephrite? He grumbled something unintelligible as he did up his boots. Kunzite either didn\'t notice, or pretended not to. “Zoisite, I know that you are supposed to be looking into the Ginzuishou, but I want you to do something for me.”

Zoisite jumped to his feet, his jacket still hanging partially open, “What do you need, Kunzite? I\'ll do anything!”

Kunzite walked up to Zoisite and smiled at him. He did up Zoisite\'s jacket for him while he explained, “I am interested in the method Nephrite is planning on using. Would you be able to watch him for me? Report back to me on his progress?” Zoisite\'s face fall at this. He knew Zoisite and Nephrite did not get along well, but Zoisite tended to enjoy being around him to torment him. “Is something wrong, Zoisite?”

“No, it\'s nothing. I\'ll do this for you, Kunzaito-sama.”

The silver haired man smiled, “I would do it myself, but there are some other things I must see to.” He finished with the jacket, “thank you, Zoisaito, I\'ll will return later.”

Kunzite turn and walked away from Zoisite, his cape flaring out behind him.

“Interested in what Nephrite is doing?” Zoisite asked out loud incredulously. He straightened out his jacket and left to see what Nephrite was up to.

Nephrite was already carrying out his next attack when Zoisite found him in the park. He hid himself and watched quietly, he was not to interrupt Nephrite, only observe.

Nephrite was dressed not in his uniform, but in casual human clothing. Zoisite raised an eyebrow at this. Was he pretending to be a human? How pathetic!

There was an older man watching a crew of construction workers tear the park down. Nephrite walked up to him. “You will protect this park,” he said to the older man.

“Who are you?” the man asked, surprised to see another person with him.

“People have forgotten how important nature is,” Nephrite began, “it\'s time for you to teach them about the wrath of nature.”

Zoisite couldn\'t believe it, Nephrite was mascarading as a human! Wait until Kunzite heard about this!

Nephrite walked right up to the man and reached out his arm towards the old man\'s head. “My loyal youma, possess this man\'s hat and take his energy!”

Zoisite did everything he could to stop from laughing. “Possess this man\'s hat?” Now he had heard everything! He watched as Nephrite left the man, and his hat, to do their work. He then teleported back to the Dark Kingdom himself.

He knew that he should be searching for the Ginzuishou, but he was only coming up with dead ends. With little more to go on besides the fact that it\'s a crystal from the Moon Kingdom and is likely silver in colour, that was to be expected. He stared out the window at the rest of the Dark Kingdom, patiently awaiting Kunzite\'s return.

It wasn\'t long before Zoisite heard footsteps down the hall. He turned to see Kunzite enter the room, cape flowing out behind him. He joined Zoisite by the window, looking outside with a serious expression on his face. Zoisite watched his expression for a moment before speaking. “I followed Nephrite today, as you asked,” he spoke quietly.

“Did you learn anything about how he uses the stars to choose his targets?” Kunzite asked. He continued to gaze out the window.

“No, I didn\'t. By the time I tracked him down, he had already selected his target,” Zoisite explained. “Kunzaito-sama, are you alright? You seem somewhat distracted.”

Kunzite smiled and turned to face the younger man. “I am sorry, please continue.”

This seemed to satisfy Zoisite. “Well, when Nephrite found his target, he told his youma to possess the human\'s hat and to take energy from him,” he began. “But what I found the most interesting was how Nephrite had dressed himself. He was disguising himself as a regular human.”

Kunzite nodded, “Jadeite did the same thing on occasion, as much good as it did him.”

“No, this was different somehow,” Zoisite said thoughtfully. “I will continue to watch him for you, I\'ll find out how he is using the stars.”

Kunzite\'s expression turned more serious for a moment, “just don\'t forget about your own mission. I know I asked you to do this, but your mission should come first.”

“Of course. It\'s just that I\'ve had very little advancement lately in my search.”

Kunzite was thoughtful for a moment, certainly understanding Zoisite\'s situation. “The Ginzuishou is likely close to the Princess. The Sailor Senshi are currently searching for the Princess, perhaps it would be best to keep an eye on them.”

“Nephrite\'s youma do attract their attention. By keeping an eye on Nephrite, I may be able to gain some insight from the Senshi.”

Kunzite placed his hands on Zoisite\'s shoulders. “Just don\'t get too wrapped up with Nephrite and forget what you are supposed to be doing, alright?”

“Don\'t worry, Kunzaito-sama. I won\'t disappoint you.”

Kunzite wrapped an arm around Zoisite\'s shoulders and lead him down the hall, “it\'s not me you should be worried about disappointing.”
