Chapter #2
A/N: Woot-Woot! I am back! My thanks goes out to the following: Thooruchan (my first reviewer on this fic), Noriko Sakuma (a long time fan), Reyn ( I’m really no good with one shots but hey I’ll try), crazyb1tch85 (what the hell is a “uzi”?), and Senera San ( Zoro is cute!). You guys rock my sox! *gives them chocolate pudding and blueberry muffins*
Warning: Fluff!! Possible OOC. hinted Yaoi (a.k.a. boy lovin’ on other boy)
Disclaimer: Do you think Luffy would wear pants if I owned One Piece? Really people it doesn’t take much brains to figure out that I own nothing.

Chapter #2
I can’t believe this guy. He didn’t bother bringing any food with him!!! I would yell at him about it but I’m too hungry to work that much energy up. I guess we might die out here. No we won’t. I still haven’t become the world’s greatest swordsman so I can’t die yet. I’ve been though worse. I lasted nine days back a the navy base. I can last here for a while.
I don’t regret my choice to join him and ,even if I did, I gave this kid my word. I’ll never go back on my word. That’s part of the code I live by. My own code.
He sits at the edge of the boat and just stares out at the horizon. His eyes dance with the waves as he watches the ocean. He truly loves the sea even though the devil fruit makes it his enemy. The wind pushes his hair beneath his hat. I wonder why he treasures that thing so much, but I won’t ask. There are things inside us all that we hide while we wear them proudly. He wears that hat, but doesn’t mention it. The same way I carry Kunia’s sword, but won’t give out the information of why I do. We are really not so different.
Everything I notice about him makes me admire him more. He looks at his greatest enemy and smiles. He’s put his luck up against the wrath of the sea and doesn’t think about it further. He regrets nothing, because regret would only slow him down. He would be invincible if he only thought things though, but I guess that’s just wishful thinking.
The sea looks endless as it stretches out until it touches the sky. His face full of excitement as he stares out at it. He truly is amazing. I wonder why I care so much. I feel weird when I’m around him. It’s different than anything I’ve felt before. The closest emotion I remember having to this one is when I was with Kunia for the last time. When we made the promise to each other and my passion for swordplay became obsession. God, I hope my feeling toward him isn’t obsession.
This is ridiculous! What kind of pirate doesn’t know how to navigate? The second we step foot on land we should look for a navigator. Any normal pirate would have gotten one strait off, but “normal” isn’t any way to describe this guy. I wonder what he was thinking was thinking when he chose me for his crew. I have few skills that would be useful to a pirate. I have no sense of direction, I can’t cook, I can’t repair ships, or anything like that. Since I’m the first one with him, I guess that makes me his first mate. In a way it really makes you important to know you were hand picked. To know that who your traveling with choose you and only you.
He looks over toward me, I guess because I’m the only one here. He shows me his teeth as if he wants me to compliment his smile. Not like he hasn’t done the same thing fifty million times before. I smirk back as he lets out a laugh. I’ll never know what he finds so funny with nothing but the sea and the two of us as company, but his laughter sparks something in me and for that moment I can forget that we’re lost in the middle of the unforgiving ocean without food. I can forget everything and all my cares dissolve in his laughter and I too laugh with all my heart.

A/N: okay, I have no idea where that came from. Seriously. This was written at 3 in the morning and all I had eaten for the last thirty-six hours was some chocolate pudding. If it’s corny or dumb or rambles on, blame the pudding. Okay please review. Please.
