Nobody loves me
Sorry for the long wait! Work and school were kinda overwhelming me. Finals are done and it is officially summer! Huzzah! On with the fic. I do NOT own anything that has to do with fruitsbasket

Shigure had never run so fast in his life.
He had been in an adjoining room when he had heard the hateful words Yuki uttered. Shigure isn’t really sure what made him run after Kyo this time. He often ran away for a few hours to let off some steam. But this time…this time when Kyo ran out that door Shigure was overcome with a morbid feeling. A feeling that chilled him to the very bones.
Shigure had quickly put on his shoes and grabbed an umbrella. But before he walked out of the door, he look Kazuma straight in the eyes and asked him one question.
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
After he said that, Shigure left to go after Kyo. Maybe everybody else was frozen with disbelief when he ran out the door, but not Shigure. Shigure felt an overwhelming need to run to him and comfort him. He wasn’t sure when he became attracted to Kyo, but it didn’t really matter. His thoughts of the poor neko out in the cold freezing to death drove him on and before he knew it, he was running.
Shigure stopped when he saw the little shack in the distance. He knew Kyo would be in there. After all that is wear Kyo always went when he wanted to get away for a while.
Shigure walked up to the decrepit old door and opened it gently. When he looked in the sight he saw nearly sent him into panic. There was Kyo, all huddled up in a corner, shivering and turning a sickly shade of blue. Shigure ran over to him and wrapped his arms around him.
Kyo, as expected flinched and struggled to get out of Shigure’s grip. But Shigure held on tight and refused to let go. When Kyo finally stopped fighting and threw his arms around Shigure crying….well that, to say the least, shocked the hell out of Shigure. He had NEVER seen Kyo in such a state. But he sat there for a minute holding him, until his senses came back and he realized where they were and that Kyo was still shivering violently.
Shigure scooped Kyo into his arms, which wasn’t and easy feet, but he managed. When he steadied himself enough, he started to walk back to the house with a trembling Kyo in his arms. The entire way back to his house Shigure did nothing but whisper that he loved Kyo. No matter what anyone else thought, he loved him and wanted him to know it.
Unfortunately for Shigure, Kyo had fallen into an uneasy sleep on the way back. Shigure kept glancing at him to make sure he was still breathing. He was worried that Kyo wouldn’t wake up.
When they got to the house, Shigure pushed his way inside and took Kyo upstairs into his bedroom. When he saw he was still breathing and had started to regain some of his color, Shigure went about getting warm clothing for Kyo to wear.
When he was done gathering clothes Shigure started to strip Kyo. When Kyo was completely naked, Shigure couldn’t help but look at his body and its flawless shape. He would give anything to be able to run his tongue the length of that body and make the neko scream out in passion. When Shigure felt his groin tighten, he forced those thoughts out of his head. After all what kind of a person would he be if he took advantage of a helpless, naked Kyo.
After he was done dressing Kyo, he went down stairs to give Hatori a call. He wanted to make sure Kyo would be ok. Shigure took one last glacne at Kyo, and went down stairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A few hours later
Kyo slowly woke up and looked around the room. The first thing he noticed was, this wasn’t his room. Where was he? Had Shigure brought him back? Just as he was about to call out the door opened and Shigure walked in with a bowl of soup.
“ ahh Kyo-Kun, you’re awake. You gave me quite a scare you know, running away like that.”
“No body cares what happens to me, so stop acting like you do.”
“ But that’s just it, I do care. Why do you think I came after you?”
“ I don’t know…to laugh at the cat who was stupid enough to believe he was loved?”
“No…I…what do you mean by that? Stupid enough to think you’re loved…the only reason you would be stupid is if you think you aren’t loved…I lo…Y-Your shishou…he was just shocked is all. You know he cares about you Kyo. He loves you as if you were his son….”
Kyo blushed when he heard Shigure start to say he loved him, before he changed the subject to his shishou.
“ you….you love me?”
“ I…yes”
Kyo could not help the bitterness that crept into his voice with this next statement.
“ But why? I’m just the stupid cat after all….nobody loves the cat.”
When Shigure didn’t answer, Kyo looked up to see why. When he looked up he saw Shigure looking at him with a slight smile on his face.
“ why are you smiling? Is this all some kind of joke? I bet that’s what it is…a joke…well ha fucking ha….now leave me alo…..”
The rest of Kyo’s rant was cut short as Shigure leaned in and kissed him gently. Kyo was shocked when he felt the soft lips touch his. He didn’t really know what to do, so he let his instinct guide him and he kissed back. Obviously this was the right thing to do considering Shigure pulled him closer and deepened the kiss.
After a few seconds Shigure pulled back smiling, and looking at Kyo to see his reaction. Kyo looked flushed, and confused. Not exactly the reaction Shigure was looking for, but hey, anything is better then Kyo screaming and beating him into a bloody pulp.

So yea…I’m not too happy with this chapter. But I wanted to try and get something up. I think I’ll revise it a little later. Oh and Don’t worry, the smex shall come soon! Anyways, have a nice day or night….whenever you read this…If I’m lucky enough to have people read it. Any ideas for the next chapter? Anything you want to see in upcoming chapters?
