Title II

I own nothing. I am desolate, poor, and hungry...Well, I'm hungry...

I love Zusume!!! She's my bestst friend.
You know what Tohma? Just give up already and marry me!

Tohma was signing a document on his desk when he heard a polite knock on the door. "Just a minute," he called, trying to organize the mess of papers on his desk into a semi-neat stack. He knew who was on the other side of the door and wanted to look at least partially presentable. "Come in."

The door opened, and a short, green haired teen walked into the office. "You wanted to see me, Seguchi-san?" All politeness, all formality. The only thing informal about the youth was the outfit he was wearing. Jeans that were cut off above the knees, and a black shimmery shirt that was frayed at the shoulders and stomach so it was sleeveless and exposing the midriff.

"Ah, yes...Please have a seat, Fujisaki-kun." Tohma gave the teen a smile, obviously out of courtesy rather than kindness. In start contrast to the youth, the blonde executive was wearing a nice business suit, the color of the collared shirt red, and his signature hat and gloves. "Bad Luck is going on a tour again, I see?"

"Yes," Suguru responded, almost embarrassed. "Frankly, I don't know why we have to wear such outlandish and revealing clothes." In emphasis, the youth started tugging down the bottom of his shirt.

"Don't worry," Tohma replied, folding his hands onto his desk, "it looks nice on you." The words were said with such detached interest that you couldn't possibly look into it any way, whatsoever. Nevertheless, a light color of rouge spread onto Suguru's cheeks.

"Uh...um...thanks," Suguru stammered, his face hot.

"The reason I asked to see you is because I wanted to discuss with you some fiscal business," Tohma said gently. "Since you have decided to become a permanent member of Bad Luck"

"Yes, that would be ideal.

"Anyone who can handle Shindou-san on a daily basis deserves some kind of praise," the blonde said with a chuckle. The green haired teen smiled wryly. "So anyway, there are some papers that you have to sign that would raise your salary." The blonde pursed his lips as he searched through the stack of papers and pulled out a packet of sheets stapled together. "Since you would be working at NG Records full time."

"I don't understand..." Suguru started, being handed the paper and a pen.

"It's just formality," Tohma replied. "We need your consent before anything is done to your contract." Suguru signed the document and looked up at the blonde, and the youth realized that Tohma was staring at him intently.

"S-Seguchi-san?" The green haired teen was flustered.

"Germany, seven years ago." Tohma's smile became more genuine.

"I beg your pardon?"

"That outfit you're wearing," the older man commented, "is almost exactly like the one I wore for Nittle Grasper's tour in Germany. Except my shirt was dark purple and I was wearing a lot more jewelry and chains."

"I saw the video for the concert there," Suguru said. "During the fourth song you made a small mistake in switching cords."

"You noticed, Fujisaki-kun?"

"Hai..."

"You were one of the few who did," Tohma said, perhaps a little wearily. "But then again, you are a prodigy yourself."

"Um...arigatou," Suguru replied, standing up, and the blonde did the same. The young keyboardist handed the document to Tohma across the desk. "You are a brilliant piano player still, Seguchi-san."

"Still!" The tone was surprised but lighthearted, and Suguru blushed again, looking down. Tohma brought a gloved finger to his lips thoughtfully. "Perhaps I am getting old."

The green haired youth looked up, his eyes wide. "You're not getting old at all, Seguchi-san!" He opened his mouth as if to say something else, but quickly closed it, all red in the face.

"You think so?" Tohma enjoyed the position that he put the boy in. "I'm practically twice your age."

"Well, you...you don't look it." Suguru swallowed hard as the calculating eyes pierced into him.

"Although...with age does come experience," the blonde added solemnly, raising one eyebrow.

"I g-gotta go." Suguru did a splendid job of backing up and almost tripping over a chair. "The band should be leaving-"

"Say no more," Tohma interrupted, his expression one of understanding. The young keyboardist jerked the door open.

"Bye, Seguchi-san."

"See you, Fujisaki-kun." There was a pause at which Suguru looked at his older cousin. Then he quickly left. Tohma chuckled.

Three weeks went by in a blur, and every second my thoughts were of you. Strangely, the concerts were put on did not suffer from this distraction. In fact, they were amazing and it was as if not only my hands were playing the piano, but my soul. The features of your beautiful face tormented my mind.

The first week of the tour, my pillow was soaked in tears, muffling the sound of my sobbing. I was never...emotional before.

Then again, I had never loved before...
