Chapter 2
Leiko looked over the side of the building she was on top of. Her target would be there any minute. She shifted the bowling ball to her other hand and tried to keep it from slipping. Damn this sudden rainstorm, she cursed.
"Hey, Hiro, isn't this weather so nice," Shuichi cried as he twirled in the rain. His pink hair plastering to his face.
"Sure, it's perfect," Hiro mumbled trudging behind Shuichi, looking like a drowned rat.
Not paying attention, Hiro plowed into Shuichi's back. "Hey! What the...Why did you stop?...Shuichi?" Shuichi was staring off into space, his mouth slack.
"I got a weird feeling," he said shaking himself. Then he laughed and turned toward Hiro. "I'll race you to the end of the street, Hiro."
Hiro laughed too and started to run after Shuichi. They didn't get very far when they heard a loud crash from behind them. They both stopped and turned around at the same time. "What was that?" Shuichi asked, as they walked back to the building.
When they got to the front of the building they found a bowling ball smashed into the pavement right where they had been standing moments before. Hiro looked up toward the top of the building. Not seeing anything he turned back to the bowling ball.
Shuichi was poking the ball with a stick. "Wow!" he gasped. "I think Yuki lied."
Hiro quirked an eyebrow at his friend. "What are you talking about now?"
Shuichi pointed to the ball. "Yuki always says its raining cats and dogs. I kept telling him that I had never seen a cat or dog dropping from the sky. Now that I have seen a bowling ball drop from the sky, I now know what it really rains." Shuichi laughed. "This proves it." He started jumping up and down excitedly.
Hiro was more confused then ever. Where did Shuichi get his information from. "Hey Shuichi..."
"Come on, Hiro. Help me carry this to Yuki so that I can show him my proof." Shuichi reached down and hefted it off the sidewald and wobbly tried to carry it. Hiro sighed and took it out of Shuichi's hands and carried it.

Damn! How did that happen. Leiko looked down at the sidewalk. He had been standing right there. How the hell did she miss.
She growled low in her throat. Next time he won't be so lucky, she swore. He will die.

"YUUUUUKKIIIIII!!!!!! I'm home!" Shuichi yelled, entering the apartment he shared with his lover.
Hiro followed quietly and set the bowling ball on the floor, before plopping down on the couch to watch the drama unfold.
Shuichi ran toward the closed study doors and started banging on it. "Heeeeyyy Yuuukkiii, I have something to show you." He stood there and hammered on the locked door and kept whining for his lover to come out.
After five minutes of this, the door finally opened up, revealing a highly pissed writer. "What do you want, you damn brat."
Shuichi grabbed Yuki's hand and dragged hin toward the bowling ball sitting on the floor. "TADA!!" Shuichi cried out pointing to the ball.
Yuki's eyes glared daggers at the bowling ball. "That is what you bothered me for." He scowled and headed back to his study.
"But, Yuuukkiii," Shuichi whined. "It rained down from the sky."
That stopped Yuki in his tracks. "What did you just say?"
Hiro, who was lounging on the couch decided to put in his thoughts on the matter. "Well, Yuki, I have it figured out two ways. Either someone was bowling on the roof and accidentally dropped the ball, or someone dropped it on purpose. Shuichi, though, thinks that it now rains bowling balls."
Yuki suddenly grabbed Shuichi and pulled him close. He started feeling for lumps on his head while Shuichi tried to wiggle free. "Hiro, are you sure it didn't hit him?"
"Yuki....What are you doing," Shuichi whined. "I'm fine." Yuki threw Shuichi over his shoulder and headed toward the bedroom. "Bye Hiro," Shuichi giggled as the bedroom door closed.
Hiro just shook his head. Wow, those two are strange. He let himself out of the apartment.
