Author’s Note: Sorry that I took so long updating this.
I’ve been pretty busy lately and sick, so I hadn’t gotten a chance to, really.
Also, I had a bit of writer’s block again. It’s been asked of me to post this
on FFnet. I would really like to, but I’m afraid that
I can’t do that. Unfortunately, this story is far too dark, extremely explicit
and for mature adults only. The details that will be contained in this story
would be too much for FFnet. I understand that a lot
of younger folks can’t read this, and I’m sorry! XD Although, you can’t see
that apology! –Scratches head- In any case, I cannot post this on FFnet, sorry. Anyways, here’s the next chapter. Enjoy! XD
From The Darkness
Chapter 2: Who Are You Really?
After awhile, Nami dared to leave the cabin to check the
heading. Walking to the front of the ship, she checked her compass, making sure
they were still on course.
Sitting up, Luffy smirked down at her. “So where’re we headed
… Navigator … san …?”
Gasping, Nami quickly turned to look up at him. “Na-Navigator?” She asked as she furrowed her brows at him.
“H-How …?”
“Well … you are navigatin’
this ship … right? That is a compass
you’re holdin’, ain’t it?” He asked as he furrowed
his brows deeper into the smirk.
“O-Oh … right …” She replied as she frowned deeper before
turning away.
Chuckling deep in his throat, he then laid back down,
smirking up at the sky. Feeling unnerved, Nami continued to stare ahead of her.
It was the way he’d said it that had left her feeling so perturbed. Shaking her
head, she shrugged it off as she turned and made her way back to her room.
Walking in after closing the door, she stood in the middle of the room and
rubbed her head. She couldn’t help but to feel a little at ease, even if she
was a little confused by him.
Ever since she remembered hearing about the ten year old boy
having murdered about sixty eight innocent people in the clinic he had been in,
she had completely thought him a monster. When she had heard about him having
murdered an entire marine base, she had thought him an abomination. When she
had heard he had saved her entire village, she had thought him a savior. And when
she had saved his life, she had thought herself an idiot. When she had brought
him onto her ship, she had thought herself insane.
However, now that he was there on her roof, she felt
bewildered. Back in the kitchen a few moments ago, she had really thought he
was the monster she first thought him to be. It seems maybe he wasn’t. She
still thought him insane though. She couldn’t help but to wonder to herself, what kind of a man was he really? Was he a man who
could murder so many in cold blood, or a man who could
kill a monster and leave her entire village untouched? What was he?
Sighing, she slowly made her way to her chair and plopped
down in it. Either way, she had to figure out a way to dissuade him of the
notion he had that she belonged to him. She removed the ship’s log again and
turned the pages to the next empty page to add an entry. After writing a few
things, she tapped the pen on the page before setting the log aside, and then
pulling out some maps to sketch.
After sketching a few maps, Nami leaned back in her chair.
Staring up at the ceiling for awhile, she then sat up to put away her maps and
supplies. With a sigh, she turned to get ready for sleep. She really didn’t
know where he was going to sleep, and honestly at that moment, didn’t really
care. She changed into her pajamas, and then slipped into her bed. Curling up
tight, she then closed her eyes for sleep.
With a slight smirk, Luffy decided it was time for sleep. Sitting up, he
scooted to the edge of the roof and then jumped down to the deck below.
Turning, he opened the door to the bedroom and stepped inside. Gasping at the
sound of the door opening, Nami quickly sat up a bit and turned to the door.
With the smirk still on his lips, he walked over to the bed, pulled open the
covers, and then slid in behind her, pushing her over a bit with his body.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing!?”
She yelled, becoming alarmed and fearful.
“Going to sleep. What does it look like? There is only
one bed.” He replied in an amused voice.
“Y-You can’t sleep here!” She exclaimed, becoming more
fearful and trying to move away.
He quickly reached over her and pulled her close to him. “I sleep where I wanna
sleep.”
“No … don’t touch me …” She said in a strained voice as she tried to pull away.
However, Luffy only tightened his hold on her. He leaned forward to press his
lips against her ear. “Go to sleep …” He whispered into her ear as his lips
stretched into a smirk.
Then he began to kiss around her ear and neck. Gasping, her
entire body stiffened from the contact. “Don’t …” She whispered as she felt
tears bunch at her lashes.
“Didn’t I say I wouldn’t force you, woman?” He asked in a raspy voice as he
then ran his hand down her arm in a feather light touch.
Shivering, she closed her eyes shut tight as her skin warmed where he touched.
Despite the fact that he was touching her, she felt her fear diminishing as she
calmed, but only slightly to his promise not to force her. Even so, she didn’t
like being touched in the least.
“I still … don’t want you touching me!” She cried as she
tried to fight the tears that wanted to spill.
“I already told you, I’m getting you used to it.”
“I don’t want to get used to your touch! I will never give
in to a monster like you!”
“Hmm … A monster am I?” He asked
quietly as he placed soft kisses on her jaw line.
Groaning as if in pain, she then attempted
to pull her face away from him, not liking his kisses in the least.
“Please, just stop!”
He chuckled deep in his throat as he looked down at her.
“What’s this …? You still have control?”
Gasping, her eyes flew open before she stiffened completely.
“What are you talking about?”
“I was expecting you to pass out by now? Wait … does this
mean you’re getting used to me, woman?” He asked in mock surprise.
Clenching her teeth down hard, she tried to wrench herself
out of his grasp. “Let go of me!”
Still chuckling in his amusement, he finally released her, slipping both arms
under his head. As soon as she felt him let go, she immediately slipped away
from him, sitting on her knees at the edge of the bed. Her breathing was heavy
as she glared at him, having brought most of the covers with her to cover herself.
“Where are you going to sleep? This is the only bed, isn’t
it?”
Continuing to glare at him, she only remained where she was.
She knew there was no way she was going to sleep in the same bed as this man.
“I don’t care where I sleep, but I do know it won’t be in
the same place as you!” She said as she began to climb off of the bed.
However, before she could get off, his hand shot out,
grabbing a hold of her wrist, and bringing her back down onto the bed. Crying
out in surprise, she immediately tried to pull away, but he still had a hold of
her wrist. Quickly looking up at him, she had to stifle a gasp. The smirk on
his face made her blood heat.
“I think I like you right here.” He said as he began to pull
her wrist over to him.
“Aauh!”
She cried out from the slight pain and fear as she noticed he was pulling her
closer to him.
She immediately tried to lash out with her free hand, but he
caught that wrist easily. Her chest began to heave in her panic as he pulled
her upper torso over him, with her arms spread out on each side. He still had
that same smug smirk on his face with his eyes half closed. She could feel her
blood beginning to heat further at the look he was giving her. She was used to
being mistreated and handled by men. It was something she had to endure for
years. However, what she was not used to was being handled by a man that looked
like he did. The others had looked like monsters, disfigured and ugly. She
wasn’t sure, but she thought that that made her even more afraid.
“Please … just let me go …” She whispered as she frowned
down at him.
“Let you go …” He repeated as his eyes slowly shifted down
to her heaving chest. “I don’t know if I want to …”
Her cheeks flushed deeply with heat as she clenched down her
teeth. With a low chuckle, he began to lower her down towards him. Gasping her
eyes widened when she felt his lips touch her jaw line. Then she felt his
tongue run across it. Shuddering, she cried out through clenched teeth as she
shut tight her eyes. Then she inhaled sharply as her eyes flew open when she
felt her body reacting strangely to his touch. She had to get away from him.
Slipping up her legs, she tried her best to kick herself away from him.
However, he quickly flipped her onto her back, laying his upper body over her.
“No, don’t!” She cried as her fear of being pinned down began
to bubble to the surface.
Grinning wider, he leaned down and began to kiss and lick
along her throat. “You taste good …”
“Please! Don’t do this!” She cried as she turned her head
away from him.
Her eyes opened wide when he suddenly froze. Blinking, she finally made herself
look up at him. He was staring down at her coldly with narrowed eyes. Her brows
furrowed in confusion by his expression and sudden change of attitude. He lay
back down onto the bed, but wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to his
front.
“Go to sleep …” He said in a low and cold voice as he buried
his face in the back of her neck.
She stiffened, but much preferred this than his touching and
kissing her. Deciding this would have to do, she closed her eyes and tried to
sleep. She actually found it to be rather comfortable with him against her
back. Surprisingly, she felt safe and his body heat kept her warm. Within
seconds, she was fast asleep.
Closing his eyes, he inhaled her scent slowly. She smelled
different from the other woman, but only slightly. Even so, she still smelt
good. However, what she had said had greatly agitated him. It had been the same
thing the other woman had told him. In some things they were different, but in
others they were the same. Sighing, he slowly opened his eyes and realized she
had already fallen asleep. Scoffing lightly, he then slowly closed his eyes to
bury his face further into the back of her neck and fell asleep.
xxxx
The next morning, she groggily opened her eyes before she
stiffened and gasped, her eyes flying open. She could feel his warm mouth and
tongue on her neck. She stiffened further when she heard him groan and begin to
speak.
“Mmm, so you’re finally awake, hmm?”
“Could you please not do that?”
“Mm, but I like doing it …”
“But I don’t like
it! You know, you’re a very selfish person!” She yelled before clamping her
teeth down tightly. ‘I cannot believe I
just said that to The Demon Fist!’
She clenched her eyes shut tight, expecting the worst.
However, all he did was chuckle, and continue what he was doing. Opening her
eyes again, she shifted them to the side and frowned deeply.
“You know, you are very feisty … I really like that. So much … spunk!”
He said in an amused voice as he chuckled again.
Her brows furrowed in confusion by his words. ‘He … likes me!?’
She blinked her eyes a few times in disbelief. She had actually expected him to
be angry about her outburst, not like
it. She was finding this man to be very disconcerting.
“You realize … you’re used to my touch already, woman …?”
Taking a sharp and shaky breath, she allowed her eyes to
open wide as she stared at the opposite wall. Then she scowled deeply when he
began to suck on her ear, causing her to shudder hard “I am not! Don’t … touch me!!” She yelled as she wrenched herself away from him.
Chuckling deeply, he allowed her to get out of the bed. “Ah,
but you are … You will no longer pass out from my touching you. That’s all I
wanted … Soon … I will have you begging for it, Nami …”
“You’re sick! You know that!? There’s something wrong with you!”
“You really think so!?”
He screamed, his face turning into a deep scowl suddenly as he sat up on his
knees in the bed and leaned towards her. “What the fuck made you think that?!”
Yelping in a small scream, she jumped and slammed her back
into the wall at the ferocity of his scream, tears quickly forming. He scowled
at her a bit longer, breathing deeply before his lips slowly curved into a
smirk and he chuckled. Tears began to stream down her face, as she shook her
head and hugged the wall behind her. “You’re insane …” She whispered softly as
she blinked rapidly against her tears.
“Insane …” He repeated as he continued to chuckle.
Then he got on his hands and knees to crawl out of the bed.
Standing up slowly, he then casually made his way towards her with the smirk
still on his face. “Insane …” He repeated a second time before making it to
her.
Gasping softly and shakily, she pressed her back further
into the wall as she closed her eyes. Then she heard and even sensed as he
placed both palms on either side of her head. She slowly opened her eyes to
look up into his eyes and gasped loudly at his cold expression.
“I’m … insane …” He said through clenched teeth.
Beginning to shake badly in fear, she kept her pride as she
lifted her chin up into the air. “That’s right … You’re insane!” She said
through her tears and clenched teeth of her own.
He slammed his palm into the wall hard. “And why the fuck do you think that is?! Huh?! Why - the - fuck?!”
Crying out, she covered her face with her arms as she
cringed against the wall. “I don’t know, and I don’t care! Get away from me!”
She screamed loudly as she curled into herself, but remained standing. She
really needed to keep her mouth shut, but her temper wouldn’t allow it.
Staring down at her with a scowl, his eye twitched a few
times before he lost his scowl and felt himself calming down. He could smell
her fear, but cowardly was something she was not, something she never was.
Despite her fear, she continued to stand up to him, to yell at him, to defend
herself. The more and more he learned about these women, the more it intrigued
him. Slamming his fist into the wall beside her head one more time, he watched
as she shrieked quietly and continued to shake in her fear.
Turning around with a scoff, he stormed out of the room,
slamming the door behind him. Looking up at the now closed door slowly, Nami
then began to slide down the wall onto the floor as her legs failed her, and began
to sob quietly, covering her face with her hands.
“What have I done …?”
Why had she been so stupid as to allow this madman onto
her ship? Now she was stuck in a nightmare with no way out. No matter what … it
was always the same …
xxxx
After she had calmed down, she placed a hand over her
upset stomach. She wasn’t hungry, but she knew she needed to eat something. As
it was, she was unhealthily underweight. However, she really didn’t want to
leave the sanctity of the room since he wasn’t in it. Closing her eyes, she
leaned her head against the wall before she clenched her teeth. She refused to
live in fear any longer, and after all, he hadn’t actually hurt her, only
scared her.
Getting up with some trouble from feeling weak, she
slowly made her way to the door. Turning the knob slowly, she stood there for a
long while before opening the door. As soon as she opened the door, she saw him
standing at the rail, staring off ahead of him. If he did notice or heard her
come out, he made no indication of it.
Sighing quietly in relief, she then quickly made her way
to her kitchen. Once inside, she shut the door behind her and gave another sigh
of relief that she’d made it that far. Turning towards her fridge, she went to
it and began to pull together their breakfast. She really didn’t want to risk
his wrath if she only cooked for herself, yet again, no matter how much she
disliked him.
At the scent of food, he narrowed his eyes a bit, but
didn’t turn towards the smell. He didn’t feel hungry in the least. After Nami
was done, she set the plate out for him, and then sat down in front of her own
plate. She stared down at the food on the plate, but no matter how much she
knew she needed to eat, she couldn’t really bring herself to eat it. Clenching
her teeth down hard, she closed her eyes and a hand came up to her forehead as
she bore her teeth slightly.
‘What am I doing …?’
She thought to herself before she lashed out. She knocked her plate off from
the table in her sudden fit of anger, but then she immediately snapped out of
it, realizing she’d just wasted that food. “Oh no …!”
At hearing the plate shatter, Luffy immediately
stiffened, sucking in his breath and opening his eyes wider. Turning to the
kitchen, sweat immediate formed on his brow as he quickly made his way to the
kitchen, bursting inside. Gasping loudly from the startling action, Nami
quickly looked up, suddenly very afraid at his expression.
“I’m sorry … I didn’t …” She wasn’t sure why she was
apologizing, but for all she knew, he might get really upset because of
something like that.
He quickly walked over towards her, and she quickly back
away in some terror. However, he dropped to his knees, immediately beginning to
clean up the mess. Blinking in bewilderment, Nami stared at him in absolute
shock just watching him clean it up. Leaning forward again, she then cautiously
began to crawl over towards him.
“I-I can clean it up … I … made the mess …” She said, not
wanting him to be mad at her later for having cleaned up her mess, and then she
reached out to help.
However, his hand shot out, grabbing her and stopping
her. “No! No … I’ll clean it …” He had sounded terrified.
Nami completely gaped at him. He was a totally different
person now. He quickly released her hand, continuing to clean it all up. She
could see now. There really was something wrong with him, just like there was
something wrong with her. However, she began to shake, afraid for when he
snapped out of it.
“I-I … can clean it … really … Please … I don’t want you
to be-”
“No! No, I can do it! I can do it! Please! … Please …” He
cried, and he looked completely terrified of her, but never looked her in the
eyes.
Blinking at him, still gaping, she swallowed hard before
finally getting up and running out of the room. She quickly ran into her room,
slamming the door and leaning against it. If only the door had locks on it.
Then she slid to the floor, trembling. “Shit … what have I done …!?”
After everything had been cleaned and the glass cleaned
up, Luffy stood at the sink, breathing heavily as he tried to calm himself. He
was only vaguely aware of what just happened to him. He couldn’t remember
everything, but he did remember walking in and seeing her already trying to
clean the mess. Looking over at the table, he saw his plate still laid out for
him, and so, he went to eat and quickly consumed it, despite the fact that he
wasn’t hungry. When he was done, he washed the dish, and then cleaned up the
table. Satisfied when it was all cleaned, he then left the kitchen and climbed
onto the roof.
Nami remained next to the door the entire time, trying
hard to listen in for anything. When she heard the kitchen door opening, she
gasped quietly and stiffened in fear. Would he come after her? Beginning to
tremble, she held out her arms, pushing against the door and clamped her teeth
down. “Please …” She whispered, pleaded to herself. However, when all she heard
was him climbing onto the roof above her, she sagged in relief, and a sob
escaped her lips.
Sniffing the air, he could smell her fear and tears. So,
she was terrified of him, and probably figured he’d retaliate. He was angry,
but he was also exhausted. As soon as he let himself fall onto the roof, he
fell asleep instantly. When that happened, all he wanted to do was sleep.
After about an hour past, Nami finally chanced to crack
the door open. Peeking an eye onto the deck, she could see it was clear.
Stepping out carefully, she looked up to the roof, but nothing happened.
Bolting out, she quickly made for the kitchen and silently closed the door, so
far so good. Going in inside, she quickly made herself something to eat and ate
it. Going to the sink, she washed her dish, and then stepped out to go to the
bathroom.
Peering around carefully first, she then quietly sprinted
for the bathroom. Closing that door carefully, she then began to strip her
clothes and made for the shower. Turning it on, she sighed in relief as soon as
the hot water began to spill over her tired and sore body. Looking down at
herself, she frowned sadly at the lack of meat she saw on her thin bones.
Swallowing hard, she could see her ribs sticking through her skin. Her wrists
were boney and thin, her legs puny. Even her breasts looked small without much
meat to her at all.
Closing her eyes slowly, she leaned her forehead against
the shower wall, letting the water keep falling over her. What was she going to
do? She was tired of living in constant fear, never knowing when that day would
come. It was highly overrated of course, but it was still something she wanted
to keep because she had had to fight tooth and nail for it. However, setting
that aside, she was sure she had other things to worry about with this insane
man on her ship.
What was she going to do?
Suddenly, a gasp escaped her lips, and she completely
stiffened when a pair of arms slowly encircled her torso and bare skin pressed
up against her back. “Aah! Wha-What are you doing!?”
She screamed, terror rising into her throat.
“Well, you see … the shower was occupied when I came in
here so … I thought we would share.” A husky whisper past by her ear, and then
she felt as lips pressed onto the skin just behind it. “You know … you’re too
skinny …”
“D-Don’t … D-Don’t … touch me …” Her breathing began to
quicken, feeling her body turn icy cold when his skin slid over hers.
“Aww, what’s this? You’re not used to my touch anymore?”
He asked, chuckling into her ear. Turning her around, he slowly pressed her
into the wall with his body
“Please … don’t …” She breathed, staring up at him with
gaping eyes full of fear.
Letting his hands slid up and down her hips and sides, he
then leaned forward, letting his tongue flick across the skin of her neck.
Groaning, Nami closed her eyes, beginning to squirm under him as her body
became overwhelming hot. It pulsed and ached all over, some places worse than
others. Then she shivered once before her body began to tremble.
“Please … let me go … I-I don’t want to …” She whispered,
whimpering when his hands slid across her stomach and abdomen, the aching
becoming worse. “Please … let me go …”
When his hands began to slide up her stomach and over her
rib cage, she gasped, stiffening further, but a sound escaping her lips, and
she bit her tongue. It didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel like it normally did
when someone touched her. “It’s not right … It’s not right …”
“So … then why does it feel right …” He moaned into her
ear, his hand finally cupping her breast.
“Aah!” She cried out, her head pressing into the wall as
she leaned it back. It didn’t feel right!
“You like it …”
“No! No … I-I … I don’t!”
“Yes … you do … I can smell it …” He groaned, pressing
his erection into her thigh.
Gasping for air as if she couldn’t breathe, she then
groaned louder when the aching worsened. “Please …! Stop … please …!” She
didn’t like it. It terrified her. It didn’t feel right, and it scared her.
“You want it …”
“I don’t!”
“You do …”
“Please! God, help me! Please! Just let me go!”
“God can’t help you … Only I can help you now …” His
voice was spoken in a low and very appealing voice, and she almost believed
him, but she shook her head hard. His hand slid down her stomach, cupping her
womanhood.
“Aaah!” She screamed, her hands
coming out to claw at his chest, “Stop! Stop! Stop!” Tears finally managed to
spill down her face, mixing in with the water from the shower, “Please, don’t
do this to me!” She wailed with a hiccup as she sobbed loudly.
Lips rising in a sneer, he then bore his teeth into a
scowl before pulling away from her and then shoving her away from him,
“Disgusting …”
Crying out as she hit the floor, she remained there,
trembling hard as she wept. Curling into a ball, she hugged her arms, burying
her head with them and her chest. “I’m not disgusting …” She whispered to
herself with a hiccup.
“Your tears are disgusting … and I hate them …”
“Good!” She screamed, still crying, “They keep you away
from me!” She would be leaving at that moment if her body wasn’t trembling as
badly as it was, and if she wasn’t as weak as she felt.
Turning his head to her while standing under the shower,
he glared down at her so coldly. She shuddered hard, almost feeling the ice building
around her body. Then he turned the rest of his body to her, and despite her
situation, her cheeks flushed darkly, forcing her eyes to remain on his. When
he took a step towards her, she gasped, expecting the worst. Trying to back
away, she didn’t get far as he walked over her and then squatted down above
her.
Her cheeks flamed further, trying her hardest to ignore
his hanging member just in front of her face. She had seen plenty enough to
last her a life time. So why was now any different? “Please, don’t …” She
pleaded, staring back into his cold and unmoving eyes.
Then his lips curled up into a smirk as he watched her
face. “Where’s all your bravado now?” He asked, leaning forward and placing his
palms beside her to hold himself up.
She really needed to learn to keep her mouth shut. “I
thought my tears disgusted you?” She seethed in a low voice, deciding she was
going to glare at him just as coldly. Even though now, he was regarding her
with amusement.
“They do, but your fiery spirit intrigues me more.” He
said, crawling over her more, which forced her to lay back a bit more.
Her chest began to heave into light pants, staring up at
him, her eyes wide, but she was beginning to wonder if it was out of fear
anymore. Thinking that, her eyes pulsed with a gasp, and she began to panic
while shaking her head, “Please don’t do this to me!”
Rolling his eyes closed with a scoff, he stood up and
walked towards the dry towels. Taking one, he dried himself off before slipping
his clothes on and leaving the bathroom. Beginning to pant harder, she laid
down on the tile floor completely and covered her face with her hands. She had
been watching him to make sure he left, but had also found her eyes straying
over his body as he did.
“What the hell is wrong with me …!?” She cried softly
into her hands before tears began to fall again.
His attempts never ceased as the days went by, and each
time she would panic more and more, but it seemed for a different reason which
scared the hell out of her. Every time he would come near her, she would become
fearful, and her new fear of him seemed to be irritating him, because he didn’t
understand it either. On the fourth day, land finally came into view, and Nami had
never felt so relieved in her life that she could almost sob in her relief.
They should be parting ways here. She wouldn’t have to
deal with his advances any longer. And as she thought this, a pair of arms
wrapped around her from behind, and a body pressed against her back while a
pair of lips latched onto her neck. Sucking in her breath, her body stiffened
and she had to bite her tongue to prevent anything from coming out of her
mouth.
“I see there’s an island up ahead.”
“Yes, there is … and then you’re free.” Nami replied,
keeping her body stiff and unwelcoming.
“Free?” He asked in an amused voice, trailing his kisses
up to her throat.
“Yes, you can … go wherever you want.”
“I think I want to stay right here …”
“What …!?” She breathed out, feeling as if she’d been
punched in the stomach.
“I’m so close to taming you … There’s no way I’m leaving
now …”
“You-You gotta be …?” She whispered, feeling her knees
growing weaker and her breath coming quicker.
“I know you enjoy it … Why don’t you submit to me, woman?”
He groaned out deeply from within his throat, which caused her to shiver and
her body to grow hot.
“Please don’t do that …?” She whispered quietly, trying
to pull away from him.
“Why? Because you like it?” He moaned hotly into her ear,
letting his hands slide across her stomach and his tongue trail along her ear.
“I don’t like it!”
“Yes, you do … I can sssmell it
…” He groaned, chuckling deeply into her ear, “And it smells fantastic
…”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about! You can’t
smell a damned thing!”
“Ooh, but you’re wrong … I can definitely smell it … Just
like I can smell when you’re afraid … and when you’re crying … and even when
you’re bathing … I can smell it all …” He whispered a little harshly into her
ear before chuckling menacingly.
“Stop it! Just leave me alone!” She cried, wringing away
from his grasp. “I don’t want you touching me!”
“Maybe you think you don’t want it … but your body
obviously does.”
“Well that’s too bad! Because you’re not touching me!”
She turned to scowl at him bitterly. She was really getting tired of his smug
attitude.
He merely chuckled, his smug smirk only widening.
Scoffing at him disgustedly, she then turned back to the island. He was really
beginning to piss her off. Once the ship had docked, Nami jumped off and began
to walk into town with a slight huff. Jumping off after her, Luffy just
followed her, looking around at everything. And like always, people shrieked in
terror at the sight of him.
“You get quite the welcoming committee …” Nami muttered
to him, looking around at the terrified people, who looked at her in confusion,
wondering why this woman was walking with The Demon Fist, and was even still
alive to tell the tale.
He chuckled, “Tell me about it …”
Walking up to a fruit stand, she looked at all the
different fruits, looking for one in particular. However, before she could find
it, one seemed to find its way to her, and as a matter of fact, right in front
of her face. Gasping, she stepped back a bit before quickly looking up at
Luffy, the one holding it out to her with a very smug smirk on his face.
“Looking for this?”
Her lips and eyes slowly opened a little wider, “H-H-How … did … you know … I
…?” She stuttered, suddenly remembering when he’d mentioned about her being a
navigator and even knowing her name. “H-How do you know so much about me …!?”
“Mm, what are you talking about? Your hair is orange … So,
I assumed … that you liked oranges …” It was the way he’d said it that made her
feel as if it were a lie. However, what reason had he to lie to her, because he
couldn’t possibly know anything about her. However, the smirk he was wearing
made her shudder almost too visibly. How could he possibly know she liked
oranges? She’d never eaten one in front of him, having run out long before
coming to get him.
Frowning very deeply, she snatched the orange out of his
hand, “Whatever … I’ll give you this one …”
At her daring to snatch anything away from The Demon
Fist, quite a few people gasped, ready for him to lash out and kill her.
However, he merely smirked wider with an amused chuckle. The man behind the
stand was even more scared, having expected her to melt on the spot. Turning to
the man, Nami opened her mouth to speak, but he interrupted her, “Take it!”
“Ah … I …” Nami started, blinking at him.
“Just take it!”
“Yeah … you should probably get used to that …” Luffy
chuckled, sinking his teeth into an apple.
She turned to frown at him deeply, “It doesn’t make it
right!” She yelled at him, which made the entire town, or at least all who
heard gasp loudly again, and the man behind the stand backed away quickly.
However, Luffy again just shrugged, never losing his smirk.
“Works just fine for me …”
“Ugh!” She exclaimed in disgust, shaking her head at him,
“You’re really something else!”
“Oh, and what something are we talking about?” He asked
with his eyes hooding, definitely interested as he leaned in closer to her. To
anyone who thought to be looking at any other couple, they would have
considered what he was doing as flirting.
She snorted in his face and turned away, causing the
villagers to faceplant into the ground, “Nothing you
would like to hear!”
“Ooh, feisty …” Luffy said in a low voice, leaning away
again, and never losing his amusement of her. “Maybe I can get it out of you
later …”
“Doubtful!” She said before pulling out some money,
“Here! I’m not taking anything from you! I pay for my things, unlike some
people!”
Luffy just chuckled, walking past her to something else
that caught his interest. Frowning deeply at his back, she just watched him go
before pulling out more money, “And this is for him and anything else I want …”
“Y-Yes … of course …” The man stared up at this woman in
total and complete awe. No one ever dared to speak to The Demon Fist the way
she just did. They all gaped at this woman, thinking they may have stumbled
across someone even scarier if she could walk away from that unscathed.
The rest of the grocery shopping seemed to go smoothly as
everyone gaped at the fiery woman, brave enough to stand up against the
Nightmare himself, Monkey “The Demon Fist” Luffy. After that, she decided some
new clothes would do her nicely. Looking around, she noticed Luffy’d
disappeared. Shrugging, she continued on, not really caring. After all, if he
didn’t come back, all the better for her. Word had spread quickly, so as soon
as she entered the store, people seemed to avoid her like the plague and just
watched or ran out of the store.
Shaking her head to herself, she set her bags down and
began to look through the clothes. However, someone had followed her inside the
store, who, unfortunately, had not heard the talk yet. All he saw was a
beautiful woman he would like to get to know on a personal level.
“Hey …”
Blinking once, Nami turned to see a man leaning on the rack
she was looking through. Feeling a bit of fear well up inside, she stamped it
down, refusing to be afraid. “I’m not interested.” She said before turning back
to the clothes. She only hoped he would take that as a discouragement and move
on.
However, he merely chuckled and stepped closer, which
caused her to suck in her breath and glance down at his feet. “Not interested,
honey? You haven’t even given me a chance yet.”
“I don’t want to give you a chance. Now, please leave me
alone.”
“Um … Udo … I-I wouldn’t-”
“Quiet, Akina …” Udo said still advancing on Nami, who was now becoming a
little more fearful, “Come on, lemme take you out for
dinner sometime.”
“No, I really don’t think that’s necessary. I just want
to shop for clothes and leave.” Nami said with a slight quiver to her voice
from her growing nervousness.
“Udo, I would really-”
“Quiet, Akina!” Udo exclaimed, frowning at the woman behind the counter,
who looked pale and afraid. Then he turned back to Nami, who was backing away,
almost tripping on her bags, “Now wait a minute, sweetheart. You don’t have to
be afraid of me. I just want to get to know you.” He said, giving a half smile,
but it didn’t seem sincere.
‘Yeah, so you can get into my pants …’
Nami frowned before she found her back into a wall and gasped softly, “I
already told you … I-I’m not interested!”
However, Udo just walked up in
front of her, placing a palm beside her head, “It’s just dinner, sweetie.” He
said, running a finger down her face, which caused Nami to freeze in place and
her fear to sky rocket.
“Please … don’t touch me …” Her eyes widened painfully,
looking as if she could go into shock.
Furrowing his brows down at her, Udo
stared down at her in confusion, “What’s wrong with you? I didn’t even do
anything.” Then he cupped her cheek, “Calm down, sweetie. There’s nothing to be
afraid of.”
“Please … d-don’t … don’t touch me …” She whispered,
still looking terrified.
“Udo, you better just leave her
a-Aaah!” The woman screamed before she could finish,
because a body had just rushed past her right for the two.
“What the hell, Aki-Gah!” Udo
was suddenly ripped away from Nami, and was now dangle above the ground against
the wall. “What the …!?” He started before realizing he was staring down at The
Demon Fist himself, and he gasped, his face paling in color. “Wha-Wha-Wha-!?”
“I think she said … not to touch her …” Luffy seethed
through tightly clenched teeth, his expression bridging deadly. Nami had
slumped to the ground, breathing heavily but was able to get her mind back, and
she looked up now to gape up at Luffy.
Udo’s eyes widened in complete
confusion down at the Demon Fist, in the back of his mind and beyond his fear,
he wondered why this man of all men was protecting a woman. “I-I-I-!” He
stuttered, not being able to say a word.
Grabbing the man’s hair, Luffy then brought him down to
get a look at Nami, “Gah!” He exclaimed from the pain, one of his hands
reaching up to grab at Luffy’s.
Nami gasped loudly, backing away a bit, “Do you see this
woman?” Luffy asked quietly into the man’s ear.
“Yes! Yes, I see her!” Udo
replied quickly, shaking badly from his fear.
“Don’t ever touch her again … She’s mine … and don’t ever
think I won’t ever know … Because I will … and I will find you …” He seethed into his ear, shifting his eyes from
Nami to him. “You understand?”
“Yes! Yes! I-I didn’t know! I swear! I’m sorry! It won’t ever happen again!”
“Good … now get the fuck outta
here …” He said, lifting him up and shoving him hard towards the door. The man
screamed in terror, running out of the store, and leaving a trail as he did.
“Disgusting …” Then he turned to look down at Nami, who was still gaping up at
him, her jaw hanging down.
The woman behind the counter was shaking in terror, but
she was also watching intently. Then she watched as Luffy knelt down, grabbed
the orange haired woman’s arm and hauled her to her feet. Surprisingly, she
didn’t cringe in fear when he touched her, which made the woman blink. Why
would this woman fear a harmless man’s touch, but not the touch of a Demon?
“Get a hold of yourself.” He said coldly, looking down at
her with narrowed eyes.
Her brows suddenly furrowed into a deep frown, “I-I’m
fine! Not like you care!” She replied, wringing her arm from his grasp to go
back and begin looking through clothes again. Anyone else who was left in the
store coward in corners, or quickly and quietly rushed out of the store. Did
this woman not know who she was talking to!?
Snorting to himself, but not lifting a finger to
retaliate, Luffy just relaxed with a roll of his eyes. Then looking over, he
spied a chair and then went to plop down onto it to wait for his woman. After
awhile, Nami glanced over at him curiously.
“How did you find me …? How did you know …?” She couldn’t
help herself.
Snorting out an amused breath, a small smirk then
appeared onto his lips, “How did I know? Didn’t I tell you already?”
Her brows knitted, “What are you talking about?”
“I can smell … everything.”
Eyes opening more, she stared down at him, ignoring everyone else, who were just
listening in. “Smell …?” She whispered, remembering just before they’d landed
when he’d told her he could smell things about her, which made her cheeks flush
a little bit from the memory.
“Yes, smell … I could smell your fear …”
‘He could smell my
fear … He knew I was in trouble … and actually came to … save me …’ She
thought, only able to gape down at him as her cheeks flamed darker. Her eyes
hooded a bit, and she quickly looked away. Even if she disliked this man, she
couldn’t help but to feel flattered that he would do that for her, especially
because of who he was. Who was this man, really? He’d even told that man to
never touch her, because she was his. Swallowing a bit, she felt her heart
pounding her in chest, beginning to sift through clothes again, but a little
quicker.
Nose lifting in the air slightly, Luffy gave a soft sniff
at the new smell she was emitting. Head tilting, he just watched her curiously
from where he sat and in some confusion. However, suddenly something grabbed a
hold of his shorts, and he sucked in his breath, looking down at whatever dared
touch him with furrowed brows. However, at just seeing a brat, he relaxed, just
staring down at it.
“What’a you want?” He asked,
nodding to the child with a fist in its mouth.
“Kichi …!” A frightened mother cried, stepping
forward towards her child, but terrified at what The Demon Fist might do to her
child if she got too close.
Looking over, Nami noticed the child, blinked, and then
looked up at Luffy. Then she heard the mother crying out for her child in fear
as she looked over at her. Realizing the situation, she calmly walked over, not
in the least bit afraid of what Luffy might do, knelt down, lifted up the small
boy into her arms, and then walked over to the mother, who seemed even more
terrified and pale.
“Here you go,” Nami said, handing the child back to its
mother, “He’s fine.”
The woman quickly grabbed her child with tears of relief,
“Thank you …!” She cried softly before making a mad dash for the exit with her
child.
Hands on her hips, she watched the mother run off with
her baby before turning to frown at him, “You could have told her it was okay
to get her child back.”
However, Luffy merely shrugged with a care-free smirk,
“You handled it well enough … I didn’t have to do a damned thing.”
Scoffing at him in disgust, she then turned to finish her
shopping. Everyone else who still remained seemed to relax when all the Demon
Fist did was sit and watch this strange woman shop. From the looks of it, she
was his woman. The woman was able to speak to him in ways no one else dared to
do for fear for their lives. She had to be something
to him for him to allow her to do that. After awhile of watching, Luffy then
stood and stretched, which caused some people to jump.
“I’m going outside …” He muttered before walking towards
the exit.
“Right …” Nami called after him, focusing her attention
on her shopping. After she’d gathered up what she wanted and tried them on.
Satisfied that they fit, she then took them to the counter to pay.
The woman behind it shifted her eyes nervously to the
exit, “I-I can’t … make you pay …” She whispered in fear of retaliation from
the Nightmare.
Nami waved her hand in front of her face with an
irritated frown, “Oh, don’t worry about him. I pay for my things.” She said,
placing money on the counter, “Is this enough?”
The young woman merely gaped at Nami in complete and utter bewilderment, “I … I
… think so …” She finally said, looking down at the money.
Nodding then, Nami sacked the clothes herself, but then
after awhile the woman began to help her, her cheeks flushing a bit. “H-He’s
very scary … but,” The woman started, and Nami quickly looked up at her in some
surprise that she was talking to her, “wha-what he
did … was … kind of … s-sweet … and … r-romantic …” She said, her entire face
darkening to a bright red hue.
Blinking at the women with large brown orbs, Nami’s jaw
dropped a bit, not believing what the woman had just said. ‘Sweet!? Romantic!?’ After awhile, she
finally closed her jaw, “I-I don’t … It’s not like that at all … I mean … I
don’t …”
The young and pretty woman managed a smile, “H-He must …
really like you …”
Swallowing hard, Nami couldn’t help the heat that flooded
her cheeks before looking down and lifting up her things, “H-He’s … not like
that at all … I-I’m not sure what he just did … but … I don’t think it was
really for me … H-He’s … selfish … and … crazy and …” She rambled on,
collecting her things, “and annoying … and …” ‘Touchy …’ “I don’t think he meant it like that …” She continued,
her cheeks still read before glancing up at the woman staring back at her
before turning to leave with all of her things, “Thank you.”
Once she walked outside, Luffy was there, leaning against
the wall and waiting for her, “Took you long enough …”
“You could have left. You didn’t have to wait for me.”
Nami huffed, waddling past him with all of her things, but her cheeks flushed,
surprised that he actually had waited
for her. Frowning as she passed, he shrugged again, just letting it go and
followed after her. “Would it hurt to help carry this stuff?”
“Yes. I’m not the one who wanted it.”
“You’re a real gentlemen …” But then she stopped and
turned, pushing some backs into his chest, “But I’m letting you ride with me in
my ship. It’s the least you can do.” Frowning down at her deeply, he just
looked down at the bags, but never moved to grab them. Everyone within distance
watched carefully, but with some fear for the over confident woman, “And
besides … I’m going to buy you some more clothes. Those are the only ones you
have, right? You need more … and those … are looking kinda ratty.” She said in
a calmer voice, and her cheeks pinked in a soft hue as she shifted her eyes
away in some embarrassment.
Staring down into her face for a long while as his brows
relaxed a bit, he then finally reached up and took her bags. Looking back up at
him quickly, she then offered a smile before turning to find a store for him.
He didn’t follow right away, just watching after her for a bit. The more and
more of her fear she lost of him, the more and more she became just like that
woman from the other world. However, it was different somehow. It was almost as
if … she had nothing holding her back.
When he realized she’d already walked some distance away,
he lifted his chin before quickly started off after her. Once he’d started
following after her, she glanced at him over her shoulder, and he almost
stopped walking. Her cheeks still had that pink flush to them, and there was
something in her eyes he couldn’t explain, because he’d never seen that look
before. They were almost curious, or maybe questioning, and something else he
had no idea what it could be.
And then she turned back around, his pace had slowed, but
when she turned, he picked it up again. Suddenly, he wasn’t so sure about a lot
of things. Maybe he was getting himself into something he wasn’t ready for, but
it was too late now, wasn’t it? Swallowing hard, he suddenly felt a little
scared.
He scoffed, “I ain’t scared of no damned woman …”
To Be Continued …
Author’s Note: Awww! XD Don’t
misunderstand though. The D we all know and love won’t go away just like that!
XD So, what did you think of this chapter? X) I know it’s been awhile, but I
was finally in the mood to write it, and so I did. Once I get into the mood to
write something, I drop everything else and just write it. I have to go with
wherever my mind flows, and it flowed here. I hope to be able to update this a
little sooner now, but I’m also writing Forbidden
Love back on FFnet too. So, I may be switching
back and forth between the two. I was also able to make the chapter longer. I’m
happy about that too. Anyways, any input about this chapter would be nice.
Thanks for reading! XD
