At the Cross Roads of Fate
“it was absolutely wonderful playing the piano with you.” Tamaki remarked as he gently lowered the piano cover over the glossy keys.
“I still haven’t asked for your name yet…… what may I address you by?” Tamaki added. He flung the silky curtain over the pearl colored piano and the light fabric floated onto the piano perfectly.
“i… i….i am Fujioka Haruhi! Tamaki-kun?” Haruhi stumbled over her words when she snapped back to reality. Tamaki walked towards her and reached out for her hand.
“well, Haruhi, would I have the honors of taking you to class, m’lady?” Tamaki asked softly.
Haruhi bursted into laughter as she flung her head backwards. Her hair a lush hazelnut flowed behind her head and her perfect teeth shined a radiant smile. Little did Tamaki know, his heart was beating slightly faster than normal.
Haruhi quickly held Tamaki’s hand and let him lead her out the grand mahogany doors, shutting them behind with a soft light thud. The two of them walked in sync down the dim hallway, passing the colorful reflections that were casted by the stained glass windows.
“You must meet my best friend Kyoya. Kyoya Ootori. He’s an interesting person, you guys will become great friends in no time.” Tamaki cheered as he lead Haruhi, waltzing in the classroom.
Right in the center of the classroom was a small crowd of people. The people surrounded a table and were chattering away. Haruhi took a step closer, just to find an absolutely beautiful young man sitting in the center of this vortex. Even though he was surrounded by a majority of girls, and a few guys, Haruhi was able to see through the gaps of the squealing fangirls. He had jet black hair with a shine and a pair of glasses that rested quietly on his face. His dark brown eyes hid behind his glasses and he would keep a brilliant smile on his face. The young man sat cross legged on his chair and a small, red leather bound book laid on his lap. One of his hands were rested on the book, the other was swayed over the back of the chair, his slender fingers tapping rhythmically on the delicate wood. The uniform fitted his body perfectly and close to the skin, revealing his slim, but well built body; the lines formed vividly in Haruhi’s head when he slightly slouched in his seat. Haruhi was too mesmerized to realize Tamaki looking at her with concern. And she nearly jumped and fell onto Tamaki, which she would gladly do so even if she didn’t jump, when the beautiful boy placed his dark orbs on her. Seeing her reaction, Tamaki patted Haruhi on the shoulder and waltzed his way through the crowd.
“Yo Kyoya! You’re as popular as ever! How many girls did you seduce today ever since this morning? You kept count right?” Tamaki nudged Kyoya playfully then he turned around to the ladies, “Morning ladies. How you do?”
Kyoya’s eyes still rested upon Haruhi and observed her from the distance. She flushed bright pink when her chocolate brown eyes met with his cool features. They were sharp, and fierce, in contrast to the distinct, but softer features of Tamaki. One was cherry blond, the other shadow black. The two tall figures stood together like a piece of artwork; as if the two of them were made in a pair…. a yin and a yang.
“Haruhi!” Tamaki called. But she was zoned out in her own daydream that she didn’t hear Tamaki calling her. When she finally snapped out of it, she saw Tamaki storming towards her. She tried to run, but instead, Tamaki caught her and led her by the hand through the passage of jealous fangirls. Kyoya’s cocked an eyebrow in amusement from their relationship and made a small motion forward.
“Haruhi, this is Kyoya, my best friend. He might be scary at first, but once you get to know him, he’s quite amusing,” Kyoya rolled his eyes, “Really.” Tamaki added as they walked closer to the black haired angel.
“Hello, Fujioka Haruhi, if I’m not wrong. Nice to meet you.” Kyoya held out his hand and gave a business smile.
Stage one of the ultimate chaos: complete.
