Chapter One: Not So Sincere Life

“Now come on, Mimi. Tell us the truth. You are suppose to be the one with the crest of sincerity and you can’t even tell us how you are felling right now. That’s the biggest bunch of bull……” Taichi said, cutting himself off at the last minute in fear of the vase flying at his head.

All the digidestined minus Jyou, who was taking an exam today, were sitting around the coffee table, eyes glued to me as I took off my hat and placed it by my side. on the couch. The stares were enough to make someone want to run away screaming, but none the less, I just took a big breath and continued.

“I’m sorry, Taichi but I promised Sora that I wouldn’t tell you how I was feeling because it is like I am incriminating myself and, for that matter, her as well.” I stated matter of factly, after receiving the sudden death glare from Sora, who was cleaning up the vase that she just threw at Taichi’s head.

Things hadn’t changed much here since the new digidestined defeated Malomyotismon. Taichi was still being his annoying self, only this time leaning more towards annoying me than towards Yamato. Yamato and Sora had gotten even closer and by the looks of it, could be announcing an engagement in the near future. Takeru and Hikari had officially announced, to a much depressed Daisuke, that they were officially an item. Ken and Miyako had begun to show more of an interest in each other, even though they are trying desperately not to admit it even to themselves. Koushirou had begun to research the digiworld more and had even recruited the help of Sora’s dad and Jyou’s older brother, Jim. Iori proves himself to be ever much like Jyou, since he too has decided to help people and become, not a doctor though, but a lawyer. And last but not least, Jyou.

Last time I checked, he was still following his father’s wishes and trying hard to become a doctor. I wouldn’t know, though. Jyou and I haven’t spoken since the last time I lived in Japan, which was a long while ago. We spoke briefly after defeating Malomyotismon but even then I could feel the strain that the separation had caused, not only on us but all the digidestined. I felt like an outsider, watching them celebrate in their group huddle after that final battle . It made me think about how I used to be in that huddle, used to celebrate with them after it was all said and done.

That’s the only thing that has changed around here, my loneliness around the other digidestined. But I can’t tell them that. No matter how much Taichi pesters me, I can never tell how this feeling came to be inside me. Even now, sitting here at the celebration party at my own house, I feel secluded. Why I feel so ---------

“Hello. Earth to Mimi. Come in, Mimi. Are you still in there” Taichi said, as he had the nerve to get into my face.

“Oh, sorry. Where was I? Oh, yes. I just wanted to say, Thanks for coming over to my place and congratulations on beating Malomyotismon. I want to all to enjoy yourself and feel free to help yourself to anything you like.” I said, brushing off Taichi’s obvious attempt to get me to talk about my feelings, and Sora’s too.

“Are you sure that’s the only reason that we are here, Mimi. Just to party. Or is there something else going on” Yamato began to grab a root beer out of the fridge, only glancing up from behind the fridge door to add his two cents, and then came over to stand behind Sora. He sent a side glance to the younger digidestined, who were already laughing and having a good time. Something about this just didn’t feel right to him.

“Well, now that you mention it, there is” I stated, as I went over to the door that separated my parents and the partying digidestined.

“Now that I have all of your attention, I guess that I can get on with what I have to say. “ I shifted my gaze to the younger digidestined, hoping that they wouldn’t hear what I was about to say. After taking another deep breath, I continued. “Are you guys aware that I am the only one of the original digidestined that is still a virgin?”

Cue the gasping looks and the shooting of drunk soda out the mouth and noses.

Please review so i know what you want to see next, stuff that seems odd and you need answers, my writing style is to strange for you and you want me to fix it to normal style ( whatever that may be), or what i need to fix. Or maybe you just want to know when the next post will be up. Don't worry, just review. I don't bite. Also, this is, in my mind, a rough draft(all story's are).
