Chapter two: Dawn of the Weedle
****2****
It had been about five hours since they separated. The sun only an hour from setting, and so far Ash had to say the trail had been a total… let down. Sure he had seen some pokemon, but they either were gone as quickly as they were there or to far off the path for him to battle. Sure he could of just left the path and faced them, but he had given his word he would not leave the path no matter what so it was out of the question.
Not to mention he was certain the Potion Brock had given him before they separated had broken and was the cause for the wet spot on his pack that was now leaking trough his jacket.
The only interesting sight he had seen so far was the cabin they had passed about an hour ago. Not that cabins where rare, but the emergency cabins set up for lost or injured travelers were in recent times due to the expanding of pokemon centers to more and more rural areas. Not to mention it was important for a trainer to always bear in mind the locations of such useful buildings ‘Even if the only injury around here would be caused from boredom’ Ash thought with little amusement.
It’s not that the walk was grinding on him it was the pokemon themselves. He wasn’t to surprised the majority didn’t care to battle. A fight was always taxing. No what was bothering was the way they kept looking at him with an expression he couldn’t quite get, and as if by complete contrast the girl walking next to him couldn’t stop beaming with a smile as she was playing with Togepi as they walked.
Ash had never been able to fully sort out his feelings for Misty not that he ever thought about it much. He was happy she was there and she seemed content with it so that was sufficient, but at times like this when there wasn’t a battle to distract him or some new plot from the Team Rocket Duo he couldn’t help but have his eyes slide in her direction.
Her curves were perfect. Her ass fitted tightly in her short genes and her top showing the flat planes of her smooth taught stomach was more than enough to set his blood on fire. Not to mention the way her shirt had begun to hug her breast here recently was the perfect touch.
Ash knew that Misty has always been sensitive about the size of her breast though of course she had never confided this into anyone. But it wasn’t hard to miss once you got to know her and saw how she longed after the size of some of her more ‘gifted’ piers. The truth be told though Ash never had been into those giants Misty always daydream of. He much more preferred the smaller ones. They where perfect to play with, fitting in yours hands just right and when you started to put it in your mouth they…
“Hey you okay?” Misty’s sudden inquiry causing Ash to jump from his daydreams back to reality and turning as red as the packet Pikachu was currently suckling from.
“Whhatt of ccoursse” he stuttered trying to walk eyes dead set anywhere but at his friends chest.
“Good because with that daydream cast to your eyes I almost thought for a second you had been hit by a hypnosis or confusion” Misty said laughing at the annoyed look in Ash’s face at the obvious joke made in his expense.
“Please as if I the Great Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town would get caught off guard” he said trying to regain some measure of pride back from being caught off guard so easily.
“Than tell me oh great trainer if it wasn’t a pokemon that had you so fascinated, what than out here had you so lost in thought?” Something about Misty’s smile and the light of her eyes told him she new exactly what had had his mind so lost in space. He wasn’t sure how to respond he was sure she new, he was hardly one gifted at being discreet, and for some reason that thought got more of a reaction from his body than the previous ones that had put him in this spot to began with.
However before he could answer Misty froze in mid stride causing Togepi to let out a chirp of surprise from her resting place on Misty‘s back. Confused Ash turned to investigate what had caused this and found the corporate of Misty’s fear quick enough.
In a clearing about ten yards in front of them a lone weedle stood nibbling the grass completely unconcerned of the intruders in his midst.
Seeing the golden ticket to drop the conversation and to play the hero Ash wasted little.
“Okay Pikachu this one is all you buddy” the shout and advancement of Pikachu was finally enough to make the weedle turn in their direction causing Misty to become more rigid if that was possible.
“Now Pikachu Thunder Bolt” Ash shouted as his command was followed by the Signature move of his most dearest and trusted of pokemon.
What happened next was so fast that the speed easily toped the speed of the bolt being launched, faster than either trainer or pokemon could see or react.
Right before the attack landed their was a loud pop as the target’s movement broke through the sound barrier disappearing completely from view and than reappearing another ten yards farther back. The look in his eyes told Ash instantly that this was not a retreat just a positioning. Acting out of pure instinct he and Pikachu did the only thing they could and jump and dodged out of the way as weedle launched his retaliation.
The Poison Sting that followed was of a level that Ash had never seen. The barbs were large much to large, larger than even the attacker himself and their number was enough it looked like a solid wall being slammed against them. A wall of poison, a wall of death.
Pikachu had managed to land behind a conveniently placed boulder which sheltered him from the attack, but Ash was not so lucky as a few of the barbs slammed into his leg. The sudden explosion of pain from the venom like having fire splashed on his right leg caused Ash to do the only thing he could and that was to howl in pain as the fire begin to spread leaving him withering on the ground.
Somehow though through his own pain he realized what was missing. Where was Misty? If she was hit then shouldn’t she of yelled? And if she wasn’t struck she should have been over their by now helping him, shouldn’t she? Through the pain and the sudden nausea he forced himself to stand the concern for his friend blinding him to his own needs.
Pikachu had recovered from the attack as swiftly as he dared and checked the weedle as he slowly left the battle field content in it’s victory. Once he was certain the weedle did not intend to continue the fight he raced over to his master’s side the smell of the poison clear to his nose like a landfill packed with Muks. The concentration had even left a damp spot in the denim where it hit. But with the rustle of the wind Pikachu suddenly smelt a much higher concentration of the poison and looked to see the fallen body of his Masters most cherished friend laying stiff eyes ghostly.
It didn’t take Ash two seconds to locate Misty she was pretty much where she had been, though now she was on the ground laying still chest unmoving. Ash tried to run to her, but his right leg suddenly seized up painfully crashing him to the ground on the second step and causing him to vomit from the sudden rush of nausea .
Cursing he forced himself to ignore the pain to ignore the nausea he wasn’t about to let his dearest friend die for his mistakes.
‘Why didn’t I listen to Brock’ he thought forcing himself to stand again ‘why did I have to have my on way’ he thought taking one step than forcing the next, taking one step than forcing the next. The pain in his leg was nothing compared to what was gripping his chest as he forced himself inch by inch closer to his friend as his body tried to seize up. He looked desperately for signs of life breath, a twitch, a moan, but heard nothing saw nothing.
He had to ignore the pain, the nausea, the hot tears trying to blind him, but most importantly he had to ignore the fear that was trying to take him as he finally got close enough to collapse and drag himself the next couple of feet to Misty’s side. Pikachu looking on in confusion and fear unsure what to do and certain that there was little he could.
The only good news was when Togopi poked her head out having been sheltered in her position on her ’mother’s’ back.
This close Ash refused to give up and began to shake Misty as hard as he could yelling her name. Togepi crying out for her ‘mother’ in confusion and growing feared as Misty continued to lay there unresponsive.
Her eyes continued to just stare out lifelessly her chest unmoving.
“MISTY, Misty wake up,” Ash yelled with all his might “I’m sorry I drugged you here, we should of went with Brock we should never of came here. Wake up damn it. Don’t leave me..” the last coming out in a hoarse whisper as the tears rained down his face and he laid his forehead on hers to tired to hold up his head any longer.
It was than he heard it very shallow, almost quite enough he thought it was his imagination, Misty breath was almost nothing hardly enough to move a hair, but it was defiantly there.
With a new growing resolve Ash again prepared to force his body to move, but was happy to find the pain had mostly subsided, however the nausea was beginning to grow worst and his head was starting to fell like there was a growing pain. That however he could ignore as he pulled off his pack searching for the only item he had he thought could help at all before he remembered the growing wet spot.
Ignoring the new fear he opened the pack and was hit with such a wave of relief at seeing the Potion unharmed he almost lost his lunch again. The wet spot he noticed briefly was caused by busted packets of ketchup. ‘How did Pikachu get those in here?’ he wondered “And why does it look like all the colors are more vivid?” he asked as his vision suddenly swirled and began to grow black.
Before he could fall entirely a sudden sharp pain struck his arm causing his eyes to refocus noticing a strange yellow creature who had suddenly bitten him. A small rivet of red liquid was left by the strange creature in it began to yell at him in a strange high pitch voiced causing the fog in his head to tense and a sharp pain to lance through it. But his eyes stayed on the red liquid ‘So I’m full of Ketchup? So I’m Ash Ketchup? What a Strange dream.’ He thought amusingly as his attention was suddenly caught by an egg with strange markings on it as it cried over the limped body of a girl. The egg was shaking the strange girl as hard as it’s little arms allowed it as if the egg was trying to wake the girl.
The girl caught Ash’s attention last, but held it the strongest. Her eyes pointing in his direction, but not pointed at him. In fact they weren’t pointed anywhere as if the girl was asleep.
‘Will that’s rude’ Ash thought ‘just going to sleep without introducing yourself in my house of all places’ the walls around him seemed to warp and bend strangely. His floor felt strange to like it was made of dirt.
He hardly noticed that though, the face of the girl in front of him was his only focus. In fact everything else seemed to blur like it wasn’t actually there. And more than the face the last trace of light in the girl’s eyes caught his own as it flickered in shrunk. Such a weak light just a moment more and it will be gone forever, and for some reason that terrified him. Like once it was gone he’d lose an important part of himself.
Suddenly he was jerked back as a new pain ripped through his body.
Pikachu’s Thunder Bolt forced volt after volt through Ash’s body waking him from the forced delusion caused by the venom and ripping apart the fogged that crowded Ash’s mind.
As soon as the attack subsided Ash was back in the present his ‘room’ again being the woods surrounding him and the girl sleeping became Misty and it wasn’t sleep that’s almost had her.
Quickly, again acting out of pure instinct he began to apply the medicine as best he could not even certain how will Pokemon medicine worked for humans, but he didn’t care he had to do something.
‘What the hell is wrong with me, my friend, the girl I care for more than anyone else in this whole damn world is dieing and I nearly let her by going off and daydreaming.’ Anger begin to boil in him much hotter than he ever felt before like white fire it cursed through his veins with more devastation than the poison ever could of. The anger devoured his pain, his nausea, and his fear.
His muscles screamed in protest but he didn’t hear them as he lifted Misty on his back Togepi and Pikachu following closely on foot. He began to take a step than another than a third. He didn’t know where his legs were taking him, but it dawned on him soon enough.
The Emergency Cabin. It was far closer than town and it should be stocked with what he needed.
The hike was tough far tougher than any he’d ever walked before. He could fell Misty’s garments soaked by the poison from weedle’s attack, and anywhere where the poison soaked through his own he could fell the tingling burn it caused. Already his arms were numb he wasn’t even exactly sure how he was still managing to carry her. All he knew was that today she would not die and he would make sure of that even if his body was crying out from the cramps caused from the poison and the nausea threatened to make him throw up after every step. He refused to give up.
It was than in the setting sun he began to notice them. It wasn’t the pokemon themselves but their eyes staring out at him from their homes. Thousand and thousands of eyes seemed to weigh on him more than Misty’s body did. It was than he understood the look they were giving him earlier… contempt.
To them he was nothing, not even a threat, but now they said something more something sinister they said “Your arrogance has lead you to this path, you who thought yourself worthy of our house, now look where you stand, and now prove to us you are worthy of our mercy.”
Despite it all Ash still felt no fear he allowed the fire inside to burn away his fear as he shouted back at the woods “I WILL NOT FALL HERE, SHE WILL NOT DIE, I WILL BEAT THIS FOREST NO MATTER WHAT.” The shout was enough to turn his voice raspy as Pikachu and Togepi suddenly began looking around in shock at what Ash was yelling at.
But Ash didn’t even notice them his mind was still on the eyes that now seemed to decrease in numbers as they began to drift away as if they were content with his answer, tell there was only one left “We shall meet again child your path will bring you here a second time and than we shall show you no mercy”.
“Fine” Ash whispered in response “but next time I won’t lose.”

And here is chapter two which means I am 66.66667% done with my first story. I wonder what the closer will be? Is Misty going to kill over in the very first book? Was I serious about a sex scene in the next chapter? Where does Pikachu keep finding those Ketchup Packets?
On a quick side note this is my first time to ever try and write someone going through a psychedelic moment.
