Part 1
AN: OK, by practically unanimous results (and a few entirely nice threats from my lovely friends) this is officially another pain in my ass! But that's ok, I started it and I do have a few ideas for this, but don't expect regular updates for this.
I will mainly be working on 'Gold & Guns' and'End Transmission'which are my largest projects at the moment, well that and my lovely Mihael's b-day fic which is KILLING me.. XD

Matt stretched his arms above his head with a sigh. He was bored, and had been bored ever since he had gotten his new assignment. Or rather, the call about a new assignment. He hadn't actually gotten the promised e-mail yet. He wasn't worried; they always contacted him again in the end.
Though he did find it slightly odd that it was already a week later and no sign of them. He grinned at the possibility that they were having a hard time with a background check, as some of his past employers had tried to do. There was no way anything would be found, or even could be found.
While Matt may not have been the worlds best hacker, he was one of the best out there. He didn't have a history, hacking related or otherwise, because he had deleted it in every sense of the word. Sure, they could find out previous jobs he'd done, especially if they knew what to look for in the damage path, but the only information on him was known only to the trail of dead bodies he had long since left behind and his own mind.
He always moved after he obtained a new job and after he completed one. He only rented at places that were cash only and had no credit cards in his own name as that would have simply been stupid after all of his careful planning.
Matt began to wonder if it had gone beyond careful planning and had edged into outright paranoia. He wouldn't be surprised though. He worked with dangerous people, and pissed off even more dangerous people, on a weekly if not daily basis.
But it wasn't all bad.
He let his gaze wander to the brown UPS package that sat on his table, foam innards spilling out onto the table, and smirked lazily at the smooth black barrel that protruded from the mess. It belonged to a 96A1 Beretta, relativly old in this time but he preffered them to the new electronic ones which tended to jam or malfunction due to the chip inside.
The only payment he had wanted from his last job was a few guns as they were the best in the area at obtaining the good ones; he sort of had a fixation on guns ever since he was a child, though he couldnt remember what had started it. He had been given two outright but had wanted the 96A1 that they didnt have on hand.
He'd had the box diverted six times through false addresses until it got to his apartment, earlier that day, and he was certain that no one would find out where he lived before he moved again.
But despite his prize, he was bored. And when he was bored he got antzy. Sure, he had his video games, but he had played them all and none of the new releases for the PS3 looked worth the time it took to pirate them never mind actually buy them. And he had more than enough of hacking until he started on the job.
He heaved himself out of the chair and shuffled lazily across the room to the safe in the corner. He really didnt need it, as anything in there that was stolen he could easily get again, but it couldnt hurt to have some protection for his hacked money, right?
He pressed his thumb to the electronic keypad and only once it had confirmed his voice did it slid open. He withdrew a large wad of cash as well as one of his lesser used ID cards. He was in Vegas, so he might as well hit up the casino's if his idiot employers didnt want him yet.
Besides, maybe he could scam a few people and have a bit of fun?
He pressed his thumb to the keypad once more and the safes door slid shut. He didn't keep his guns in there as it took too damn long to get them out, and with the type of people he knew a few seconds meant life or death.
Matt grinned. He had actually seen it happen first hand. He had killed a rival hacker who kept his firearms in a safe. Best safe around, unless you needed whatever was in it quickly. He had shot the guy in the back of the head at close range just as it had confirmed voice recognition.
He snatched his goggles off the computer table and swifty tugged them on. He liked them well enough, but he really only needed them for the long hacking hours in front of the computer or during the day; he had a bit of photosensativity and daylight always made him squinty without something to protect his eyes.
The new gun went into the inside of his vest and a knife into his boot before he was satisfied enough to leave the apartment. Afterall, just becuase they said no guns in the casinos, didn't mean anyone obayed that law.
-End Part 1-
AN: If there are any errors please tell me, my Spell Check isn't working at all for some reason, and I tend to miss things as my brain knows what is supposed to be said XD
Other than that, how was it?
