A/N: Sorry for the short length here just wanted to get something up today an while this chapter is not finished its a start. I do intend to continue but im trying to figure out how to approach her first pokemon an who it shall be.. I will take any ideas

“MOM!!!! COME ON ALREADY I WANNA GO!!!” Samantha huffed as she her skirt shuffled some as she stamped her foot. She looked at her Pokegear impatiently. Her hair was cut short much to her horror an her wide forehead showed more without any bangs to cover it. Freckles dotting her face accentuated by her flushed look.
“Hold your Ponyta's Samantha the Pokemon aren't going anywhere.” Kerstin laughed remember how she was the same day she got started. She sighed, she felt so much joy for her girl. Yet was so torn, what if something bad happened to her. Kerstin shook her head laughing as she walked down carrying a present, at which Sam instantly stopped huffing and ran over to see it.
“OMG WHAT IS IT!?” she was literally jumping looking from her mom to the present back to her mom before finally squealing loudly causing the house pokemon to cover their ears. Kerstin's absol just smiled. Sam ripped into it the paper flying everywhere as the pulled out a compartment covered belt inside the box was also 10 small red an white balls. Sam's eyes went wide
“AWWWWEEESSSOOOMMMMEEE!!!” the 14 year old's entire body just jump before she ran around in circles happily. She hugged her mom tightly as Kerstin just smiled.
“Ok honey” she got down on her knees so she wouldn't tower over her daughter” Will you promise me to have fun, remember I will always be here. Be safe and always know your pokemon are with you.” She gave her daughter one last hug. “I love you sweetie”
“I love you too Mom. I gotta go though I'm late!” With that Sam ran towards the nearby pokemon center to receive her first registered pokemon.
