            Hi. I kinda like you. I, well, I can’t really think of anything else to say. I wanted to write you a letter, but the words won’t come. I guess that’s just how bad I’ve got it. And I could never say anything in person because it would be embarrassing because I think you really like Germany and I just had to get my thoughts out and this is a really long run on sentence.

            First off, your Italian sucks, but I think you’re cute anyway! And no, Germany is just a really good friend. He’s dating Sweden now, didn’t you know? Oops, not supposed to tell anyone that, but I trust you not to blab. So, from now on, write in a language that you’re much better at okay?             I guess I can write in French. I know a bit of it. France used to come over to my house a lot.

            I love pasta. Homemade macaroni and cheese is the best. The store bought kind is okay, but I once visited a South Carolina senator whose wife made it with real cheddar and everything. It was delicious! And I like tortellini, spaghetti, fettuecini, and pizza. Okay, pizza isn’t pasta but its Italian-ish right?

            So, do you play any video games? I once heard you talking to Japan about them.

            Italy smiled. “Well, I recognized your handwriting! You do all your ‘D’s this one way that stood out to me because they were so pretty!”

            The other Nation blushed. “Ah, okay. And yeah, I’d like to go out for gelato.”

            Italy kissed him on the cheek. “Yay!” He grabbed America’s hand, and out the door they went. Together.
