Matthew Williams was sleeping sprawled across a wide bed with black sheets and a white comforter. A shock of white hair poked out of the sheets beside him. The sun was spilling in through the crack in the heavy curtains hung over a high window and cast its light over the face of the blonde's exposed face. With a grunt and groan he takes his arm and throws it over his face, covering his eyes. Just as he is settling back down a red and white phone on the bedside table begins to play a punk version of 'God Save the Queen'. A matching set of groans comes from the bed as Matthew reaches over to smack at the phone, grabbing it and pulling it to his ear to answer. Meanwhile a head of white hair has made its way out from under the sheets to glare at the offending piece of technology.
"If that's your idiot brother, tell him to fuck off."
Matthew checks the caller id, though the ringtone gave away who was really calling him.
"Actually it's Arthur."
"He's probably trying to call your idiot brother then."
Matthew pats Gilbert on the head to quiet him as he answers the phone. "Hello. Arthur?"
"Oh Matthew, thank God. I thought you'd never answer."
It takes Matthew a moment to realize Arthur actually was trying to call him. "Arthur, what is it? You never call me."
"Er, yes, I'm sorry about that. It also must be late in Ottawa. I must have woken you up, but I'm having something of an emergency and I need you to get over here as quickly as you can."
Matthew glances at the sun coming in through the basement window and then glances at the clock on the bedside table, blushing.
"Eh, don't worry about that. Arthur what happened? Why aren't you calling Alfred if you need help?"
Matthew hears a sort of strangled sound on the other end of the line and glances curiously to his side.
"I, actually its Alfred I need help with. Please just get here as quickly as you can. Hopefully he'll sleep until you get here."
"Alright. I'll be there in a few hours."
"A few hours. Its a longer flight than that from Ottawa, isn't it?"
"I'm actually visiting Gilbert in Germany right now Arthur. It won't take me long to get there." Matthew braces himself to get yelled at for being with the German or something but after a pause Arthur just sighs and asks the Canadian to please be quick about it and hurry.
After they end the call Matthew just stares at his phone in confusion.
"I expected him to say something about that, this must be pretty serious if he isn't concerned."
"He remembered you, that makes it serious." Gilbert grumbles and rolls out of the bed, grabbing up a pair of boxers from the floor. After studying them for a moment in his sleepy haze he tosses them at the Canadian before grabbing another pair and slipping them on. "I'll get us a flight." Gilbert walks to the stairs and then starts up them with a slight wince of pain.
"Sorry, I guess I was a bit rough last night."
"No problem the awesome me can handle it."

It doesn't take the pair long to book a flight and make their way to London. they were just pulling up to Arthur's house when he opens the door to greet them. He scowls a bit at seeing Gilbert but holds his tongue. After Matthew pays the cab driver he turns to face Arthur.
"So, why am I here? And why did you want me to get here before Al woke up? Where is he anyway?"
The scowl on the Brit's face is quickly replaced with an ashamed blush and he turns away from the two.
"He's in my room, still asleep."
Matthew studies Arthur for a quick moment before striding past the Brit and into his house. It didn't take a genius to figure out why the Brit seemed a bit off after that. Matthew knew he never would have let his brother share his bed, added to that the shamed look in his eyes. Matthew was going to beat the older blonde into a bloody pulp, but first he was going to check on his brother.
Gilbert watches his lover storm past his former guardian in surprise. Matthew hardly ever got so angry and heaven help those that managed to get him pissed off.
"What did you do to Alfred that got Birdie so pissed?"
Instead of answering him Arthur steps back into his house and motions for Gilbert to come in with him. "Why don't you come in and sit down Gilbert, Matthew may be a while."
Gilbert follows him a displeased look on his face as his question was ignored, just as he is about to ask again he sees Arthur sit heavily on the sofa, burying his face in his hands and looking for all the world like someone just ripped out his heart and stomped on it.
"I did something I really shouldn't have last night Gilbert."

Upstairs Matthew had made his way into Arthur's room and found his brother sprawled out across the sheets. It wasn't hard to tell he wasn't wearing anything except the sheets. Matthew wanted to punch something but he also knew that when alfred woke up he was probably going to want a friendlier face. He was still finding it hard to believe that Arthur would do something like this. Let alone that Alfred wouldn't fight back, which meant something else had to have happened that Arthur felt that he was still in the wrong despite Alfred's lack of a fight.
A groan from the bed brings Matthew out of his musings and he quickly softens his expression as his brother slowly shifts and sits up with a wince.
"Oww, what the hell?" He looks around the room, blinking and Matthew realizes Alfred's glasses aren't in the room. So whatever it was Alfred at least didn't start in Arthur's room.
"Hey Al. Do you remember what happened last night?" Best to check to see if he had maybe gotten drunk last night, that might explain things.
Alfred blinks and turns to face his brother, squinting due to his lack of glasses. He thinks for a moment before looking terribly confused.
"Yeah, but I don't get it. It was really weird, Arthur... Hey where is Arthur?"
"He's downstairs." Matthew comes over and sits next to his brother on the bed, wrapping an arm around him. "What did Arthur do to you last night Alfred? He's really upset that he did something to you."
"He's upset?" Alfred thinks for a moment and then nods. "Well it was storming last night so I came in here to make sure Arthur wasn't scared of the thunder." Matthew nods, he knew that Alfred was the one that was scared of the storm, but he never wanted to admit it. "Then he started to pet my hair and then he kept touching a specific spot and it made me feel really funny, but good too. We, we kissed, but it wasn't like you do in greeting. It felt nice. Then he went back to touching that one spot in my hair and he wouldn't stop, even when I asked him to. I couldn't make him stop either." Alfred looks up at Matthew who was now holding his brother on his lap.
"Its alright Alfred. Did he hurt you?"
"Alfred shakes his head, "No, it felt really nice and he was really gentle when he poked me in places I never thought you could get poked in."
Matthew blushes slightly at that. He knew it was partially his fault for his brother's lack of this kind of knowledge. It had been a double edged sword of sorts. Matthew had cast a spell to be over looked by others when he was younger. The result, or payment, was that Alfred had to stay pure, innocent. Alfred was still pure, maybe not innocent, but he didn't fully understand what had happened last night. Sighing Matthew begins to explain things to Alfred. About what had happened last night and why Arthur may have done it. It was another hour before Matthew had fully explained everything to his brother, he had let the other pull his clothes back on as he explained things.
"So let me get this straight. Because you were left behind by both the Nordics and France you thought it would be best if you were just over looked and forgotten so you cast some spell to make it happen. And the cost of this spell was that I was forced to remain 'innocent' and so I grew up not knowing anything about sex so you could hide in the shadows and be forgotten."
"Er yeah. Putting it like that makes me fell like a real hoser."
Alfred crosses his arms, "Yeah, you are."
Matthew winces at his brother's tone.
"I still can't believe I was kept in the dark for so long. I should have been able to figure something out on my own. Unless that spell had a hand in that."
"It might have. I'm not entirely sure of all it was capable of."
"Well anyway, I guess this means you're not going to get forgotten as easily huh?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Don't worry, you'll be fine. Now I should go talk to Arthur. He's probably beating himself up over this."
The brother's head downstairs to see Arthur and Gilbert sitting in the sitting room, Gilbert Glaring at Arthur while Arthur is still in the same position of holding his face in his hands.
"Heya Artie, Gilbert. How's it going?"
Gilbert looks up from his glare at the Brit to blink in confusion at Alfred's cheery behavior. Arthur doesn't move.
"Gil I'm going to make pancakes, why don't you come with me to the kitchen so these two can talk."
"Sure Birdie." He glances between the two blonde before following the Canuck to the kitchen, leaving the two blondes behind.
Alfred sits on the sofa next to Arthur, who still hasn't moved. Just as he is about to open his mouth and say something, the Brit cuts him off.
"You must hate me now."
Alfred pauses, thinking it might be fun to mess with the Brit, but deciding against it. With a sigh he responds. "No, I don't hate you. Last night, I was scared. And that's hard for me to admit. I didn't know what you were doing or what I was feeling." He looks at the Brit who is still keeping his face hidden in his hands. "Arthur." He reaches out and puts his hand on the other's shoulder. "I'm really not mad at you. Matt explained everything to me so I'd understand." Alfred crosses his arms and puts on a playful pout. "Actually I'm upset with Matt since apparently it was his meddling that caused me to not understand what was happening last night." Alfred glances over at Arthur to see how he reacts to that.
It takes a moment for it to sink in with Arthur that Alfred was not mad at him for what he did, then another moment for the realization that apparently Matthew had caused Alfred to lack the understanding. That was when his face screwed up in confusion.
""Wait, how did Matthew cause you to not understand sex?"
Alfred looks up thoughtfully, "I don't really understand it, something to do with magic and purposefully getting overlooked and it having a cost in needing an innocent or something. To be honest I didn't really understand it all. But now Matt's not going to get overlooked as much anymore."
Arthur's expression goes from confused to angered rather quickly. "So wait, Matthew is the reason you didn't, and I..." Arthur begins to stand to go give Matthew a piece of his mind but Alfred manages to grab him around the waist, holding him back.
"Hey I already told him off. And he had a good reason at least for doing what he did. So no getting mad at him. Besides even if it was his fault you still aren't in the right for what you did, so you have to at least say you're sorry or something."
Arthur looks down at the one whose arms were wrapped securely about his waist and found the younger blonde to be pouting up at him in a way that the elder could not resist. He looks away with a blush.
Alfred grins when he sees Arthur turn away with a dusting of pink on his cheeks. Now that he knew what that meant he felt like teasing the shorter man and yanked him down to the sofa, snuggling up against his side. "Arthur." He whines, "Are you thinking naughty thoughts about me again?"
At the slight stiffening and strong denial that follow that question Alfred gets his answer and leans up to place a kiss to Arthur's lips.
"Its ok if you were." He snuggles back against Arthur with a smile. "But let me recover a bit before we go another round ok."
