Outside the door, Alex slides to the ground, her head in her hands and tears running down her cheeks. She’s no longer even thinking of the Pokémon, unable to focus on it due to the desire to see her parents once again. The Electabuzz pats her shoulder before he feels Alex wrapping her arms around him, just hugging him. Alex ignores the fact that the thunder and lightning are crashing around her, caught up in her anger at her sister. Her body is soaked by the rain and her hair clings to her face in a wet mess. Looking up at Thunderbuzz, Alex sighs.
“Thunder, I miss how she used to be, before they died. He was fun, and loving, and we used to be able to sit in the same room without fighting like kids. I want my sister back, not this mothering nightmare she’s become.” Alex sobs into Thunder’s fur, the electric type sighing as it motions for her to get up and go back inside before she gets sick.
“Alex, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you like Mom did. I just miss her, and I want her back.” Saki tries to explain before seeing Alex glaring at her, her eyes promising death if she continues talking; she quickly shuts up and walks back into the room, looking at the green and white Pokéball on her dresser.
Arkanon nuzzles Saki’s hand before running into Alex’s room, jumping on her bed and curling up in her lap. Thunderbuzz was recalled into his Pokéball, leaving room for the fire type on the bed. Alex wraps her arms around the puppy’s furry neck and holds him close, feeling his warmth flowing through her body.
Saki picks up the green and white Pokéball, the colors painted on when she went through a Pokéball design class, the ball holds her first Pokémon, and the only one her parents gave her when she was with them still. Pressing the button, Saki feels calmed as the red light fades to reveal a Gardevoir standing in the room, her human appearance soothing Saki’s loneliness. Saki falls into the Gardevoir’s embrace, allowing the green skinned beauty to hold her close for a little while.
“Saki, why did you call me out? What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Gardevoir’s feminine voice questions as she looks at her trainer, Saki’s only reply to stare up at her and cry harder.
“Jade, I’m so sorry, but I’ve fucked up again. I keep hurting Alex; I only want her to grow up and learn to be a good person! She’s my sister, but I keep yelling at her, I keep hurting her and she keeps running from me.” Saki sobs into Gardevoir’s arms as the Pokémon holds her tightly, whispering soothingly to her and using psychic waves to calm her.
“That’s alright Saki, you know I’m here for you. You know I’ll always be here for you.” Jade whispers softly as she holds her trainer close and watches the room protectively.
In the other room, Alex is clinging to her Growlithe’s fur, crying about how mean her sister is and how she wishes their parents were still alive. Arkanon is snuggling and nuzzling her in an attempt to soothe her into sleep. Alex falls asleep with her arms wrapped around Arkanon’s body, causing the puppy Pokémon to murr contentedly in his sleep as her hand brushes across his sheath.
By the next day the fight is forgotten, the siblings are back to ignoring each other as usual. Alex decides to spend some time exploring the forest in search of new Pokémon and Arkanon is glad to be heading out with her. Saki and her Gardevoir are asleep on the floor, Saki still held in Jade’s arms. Jade stirs as she feels Alex and Ark leaving the house, but she doesn’t wake.
“So, where should we look next? I still want to find that blue eyed Pokémon we saw last night. I want to see if I can capture it.” Alex comments, earning a growl from Arkanon. She ruffles the Growlithe’s fur and smirks at him, finding his jealousy cute.
“Don’t worry Ark; you know I’m not going to replace you. You’re too cute to be replaced.” Alex comments. The Growlithe sits down and proceeds to groom himself, looking more than feline while doing so. Alex sits down beside the puppy and gently strokes the striped fur on his head. She remembers when she first got the Growlithe, and how happy she was waiting to show him off to her parents.
“Saki! I caught a Growlithe! You have to see him, he’s so adorable!” Alex shouts as she runs inside holding a Pokéball, her hair pulled back in pigtails and tied with ribbons to match her pink dress. Saki walks into the room, her long black hair down to her waist and tied with a blue ribbon.
“You did a great job, sis. You need to show Mom and Dad when they get home.” Saki replies, looking at the clock nervously. Their parents work at the power plant, and are three hours late getting home. Saki turns on the news just as a knock on their door startles the girls. Saki answers the door to see Officer Jenny looking at them with tears in her eyes.
“Are you the children of Alvin and Mary Arceanus?” She asks holding out a slip of paper to the elder sister. Saki takes it and invites the officer in. As the siblings sit down, Officer Jenny looks at them, afraid of what she must tell these little girls.
“I’m sorry, but there was an accident at the Plant today involving a colony of electric types, your parents tried to stop the Pokémon from injuring anybody, but they were electrocuted by an Electivire. They died before reaching the hospital. I’m so sorry.” Officer Jenny relays the message to the two girls, watching as Alex drops the Pokéball containing her newly caught Growlithe, setting him free from the ball. The puppy barks his name, before whimpering softly as he realizes his new trainer is crying while holding her sister on the couch. An Officer Jenny is sitting on the couch as well, looking lost.
Arkanon turns and looks up at his trainer, licking her hand as a tear falls down her cheek. Alex turns to her Growlithe and picks him up, hugging him close to her body and kissing his fur as she cries. The little Growlithe whimpers softly, wondering what’s come over his trainer as he nuzzles her gently in an attempt to soothe her.
Inside the house, Saki and Jade are working on cleaning, the Gardevoir trying to think of ways to get the sisters back to their old selves. The Gardevoir had been captured as a Ralts by the girls’ father, and given to Saki on her 13th birthday as a companion when she began showing signs of depression. With Saki now nearing her twentieth birthday and Alex having just turned seventeen, Jade wants the girls to be happy. Slowly she begins forming a plan to get them to talk to each other again.
A/N: Yeah I know, this is not like my other stories at all, I need a break from the vore and gore of my other stories though, so I'm doing a rather slow-paced Yuri fluff story. This hopefully won't be quite as long as my other ones, but if you haven't guessed who the blue eyes belong to yet, I guess it will be a perfect surprise for you ^_^ -WWMH-
