Ch. 2 Telling mom and meeting the starters

"Mom I'm home," said Steve as he entered the house.

"Honey where were you I looked all over but couldn't find you. How many times have I told you not to go off with out telling me," scolded Steve's mom coming around the corner from the kitchen. 

"Yeah sorry mom but I forgot and well I was excited that I am finally old enough to start my pokemon journey so I kinda went down to the pokemon lab and got my pokemon," replied Steve while looking at his mom. At thirty-six his mom still had the figure of an eighteen year old along flawless pale white skin and midnight black hair. All in all Steve's mom was a milf at least that's what the other kids in town said when they thought Steve couldn't hear them. He felt they were right though his mom was gorgeous, someone in Steve's mind who should have been a model. Steve felt he was lucky to take after his mother in that he had her hair and flawless skin although his skin was slightly darker taking after his father who he was told had very dark skin almost to the point it was said he would blend in with the night.

"Wait what your going to start a pokemon journey how come this is the first I'm hearing of this you know how I feel about you going on a journey"

"I know mom but this is really important to me and the with the officer Jenny's cracking down on crime in Unova there is no a better time to start my journey," argued Steve .

"I know that the Jenny's are trying but I still don't like it, I mean who's to say something doesn't happen to you like happened to your father and I never see you again," said Steve's mom distraught at the thought of anything happening to Steve.

"Mom I promise you that I will be careful but I'm fourteen and I want to go on a journey to see new places and meet new people"

"Ok honey but we will go shopping tomorrow and get the things you need for your journey. Now that that's settled which starter did you choose?"

"I chose all three , I asked the professor why people only were allowed one starter pokemon and she said that it was just tradition and that if I wanted I could start with all three starter pokemon by passing two test. Well I guess you know me I took it as a challenge and passes both test!" said Steve excited that his mom was gonna let him go on a journey and that he had all three Unova starter pokemon.

"Wow honey I wish I would have known that when I was younger but something's are not meant to be. Anyway come on release your pokemon so we can meet them," said his mom.

"Come on out you guys," said Steve releasing his pokemon.

"Uh Steve I think you meant 'come on out you girls' these are all female pokemon," stated his mom.

Steve looked and sure enough he could tell right away that his mom was right all three of his starter pokemon were female.

"Wow that's different I thought it was rare to get female starters and here I am getting all female starters." Steve pointed out while thinking internally that maybe he should train all female pokemon as this was surly a sign.

"Hey honey we ought to have a mock battle with you choosing one and me choosing another to test out their skills."

"Sure in that case I will use tepig," Steve said picking up Tepig while waiting to see which pokemon his mom would use. He groaned when he noticed that his mom pick up oshawott and picked up snivy following his mom outside. Steve tried to place snivy down after making it outside only to notice that she seemed not to want to leave his side.

"Hello snivy I promise that you, tepig, oshawott and I will sit down and get to know each other after this battle but right now I have to battle my mom and oshawott with tepig so please sit on the sidelines and watch snivy?" Steve asked seeing snivy was reluctant to let him go.

"Snivy sni"

"Yes after this battle I promise we all will sit down to some of my mom's great cooking and some pokemon food and get to know one another ok?" Asked Steve.

"Sni" said snivy while nodding her head.

"Ok thank you Rose," said Steve just thinking up the nickname for snivy.

"Snivy!" Said Rose while hugging her trainers leg to show her affection for the nickname before going and sitting patiently on the sidelines.

"We will just be battling for two minutes no reason to wear out your pokemon on your first day having them," stated Steve's mom.

"Ok that's fine we can begin whenever you like"

"Now" said Steve's mom before telling oshawott to use razor shell. Steve knowing it would be super effective against tepig told tepig to dodge by digging into the ground. Steve knew that in a straight up battle oshawott would win so decided to use a hit and run strategy by using dig to tunnel around underneath oshawott but unfortunately his mom had a counter ready. 

"Oshawott use water gun to fill up the holes where tepig is," ordered Steve's mom.

Steve could only watch as the holes tepig had dug filled with water. Knowing he only had one chance to win before he lost his advantage he ordered tepig to attack using fire spin catching oshawott in the spinning tornado of fire Steve felt he had won until he heard his mom tell oshawott to use razor shell to cut her way out of the flames.

"That's enough honey we can tell you got some wonderful pokemon. Now come inside and I will cook us some supper and put out some pokemon food for your pokemon. Then you can sit down and play with them while getting to know one another," said Steve's mom already on the way inside.

Rose seeing that they were going inside jumped onto Steve's shoulder with oshawott and tepig trailing behind. Steve's mom made tacos and while Steve got the pokefood ready. When it was ready they all sat down at the table with the pokemon sitting in the table and ate a lovely dinner. Afterwards Steve went with his pokemon to his room and got to know them. Steve found that Rose was very affectionate with tepig and oshawott warming up to him easily. They stayed up late but in the end Steve decided that they should get some rest so they had energy for there shopping trip tomorrow and they all piled up on his bed to sleep all having great dreams.
