“You like that?” Megan whispered to her Charmander as she fed him his special pokemon food Megan created just for him.
“Char!” Charmander nodded and bit into another piece she held out to him.
“Megan how did you know what Charmander wanted to eat?” Alex asked her as he put up his small tent next to her.
“Easy,” Megan smiled as she fed Charmander another bite. “Charmander is a fire type and thus has certain tastes that correlate with a fire type, add in some necessary berries for health and nutrients and you have a well-balanced diet for a young fire type.” Megan boasted and kissed Charmander’s cheek making the small fire pokemon blush.
Aiden smiled at Megan, secretly impressed with her knowledge and compassion. Aiden watched from a distance how Megan cared for Charmander, as he in turn cared for his Squirtle. At the moment he was shining Squirtle’s shell, making the small turtle pokemon exceedingly happy. Not that he would ever tell Megan this, but he liked her a lot. It was the biggest reason why he spoke mainly to her but the other reason was that she was just so easy to talk to.
“Megan…” Aiden called softly, causing her to look in his direction. He held up his pokeball in a silent question for battle.
Understanding immediately she nodded. “After we get everything set up for the night.”
That was another reason that Aiden liked her so much. She understood everything he said and did with great ease.
Megan finished feeding Charmander and then she started setting up her small tent, only large enough for two.
“Char,” Charmander murmured and grabbed part of the tent, helping to put it up.
“Thanks Charmander!” Megan exclaimed and with his help the tent easily was put up and when they were done she turned to see Squirtle and Aiden put up their tent as well.
“After we make the fire we will battle okay?” Megan assured Aiden, who then nodded in response.
Megan set up a small circle of sticks and braches in the center of the small clearing they currently were occupying.
“Charmander can you use ember for me?” Megan asked him and he blew a spark of fire onto the braches, setting them ablaze. “Thank you.”
Megan could feel Aiden’s gaze and she looked up to see him watching her. Those eyes that drive her crazy caused her to blush and look down.
Aiden continued to study her. From her curly long waist length light brown hair, to her light blue eyes, lighter than his own, to her graceful long neck, down her impressive chest, slim waist, wide hips and soft thighs, to her tiny feet daintily polished with red. She was femininity in carnet. Inside and out she was perfect to Aiden, and having the opportunity to go on her journey with her made Aiden extremely happy.
“Battle time,” Megan psyched up Charmander and Alex chimed in with an equally excited Bulbasaur.
“Hey! I want to battle!” Alex frowned.
“Well…” Megan looked to Aiden for help who merely shrugged. “How about we do a tournament kinda thing?” Megan suggested after mulling it over for a moment. “So all of our pokemon get some experience. Aiden, you and Alex battle first and whoever wins can battle me.” Megan smiled up at both of them, and they seemed pleased with the idea.
The small group walked until they found a small clearing next to a small river.
“This should be good.” Megan decided and watched as Aiden and Alex took their places.
“Go Bulbasaur!” Alex called and Bulbasaur ran into place and took an offensive stance.
“Squirtle.” Aiden murmured and Squirtle positioned himself in front of Aiden.
“Go!” Megan called and then sat back to enjoy the show.
“Bulbasaur we have the type advantage so make this quick. Use Tackle!” Listening to Alex, Bulbasaur charged forward intending to slam into Squirtle.
“Dodge and use Tackle as well.” Aiden commented leisurely. By his tone of voice you would guess he is calm cool and collected but one look from Megan and she could see in his rigid back, set jaw, and fisted hands that he was in fact being quite active and serious.
Squirtle jumped above Bulbasaur and swooped down and tackled him, knocking their heads together.
Bulbasaur shook his head from the impact trying to right himself, and Squirtle rubbed his sore head, making Megan smile.
“This time let’s use a grass type move! Use leech seed!” Bulbasaur bulb shot out a seed that headed straight towards Squirtle.
“Go inside your shell.” Aiden instructed and Squirtle did but the leech seed latched onto the back of his shell and wrapped around it, sucking his life away. “Oh no. We have to finish this Squirtle. Tackle again!”
Squirtle ran forward and Tackled into Bulbasaur knocking him back.
“Tackle again!” Aiden called and Squirtle tackled Bulbasaur again, not giving him an inch.
Bulbasaur fell back and didn’t get back up.
“Bulbasaur is unable to battle. Aiden and Squirtle win!” Megan called and ran forward with some Oran berries she had picked on the way there.
“Here you go sweetie,” Megan said and kneeled in front of the hurt Bulbasaur. She gave him four big Oran berries and he was good as new.
“Bulba!” Bulbasaur said his thanks and used one of his vines to wrap around Megan’s waist in a hug, making her giggle.
“You’re welcome.” Megan stood and walked over to Squirtle, who was trying to act tough even though the leech seed was still hurting him. “Now for you honey.” Squirtle blushed and allowed Megan to work on him. She clipped off the seed and pulled off the vines. “Now to heal you.” Megan fed him four Oran berries as well and he was fighting fit once again.
“Squirtle squirt.” Squirtle murmured, blushing and looking away.
“You’re welcome. Are you able to battle me and Charmander now?” Megan whispered to Squirtle, who looked up at her quickly and nodded, puffing out his chest like the little tough guy he was.
“Yay I’m glad.” Megan giggled and went to her place, facing Aiden and Squirtle.
“Okay this will be a one on one battle between Megan and Aiden,” Alex announced, sounding outrageously serious and making Megan laugh and Aiden smile slightly.
“Begin!”
“Go Charmander!” Megan called out and Charmander ran to his position several feet in front of Megan.
“Go Squirtle,” Aiden softly called and Squirtle ran to his position equidistant to Charmander’s position. “I am at an advantage now,” Aiden said softly, loud enough for only Megan to hear.
“Typing isn’t everything Aiden.” Megan called back teasingly and Charmander agreed with her punching the air in front of him.
Aiden smiled, his heart beginning to quicken. “Ladies, first.”
“Charmander use ember!” Megan called out and Charmander opened his mouth and released a stream of fire aiming directly for Squirtle.
“Squirtle counter with water gun,” Aiden murmured, his eyes narrowing, not understanding why Megan would use a fire type move against his water type.
“Yes,” Megan fist pumped. “I knew you would do that.”
When the two moves collided steam rose and covered the battlefield in mist.
“Charmander you have your tail as a light. Concentrate and use scratch on Squirtle!” Megan called and Aiden grunted in shock, unable to come up with what to do now.
“Squirt!” You could hear Squirtle’s cry and Aiden made a fist in agitation.
“Scratch again!” Megan yelled and once again you heard Squirtle in pain.
Megan noticed the mist begin to disappear and she called Charmander back to his starting position for safety.
Squirtle could barely stand and was breathing heavily.
“Squirtle?” Aiden whispered his silent question and Squirtle nodded standing up with renewed zest. “Water gun.”
“Charmander dodge!” But it was too late, the stream of water was a direct hit and sent Charmander flying and crying out in pain.
“Char!” Charmander whimpered and struggled to stand.
“Oh Charmander I know you’re hurt but you can do it I believe in you!” Megan encouraged and Charmander ran towards Squirtle in determination throwing scratch attack after scratch attack.
“Tackle,” Aiden whispered and Squirtle went to knock into Charmander, surely ending the battle.
“Jump up Charmander and use ember on Squirtle’s head!” Megan commanded and Charmander followed her order to a T.
Charmander jumped back high in the air and when Squirtle looked up in shock at the sudden moment Charmander released a strong ember, burning Squirtle’s face.
Squirtle fell to the ground and did not move.
“Squirtle is unable to battle. This match goes to Megan and Charmander!” Alex announced, breathing slightly heavy from the exhilaration of watching the two battle.
“Charmander we did it!” Megan cried out in happiness and ran forward, catching her partner in her arms.
“Char Charmander!” He exclaimed and hugged Megan back.
Aiden called Squirtle into his pokeball for a rest and walked to Megan where he promptly patted her head when she looked up at him questioningly.
Megan’s face blazed in embarrassment and even Aiden blushed slightly but he started to walk to his tent to hide it.
“Wait Aiden,” Megan called and ran to him holding out several Oran berries in her hand. “Give them to Squirtle and he will recover most of his strength.”
Aiden smiled his thanks and nodded before disappearing into his tent.
From all of the excitement Alex was ready to call it a night as well and he went inside his own tent.
Megan sat around the fire with Charmander, feeding him some of his pokemon food as a snack.
“You were amazing Charmander,” Megan whispered.
Charmander looked embarrassed and started eating his pokemon food faster.
“Slow down or you will get a tummy ache.” Megan giggled and patted his head.
“I think we were really working as a team,” Megan whispered, several minutes later after Charmander finished his snack.
“Char,” Charmander nodded in agreement and sat back to look up at the stars just as Megan was doing.
“I hope we continue to get stronger and work harder as a team each day.” Megan softly vowed, holding her hand out to Charmander, who quickly took her hand.
Unbeknownst to Megan and her Charmander they were being watched from a distance behind a tree just outside their camp. A small brown pokemon, needing to keep tabs on her savior.
*****
“Morning you guys!” Megan chirped as Aiden and Alex both left their tents at 8 AM sharp.
“Morning,” Alex grumbled and sat down on a large rock, yawning sleepily.
Aiden smiled in greeting and sat next to Megan on the ground.
“I made breakfast!” Megan announced and opened up a large pan over the fire to reveal the sizzling stir fry. “I found some vegetables growing by the river and mixed a couple together. And I heated some of the water to make tea.”
Aiden and Alex stared at the food hungrily and dug in leaving Megan to smile as she watched over them. As the boys ate Megan got together the Pokémon’s breakfast and called them out of the tents as well.
“Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur! Breakfast!” Megan called and all three came stumbling from their trainer’s tents in excitement. They dug in just as greedily as the boys did.
Megan picked up the big red apple she picked from a tree this morning and began to munch on it as her breakfast as well.
Several minutes passed and everyone was done. The boys and the pokemon had their bellies full and were laying back in food coma bliss.
“Megan you are the best,” Alex moaned as he rubbed his full stomach.
Aiden nodded and smiled in agreement, as did the pokemon.
“I’m glad you liked it. Here,” Megan said to Aiden and Alex.
They looked up to see Megan holding two large bags of pokemon food, one for each of them.
“I had some spare time after I cooked this morning to create some special food for Squirtle and Bulbasaur. I used berries that would suit their type’s taste and also very healthy berries for their daily nutrients.”
“Wow Megan you didn’t have to do that!” Alex grinned and took the bag happily.
“Thank you,” Aiden said and put the food into his backpack.
The group spent several minutes after that to discuss their travel plans for the day before packing up their gear.
“Okay,” Megan said first pulling out her map and pointing to their location. “We walked this far in 8 hours, if we keep walking alone this path we should reach Viridian City by lunch time.”
Aiden and Alex nodded and they all packed up their gear with the assistance of their pokemon.
After a straight hour of walking suddenly Alex asked, “What is that pokemon?”
Megan and Aiden looked to see a tiny yellow mouse like pokemon eating berries while sitting on a rock.
“Oh my gosh it is so cute!” Megan gushed and Aiden nodded his agreement, smiling at Megan’s excitement.
“I want to catch it!” Megan and Alex said the same thing at the same time.
“What no way!” Alex said and pulled out a pokeball. “I saw it first!”
Aiden glared at Alex over Megan’s head so she couldn’t see. Alex locked his jaw but forced a smile.
“Fine, ladies first. But if you mess up I’m gonna catch it!” Alex grumbled and stood next to Aiden who smiled encouragingly to Megan, ignoring Alex.
“Okay, here goes!” Megan psyched herself and pulled out her pokeball. “Go Charmander!” She called and Charmander came out in a beam of red light.
“Char Char!” Charmander readied himself, staring intently at the pokemon.
“Megan,” Aiden said and when she looked at him he held up a hand signaling her to wait.
Aiden pulled out his Pokedex and pointed it to the pokemon.
Dexter’s voice broke the silence. “Pichu, the tiny mouse pokemon. An electric type with the ability static. It is not yet skilled at storing electricity. It may send out a jolt if amused or startled. This Level 13 Pichu is male with the move set Charm, Thunder Shock, Sweet Kiss, and Thunder Wave.”
Megan frowned in worry. “Charmander this pokemon is a higher level than you right now. Can you do it?”
“Char!” Charmander nodded quickly and faced the Pichu.
“Pi?” Pichu looked up curiously and upon spotting them got frightened and fell down the rock onto his face.
“Oh no are you okay?” Megan asked in concern and Pichu got up, ignoring Megan’s question.
“Pichu!” Pichu shouted and gave a thunder shock that Charmander expertly dodged.
“Good job Charmander, give him your strongest ember!” Charmander took a deep break and released a long trail of fire that engulfed Pichu, making him cry out. “You’re mine Pichu!” Megan called and threw an empty pokeball. The ball bounced off of Pichu’s head where he lay on the ground and engulfed him in red light. The ball fell to the ground and began to shake.
Megan, waited with bated breath, her heart pounding. Aiden and Alex stood by, equally nervous.
The ball ticked to a stop and stayed closed!
“Yes! Oh my gosh! I caught my first pokemon all by myself!!” Megan jumped up and down in excitement.
Aide smiled and walked forward, retrieving Megan’s ball for her and handing it to her.
“Thank you,” she blushed and threw it in the air. “Come out Pichu!”
Pichu came out of the ball in the air and dropped into Megan’s awaiting arms.
“Pi?” Pichu looked up at Megan and upon seeing her smile he blushed.
“Hi sweetie.” Megan greeted and kisses his fluffy yellow forehead. “You are my new pokemon. Meet Charmander he was my first pokemon.”
Megan held Pichu out to Charmander who waved and smiled, making Pichu blush and tiny sparks to fly from his cheeks in uncontrolled embarrassment.
“Well shall we?” Alex asked as Megan put Pichu on her head and called Charmander back into his pokeball.
“Of course.” Megan said, on cloud nine from happiness.
They walked farther along and could finally see the town of Viridian City below them.
“Finally,” Alex sighed and stretched.
“You’re out of shape,” Megan giggled from her joke and Aiden chuckled as well.
“Am not…” Alex grumbled and kept walking forward.
“Gey!” They heard a bird and looked up just in time to see a tiny brown and tan bird swoop down to nearly attack Pichu.
“Pichu!” Megan called and bent down holding Pichu to her head. “What was that for?” Megan called angrily, soothing the crying Pichu.
Dexter’s voice rang out of Alex’s Pokedex. “Pidgey, the tiny bird pokemon. A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand. This level 9 Pidgey is a male with the move set Tackle, Sand Attack, and Gust.”
“I don’t want that,” Alex grumbled. “The Pokedex said it’s common.”
Megan rolled her eyes and huffed before turning back to her sniffling Pichu. “You are such a jerk Alexander.”
Aiden stepped forward and threw Squirtle’s pokeball. Squirtle came out and sprayed water gun, effectively hitting Pidgey down to the ground.
“Tackle.” Aiden said holding an empty ball, ready to catch the tiny bird.
Squirtle ran forward while Pidgey was still on the ground and knocked into it, sending it skidding across the grass.
Aiden silently threw the pokeball, smiling when the ball stopped shaking.
“Aiden that’s so great! You caught your second pokemon!” Megan jumped up and down, putting the now calm Pichu back on her head.
Aiden smiled and threw up Pidgey’s pokeball. He came out and perched on Aiden’s shoulder.
“Hi cutie,” Megan whispered and scratched under Pidgey’s beak, making him crow in happiness.
Aiden blushed while watching the exchange.
“Okay okay the excitement is over. Let’s go, I’m hungry again.” Alex broke the conversation and they started walking towards Viridian City.
As soon as they entered the city they found the Pokemon Center to heal their pokemon.
A large building with a red roof stood out against the buildings around it.
“This is it.” Megan nodded and they walked through the sliding doors.
Several trainers and their pokemon were sitting and playing around throughout the space.
There was a large brown desk with computers at the far end of the room. With a short pink haired lady in a nurse outfit standing next to a large pink Pokemon.
Aiden pulled out his Pokedex to see that the Pokémon’s name was Chansey.
“Hello children.” The pink haired ladies melodious voice welcomed them and they all smiled at her. “I am Nurse Joy if you ever need anything, pokemon related or otherwise don’t be shy about asking!” She smiled and upon noticing Megan’s Pichu her eyes widened. “What a cute Pichu!”
Pichu blushed and hid inside Megan’s hair, making Megan giggle. “Thank you Nurse Joy!”
“They are fairly rare around this area. Where did you find him?” Joy asked in curiosity as she took in all our Pokemon for care.
“Actually we found him only a few miles out of town,” Megan answered, handing Pichu over for care.
After several more minutes of conversation with Nurse Joy the group left her to her work with the promise that their pokemon would be done their care in a little over an hour.
“What should we do now?” Megan asked the boys looking up at them questioningly.
“Food,” Alex demanded, holding his empty stomach.
Megan, Alex, and Aiden found a small restaurant near the Pokemon center and sat down to eat.
After a filling meal and some pleasant conversation the group quickly got back to the Pokemon Center to find Nurse Joy just about to call them to get their pokemon.
“They all made a full recovery.” Nurse Joy smiled and wheeled out two carts with the assistance of Chansey.
On the one cart sat my Pichu, Charmander, and Alex’s Bulbasaur. And on the other Cart was Aiden’s Squirtle and Pidgey.
“Hi everyone!” Megan greeted and picked up her pokemon, coddling Charmander on her hip and allowing Pichu to climb on her head.
Aiden and Alex called their pokemon to them.
“I have an idea.” Alex said, smiling when Megan and Aiden turned to look at him. “Let’s part ways right now. And meet back in Cerulean City. Then we can all battle and see who got stronger in that amount of time.”
Aiden looked at Megan, waiting for her to reply first. If she wanted to, he would, but if she didn’t want to go by herself he would stay with her in a heartbeat.
Megan smiled and nodded. “Sure why not. I’m gonna win though!” She giggled and stuck out her tongue. Aiden chuckled at her and nodded at Alex for his answer.
With that decided Aiden and Alex left the pokemon center but Megan stayed behind to call her mother.
“Hello?” Her mother’s smiling face popped up on the screen of the Pokemon Center telephone.
“Hi Mom!” Megan grinned and waved happily.
“Megan honey it’s so good to see you!” Her mother dropped whatever she was doing and clutched the phone tightly. “How is everything going? Are you eating right? Have you changed your underwear?”
“Mom!” Megan blushed and looked around embarrassed, clutching the phone so no one could hear. “Everything is fine stop worrying! I am a big girl!”
“I know honey but I can’t help but worry!”
“Anyway…” Megan rolled her eyes and couldn’t help but change the subject. “Would you like to see my pokemon?” At her mother’s enthusiastic nod Megan lifted Charmander and Pichu into the camera view.
“Oh my goodness they are so cute!” Her mother gushed. “I see you chose Charmander. But who is that little yellow baby doll?”
“This is Pichu. He is an electric type.”
“Pichu Pi!” Pichu said and waved cutely.
“I’m glad I got to call you Mom but I have to get moving okay?” Megan said, a small frown marring her face.
“Okay honey. Call me whenever you get the chance. I love you!”
“I love you too…” Megan smiled and turned off the screen.
“Oh my god look an Eevee!” Megan heard someone call and then the Pokemon Center was abuzz with chatter.
“Let’s catch it!” She heard someone else yell.
Megan quickly ran forward and pushed her way through the group that surrounded the pokemon. Eevee was shaking and looking at everyone in panic.
To Megan’s surprise it was the same Eevee from the lab back in Pallet Town.
“Oh my goodness Eevee what are you doing here?” She asked in worry and walked forward holding the small fluffy brown pokemon.
“Is that yours?” She heard several people yell.
“No. She belongs to a scientist I know. So back off.” Megan glared at the vultures scaring the sweet pokemon.
They scattered, disappointed they couldn’t catch Eevee.
“Eevee Eev,” Eevee muttered her thanks and licked Megan’s cheek.
“Sweetheart what are you doing here? I have to call the professor. He is probably worried sick.” Eevee shook her head worriedly.
“Eev Eev Eevee.” She said and patted Megan on the chest with her paw.
“You wanted to come with me?” Megan asked slowly in surprise.
Eevee nodded with a smile and licked Megan on the cheek again, making her smile.
“Okay but I still have to call Professor Oak.” Megan said and walked back over to the phone.
“Yes?” Professor Oak answered, surprised to see Megan. “Oh hello Megan. This is unexpected. Is everything okay?”
“Never better Professor. But I was wondering if anything was wrong back there?” Megan asked, smiling.
“Well the Eevee you met yesterday seems to have run away. I’m very worried. I have half of my staff out looking for her.”
“Well look no further.” Megan murmured and held up the smiling Eevee.
“Eevee!” The professor cried out in shock. “Were you following Megan all this time?” His voice was not scolding, just incredulous.
“Apparently,” Megan said and started petting Eevee’s head. “I wish I would have noticed sooner. I’m sure she is hungry.”
“Megan would you like to keep Eevee?” Professor Oak asked, watching the two closely.
“Are you sure I can keep her?” Megan smiled in happiness and hugged Eevee tight.
“Yes. I think Eevee will be much happier with you than here. I will send her pokeball over okay? Bye!” Professor Oak signed off and a moment later Eevee’s pokeball appeared in the teleport device.
“Woohoo! You’re mine Eevee!” Megan celebrated and called her into her pokeball. Megan then called back Charmander and Pichu as well.
“Megan?” She heard her name called and looked to see Nurse Joy approaching.
“Yes Nurse Joy?” Megan asked, greeting her with a smile.
“I was wondering where you planned on going next? Ahead of here is the Viridian Forest that leads to Pewter City. There is a gym there that you can challenge.”
“A gym?” Megan looked up at Nurse Joy confused.
“Well some trainers challenge Gym’s throughout their journey. When you have 8 gym badges you can compete in the Kanto Pokemon League. And maybe even become the pokemon champion.” Nurse Joy gave a detailed explanation of what challenging gym’s entail, how to do it, where to go, etc.
“Thank you for everything Nurse Joy,” Megan smiled and bowed her head in thanks. “I think I will do as you suggested. Pewter City being first!”
“Pewter City’s gym leader is Brock, a master at training Rock types. So your Charmander and Pichu won’t be of much use.” Nurse Joy looked apologetic at that tidbit of information.
“Typing isn’t everything,” Megan whispered, gently touching each of the three balls clipped to her belt.
With a final goodbye to the nurse, Megan left the Pokemon center only to come to a stop in front of a slightly smaller building with a blue roof.
“Pokemart…” Megan read the sign and decided to go in.
“Welcome,” Megan heard and looked up to see a tall attractive boy in an apron in front of her. His shaggy brown hair made him look playful and his brown eyes reminded her of a puppy. He smiled at Megan and looked her up and down, making her blush.
“Can I help you?” He asked, his voice slightly husky.
“Um well I’ve never been to a Pokemart before…” Megan whispered looking around.
“Ah. So you’re a new trainer?” He chuckled and led her to one of the few isles they had. “Well let me show you a few essentials you will need when training your pokemon.”
Megan allowed him to lead her and looked up to find several different colored bottles on the shelf in front of her.
“These are potions, and their colors indicate their uses. Yellow for paralysis, red heals burns, purple for poison, blue for confusion, grey for sleeping pokemon and this clear one heals your Pokémon’s energy and health.”
“They sound amazing!” Megan exclaimed, accepting a basket the young boy held out to her. She grabbed one of each color, and 5 of the clear ones.
“Anything else I might need?” Megan asked, looking up at the boy.
“My number,” the boy grinned, looking down at Megan expectantly.
“Oh!” Megan gasped softly and blushed a bright red, looking down in embarrassment.
The boy chuckled and put a few pokeballs in Megan’s basket, as well as several Oran berries.
“That should be all,” the boy whispered before leading Megan to the register. “Normally all this would cost you 2,500 pokemon dollars but because you are so beautiful I think I can give it to you for half price!” The boy leaned in close and winked.
Megan blushed and pulled out her wallet from her back. “Thank you,” Megan quickly pulled out the 1,250 pokemon dollars and gave it to the boy.
“You don’t have to thank me. Just come visit the next time you come to town. Just ask for Jason.” The boy named Jason winked again and waved.
Megan quickly left the store feeling embarrassed and slightly uncomfortable. She only had feelings for Aiden, for some reason the boy just couldn’t hold a candle to her silent best friend. Aiden may not speak as much or be as confident as that boy but actions speak louder than words and Aiden was always there for Megan. And that meant the most.
Thinking about Aiden made Megan’s mind wander from the task at hand. As she passed people and buildings on the street Megan ignored them and thought about Aiden. They had just split up yet Megan missed him already, even Alex just a little.
Megan continued her affectionate thoughts about Aiden and eventually found her way to the entrance of the Viridian Forest.
Finally, Megan thought, looking at the beautiful tree lined path. Megan walked forward slowly, determined to do her best and show both Aiden and Alex that she didn’t need them to make her strong.
