One Year Later...
Hellsing Orginization Headquarters London, England
"For the next eight days they kept me locked in the deepest depths of the Hellsing dungeon while I underwent my transformation into a werewolf." I breathed deeply as the young blonde seated in front of me removed her gloves to feel the eternal bite wound on my forearm, her pale skin in contrast with my own mocha colored flesh. "After my transformation was complete I was told that I'd be working for the Hellsing Orginization in their...mission from god." I smirked as I placed my hand on the Hellsing coat of arms proudly emblazened on my leather jackets left shoulder. "Speaking of missions Seras, how was your mission in Ireland?"
The young woman that sat across from me was Seras Victoria, the newest addition to the Hellsing family. A few days ago, she was a police officer being dispatched to investigate a disturbance in Cheddar Village. That disturbance however turned out to be a recently turned vampire whom with the help of a myriad of ghouls managed to slaughter everyone except for Seras. Her salvation from this came in the form of her death by the hand of her now master, Alucard whom transformed her into a Draculina, a creature of the night.
Seras' soft azure eyes stared down at the hardwood floor as she let out a soft sigh. "We...master and I were attacked by a priest named Alexander Anderson." I could feel my teeth gritting together as his name rolled off her tongue. "Ahh, Saint Guillotine...first we have all these random vampire attacks all over the country and now the Iscariots decide to pay us a visit." Seras stood from her seat and adjusted her combat skirt and jacket before taking a casual glance back to the blood transfusion packs nestled in a sterling silved bowl filled with ice that seat neatly on the end table next to my bed. "Not to sound like Alucard but you should really get into the habit of consuming blood." She quickly spun her head around to glare at me, her fists clenched tightly with her mouth slightly agape as if getting ready to deliver a tirade.
We glared daggers at one another before she finally shut her mouth and sighed, taking her seat once more. "Why do you care if I drink blood Andrei?" She inquired. "Because I can empathize with you." I replied "And it would be a shame if a woman as beautiful as you were to die because of her refusal to drink blood." Her pale skin made it all too easy to see the noticeable blush quickly kreeping across her face, her eyes wide at my statement. The levity of this situation wasn't lost on me as I chuckled and smiled at the sight. "You think that's funny!?" Seras shouted at me, her reddened cheeks eliciting a chuckle from myself. "You're damn right I think it's funny Seras." I replied with a smile before Seras adopted an upsetting pout. "Oh don't be so sensitive Seras, it's just a bit of light hearted fun." I comforted as I placed my hand upon her shoulder.
She let out a small sigh and stood from her chair as she threw a spirited punch to my shoulder with a smile as equally enthused. "That's the spirit now let's get going, I'd like to speak with Walter beofre the round table confrence begins." I uttered as I made my way to the door of my quarters, Seras following closely at my side. We exited the room into stone hallways of the manors basement, it's dull and drab corridors a clear contrast to the quaint and charming manor proper. "What is it that you needed to speak with Walter about Andrei?" Seras asked as the two of us made it up the stairs to the foryer of the manor. "He said he had something to give to me." I replied swiftly as we reached Integra's office, knocking on the hardwood door.
The door opened with an audible creak as a man adorned in slat grey dress slacks, white dress shirt, and purple vest with matching tie came into my vision...this man was Walter C. Dornez. "Evening Mr. Strauss, Ms. Victoria." Walter kindly greeted, a smile on his lips. Walter was the butler to the Hellsing family and served as sort of an arms master when the moment presented itself. Back during the second world war however, he was quite the spitfire. I remember Alucard telling me that he was called The Angel of Death due to the high body count he racked up in his youth. But now, he was the poster child as a perfect butler.
"Ah Walter, just the man I wanted to see." I greeted with a smile. "Likewise Mr. Struass, please follow me." Walter said as he stepped out of Integra's office and headed back through the foyer with myself and Seras following behind. We once again found ourselves heading down into the gloomily dull corridors of the manors basement. We walked a bit further down the main corridor, past my quarters and arrived at Seras' door and stepped inside the room. The room was sparsely furnished, only sporting a main table accompanied by two chairs and an end table with a bowl of sterling silver that craddled a mixture of blood packs and ice.
The only thing the room was missing was a bed which was replaced by a sleek, dark coffin in the center of the room. At first I thought this was normal considering that Seras was a vampire but, her surprise and confusion was reason enough to persuade me otherwise. "Walter...What the hell is this thing!?" Water simply turned to Seras with a deadpan look upon his face. "That thing you are refering to Ms. Victoria is a coffin." Walter said dryly. "I know...why is there a coffin in my bedroom?" Seras uttered as she glared daggers at the veteran butler. "I was ordered by Sir Integra to put it here." Walter replied. "What have you done with my bed?" Seras asked with a scowl on her face, propmting Walter to take a few steps back before he spoke again. "I had it disposed of Ms. Victoria."
Seras screamed Walters name to the heavens as she visibly gritted her teeth together. "I'm sorry Ms. Victoria but, if it helps the orders were also confirmed by Alucard as well." Walter uttered. Seras calmed herself as her masters name left the butlers lips. "You're an idiot" A familiar voice rang out from the doorway, prompting us to look in it's direction. "Speak of the devil..." I uttered as a man clad in crimson strolled into the room.
This man was Alucard, my savior and Seras' master. I don't know much about him other than the fact that he's probably the oldest and without a doubt the most powerful vampire to ever walk the earth.
"You chose the night, once you've turned your back on the light of day...all the sun should ever mean to you is smoldering pain and a slow death." Alucard said with his usual hypnotic voice and sardonic grin. "Good evening Alucard." Walter greeted as he walked over to the nearby table, a cedar box resting on it's surface. Alucard walked beside Walter and opened the box. "Ohhh, what is this?" Alucard inquired with amusment in his voice as he lifted a hand cannon from the cases confines. "The Jackal, a 13 mm anti-freak combat pistol." Walter informed with a smile on his old face. As Alucard examined his new toy with what I assumed to be admiration, Walter continued to list off the weapons specifications. "It's perfection Walter!" Alucard exclaimed as he looked in the butlers direction just in time to see him bow. "I'm pleased that your pleased sir." Walter modestly uttered. "I bet this beauty could even stop Father Anderson dead in his tracks." Seras quickly swarmed around her master in complete admiration of his new firearm, dance about his vicinity to get a better look at it from differrent angles.
"Ms. Victoria, I belive I have something special for you." Walter exclaimed, catching Seras' attention as he hauled in what appeared to be a literal cannon. It's design also caught my eye. "The Harkonenn a 30 mm anti-freak cannon, it's designed to be fired with either depleted uranium, or explosive incendiary shells that will destroy all but the most heavily armored targets." Walter exposited as he held up the cannon at his side. Seras stared in slack jawed bewilderment before screaming once more. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" I scoffed as I leaned against the nearby wall with my arms folded neatly across my chest. "I'm pretty sure he said that thing is a 30 mm cannon Seras." I replied, earning me a scowl from the young blonde. "Oh I almost forgot your new weapons Mr. Strauss." Walter uttered as he handed me a pair of black leather gloves with armored metal on each finger and over every knuckle. "Caestus?" I asked as I slipped off my old gloves and put the new ones on.
"Macedonian silver caestus Mr. Strauss, good against ghouls, vampires,...and werewolves." Walter answered with a smile. The gloves felt surprisingly comfortable and broken in despite the fact that I was the first to wield them, these simple facts spoke volumes about Walters skill as an arms master. "Primitive. but effective...I like your thinking Walter." I complimented with a smiled. "Thank you sir, now if you'll excuse me I must..." Before Walter could finish his sentence, the lights in the room flickered for a moment. "What the hell?" I uttered before a voice could be heard over the intercom....
