Memories

Author's note: Sorry about the short chapters. I'm trying to find my footing with thi being my first fic. They will get longer later on.

Kyoya roamed up and the halls of one of the hospitals his father owned. Absent-mindedly, he did not pay attention to the girl coming in the opposite direction and collided with her. He was mortified as the girl fell down. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” The girl smiled as she stood up and brushed her hospital gown off. “Is something wrong?”

Kyoya blinked and thought. “I guess I’m worried about my high school entrance exams.” Kyoya was being very pressured to do well. He had to be top, or he would disappoint his father and brothers.

Kyoya noticed the girl looking at his with big brown eyes. Her face was contorted into only what could be described as curiosity. “So you’re about to go into high school?”

“Yes.”

“I will be too.” She smiled with the most genuine enthusiasm. “Maybe we could study together from our exams? I get released later today.”

Kyoya smiled wholeheartedly. “Okay. What’s your name?”

“Shiyami Takumi.”

“Ootori Kyoya. Where would you like to study?”

“There’s a coffee house down the street. Is that okay?”

Kyoya smiled at her. He was mystified at her boisterous personality and amicability. “Of course. What time would you like to meet?”

Takumi bowed her head as if she was thinking. “Five?”

“Sounds good.” Kyoya put his hand out, and Takumi shook it vigorously. Kyoya felt his face split into a smile as the girl rushed back to her room.

Kyoya heard a final shout. “Bye Kyoya-chan! See you later.”
