Chapter 1:
1650 AD: Wars began, wars ended, but mostly old ones continued throughout Europe, Africa & Asia. People were born and died. Living was hard, but life went on.
There was one event that year that was noted by every nation and peoples of the world. Most of the world came to call it ‘The Curse of Pink Dust’. In a matter of weeks, it seemed to be everywhere and in everything. It really wasn’t much of a curse. It was more of a global annoyance, one more among many. Crops, those not already burned by war, seemed to be mostly unaffected and food and water contamination was neither any better or any worse for a mild pink tint.
The pink dust was eventually blown away by winds, washed away by rain and within a year, entirely forgotten.
1800 AD: The dust returned during a period of high solar activity. Sunspots and solar flares.
Wars continued, people starved, were killed, but before they died they were entranced by a spectacular lightshow, visible even in the day time. Pink sparks filled the skies day and night. Little pinpoints of pink light danced in the atmosphere. It seemed to come in waves, rising and falling in the sky.
It must have been wonderful to the dying peasant, serf or slave for their last sight on this earth to be the welcoming pink glow of heaven, or so said a well known Chinese philospher... who later had his eyes gouged out, ears curt off and tongue burned off for blasphemous writings, “Writing about peasants‘ enjoyment, indeed!“ the Emperor said, passing sentence.
In Eastern Europe, soldiers pausing in battle to look up at the “Holy Rose Grace Of Mother Mary” could be beaten by any officer for dereliction of duty. Such wonders were not for them, they had wars to fight!
Scientists noted the close return of a comet previously unidentified. A worldwide dispute between astronomers broke out over who the actual discoverer was and had the right to name the celestial visitor after himself or herself. The honor eventually went to Toshiro Katsuragi who modestly named the comet ‘The Pink Cherry Blossom Of Light’.
Within two years Katsuragi was stoned to death by an angry mob while attending a scientific conference in Kiev.
In general, the bright pink glow was blamed for starting wars, ending wars and allowing wars to continue. People still died in terrible ways. Life went on.
1801 AD was notable for the coming of a worldwide panic and disaster. Two out of every hundred children born in that year were Futas. Full genetic Futanari.
Futa/Futanari: literally: “of a dual form”; “of two of both kinds", “(a form of) hermaphroditism”. Futas (common noun). Those born in the last century and a half who, overall, have male genitalia though an overall female body and appearance (although a vagina and/or testicle are not always present). A smaller percentage of Futanari take on the appearance of males.
The reaction to these births was varied. In Asia, much of Europe and the Americas, these newborns were destroyed on sight, even (or especially) in areas where “Right to Life” was considered the moral imperative.
Some societies celebrated the newborn as harbingers of a new golden age.
Some societies just considered them as a new minority and treated them as they did any new group of ‘foreign invaders’… they oppressed them. Even if they were their own children or grandchildren.
Most Futanai went unnoticed. Externally their appearance was no different than any other female (or male) of the era. Marriage between Futa and Norms was often illegal. If not, it was an immediate justification for marriage annulment. Horrific medical castration practices were often practiced. Still… by 1850 AD it was estimated that nearly 4% of the world population were female Futa, 1% male Futa. Mostly in secret, living in fear or denial.
1950 AD: The comet returned during another period of high solar activity.
Certain characteristics became stereotypical of the new minority born in the second half of the 20th century (assuming they hadn’t already been killed by government or religious edict). Futas tended to be taller, stronger, smarter and more aggressive than ‘Norms’. Of course, this didn’t apply to every Futa female or male, but in general it seemed to be the accepted case.
Futas were banned from the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. In protest, the WAFA (World Alliance of Futanari Athletes) began their own games in San Francisco in 1973. Within a decade, the (non-Futa) Olympic Games agreed to let Futa athletes compete, if they accepted handicaps. “Fuck That” became WAFA’s unofficial response. The traditional Olympic Games went largely unattended after WAFA began accepting Norm athletes as well. The 1993 Joint Games in Kyoto was the largest attended game in history, one of few profitable ones. Nearly 10% of medal winners and world record holders were Norms.
Many people assumed that Norms were allowed to win some events. It was rarely said out loud. Futas’ tend to have quick tempers where sports were concerned. And a 7ft tall woman into weight lifting is not someone to be insulted lightly.
By 1999 AD 8% of the world’s population identified themselves as female-Futa. Proud, strong and free. 2% male Futa, mostly keeping their heads down, wanting to be left alone.
