Chapter 2
A Strange Lizard
Luna and Casper have been traveling for a few days on the southern route towards SunnyShore City since they left their Hometown of AcornWall. Luna was whistling a pop song tune as Casper danced while floating behind her.
"Yeah Casper, you've got some moves!" she chuckled as she watched the Togetic flip through the air.
Her smile broadened when she saw the edge of the forest come into view, "That trainer we passed by said that the city was just a mile away once we get out of the forest, let's hurry Casper!"
Her Togetic flapped its wings and hurried after her as they rushed towards the edge of the forest. The sun was still high in the sky as the two left the treeline and into an open grassy field. Farther in the view of the skyline, the two could see the city in clear view.
"Gosh, I don't know about you Casper, But I could really use a cold drink right about now. Maybe I shouldn't have run when it's this hot out..."
Casper sighed, clearly judging Luna.
"Oh look!" Luna pointed to a small-looking store down the road. "See, things work out pretty well for us!"
As they approached closer Luna could make out a sign in front that read "Stunky's and Chunky's".
"Ooh! Sounds like a fun little store!"
She hurried to the front of the store and went to open the front door but it was locked shut, "Noooo!" She shouted as she peeked inside the dirty windows to see a web-filled shop that was clearly abandoned. She leaned her back against the wall and stayed in the little shade that the overhead of the building provided when she heard the sound of broken glass.
Luna jolted upward a bit scared at the moment, "Casper was that you?"
However, Casper floated in front of her plainly and shook his side to side. Luna's eyebrows raised as she crept around towards the backside of the building. The sound of metal hitting metal were followed by the rumblings of paper. Luna grew more and more curious as she poked her head around the back of the building. Casper followed suit and poked his head out as well, the two saw a green dumpster sitting in the back of the building; it was partially overgrown with weeds on the outside of the dumpster. The sound of garbage moving around was clearly coming from the dumpster as Luna tiptoed towards it.
"H-Hello?" as soon as Luna spoke the sound came to an abrupt stop which slightly worried her. "He-" before she could finish a Pokemon jumped up onto the lip of the Dumpster facing her and Casper.
In front of them sat a Salandit with a goofy look on its face as it stared at them in complete silence. Luna looked at Casper confused but he was just as confused as she was and shrugged his shoulders. Flies flew around the skinny-looking Salandit as it stood staring blankly before, "Blehk!" It coughed up a can that was half-digested.
"What the hell?" Luna began to wonder what was wrong with the Pokemon before it suddenly jumped down from the dumpster and slithered towards her. Luna jumped back and Casper got into a defensive position in front of her. The Salandit stopped just in front of Casper, not making any sudden moves or sounds, still blankly staring straight forward as if he could see right through Casper entirely.
"H-hold on Casper." Luna moved forward slowly beside the Togetic and knelt down while she carefully pulled out a pack of granola bars that she had in her bag. The Salandit made the first movement it had in a bit as its bright red tongue slid out and quickly lapped its maw.
"H-Here you go little guy." Luna reached out slowly towards the Salandit with the granola in hand. The Salandit calmly picks up the granola from her hand and backs up a couple of feet.
Luna thinks to herself, "It's actually kind of cute!" But that thought is immediately ruined as the Salandit tears open the granola packaging with extreme ferocity as it shakes its head side to side like a rabid dog tearing into its prey. The pieces of granola that fall onto the ground aren't safe either as the Salandit slides around the ground with an open mouth acting like a scoop, picking up the remaining pieces. The salandit sits like a dog and licks the crumbs that might have been left around its face.
"Okay then..." Luna turned around making large steps and paced away from the weird Pokemon. Casper followed suit and floated closely behind her. It didn't take long for her to notice a separate set of footsteps following a few feet behind her. Casper flew to her and tapped her shoulder.
"It's following us?"
Casper nodded in response.
"Greeaat..." Luna marched onward in hopes that the Salandit would eventually grow bored and leave her alone.
An hour later, Luna had finally reached the outskirts of the city along with Casper and the Salandit in tow. Large crowds fill the city and Luna looks excitedly at all the people in swimwear.
"I can't wait to get in the ocean!" Luna spoke to Casper who chirped in response. Luna made her way into the nearby Pokemon center to get her Pokemon healed and to rest for a while. She walked up to the counter and a nurse with short blonde hair greeted her, "Hi, there sweety! How may I help you today?" the young woman had a soft and endearing tone.
Luna smiled, "Hello, we just came from AcornWall and I wanted to make sure that my Togetic was in healthy condition!"
"Not a problem, just put them in their Pokeball and We'll heave them back to you in no time!"
Luna kissed Casper on the forehead and returned him to his Pokeball before handing him over to the nurse. The nurse seemed to be waiting on Luna for something, "I'm sorry miss. Is that your Pokemon?" She pointed down past Luna's legs at the derpy-looking Salandit that sat there staring up at her.
Luna slapped her palm against her face, "...Yeah. I guess so." Luna knelt down and nonchalantly put the button of the Pokeball against the Salandit's head and captured it without issue. She smirked, feeling slightly accomplished that she had caught her second Pokemon before handing the Pokeball over to the nurse.
"Thank you very much. We will have your Pokemon back to you shortly! Additionally, we also have rooms available to rent nightly for trainers."
"That sounds perfect!" Luna smiled at the thought of a hot shower.
Luna waited in the lobby for her two Pokemon to be healed before taking them in their Pokeballs up to her room. Luna leaped onto the bed and spread her limbs outward enjoying the comfort of an actual bed.
"I didn't realize how much camping would hurt my back at night!" She grinned and quickly placed her Pokeballs on the nightstand to the side of the bed. Luna removed her jacket and shirt with ease, she shimmied her hips side to side as she removed her skirt. She blushed as she looked at herself in the mirror, her long light brown hair making its way halfway down her back. Her lightly tanned complexion complimented her figure. She examined herself as she removed her bra, a bit judgemental of her own bust.
"They're not that small but I wish they were bigger..." She pressed together with her C-cup breasts. "I feel like my nipples are a little on the big side though." she scrunched her lips together as she looked further down. The Salandit looked around, seeming lonely it snuck up beside Luna and curled up, and fell asleep beside her warm body.
