Ran went straight for him. Kaname's eyes widened, he had not expected this would happen when he came to get her. He decided on defence; he would avoid hurting her, just subdue her and then take her. He was sent flying backwards by Ran's fist, again not something he had expected today. She had grown so much stronger then he could have estimated being left alone with Rido. He had been sure that Rido would have hidden her away and thought him. It would have made more sense then to teach Ran to fight. He would have thought that Rido would keep her weak so that he could keep her without having to worry about her turning on him. May be he had been wrong all along about Ran and Rido. They seemed to act like equals not master and slave. His miscalculations had cost him. First, he had lost Juri and Haruka, two people who would do anything for him, give him everything he wanted no matter what. Second, Yuki, his back up. Right now, she seemed like the perfect choice.
"Fight me Kaname!" She screamed at him. "Fight me like you would fight anyone else." She hissed at him as he stood back up. She could stand the idea that he won't fight her, it was like he felt she was too weak.
"I won't." Kaname said as he dusted himself off. He won't hurt her, he needed a wife, a queen and a heir. Ran could give him all of those things if she just gave into him.
"Then I will kill you." Ran stated coolly. Rido watched in shock at how much she had changed. It was like she was a completely different person. He got a glimpse of her face, bright red eyes. Bloodlust. Bloodlust was controlling her now. Kaname stared at her in disbelief.
Kaname kept blocking all of Ran's attacks but he wasn't sure how much longer he could keep this up. The more he blocked, the more power that was put into each attack. He could tell that he was making her angrier and angrier. He could see the bloodlust and it scared him. He never thought he would be scared like this at any point in his life. He never thought she would hold so much power that she could destroy him. He needed to come up with a plan, a solution where he could walk away alive and ideally with Ran.
Rido finally steadied himself on his feet, he had to come up with a plan. He had to help Ran even though he knew she was handling it fine...for the moment. He could tell Kaname had forgotten all about him, a perfect chance to attack. He just needed to recover.
Suddenly, Kaname chose to fight back. Ran grunted as his fist connected with her stomach. She didn't have a chance to stop it or dodge. The two of them were now landing hits on each other. Ran tried her best to dodge each hit but Kaname was fast. He was using his speed over his strength. He was trying to weaken her enough that she got too tired to carry on. He wanted her to beg him to stop, to beg him to take her so it would all stop.
Rido growled at Kaname. They were moving so fast that he almost couldn't keep track of all their movements. He needed to end this quickly. He gathered his strength. It was now or never.
"I just need to get his attention for one moment and she can get him." Rido muttered to himself. Ran had noticed Rido moving closer. Their eyes met for a brief moment. For that moment, it was like they could read each other. They both knew what they needed to do and they both knew what they were going to do.
Rido ran for Kaname, gaining the man's attention. Ran had gathered her bats; they once again followed her movements. They formed fingers like her own. Her hand thrusted forwards, entering Kaname's chest, the bats following. Kaname's eyes opened wide and gasped. The bats continued through his body. He stared at Ran in shock, he watched her remove her hand along as his heart. Rido fell to the floor with Kaname's body.
Ran stared at her hand, Kaname's heart in her hand. His heart was in her hand. The bloodlust was leaving her eyes. She looked around at the destruction around her. Did she really do all of this? She never thought that she would be able to do this. Rido was right, she was a Dracul, she was powerful.
"Rido!" She shouted his name as her eyes fell on him. She dropped Kaname's heart forgetting all about it. "Rido."
"I'm fine." Rido wheezed as he sat up. "I'm fine just a little banged up." He added with a smile. Ran smiled back.
"What do we do now?" She whispered looking at Kaname.
"Destroy his heart, destroy him." Rido growled as he looked over at Kaname. Ran helped Rido up onto his feet. "Are you ok, my queen?" He then asked. Ran blushed and nodded.
"I'll be better once you are better, my king." Ran answered and Rido chuckled.
