The day of judgement had arrived....Good vs Evil, Near vs Light
In a large run down industrial estate stood a large abandoned warehouse.
Inside held only 4 people... Near was sat on the cold hard concrete floor, A plastic mask covering his face, A few finger puppets he had made himself surrounding him.
To his right stood Rester, To his left was Halle and behind him stood Gevanni. All of them had their guns in hand waiting for light and his team to arrive.
“Are you sure about this. I mean were completely in the open.”Gevanni said.
“That door.” Near said pointing to it. “Is the only way into this building and if you’ve done your job correctly the second Kira can not kill us even with the eyes.” he stated calmly
They all turned as the door opened and Light and his team filed in... standing in front of Near. Light had made sure to leave a slight gap in the door before making his way to his own team.
They all stared at each other silently before Light spoke up “We came at your request N, Isn’t it unfair that your the only one wearing that mask.”
Near smiled under his mask, “That is true but i wanted to observe something first.” He raised his hand and pulled off the mask
Matsuda couldn’t help speaking his mind “ He’s a young child”
“I assure you Matsuda i am not a child.” Near replied placing the mask down beside him.

(Outside)

In a Red car a short distance from the warehouse.
“Matt calm down and sit still” Mello growled out. Matt sighed as he put out another cigarette, “He’s been in there 10 minutes i’m getting worried. “
“Near is a very capable....” Mello trailed off and he sat straighter
“What’s wrong”> Matt asked..
Mello pointed to a well dressed man moving down the side of the warehouse to the door that Light had left opening... Not entering only watching what was happening inside.
Matt made an attempt to get out of the car, Mello laid his hand on Matts arm.”We don’t know who that is” Matt almost shouted.
Mello growled and Matt winced and bowed his head in submission, Lighting another cigarette, While he called Rod to check things his end.
“Damn it” Mello muttered to himself
“Hold on Rod” Matt said and looking up. “What’s wrong”
“He has a book” Was all Mello said s he got of of the car and making his way to the warehouse.
Matt scrambled stubbing his cigarette out “Call you back something is happening.” Matt hung up and threw the phone into the back seat and getting out of the car following Mello. “Mell...” He paused at Mello’s hand motion ...
“That guy went inside... just listen” Mello whispered back to Matt.
Matt moved closer to the door and listened

“How much time has past. second Kira” Near asked calmly
Gevanni and Rester had moved and grabbed Mikami as he entered... Mikami glanced from Lights team to Near and replied “26...27...”
Near looked to Light staring him down... “This doesn’t change anything Light Yagami.... i have all the evidence i need that you are indeed Kira.” Near stated calmly.
Light stared back “I am not Kira how many times do have to tell you “
Mikami kept whispering “33...34...”
Near smirked And waited for the count down to end... Gevanni fidgeted slightly nervously as Mikami counted ... “36...37..38..39”
Light smiled “You lose”
“40...”Mikami finished and looked up
“Sorry was something supposed to happen.” Near asked “Oh and how do i lose exactly... Unless you are of course Kira. Then i should be dead.”
Light growled and glared at Mikami...
“Kami.” Mikami looked to the book puzzled
“Rester please fetch the book in Second Kira’s possession” Near asked
Rester took it from Mikami and walk to Nears side handed it to him, Near took it and held it up “Seems everyone’s name is in here... Except yours Light Yagami.”
Matsuda turned to Light “is what he saying correct”
“No hes lying look at him hes a child for gods sake. “ Light growled out
“I have all evidence and more... I was confused at first how You defeated L., But you didn’t a Shinigami did, and i couldn’t defeat you alone either.”
Near paused picking up 3 of the finger puppets. “See me alone couldn’t defeat you... nor could Mello alone..”
Mello walked in gun in hands... Halle turned a gun on him.. “Sorry carry on” Mello said pointing his weapon to Light
“Me and Mello couldn’t do it alone but together we can. we each have things that have brought you down,... and the final player” Holding up a matt puppet “Together us 3 found the evidence, Even when apart we worked together. “
Light sighed as Matt walked in to Nears other side “How...”
“Mello took out Takada, Matt hacked your system and phones and I with help from my team swapped the death note with a fake.... “
“Kami, He couldn’t of ... he couldn’t” Mikami yelled
“Shut up.” Light growled as he fiddled with his watch.
“You made a mistake the moment L took this case... and a even bigger one when you had him killed” Matt said
Light smirked “I can still win... “ He said as he withdrew paper from his watch
“Mello he has a piece of death note” Matt called out
Mello saw it to and aimed shooting Lights hand... Light screamed in agony clutching his hand...”You think that will stop me i’m a god damn it and you will bow before me “ Light said scrambling for the door..
Matsuda aimed for Light... “Stop Light, stop” Matsuda was shaking
Mello raised his gun again shooting Light over and over again. When it was empty Light fell to the floor. “The only god in this world didn’t murder
anyone... “He growled out clutching his rosary...

Halle came to Mello’s side... “He’s gone give me the gun.” She held his arm and he gladly handed her the gun....
Mikami screamed...”No Kami..” Matsuda walked over to Mikami and slapped him hard. “Shut up. your under arrest Mikami Teru ..>” Gevanni helped cuff Mikami.. Halle went and checked Light pronouncing him dead...
Matt was in a state of shock, he shook his head before making his way to Near....
Near was talking to Rester quietly and paused when he saw Matt approach.
“Near... you did it” Matt said holding himself back from just hugging him.
“No we did it, If you and Mello hadn’t stopped Takada it could’ve caused some trouble” He replied looking down to the floor.
“How have you been Near? I’ve missed you.”
“You have Mello now so no need.” Near looked to Rester “Have Gevanni and Halle work with the Japanese tem to clear up and finish off.”
“Of course Near sir.” Rester went and spoke with them glancing back to Near now and then.
“Near... will you come back with us.” Matt asked straight out
“No”
“Can we come with you then?” Matt asked trying hard not to cry.
“No, You’re better off without me in you’re life...they’ll be more cases crime will never stop no matter how many we stop. you have a happy Normal life with Mello.” Near said not looking up merely collecting all his puppets up.
Matt wiped his eyes, “How can you say that... I love you Near.”
Shaking his head “No you love Mello, I know because i remember those nights you cried yourself to sleep.... i cant give normality Matt, and we can’t live together as a happy little trio, Because Mello hates me....That will never change , I’m not asking you to choose because i know you can’t so i’m making the choice for you....Go home Matt..” Near stopped and lowered his head even further.
Matt couldn’t control the tears now and he broke down. Mello came over hugging him.
“How can you be so cold, he loves you god damn it......”Mello paused as Near raised his head.
“I know he does that is why i’m not making him choose.... you and i both know it’ll be hard all three together, why put him through that...” Near wiped the tears from his cheek....
Mello nodded silently ‘This is hurting him to.’ he thought to himself.
“Rester lets go we have things to do” Near called and bowed his head again. Matt raised his head looking to Near “So that’s it after everything we have been through your throwing it away....”
“Is that what you want to hear..... then yes i am “ Near stood shakily and Rester helped him out of the door, leaving Matt breaking into tears all over again with Mello supporting him...
Members of both teams were watching them, Mello looked around “Matt lets go we have each other still” Matt merely nodded and clung to Mello as they walked outside and back to their car...Mello drove them home and carried Matt inside, Rod stood as they entered “How did it....”
Mello shook his head “Kira is dead... We don’t want to be disturbed please.” Mello said carrying Matt to their bedroom closing the door behind him.
( With Near )
When Rester had arrived back to HQ, Near opened the door to get out. But his legs couldn’t support him and he fell to the floor.
Rester rushed round to Near side, “Near are you ok?”
“I’m just tired.” Near replied
Rester nodded and picked Near up bridal style carrying him inside and to his bedroom. “You should eat something...”
“I’m not hungry but i’ll have tea.”
Rester sighed and left Near’s room. Near grabbed his Panda hugging him to his chest. ‘I did the right thing, Matt is better off with Mello...He’ll be happier there i know he will.’ Near thought to himself, He clenched his eyes shut willing himself not to break down.
Rester sat by the computers watching the cameras in Nears room. ‘The Kira case is now over... Now you don’t have anything distracting you, Now all you have to think about is your regrets.’ He sighed sadly as he went to the kitchen to make Nears drink pouring the tea he set it on a tray with a sandwich and Nears tablets and glass of water. He carried it down to Nears room.
“Near i brought your drink, snack and medication.” Rester said quietly.
Near looked up frowning, But took the small container of his tablets. “Theres one more then normal” He said quietly.
“I know, You said you trusted my judgement with your medication, you also said you would continue all medication if i didn’t bring a doctor in to check on your weight loss.” Rester replied
Near gave a half glare and started taking the tablets taking drinks of water after each one. Rester smiled and took the now empty glass “Thank you... and try eat a little “ Near frowned at that but nodded
“Fine i’ll try” Near said quietly, sipping on his tea. Rester nodded and placed an extra blanket on the bed “I’ll be outside in main room if you need anything”
Near didn’t bother replying, and Rester didn’t expect one as he made his back back out to the main room.

Once Rester had left the room Near finished drinking his tea, Took a small bite from the sandwich pulling a face before placing it down and pushing it away from him and lying down holding his panda close falling into a restless sleep.
