“Kana! Kana! Kana where are you?” Tasuki yelled walking around the verranda of the house. Kana sat up groggily and realized she was sitting in the middle of some bushes.

“Down here.” She yelled before standing up. Tasuki hung over the edge of the railing and looked down at her.

“What are ya doin’ down there?” HE questioned before she climbed up the side and jumped over the railing.

“digging for gold what do you think I fell.” She growled before he backed away.

“Geez sorry. Chichiri asked me to go see if I could find you, he said you never went to bed last night and he was worried about you.” Kana’s eyes flashed pain before she shook her head.

“Tell him I’m fine I just slept outside last night.” She entered the house before Tasuki followed her. Breakfast was silent, everyone now knew what was happening with Tenkou and the thoughts of Miaka and Taka being in danger were weighing heavy on their thoughts plus they didn’t want to menchoin anything about relationships with Chichiri and Kana both in the same room.

Later that night everyone, except Kana, stood in front of the house talking over their strategy. Inside however Kana placed a protection spell over herself so being in the demon world wouldn’t hurt her.

“I conjur thee oh mystical art,

That you will be for me a place

Of fulfillment and power

A fortress of strength and protection

Containing the powers of the ruined ones

And the happiness of tomorrows people.” A small white orb flashed around her before it obsorbed into her being.



Outside Tenkou appeared along with the entrance to a demon world, his world.

“Tasuki.” Chichiri whispered sensing the power before everyone turned to look at a shadowed form of Tenkou.

“You are perseptive Chichiri yes Taka and the Priestess of suzaku are here aren’t you going to come and join them?” Tenkou whispered.

Kana came out and stood on the porch watching the others and waiting for Lai-Lai.

“That’s awfully kind of you.” Nuriko whispered.

“So we finally get to meet you face to face.” Tasuki growled.

“I look foeward to it.” Tnkou whispered before diasappearing in the shadows leaving only the entrance to the demon world.

“Well what do you think should we go and collect our friends?” Nuriko whispered.

“This is the final battle.” Hotohori whispered tightening the grip on his sword.

“This si so exciting.” Chiriko squealed excitedly.

“Yes, but we musn’t get carried away.” Mitsukake reminded the young boy.

“How should we announce ourselves? Can I…” Tasuki pulled out his tessen and fanned it out. “open the show?”

“Leave that part to me!” Cried a little girls voice before everyone looked up to see Lai-Lai sitting on a tree branch.

“Lai-Lai.” Mitsukake whispered.

“Where tha hell have you been?” Tasuki questioned.

“You really do wait for the most dramatice moment don’t you Lai-Lai?” Nuriko questioned with a smile.

“YEAH!” The girl gave a peace sign and winked.

“HIYA!!” Nuriko yelled busting through the door so they could get to the room Miaka and Taka were in. “Boy it sure feels great to be in a real flesh and blood body again, that didn’t hurt you did it Lai-Lai?” Nuriko questioned the little girl who had duplicated herself to make sure the spirits of the former Suzaku seishi could battle.

“No problem.” Lai-Lai giggled.

“Miaka! Taka!” Chiriko yelled seeing the two. Taka sat on his knees on the floor, Miaka strewn on his lap a puddle of blood around them, Miaka’s blood.

“What’s this? I didn’t sense this at all.” Nuriko whispered shocked.

“You couldn’t have, because her life force is completely gone.” Chichiri whispered just as shocked at the scene.

“Miaka!” “Hang on!” Tasuki and Hotohori yelled at the same time before trying to run into the room but just ran into a forcefield forcing them to yell in pain. “AHH!” The yelled in unison yet again.

“For the sake of true love you destroyed yourself and the one you love Priestess of Suzaku, in the crimson clothes yoru beloveds hands dressed you in accompanied by his shattered heart you now wed the darkness. This was so predictable it almost bores me, I guess it was their destiny.” Tankou stated from the end of the hallway dressed in the vlothed of a human from the other world, the real world.

“YOU! This was your plan to destroy us all along wasn’t it Tenkou!” Chichiri yelled realizing what was intended had come true.

“Chichiri, I could never destroy anyone on my own, gods merely guide people to their true nature. To destroy the person you love, there’s no way he could retain his sanity now. For ages I have awaited this moment in The Universe of the Four Gods. For the last 1000 years human desire has grown while the power of love has weakened. The evil within man makes me stronger, and within the writing of The Universe of the Four Gods I became a god. Various people have worshipped me Nakago’s tribe included. But my true ambition of existing in the real world required huge amounts of negative energy and that energy had to be focused directly at me. You were the most adequitly qualified. I’m going back now to the land of my dreams along with this ancient capitol of agem. Miaka Yuki, Taka Sukunami I am greatful to you both. Thanks to you once I destroy the gateway to The Universe of the Four Gods I will be free for all eternity!” Tenkou laughed as he began to disappear. Kana stepped forward and walked right through the barrier with anger in her eyes

“TENKOU!!!” She yelled before he appeared again.

“Kana?” Chichiri whispered as everyone looked at her puzzled.

“Ah, Kanashimi the premortial brat that is slowly dieing because of me. Did you have something to say to me?” Tenkou mocked but Kana was not angry. “You were nothing but a simple man, a simple man who did not know who or what he was. The powers of the ancients are not your to control anylonger! Power does not reign for superiority of this world Stupidity does and with this being true you are the most foolish of all. It is not the power that makes you stronger it is your own hunger for destruction on a world that wanted nothing to do with a lowly selfrituous bastard like you!” She yelled before closing her eyes as a white light engulfed her, the power of Byakko.

“Intresting, she has experianced so much pain and yet she’s not angered at all, all I sense is sorrow. Try as much as you like Kanashimi your powers are useless when you are dieing. Breaking the barrier will rip you to pieces.” Tenkou laughed before disappearing.

“Taka? I can sense Taka’s life force.” Nuriko whispered as Kana teetered.

“By the positive powers of the ancient ones

I clothe myself in the star robe of peace, power and honor

That I may walk the path of both protection and enlightenment

That I may greet any situation with grace and clarity

That I may behave in a positive manner

In the names of the god and goddess

May my destiny be the token of my life

I have made it so!” Kana yelled before the barrier broke and the others went into Miaka’s world.

“Indeed your life force has grown tremendously. Neither Taka or Tamahome could live seperately and in this life force I sense no anger or hate but still, it’s not enough!!” Tenkou yelled to Taka before the others appeared.

“Hey did you forget about us you stupid jerk!” Tasuki yelled with his tessen raised.

“You didn’t even realize we broke down your barrier did you?” Nuriko questioned.

“It wasn’t that hard either.” Chiriko added.

“We won’t allow you to go through with this meniacle plan!” Hotohori yelled.

“And you will never lay a finger on those two ever again!!” Chichiri finished.

“Stupid fools, you are still nothing but easy prey to me.” Tenkou laughed before Miaka’s voice echoed through the air.

“The four palaces of heaven, the four corners of the earth I summon thee Suzaku guardian of the South…” Miaka’s voice began as the others looked to the sky.

“Miaka’s voice.” Nuriko gasped.

“The spell.” Tasuki whispered.

“In the name of sacred law, faith and virtue. I beseech you to appear on Earth.” Taka’s voice joined with Miaka’s.

“Both their voices.” Hotohori murmurred under his breath.

“For the sake of those who here adore you to await peace. Come to us and with your mighty power destroy all evil that threatens us, save us and grant our wishes. From the heavens above descend to us now!!” The two finished the incantation before Suzaku spread his wings through the sky and aloowed his deep red feathers to branch the sun away from Taenkou.

“So my holy powers have been returned to me, it’s time Tenkou, for your sacred legend to end!” Suzaku’s voice bellowed through the air.

“They did this? These two could revive you by sacrificing themselves? But I am a god!!” Tenkou gasped.

“You are not a god, think back Tenkou to your original form. You were a man, a man that lived long ago here in this land of the rising sun. The vengeful ghost of a greed filled man executed and erased from history. You became a god only within your own insanity. A phantom who forgot he was ever a man, what’s more we four gods have appeared to banish you into darkness! Now BE GONE!!” Suzaku yelled before the other gods, Seiryu, Byakko and Genbu all appeared and used their life forces to destroy the being once known as Tenkou and send him back to the darkness unable this time for him to be reborn into his own unstable world.

Tasuki lie on the ground with his hands behind his head for a cushion as he looked around calmly.

“I guess I bought it back there. I always thought the after life would be prettier than this, this just looks like Mt. Tikyoku.” He whispered before Chichiri popped out.

“This is Mt. Tikyoku no da!”

“Oh Chichiri, your dead too.” Tasuki looked over to the man who cocked his eyebrows hopelessly.

“We’re not dead no da.” He sighed.

“How come you still have your mask on now that your dead?” Tasuki questioned before Taiitsukun appeared floating high above the cliff the two stood on.

“Very well done, I’m glad to see you all back here safely.” She stated before Tasuki jumped up and saw her.

“AH I’M IN HELL!!!” HE yelled at the top of his lungs not realizing everyone else was also there, Taiitsukun shocked him with some energy. “AH!”

“Now I will answer any questions you may have.”

“Ooh! Ooh! Me! Me!” Tasuki yelled.

“Any questions referring to my appearance and you’ll be sorry.”

“Oonh.” Tasuki whined disappointedly.

“Nuriko smack him.”

“ITAI!!” Tasuki yelled rubbing his head where Nuriko had smacked him.

“Taiitsukun what happened to thse two?” Nuriko questioned pointing up to Miaka and Taka’s bodies which were floating in pink bubbles next to the old haggish woman.

“There bodies could not handle all the power but there life forces could.” Taiitsukun explained before Miaka and Taka’s voices could be heard in the air and faint images of them appeared.

“Hello everybody.”

“Can you hear us?”

“To summon Suzaku they seperated from their bodies in the other world.”

“Miaka, Taka, you did it. You destroyed Tenkou, I knew only you two could.” Nuriko whispered close to tears.

“No that’s not true Nuriko, you all helped.” Miaka corrected him.

“You all taught us so much, it was your love for us that gave us strenght. Arrigato.” Taka explained further. Chiriko let out a tiny whimper and cried quietly.

“The rules of conflict, know yourself, believe in yourself and finally overcome yourself. You two did that, celestial warriors the spell has been broken and Tenkou has been vanquished. That unfortunate brother and sister along with all the other spirits that were transformed into demons will be saved.; Now all that remians is you two, you choose where you want to materialize, you may stay ehre if you want.” Taiitsukun summed before Maiak placed a hand over her mouth I surprise.

“Here? We can stay ehre with everybody?” She choked.

“Go on home you two.” Nuriko yelled.

“Yeah to your own home.” Chiriko whispered smiling through his tears.

“It’s always good to be back where you were born and you have family and friends there waiting for you.” Nuriko added.

“Taka, weren’t you bern in that world to find Miaka and get to know people there?” Hotohori questioned.

“And there’s so many people you have yet to get to know.” Nuriko whispered once again.

“Go, we will be reborn into our new bodies.” Mitsukak whispered with a broad smile.

“We will cary you with us in our hearts.” Chiriko nodded.

“Taka make sure Miaka’s as happy as she can be, and you too you know.” Chichiri smiled and waved.

“I love you all and I know you have all loved me too. You have encouraged me with your beautiful smiles and brought me up whenever I was down. That’s why I don’t have to say goodbye, I know I will see you all again someday.” Miaka whispered before the two disappeared along with their bodies.

“Come we shall go to my palace and make sure you all get reborn.” Taiitsukun stated.

“Taiitsukun?” Chichiri whispered looking around worriedly. “What happened to Kana?” He questioned.
