What is this Life?

It's a beautiful autumn day in Kyoto, not too hot but summer heat hasn't completely dissipated either. Tohma Seguchi is driving into the city for his fourth time this week and is dreading the meeting he has to attend. He thinks to himself, "Those Americans are such idiots. Why do they have to renegotiate a contract that's less than six months old? I have half a mind to turn around and go home!"
Just as he is about to pull onto the highway off-ramp, he's pulled from his thoughts. He hears the DJ on the radio making an announcement about a new controversial song by Ryuichi Sakuma and new singing sensation Shuichi Shindou. Tohma slams on the brakes and almost crashes the car into the guard rail. “SHINDOU?”
Before the song is started, the DJ interjects that the song has a parental warning on it since it seems to be about three people being in love, not two. Tohma turns up the volume and listens carefully as the DJ continues. “Ladies and gentlemen, we present the debut of :

As the song comes to its final chords, Tohma turns off the radio and pulls out his cell phone. He hits number one on his speed dial. When Ryuichi picks up at the other end of the connection, Tohma screams at the top of his lungs, “RYUICHI, YOU IDIOT, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”
Ryuichi pulls the phone away from his ear and disconnects the call. He turns to his lovers who have been standing there the whole time and heard the shouts coming from the phone. With steely reserve he states, “Well guys, it’s started. I suggest we prepare ourselves for what’s going to happen next. Tohma is not going to let this go unanswered.”
