Arriving at the apartment Syaoran turned to the boy that was to stay with him for the next month or so, Eriol was looking out the window but made no sign of realising the taxi had pulled up instead he looked at the apartment that stood tall in f of of him with all the many windows looking across the city.
“Were here” the brown haired boy spoke softly as not to startle the other teenager out of his thoughts.
Turning his head to look at the person who spoke Eriol just bowed his head in a nod, not taking his eyes of the others.
The driver opened the door for the two boys and smiled lightly as both stepped out.
Syaoran paid the driver.
Making sure the other followed close behind Syaoran walked into the building and into the elevator, after pressing the required floor number both waited in silence as the machine began its usual course. A bell gave the noise that they had reached the desired floor and the doors opened to reveal a lightly lit corridor with doors on either side.
Walking past the numbered doors the Syaoran stoped at the third last door that was named ‘103’.
Behind him Eriol stood silently looking at the door that they had stopped in front of. Taking out a small silver key from his pants pocket Syaoran opened the door with the sound of a click as it unlocked.
Stepping into the room he held the door open for Eriol. The dull grey eyes scanned the room slowly stopping on a few insignificant things that was positioned around the room.
Walking further into the room, Syaoran began to make himself busy by cleaning up few things that he had forgotten to do before he left.
“It’s a two bedroom apartment so I have set a bed up for you” looking up at the blue haired teenager for a response, seeing nothing but a blank stare looking back at him he nodded and continued to talk.
“I’ll show you around” putting deep green pillow back on the lounge he began on his tour of the apartment.
“In here is the Kitchen, and that door just over here is where the bathroom is” he walked through the white tiled kitchen to where a tall door stood tall in a small hallway that was only an arms length deep in the kitchen that separated the long wall that held the cupboards that the kitchenware was in.
Opening the door it revealed a medium sized bathroom which was a dimmer white, the bathroom held all the essential items that a bathroom held from sink to shower.
Walking back out of the room Syaoran continued on his path around the kitchen where it ended back into the lounge room where a large deep blue ‘L’ shaped lounge sat, in front of it was a small pine table holding a small photo of Syaoran and two girls wha what looked like school books lying open on the table. Near the wall was a medium sized TV that was held in a cabinet. There were two windows that met the floor in the room giving it its deserved light with blue curtains being held back by ribbon, in the middle of them both was a door that opened out onto a veranda overlooking the city there were small plants sitting in the corners and few hanging from the roof.
Walking to a small hallway that could only be lit by the small light hanging from the ceiling there were four pine looking doors two on either side of the hallway.
Syaoran walked further into the hallway pointing to the door at the very end on his left, “That is a closet” he spoke looking back at Eriol who stood quietly behind him.
“This room here is my room, and that one is also a closet though I don’t use it” he pointed to the door closest to them on his right signalling that was his room and the door further down from it was the unused closet.
“And this one is your room” opening the door on their left opposite Syaoran’s bedroom he stepped in to a warmly lit room.
Eriol looked into the room there was a double bed in the corner of the room, on the other side of the room was a desk that held some small reading books and a tin with pens in it. Thers a s a built in wardrobe facing the bed next to the door they stood at in front of them on the other side of the room was two large windows, both with identical curtains to the ones in the lounge room, the windows overlooked a small park.
“I hope you like it, it’s the guest room but I don’t have too many people sleeping over so it hasn’t been used for some time now” looking at Eriol, Syaoran waited for the reaction he would receive, but all that was given to him was a slight bow the the other teenagers head.
Nodding Syaoran looked around the room once again, silently making sure there was nothing sharp that could be used for cutting seeing that there was none he turned to Eriol and bowed.
“I’ll let you get comfortable, if you need me I’ll be in the kitchen, okay” Eriol nodded slightly not taking his eyes of the boy that stood in front of him, Syaoran nodded in reply and left the room closing the door quietly behind him.
Eriol stood in the same place for a while scanning the room, he inwardly sighed, Syaoran had made sure that there was nothing sharp in the room.
He didn’t know wether to cry or to just stand there, instead he moved over to the window and looked out to the city that had a pink tinge of the setting sun over it.
Syaoran made his way around the kitchen finding his needed ingredients for tea. His chocolate brown eyes kept flickering in the direction of the hallway that was only just visible from the kitchen feeling slightly scared of leaving Eriol alone in a room and not knowing what the other may be doing in there, shaking his head he mentally told himself that if he made dinner quickly he would be able to call the other out of the room and into the lounge room where he can keep a closer eye on him, maybe even get to know him if he could get him in a conversation where he actually talked back.
He had only heard him speak once and that was just his name that he had spoken, when Syaoran had heard his voice he remembered the dullness that it held even though he could hardly hear what was being spoken.
An hour past, Syaoran hadn’t heard anything from the room that held Eriol and he was beginning to get worried for the others safety. Smiling he felt a wave of relief as he realised that the dinner was ready.
