Disclaimer: I’ll run through it again JUST IN CASE you
didn’t get it the first two times. I do not own Tennis no Ohjisama though I

Jump which has the manga preview in it, and “borrowed” copies of the anime.

“Nonsense. Come over around seven-thirty, after your run.
I’ll be expecting you.” Without another word he walked away, leaving a very
disappointed, excited, and scared Kaidoh Kaoru behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After
eating his dinner and helping around the house for a few minutes, Kaidoh ran to
his room and changed into his more comfortable training clothes. Grabbing a
water bottle on the way out, he stopped to stretch. As soon as he felt like he
was good and ready, he tied the weights to his ankles and jumped up and down a
few times, getting used to the feel of them. And then, he ran.
Running
always made Kaidoh feel br. Hr. He could relax his mind, most of the time
thinking about nothing but the sound of his breathing and the steady rhythm of
his feet hitting pavement. Before big games he would focus on the information
that had been disclosed to them by Inui on the other players, and would work
through various strategies to beat them. Or he would think about Ryoma’s cat,
Karupin, on the rare occasion that he would pass one during his run.
Sometimes
he would lose himself and almost forget where he was, but his body never missed
a beat. It kept up the rhythmic motions of running without overstepping,
unconsciously missed all the grooves and imperfections in the pavement that
would mar the rhythm of the run.
Tonight,
however, was different. His mind wasn’t a blank slate. Every single cell of his
brain was focusing on his destination that night, and the person that would be
waiting for him at the end. He wasn’t sure what would happen, and he didn’t
even know what he wanted to happen for that matter. He just knew he wanted to
be there.
‘I
wonder what he’s doing right now.’ He mused, glancing at his watch. His run was
about over, and it was near quarter after seven. If he headed towards Inui’s
house now, he would arrive in fifteen minutes, and that would also be a
sufficient distance to end. ‘Scary. I bet he knew exactly what path I would
take and that’s how he came up with the time.’ Kaidoh grinned as he changed
directions, heading down a different road.
And
Kaidoh’s guess was right. Inui had calculated the path Kaidoh would most likely
take, and that’s how he had arrived at the time for them to meet. He had also
figured out the exact time he would be left alone.
Sitting
at his computer, the data collector opened a journal with Kaidoh’s name on it
and started to enter all the information he had collected. He had a journal on
his computer for all the Seigaku regulars, and then one for every team they
encountered. Kaidoh’s file, her, er, was the largest since Inui had taken it
upon himself to make sure the mamushi got all the proper training to be as great
as he wanted to, and could be.
Having
only thirteen point five minutes to input his data, Inui started typing
furiously. The only sounds that could be heard coming from his room were those
of his fingers rapidly striking the keys, and maybe the occasional exclamation
when he found a particularly interesting piece of data.
Glancing
at his clock once he realized Kaidoh would be there in precisely one minute, so
he saved the file, shut it, and turned off the computer screen, only a light
hum and the green light of the hard drive giving away the fact that it was
indeed on.
The
tall boy left his room and went down to the front door, hardly able to contain
his excitement. This was it. Kaidoh would be in his house, and they would be
alone for awhile. He grinned as he pulled the door open to see Kaidoh turning
the corner of his street. He waited as the boy came up and stopped, leaning
over onto his knees, breathing a little heavier than normal, sweat dripping off
his face.
“Just
on time.”
“Pssshhh.”
Was the mamushi’s reply as he wiped the sweat from his face with the towel he
always carried when he ran.
“Come
on in. I’ll get you some water.”
“It’s
alright, Inui-senpai. I have-“
“No,
you’ll need that for when you head home. Come on in.” He said once more, moving
aside as the smaller boy nodded and entered his house. Grinning he shut tdoordoor behind him.
Once
they were both in, Inui led him to the kitchen and got him a glass of water.
Kaidoh thanked him and drank it quickly, the cool fluid sliding down his parched
throat. Inui smiled once more and took the glass, putting it down.
“Let’s
go up to my room. I’ll show you what I’ve been working Mot Motioning for
Kaidoh to follow, Inui led the way to his room, opening the door and letting
him in first before he entered, shutting the door behind him. His mind was
racing, trying to grasp the seriousness of the situation. He was in his room.
And sweaty at that, he noted, trying to mask the pleasure that tried to creep
onto his face.
Kaidoh
was thinking similar thoughts as he nervously stepped into Inui’s room,
wondering what he would find. It was surprisingly dark as the blinds were shut,
but he could still make out the contents of the room. He relaxed a bit as he
looked around, not at all surprised.
In
one corner was the boy’s bed. It was made, but there were wrinkles in the
comforter and it was lying slightly askew. On the other side was a large desk
with books all over it in no particular order. The chair in front of it was the
same green as the carpet. Next to that was a computer t hol holding Inui’s
computer, and a little stool tucked under it. In the corner next to the
computer table was a tower of drawers, most likely for his clothes, a radio
perched on top. Kaidoh turned to see that against the wall with the door was a
short table with a tv set on top of it. Next to that was a box, similar to the
one Inui occasionally brought to prac. Li. Littering the floor were some
notebooks and books on tennis, and adorning the otherwise bare walls were a few
tennis postersnotenotes and schedules the data collector must have hastily
scribbled and taped up there.
Inui
watched Kaidoh take in his room, his evil grin quickly replacing his passive
expression. “See anything you like?” He teased as Kaidoh turned red, his eyes
shifting to his bed almost imperceptibly, but Inui had seen it. “You must be
tired from you run. Why don’t you go take a shower and I’ll set up the data I
wanted to show you. I need to finish up on something really quick too, so that
should be sufficient time for me to do that.”
“I
wouldn’t want to be any trouble…” Kaidoh started, slightly nervous at taking a
shower there.
“None
at all.” With that he reopened toor oor and led him to the bathroom, handing
him a towel. He shut the door behind him as he left and waited a few moments
before he heard Kaidoh’s clothes drop to the ground and the water start to run.
Satisfied with that he headed back to his room and flicked the screen on to his
computer and opened the file once more, finishing putting in the data he had been
working on.
Despite
what his body and half his brain wanted him to do with Kaidoh in his house, he
knew he mustn’t rush things with him too fast, or he ran the risk of loosing
him all together. Besides, he really did have a way to possibly make the Boomerang
Snake work, and he wanted to show him the plans before practice the next day so
he could surprise everyone. But then again, Kaidoh WAS in his bathroom, taking
a shower, naked. And he WOULD be in his room again in approximately seven
minutes. Choices, choices, choices.
Kaidoh stepped into the shower and ran the hot water,
letting it wash over his body. He wasn’t exactly comfortable with what he was
doing, but it was a request from a senpai, and he couldn’t say no. But the
water did feel good and it eased the tension that was floating through the air.
After taking a relatively short shower compared to what he
normally was used to at home, he climbed out and dried himself, pulling his
running clothes back on. If he had known he would be taking a shower he would
have brought other clothes. Didn’t matter though. He finished pulling the black
tank over his head and ran the towel through his hair a few times to catch most
of the water so he wouldn’t drip it over the house and then opened the door,
heading back to Inui’s room.
The door was open when he approached so he walked in,
clearing his throat so Inui would notice him. “Thank you.” Kaidoh said, Inui
waving his hand as he pulled a paper off the wall above him computer and pulled
the green chair out.
“Have a seat.” Kaidoh walked over, slightly disappointed
they weren’t going to sit on his bed. “This is a chart of your progress. As you
can see you’ve been steadily improving. But I suspect you don’t think it’s
en
enough, isn’t that correct?”
“Yes.” Kaidoh looked at the impressive chart depicting his
various times and things he didn’t understand. Glancing up he noticed everyone
had similar charts. Another disappointment.
“Well you don’t want to push yourself much harder than you
already are. There is only so much a body can take.” Kaidoh nodded, figuring
Inui would eventually say something like that, but he didn’t like it.
“Alright.” Inui pulled out another handful of papers and handed them to the
boy, who proceeded to look over them, not sure what they were. “This is the
pattern you use when you use the Snake.” Inui said, pointing to one of the
papers and scooting his chair closer. Kaidoh swallowed, his face going slightly
red as Inui dry hair brushed against his damp hair. “And this is the one you
use when you do the Boomerang Snake in doubles.” He pointed to the second
detailed paper. “Now, if you change the rotation like this, there is a
eighty-seven percent chance you will be able to use it in singles. Why don’t
you try out the arm motions to see if you can feel any difference.”
Inui stood and dragged his tennis bag out, pulling out one
of his rackets and handing it to Kaidoh. It was a little different from his, so
he practiced swinging the Snake first before moving on to the doubles Boomerang
Snake. After he was comfortable with that, he tried the new movements Inui had
depicted on the sheet.
“No, not like that. You’re moving your waist to early.
Here.” Inui grinned as he took the opportunity to stand behind Kaidoh, running
his right hand slowly down the boy’s right arm, wrapping his hand around the
hand gripping the racket. He pressed his body up against him. “Move when I
move.” He breathed into Kaidoh’s ear, a deep flush now covering the boys face.
He barely managed a nod as Kaidoh pulled his arm back and then swept it
forward, quickly wrapping his left arm around the other’s waist to move it when
it should. “Once more.” Inui breathed again, little beads of sweat appearing on
Kaidoh’s forehead as he did.
Again the two arms were pulled back and swept forward, this
time Inui’s left arm pulling Kaidoh closer against his body, allowing the boy
to feel something hard against his back. He moaned softly, almost falling over,
Inui grinning. “Are you alright, Kaidoh?”
“H-hai.”
“Good. Keep doing that. I’ll be right back.” Just as
suddenly as he had come, he moved away, leaving the boy to regain his balance.
Taking a deep breath Kaidoh continued, trying to ignore the tightness in his
belly.
Inui finally came back up with something in his hands.
“Here.” Inui grinned and handed the white bottle to Kaidoh.. “Try some.”
Kaidoh took the bottle and looked at it, his face turning
blue. “N-no thanks.”
“Drink it.”
“Inui-senpai.” He pleaded, trying to hand the bottle back to
Inui. “I really don’t-“
“Tsk tsk. Going against the requests of a senpai?” Kaidoh’s
face blanched and Inui took the bottle away. “Well, if your not going to drink
it…” Inui trailed off, putting the bottle down as he swiftly approached the
boy, taking the racket from him and tossing it towards the bag. Within another
second strong arms encircled his waist and warm, hungry, eager lips were
pressed against his.
Yaaahooo! I love cliffhangers. So what do you all think?
Lemon next chapter? Hmmm… perhaps, perhaps. Depends on if you review. If you don’t,
I’ll prolong it! LMAO! ^_^ Enjoy.
