Wake Up Call

~Schuldig’s POV~
Beep. Beep. Beep. I slammed my hand down on the sleep button before opening my eyes to look at the clock. Great…just fucking great. Only two hours of sleep and it’s time to get up. I slowly got up and leaned my head against the headboard before I heard the pounding coming from my door. I do not need this today. My head hurts like shit. God Damnit! Leave me the fuck alone.
“What do you want?”
“Schuldig, get your lazy ass out of bed now before I drag you out of that bed myself.”
Great, just fucking great, it’s the ever loving Bradley Crawford. Not even five minutes after my alarm clock goes off and he’s storming to my door like an angry parent. Just fucking great.
“I’m up already, asshole. Go fuck yourself. I have plenty of time till I need to leave.”
I closed my eyes hoping maybe for once he would just leave and take the hint. Without another thought the door slammed open. I guess he didn’t get the hint.
“What the fuck do you think you are doing, Schuldig?! Talking to me like you are the leader. You better start listening to me or you’re going to fucking pay for it.”
Dear god, think someone could say the fuck word more? Oh, wait, I have. This morning. I laughed softly at myself and wished I had chosen not to do so. All I saw coming my way was a blur of motion before my whole cheek felt like fire. I gently placed two fingers to my now swollen cheek and cringed.
“Damn it Brad, you didn’t have to punch me!”
“Well, if you took things seriously for once, maybe I wouldn’t have. Now get ready. I want you out of here in thirty minutes.”
I glared at him as he walked out of my room and closed the door behind him. Just great, now I have a swollen cheek from that asshole. I got up and walked to my bathroom to shower and get dressed. After a hurried check in the mirror, I pulled back my hair into a tight braid. I sighed when I caught a glance at my cheek, which was already turning a bright blue and purple. I guess this makes it look more real. I looked at my watch. Ten minutes left. I went back into my room and grabbed my stuff and proceeded to walk out into the living room.
When I got to the living room I saw Nagi sitting down in a chair, Farfarello sitting in his little corner messing with one of his knives, and the fearless leader, Brad sitting in his chair reading the newspaper. How typical. Nagi looked up at me with a non-typical look and came over to me.
“Good luck, Schu.”
I nodded to him and gave him my legendary smile. Then, after what would be called a “moment,” I walked out of the house and on towards my mission.
