Medea 31 ; 2400 hours ; CORPORATION Military Compound 09
Everyone has already left for their respective houses.......all was quite...... it was deafening.....suddenly the silence was broken by the soft thud of boots down the corridor leading to the only lighted room in the old military compound.......
Knock,Knock,Knock.......
\"Come in,\" the voice behind a massive chair commanded, the chair turn seated on it was Commander Takenori Akagi, leader of the secret defense forces created by the \"CORPORATION\".
\"2nd Lt. Rukawa why don\'t you take a seat,\" Commander Akagi order pointing to a chair across him.
The silent figure did as he was told sitting quietly across his commanding officer, waiting for his next mission.....
\"We missed you Lt. so how was your visit to Blue Atlantis?\" the General asked seriously.
The soldier smirked and said, \"Why don\'t we cut the bull shit and go straight to business,\"
The Commander glared
\"You want to know about my trip fine! why don\'t you just read the written report,\" Rukawa replied glaring back, his last mission for the CORPORATION almost got him killed by the rebels. Commander Uozumi almost caught him if not for his quick thinking, but even then they almost got him.
After a while there was only silence between them as both tried to stare the other down. Finally the contest produced a winner, when the lieutenant decided to leave.....
\"Where do you think you\'re going!\" the Commander asked staring grimly at the soldier\'s back
\"Out, you\'re wasting my time,\" the Lieutenant replied as he continued to walk out of the room.
\"Fine, I was hoping that this new mission would interest you, but if your too busy being a smart ass I think Lt. Mitsui might be a much more likely candidate,\" Akagi said his a smirk slightly forming in his lips.
Rukawa stopped in mid-stride as he heard his rival\'s name.....
And without so much as sound he turned and looked at his Commander, his eyes filled with anger. before he sat back down again.
\"This had better be good\" Lt. Rukawa muttered his eyes turning into slits.
\"Well as I have discovered you have been long over due for a vacation so the president ordered me to give you one,\" Akagi said waiting for the Lieutenant’s reactions.
\"Is that all?\" Rukawa replied his eyes expressionless.
\"Of course not, as I was saying, the CORPORATION is willing to give you a vacation but in exchange you would do a certain recognizant mission.\" the finished before giving the Lieutenant the mission files.
\"When do I begin\" Rukawa asked sifting through the almost empty folder
\"Meet me at the LEVEL 09 Compound at 2200 hours tomorrow, for further debriefing,\" the Commander finished
And without so much as a salute the Lieutenant left.
Amphitrite 05 ; 2300 hours ; Blue Atlantis Secret Compound
Knock,Knock,Knock.......
\"Come in\" the Commander ordered, his voice sounding hard and hollow in the empty building.
The door opened and within its portal a man with peculiar hair stood, his pearly white teeth flashing as he smiled at the Commander before saluting.
\"Ahh, 2nd Lieutenant Sendoh, finally you arrived,\" The Commander greeted his voice filled with sarcasm.
\"I’m sorry Commander I got lost.\" Sendoh replied giving the captain his most dazzling smile.
\"Save your explanations for later Lieutenant\" Commander Uozumi replied as he ordered Sendoh to sit.
\"So what\'s my next mission,\" Sendoh asked the smile vanishing from his face.
Without a word the Commander offered the mission file to the soldier. The room was once more filled with silence as Sendoh rifled through the file scanning it in the process.......
\"So let me get this, you want me to go undercover and put surveillance on Lieutenant Rukawa of Neo Japan?\" the Lieutenant asked surprised.
\"Yes. We have received Intel that the CORPORATION based in Neo Japan is being suspected of plotting another Apocalypse to take control of the new world, and according to the gathered information Lt. Rukawa is the key to knowing exactly what they are planning. You are there fore being assigned to watch and document the target\'s every move.\"
\"When do I leave,\" Sendoh asked his voice sounding excited.
\"You have exactly one hour to prepare, you are expected to leave the compound at 0100 hours.\"
\"Is that all, Sir?\" Sendoh asked preparing to stand
\"Actually no,\" Uozumi answered halting Sendoh from standing, \"There is certain information that I think you should know, that your files seems to not have,\" the commander continued, thoroughly captivating his audience.
\"And that is?\" Sendoh as intrigued.
\"I know I could trust you so I’m telling you this.....\" Uozumi paused before continuing,\" what your file seemed to omit is that a certain civilian named Hana Sakuragi is now living with the Lieutenant an-......\"
\"Are you telling me that this Rukawa is living with a lover,\" Sendoh asked, cutting the commander before he could finish.
\"We don\'t know yet, as you can see on these files,\" Uozumi replied giving Sendoh another set of folders,\" The only information we could get about her is that her name is Hana Sakuragi and that she was stationed to LEVEL 09 a few years back, and after that there where no longer any updates about her, aside from what I have told you none can be found about her,\"
\"Hhhhmmm, there seems to be not much of a data about her in here, not even a photograph. What makes you think she could make this mission easier for me,\" Sendoh asked curious.
\"I didn\'t give you the Intel for that purpose Lieutenant, I gave that information so that you could give us more data about her.\" Commander Uozumi ordered, his eyes looking straight into the Lieutenant’s.
\"I see, so do I get to do this job alone or are you giving me some help,\" Sendoh asked his smile not reaching his eyes.
\"Private Aida and Sergeant Koshino will accompany you in this mission.\"
\"Is that all Sir?\" Sendoh asked hoping that it would be the last.
\"Yes that will be all Lieutenant, you are dismissed,\" Commander Uozumi replied as Sendoh saluted him before leaving.
