CHAPTER THREE: Games at Dinner

K stared into his bathroom mirror and brushed his long hair, free for once of its black hair bobble.

He was making an extra effort that night because in around an hour’s time he would be joining the members of Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper, as well as Eiri Yuki and Sakano, for dinner at the Four Leaf Restaurant.

It had been Shuichi and Ryuichi’s idea. And when they had come to him, begging with big eyes, he could hardly say no. And so therefore he was going along, and he would be seeing Tohma for the first time since that incident in the men’s bathroom. Which, incidentally, had occurred at least four days ago.

Since then K had done his utmost best to forget that Tohma Seguchi even existed. Which was a hard task, the memories of what had transpired between them just wouldn’t go away. They haunted his dreams at night and make him wake up sweating, frightened and…aroused.

Sure, K hated himself for what he had done, what he had allowed to happen. But he couldn’t stop the way his body reacted to dreams could he?

With a sigh he finished brushing his blonde hair and put it back up in his usual ponytail. He checked his reflection in the mirror. He was wearing black jeans and a black shirt, unbuttoned at the collar. Black reflected his mood that evening: depressed.

Feeling tense and angry K decided he should probably let off some steam before he went to the restaurant. Grabbing his gun he stepped outside his apartment onto the balcony. He was on the highest floor and that suited him just fine. There was less chance that people would see him that way.

Looking down he picked a target: A group of girls giggling over a magazine.

BANG!

He shot and they scattered, the magazine falling to the ground.

BANG! He shot again and a teenage boy about to break into a car looked up in fear. K shot once more and the boy scampered away, looking like he wanted to pee his pants.
K laughed, his mood lightening considerably.

BANG! He shot randomly, remembering the look that had passed over Hiro’s face outside the bathroom. Ever since then Hiroshi had been watching him closely, his face unreadable. K wasn’t sure if Hiro was just concerned or if he knew something. He hoped to God that Hiro didn’t know anything. K thought he might just die if anyone were to find out about his humiliation.

BANG! BANG! K fired again. BANG! BANG! BANG!

Suddenly the phone rang. With a growl K shoved his gun back into its holster and walked inside to answer it.

“Hello?” he asked.

“Claude?” a woman’s voice replied. “Claude, its Judy, I have something to tell you.”

K frowned, was Michael ill?
“Is Michael ill?”

Judy laughed a little and K sighed in relief. “No he’s fine, it’s me Claude. I….” She broke off there for a moment and K held on intently, his eyes closed. He had a sinking feeling that he knew what was coming next.

“I want a divorce.”

K put the phone down. He couldn’t deal with that at the moment. He couldn’t deal with it…it was too much.

Just then the doorbell rang and K looked up. Robotically he grabbed his black jacket and opened the door. In front of him, wearing a red shirt and dark navy jeans stood Hiroshi Nakano.

“Hi!” Hiro said with a wide grin. “I know that Shu and Yuki said they would be picking you up but they called my around half an hour ago to tell me to get you instead. Apparently they’re a little *tied up*.”

K nodded dumbly, not willing himself to speak. Suddenly he really didn’t want to go out. But before he could say anything Hiro had herded him out of the apartment and into the elevator.

There they stood, Hiro humming quietly under his breath and K staring blankly ahead.

“You okay?” Hiro asked, looking at his manager strangely.

K nodded. No one needed to know that his wife was leaving him. Telling people would just make him weaker and that was the last thing he needed to be.

“Did you lose your gun?” Hiro asked suddenly as they stepped out of the elevator on the ground floor.

K’s head snapped round suddenly, his blue eyes wide with a tinge of, was that, fear?

Hiro frowned, thinking he should be careful of what he said. “It’s just, you didn’t have it a couple of days ago, when I met you outside the bathroom, and you’ve been using a different one ever since.”

Hiro didn’t think he’d ever seen anyone move so fast. In less that half a second K’s gun was out of its holster and aimed squarely at Hiro’s forehead.

“No I didn’t.” K said, his mouth set in a firm line. Hiro nodded and passed K a helmet.

“You have to put this on.” Hiro said.

K nodded and lowered the gun slowly before putting it back in its proper place. Then, without further ado he put the helmet over his head and waited for Hiro to get settled on the motorbike before climbing on behind him.

That had been a close call, too close for comfort. K was very sure that Hiro must know something, however slight, and that was terrifying him.

******************************************

They arrived at the restaurant around half an hour later. Everyone else was already there, apart from Yuki and Shuichi. K smirked, trust them to be late.

“K-SAN!” Ryuichi squealed, hugging the taller man around the waist. K stiffened and stepped back, he didn’t want anyone to touch him.

“What’s wrong?” Ryuichi asked mournfully, hugging Kumagoro.

K shook his head and managed a stiff smile. “Nothing.”

The brown haired singer smiled and turned to pester Hiro. Meanwhile K looked around at the chattering faces of Sakano and Noriko. He couldn’t see Tohma’s face as the other man was turned away from him. K was just fine with that, he wasn’t prepared for the feelings that seeing Tohma properly would bring.

A few seconds later Yuki and Shuichi pulled up in Yuki’s car. Shuichi was smiling madly as he hopped out and even Eiri had a smug little grin on his face.
It was then that Tohma turned around and K got a glimpse of his face. His expression was of rage, pure rage.

“Let’s go in!” Shuichi cried. They all nodded and walked inside the restaurant. It was nice enough inside, dim lighting and red walls. Everything looked very expensive and posh; somehow K couldn’t accept that it was Shu and Ryu who had chosen the destination.

A smiling waiter seated them at a long rectangular table in the far corner. It was K’s bad luck to find that he was seated directly opposite Tohma, and beside Hiro.

Gritting his teeth K blanked out all thoughts and emotions, he would not give in. He didn’t care about Judy, he didn’t care about Tohma. He could be stronger than both of them.

The dinner passed rather uneventfully through the starter and the main course. Shuichi and Ryuichi did the most talking and joking around. Even K had to crack a smile at their antics sometimes. As for Tohma, not once did he glance K’s way. It was as if the long haired man simply didn’t exist to him.

K didn’t know whether to feel relieved or hurt. And he hated himself for even debating it.

Towards the end of the night, when dessert (ice cream) had been eaten, Yuki reached across the table for Shuichi and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

K watched in disbelief as Ryuichi giggled. Yuki was obviously having no problems with public displays of affection anymore then. He glanced at Hiro, who smiled at him, feeling unnerved K looked across the table at Tohma who was watching Yuki and Shuichi with a twisted grimace on his face.

Realisation suddenly dawned on K, Tohma was jealous! Of course he would be jealous; he had been obsessed with Yuki for God knows how long. K grinned at his little discovery but he soon stopped as Tohma’s head turned and their eyes met.

K turned cold; Tohma had an unreadable expression on his face. K swallowed and looked away, he couldn’t bear it.

And then he felt it, a foot creeping up his leg, rubbing against his thigh.

K jumped, a choked noise sounding from his throat.

“Are you okay?” Hiro asked, looking at him in concern. K nodded, willing himself to relax.

But then Tohma’s foot moved even further up, brushing against K\'s rapidly hardening erection. K looked pleadingly across the table but Tohma wasn’t even looking at him anymore, he was listening intently to Ryuichi, an innocent looked on his face.

K gripped the arms of the chair tightly, what could he do? He made to stand up but Tohma shot him a look, a look that said ‘don’t you dare’. And so K gave in, he fought back moan after moan as Tohma’s foot rubbed against him under the table.

K knew he must be going red, he could feel it. He struggled to keep his breathing normal. K wanted to scream, why was Tohma doing this? He couldn’t stand it, but it felt so……
“Ohh...hh” K breathed, biting his tongue as Hiro turned to regard him once more.

The guitarist looked genuinely concerned for him and K could only watch in horror as Hiro’s grey eyes flickered over to Tohma who was calmly taking a sip of wine.
“K?” Hiro asked, but K couldn’t hear him, the pressure was too much, he needed, he needed to come.

As if Tohma could read his thoughts the man increased the pressure of his foot even more and K exploded into his pants, letting out a moan which he quickly turned into a cough.

Then Tohma’s foot was gone and Yuki and Shuichi were kissing again.

K shuddered and pushed his chair back sharply. All eyes turned to him.
“I….I feel sick.” He mumbled before turning and stumbling out of the restaurant. As he left he could feel Tohma’s eyes on him…and Hiro’s.

K practically ran out of the restaurant and hailed a Taxi as quickly as he possibly could. He wanted to go home and throw up. He wanted to shoot out of his balcony. He wanted to wake up and find the past few days had all been one horrid nightmare.
