A Friend or a Lover?

Chapter 3: A Friend or a Lover?

“Listen up, everybody,” K started, “we all know Shuichi-san is not in a good condition. We know this is hard for him and it’s also hard for us, but we still need to carry on even one is missing.” K pointed out.
“Hiro,” he called, “we’re going to do today your solo at one part of the album, and if we have time, we can also put in the instrumental we suggested yesterday.” he added.
Hiro and the others were quiet. None of them was in the mood to do any work, because everything doesn’t feel in the right place when Shuichi wasn’t around.
“Also, we have to work on some voices on the other songs, we can might as well learn them today…and, I have good news for you.” K began.

Sakano wanted to hide his smile, but his joyful heart about the news he got from Tohma yesterday made him forget.
K took a deep breath and announced,
“BAD LUCK is going to hold the biggest concert ever made in Tokyo.”
Everybody’s jaws dropped and in a few seconds, everybody became fascinated.
Fujisaki burst out with joy.
“After all those hard work,” he cried, “finally, it’s been high time, and now, WE’RE GOING TO PERFORM IN TOKYO.” Fujisaki screamed and Sakano went up to him and held his hands and they both cried in happiness, sharing what seems to be an eternal bliss for both of them.
“I know what you feel Fujisaki-san. And the best part is, it’s the biggest concert in the history of Tokyo!” they both sang like drunk men. Trumpet sounds were in the air, pop-outs were everywhere and a party was suddenly going on.

Everybody felt so delighted, excited and of course, happy with the news.

All except one.

Hiro went out of the studio and down the hallway until K followed him.
“Hiro!” he called out and approached him, “where are you going?” he asked.
“This isn’t the time for celebrating.” Hiro complained irritatingly, thinking about his best friend’s condition,
“I know, but you could at least pretend,” K commented “you can’t look lumpy all day. I mean, Yuki just called and told us Shuichi is doing fine. There’s no need to be gloomy.” K said in a cheerful voice.
“Exactly when is this concert?” Hiro asked, changing the subject.
“Oh, well let me see, FIVE WEEKS FROM NOW! Ohohohohoho!” K blurted out excitedly and marched like a happy lunatic.
“I’m worried.” Hiro said.
“What are you worried about?” K asked.
“Who else?” Hiro said and rolled his eyes heavenward, “you don’t understand. Shuichi was never really the gleeful person all the time.” he explained.
“Meaning?” K asked.

Hiro looked up to the sky. It was blue, bright blue with pearly white clouds, means no rain is coming, and the birds were everywhere.
It was the same picture he saw when he first met Shuichi.

“When the first time I met Shuichi, he was sitting in a corner, all alone in deep solitude while nobody seemed to want to play with him.” Hiro said, “I was two years older than him but I already had a crush on him.” Hiro confessed, and K grew interested at BAD LUCK’s guitarist’s story.
“Really? You had a crush on little’o Shuichi?” K asked for reaffirmation.
“He was such a loner… but when I started hanging out with him, some kids thought maybe he wasn’t such a loser after all. So one day, kids from nowhere started making friends with him.” Hiro told, as if feeling that Shuichi’s gain of friends was somehow a profound relief to Hiro as well.
“Okay…I think I get the picture, you were ‘the popular kid’ and since you were very famous, whoever were the people you hang out with should be just as friendly, cute and nice, isn’t that right? So that’s why everybody wanted Shuichi to be his best friend, am I right?” K assumed with a brow raising and a smile stuck on his face.
“Damn, you are good.”
“What did I tell ya?!” K boasted, and laughed like he was so great. (Well he is, actually)
“Anyway, to make the story short, sometimes some of those kids hurt him, and I would never forgive anyone who hurt Shuichi…so in some kind of way, I became his ‘protector’.” Hiro explained.
And then the story was finally beginning to make sense to K some more.
Hiro sighed and stared at the sky again.
“It had always been that way ever since Shuichi and I started BAD LUCK. I was his shield and he was my vulnerable child.” he added softly.
“We had a little fling but it didn’t last,” Hiro said, “I figured that what I only felt for him was no more than a big brother’s affection, and I believe that this was also the way sees me.” Hiro figured.
But somehow, K wasn’t prepared hearing about Shuichi and Hiro having a ‘fling’ in their past
“I guess you weren’t expecting that.” Hiro said when he saw the frozen face of K in front of him.
“Well, as the story goes on, we met Sakano-san and we got ourselves a contract with NG and the rest is history until,” Hiro stopped and then continued, “he came.”
“Who came?” K asked.
“Yuki Eiri came…when Shuichi met Yuki, everything changed…he started to feel more warmth from that guy and he felt that Yuki was the man who should be protecting him…not me.” Hiro said and sat on the bench near them.
K sat beside him and looked at him.
“So you’re telling me that you became jealous when Yuki and Shuichi started to have a relationship…?” K asked in an unsure tone.
“Definitely. I always thought that I should be the one to stand up as his big brother, and not him…besides,” he added. “I couldn’t trust Yuki that much back then, and I still feel the same way up to now…”
“The day I came to Yuki and told him to take care of Shuichi was the same day I gave my responsibility to him…it was like passing my obligation as a brother…that’s how I felt it.” Hiro confirmed, remembering the event like it was just yesterday.
“And now you’re not sure if you did the right thing because you have doubts about Yuki, is that it?” K assumed again,
“Right again…but I see he has changed, so I guess I shouldn’t feel so scared…I won’t deny it, I mean, I love Shuichi, he’s like a real brother to me, and I wouldn’t like it one bit if Yuki did something to hurt Shuichi.” Hiro said and stared blankly at the street.
“Damn…” K started and shook his head, “Shuichi sure is lucky to have a friend like you…you know, the only thing I can tell you is…” he said and broke off.
“Is what?”
“Just kill the bastard if he does something wrong to Shuichi, so that you’ll have your peace of mind.” K plainly said and after a few seconds, they unexpectedly started laughing.
“Get a hold of yourself, Hiro-chan” K advised, “Yuki would never leave that brat behind. He’s too much in love to break up with Shuichi, and I’m sure he’d never do anything to hurt Shuichi. It’s just not possible right now.”

(Author’s note: please remember this one paragraph unto the ending).

“Yuki…” Shuichi whispered as he tried to nudge Yuki awake, “Yuki…”
“Mmm…” was all Yuki said while he tried to get some sleep.
He was on top of Shuichi while they did it on the hospital bed. They did it again this morning and Yuki was too tired to move. He trapped Shuichi in his long muscular arms and his face right below Shuichi’s collarbone.
“Are you still sleepy?” Shuichi asked and kept brushing Yuki’s hair.
“Mmm…” Yuki moaned.
Shuichi smiled and embraced Yuki.
“I love you…” Shuichi whispered but Yuki didn’t say anything.
I guess he’s already asleep, Shuichi thought.
Shuichi closed his eyes and dreamed about him and Yuki.
What he didn’t know was that Yuki was still awake, and he was damn smiling.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

“I’ll be back in a few weeks.” Tohma said to Yuki over his cell phone at the airport.
“I see…take care, bring me gifts when you get back.” Yuki jested while he wore back his underwear.

It was already late at night and as usual, Yuki and Shuchi had some love making
before Yuki headed back home. It was just only at two in the morning when Tohma called and informed Yuki that he was going to Chicago to attend some important business affair.
“Tell Shuichi ‘hi’ from me,” Tohma said, “is he going to be fine?” he asked Yuki.
“Yeah…sure he will. He’s stronger than a horse.” Yuki joked.

Yuki joked, oh my God, Thoma thought. And not out of sarcasm!

“That’s good.” Tohma said and smiled at the other end of the line, “oh, my flight’s in, I have to go.” he hurriedly said,
“Okay, see you.”
“See you.”
Yuki turned off his phone, took his white polo and brushed his hair with his hand and went near Shuichi to lean down and kiss him.
“Sweet dreams…” he whispered and left.
Yuki went out of the hospital and into his car and drove off.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

“Gilfred,” the woman spoke over a phone, “did you get him in time?” the woman asked as she watched Yuki Eiri’s car drove off.
“Yes, Madame.”
“Good.”
“When will we move to the next part of the plan?” Gilfred asked.
“When Yuki Eiri is already home, do it.” The woman said.
“Very well…and you? What will you be doing?” Gilfred asked.
“I might be visiting my sister’s dreams tonight.” The woman said and watched her sister sleep from far away.
“Would you rather talk to her already? It’s about time you act.” Gilfred said.
“Don’t tell me what to do, baka.” The woman said.
Silence poured between the two of them, and then Gilfred spoke,
“Serena, when will you ever forgive me?” he asked, his voice bent in pain and sorrow.
“Until my sister is safely with us.” she said casually in such a plain tone, as if ignoring the man’s pleading and sorry statement.
“Serena, you know I did all I can to protect her.” Gilfred reasoned.
“Yes, she got herself bumped by a fucking car and got amnesia, and now she’s with a foster family, and an unworthy asshole, is that what you mean by doing your best in protecting her?” Serena said, her every word shooting like sharp ice to him.
“I had to let her run, they were all after us, and you goddamn know that!” Gilfred hissed.
“Well, well, look who’s talking, listen, you fucking knucklehead! If it weren’t for you, my sister wouldn’t be out there dying!” Serena exclaimed, “She’s with a different family and it’s all because you screwed up your job. Now she’s in love with that sick, sad bastard and that’s just one huge problem we have to change!” she shouted,
“If you don’t shut up and do the things I tell you instead of talking like you’re some kind of damn hero, maybe you can make all our lives easier, you got that?” she added venomously, “I don’t want to hear from you until you finish the next step. “ Serena finished, slammed the phone down, and stormed outside the room.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

“We have to do it…”

Shuichi was dreaming.

He was inside the little girl’s body again. And in this dream the child was hiding and peeking at something inside a room.
He could hear voices…it was a man’s voice, and he was talking to someone.
“Why did it have to be this way, Akano?” a woman’s voice spoke as she cried endlessly.
“You have to keep yourself together, Sakura. Our children need us to be strong. We need to be brave for them…” the man said and patted his wife’s back.
“Father.” A young woman spoke, “we have to do it as soon as possible. We’re running out of time.” she said softly.
“Yes, yes…” the father of the young woman said, “have you contacted the others?” the man asked.
“Yes, father. Dimitri and Estephan are on their way… they’ll be here in a few minutes…” the woman said.
“Good…” the man said and suddenly, the man caught a glimpse of the child hiding from a corner.
“What’s my little girl doing here?” he asked and smiled.

Shuichi saw himself, as the little cherub with pink long hair, running towards the old man.

“Papa, why is mama crying?” the little girl asked in her tiny lovely voice.
The beautiful young woman with green eyes smiled down at her and kneeled closer to her.
“Our mama’s got something in her eye…but my angel, why are you still awake?” the young woman asked.
“I couldn’t sleep.” The child announced, looking back and forth from her parents to the young woman with emerald eyes.
“Do you want me to sleep with you tonight?” the young woman asked.
The little cherub nodded and yawned as the young woman picked her up and carried her in her arms.
“Call me in my room when they arrive, mother. I’ll put her to sleep first. She needs me.”

And then everything went blank.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Yuki arrived at the condominium in an hour after he left Shuichi at the hospital. It was raining hard and the traffic was killing his patience.
When he got home, the first thing he did was to take a shower, and then he cooked some food and decided he should bring something for Shuichi tomorrow.
He wanted to stay with Shuichi, but he wanted to leave the boy for a while…

For his sake and the boy’s.

He couldn’t stand it anymore when he knows that he can’t find the answers from Shuichi yet. If he tried to do that, Shuichi would often faint, and then he’ll have to rest and try to recover. Sometimes his head bleeds when he tries to remember it, and Yuki feels guilty because he thought he might be pressuring the boy too much.
Why does he even care about that little brat anyway? He asks himself.
Isn’t he just a toy? A fling to him?
Yeah, a fling.
But how come they’re living under one roof and survived in one full year?
Is that what you call a ‘fling’? He asked his self again.

For the past few days, Yuki was feeling something else, and he would sometimes see his self smiling all of a sudden when Shuichi pops into his mind, or when he remembers anything funny about the boy.
It just makes him smile, and then all of a sudden the loneliness was all gone…
For years, he had been haunted by his past. Every morning, every night, every minute that passes by, his past was always like a shadow to him, following him everywhere he goes—even in his dreams.

But when the boy came, everything changed.

The first time he met Shuichi at the park, he felt a weird pang in his chest. It was like an unknown chemistry building up inside of him…but the feeling of loneliness and guilt from his past still overwhelmed him, and just couldn’t forget his past.
But Shuichi changed all that. Following him at New York, shouting that he’s his at a concert, wearing a damn sailor’s uniform with a clip!
All those things just for him… but why?
That was one question he wanted to ask the boy for the longest time.
Why him? Of all the people, why him?
He knows that Shuichi loves him. Shuichi whispered that to him the other night.
But if Shuichi is expecting Yuki to say the same thing, Yuki could never say that.
Because that’s one thing he can never feel for anybody. Not even for Shindou Shuichi.
It’s just not possible.

Right?

Yuki recalled that he was baking something in the oven and heard the alarm went off. He took out his mittens and carried the brownies he made for Shuichi tomorrow.
All of a sudden, the doorbell rang.
“Just a moment!” he shouted and took of his mittens and strode towards the door.
“Who i—
He stopped short when he saw Tohma all wet, carrying his belongings and smiling at him.
“You don’t happen to have a spare room in there, do you?” he asked.
“Tohma!” Yuki exclaimed and immediately opened the door wide for his friend.
“I’m so sorry for disturbing you, Yuki…I just had nowhere else to go.” Tohma said.
“That’s okay…sit over there and I’ll bring you some towels.” Yuki pointed out and hurriedly went to his room to fetch it.
Tohma stood there and started pacing around, observing all the things around him.
“Here.” Yuki offered and surprised him from behind.
“Thank you.” Tohma nodded in gratitude and reached out to take it, and wiped his cold wet face with it.
They both sat down, beside each other, while Yuki waited for Tohma to explain.
“Tohma, what happened? Why are you soaking wet? And what happened to your flight? To your ‘business affair in Chicago’?” Yuki asked almost teasingly.
“One questions at a time,” Tohma joked, “actually, my meeting in Chicago was cancelled. So naturally I decided to go back home, and then I remembered that Mika and I had a fight and unfortunately for me, whenever we fight, she locks our doors and she would never let me in.” Tohma said and continued,
“I was running out of cash and the whole airport was like hell.” He said, “the cabs were all full and I couldn’t get any ride. Everywhere was crowded, so I thought of walking instead, but then I wouldn’t have anywhere to stay.” He continued, “I wanted to go to a hotel but the nearest hotel was three to four and a half miles away and I was running out of cash,” he reasoned, “I think I only got three hundred yen left…and I even forgot my ATM card,” Tohma said and chuckled, “so I decided to go to your place instead since it’s only two kilometers away. And I’m sure three hundred yen would be enough to cover my transportation.” He finished and stood up.
“That’s one hell of a long story you got there.” Yuki teased.
“I know, hey, can I use your bathroom?” he asked.
“Sure.”
“Thanks, where is it?” he asked.
“Turn left, head straight, then take the door from the right corner.” Yuki pointed.
“Huge place you got here…” Thoma teased back and took a few clothes with him.

Yuki decided to prepare something for his unexpected visitor. He got some cocoa from the cabinet in his kitchen and started making a hot chocolate drink for Tohma. He got some vegetable burger out of the freezer and a beer for himself.
He took out a cigarette and decided to watch some TV while he waited for Tohma to come out.
Yuki heard Tohma coming out of the bathroom, but he didn’t try to look behind. He just continued to glue his eyes on the TV and kept inhaling his cigarette.
“Yuki…” Tohma spoke from behind in a weird different tone.
Yuki turned around and almost gasped.
Yuki wasn’t so sure if there was something wrong with Tohma or if this is just his usual sleeping outfit but, he seemed to be inclined for some ‘action’ tonight.
“What’s for midnight snack?” Tohma asked and sat beside Yuki on the couch.
Yuki automatically stood up as soon as Tohma sat down, ignoring the fact that his friend was wearing a very, very loose pink sheer shirt that exposed his left shoulder, and of course, his flesh, and some black short shorts that might have probably belonged to his sister.
“I prepared some hot cocoa for you.” Yuki said and fetched it.
He placed it down on the table in front of the couch and then he sat back down.
“Thanks.” Tohma said and took it in his hands.
For a moment they were both silent and staring at the TV.
Yuki seemed to be absorbed to the news while
Tohma was absorbed with something else.
“Yuki…” he started.
“Hmmm?” Yuki asked, still looking at the screen.
“Yuki…” this time Tohma went closer to Yuki, and his face was inches from Yuki’s.
“Hmm?” Yuki asked again, still not looking back.
Finally Tohma leaned closer to Yuki and licked his earlobe.
Yuki reacted like lightning, his eyes narrowed and he looked more horrified than surprised.
“Did you like that, Yuki?” Tohma asked with a seductive smile on his face, “you used to like that when we would make love before, I still think you like it up to now…” Tohma said and began twirling his finger on Yuki’s shoulder.
“Is Shuichi really better of a lover than I am?” he asked.
Yuki was too stunned to speak. Too stunned to move either.
“I can still make you feel that way…” Tohma added, already leaning to Yuki, “if you’ll just let me…” he said and went lower to Yuki’s pants.
“Tohma!” Yuki shouted, “what are you doing?!” he said, pulling away from Tohma.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m trying to make love to you…” Tohma said and took off his shirt, “if you’ll just cooperate, maybe we can make this easier.” Tohma said and crawled on top of Yuki.
“No!” Yuki shouted and pushed Tohma away.
Thoma fell down with a loud thud on the floor. He was facing the floor and he started to cry softly.

Yuki didn’t understand what was happening. What was wrong with Tohma? Yes it’s true, they did have a relationship before, but it was only a misunderstanding, some sort of misconception.
“Tohma…” Yuki said and went closer to him, “I’m sorry, I di—
“Why?” Thoma started, his eyes looking cold and anguished, “why did you leave me behind?” he asked.
“Tohma, what are you saying?” Yuki asked.
“Did you think that it was easy for me to forget our relationship?”
It all became clear to Yuki now and he shook his head,
“That was a misunderstanding—
“Misunderstanding?” Tohma hissed with his eyes narrowing, “all those moments we shared together, all the love we made…you think that was a misunderstanding?” Tohma cried, and placed his hand over his mouth.
“It’s not like that,” Yuki said exasperatingly, “I always thought you and I were only brothers.” He said. “It was great that way…we wouldn’t have to worry about anything and we were always there for each other,” he said, “it felt more compatible to be your best friend—
“Best friend?! Yuki, have you forgotten all those things we’ve spent together?” Tohma asked in a hurt, disappointed way, “I was always there for you, caring for you when you were sick o-or down, and you always appreciated me that way, and you even kissed me—
“I told you it was a misunderstanding!” Yuki roared. Yuki’s head was pounding. He sat down on the couch and shook his head with his hands on his face.
“I was confused…I didn’t have anyone else but you… you’re right, you always stayed by my side, never left me alone, and guarded me like a real brother, but Tohma,” he started, looking at him, “it was a mistake for me to make you feel that way…I was wrong, I wasn’t thinking well, my mind was all blurred and I wanted someone to understand…” Yuki explained, too confused to think straight because of all the happenings that had been occurring lately.
First, his questionable feelings towards Shindou Shuichi.
Second, Shuichi’s amnesia.
And third, this.

Thoma leaned over and knelt in front of Yuki.
“Yuki, we can still make it together, we can do this…” Tohma said, “if we have done it once, we can do it again. And I know you still have feelings for me, even just a little care…I want to make you love me as much as I love you…” Tohma said, and then he continued,
“I can help you,” Tohma added, “if you’ll just let me go through that hard shell of yours like once…” Tohma’s voice trailed off as he gazed at the clothing that hid Yuki’s very heat.
Yuki leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes. What was happening?

What they both didn’t know was that someone was nearby. Across the street, in another building…a stranger holding a camera with its lenses zooming in. It took several shots of them with that position.

“Yuki…” Tohma said and began to unbutton Yuki’s pants. He pulled it down and finally took off Yuki’s underwear.
“I’ve always dreamt of doing this again…” Tohma whispered and lowered his head to the object of his attention.

The sound of the clicking of the camera went out again. The stranger took so many pictures of them with different angles.

Something was wrong, Yuki felt. This isn’t just right, He thought.
Yuki pushed Tohma’s head away but Thoma refused. He placed his hands around Yuki while he continued.
“Tohma, stop…” Yuki said but all Thoma did was moaned.
It just went on like that until Yuki lost his temper.
He pushed Tohma with pressure and Thoma fell on the floor again
“What’s wring with you?!” Yuki shouted in anger while he watched Tohma’s lazy smile cover his damn face.
Tohma stood up and wiped the liquid off of his fingers and licked it one after the other.
“That was really fun,” Tohma said, “but I’m not yet finished, would you like to continue?” He asked.
“Stop it, goddamnit! What’s going on with you?! This is wrong!” Yuki shouted and pulled back his underwear and his pants.
“Get out.” Yuki said in a trembling tone.
“What?” Tohma asked, becoming startled.
“I said get out!” Yuki shouted and opened the door for him.
“Hmph,” Tohma said and laughed, “Very well,” he sighed. “but I’ll meet you again, and next time, I promise you, we’ll have a better time together and you won’t forget it.” he said.
Yuki’s temper got loose and began throwing Tohma’s baggage outside the room.
Tohma got completely irritated and took his shirt sprawled on the floor.
“Fine!” Tohma said and stormed out of the room.
Yuki shut the door close and bolted it. He kicked it and cursed something in anger.

“Too late.” the stranger said and laughed while he packed his camera back in his bag.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

“I got some strawberry pocky for you,” K beamed at Shuichi and handed the sweet over to him.
“Arigato!” Shuichi shouted and gobbling the food with complete merriment.
Hiro was there to visit Shuichi too, and so was Fujisaki and Sakano.
“So…” Fujisaki started, “what did the doctor say about your condition?” he asked.
“Oh that,” Shuichi said and gulped down his food first, “he said I can leave tomorrow, because I’m already fine…he’s just having some run-downs and some other tests, but he said I can already go.”
Hiro was standing over the window and then he looked at Shuichi.
“Shuichi,” Hiro called, “don’t you ever close the blinds?” Hiro asked while he watched the streets outside.
“No,” Shuichi said, “I like looking up at the clouds at night, it’s really nice and pretty.” Shuichi mentioned and took another large bite.
“Shuichi-san,” Sakano butted in, “there’s something you should know.” he said, his face looking so pale and gloomy.
“What’s wrong?” Shuichi asked with a worried look, already feeling sympathy for whatever Sakano was about to say.
Actually, it wasn’t only Sakano who looked so affected, everybody else were.
Everyone fell silent for a while, and Shuichi can tell by the looks of them that something was terribly wrong…
“BAD LUCK IS GOING TO PLAY THE BIGGEST CONCERT IN TOKYO!!!” all of them shouted in unison with fireworks booming, with pop-outs in their hands, accompanied by loud trumpets—not to mention a pair or marching idiots: Sakano and K.

Shuichi felt he could kill somebody.

“Shuichi, aren’t you surprised?” Fujisaki asked.
Everybody noticed the huge vein bulging out of Shuichi’s head,
“…You’re damn right I’m surprised!!!” Shuichi shouted in rage and tried to kick Fujisaki’s face.
“Shuichi,” K called, suddenly looking so serious, “we’re going to rehearse and record your other songs as soon as you get out of this hospital, you got that?” he said with a thumb up.
“Mm!” Shuichi nodded and made a piece sign.

“Serena,” Gilfred spoke, “the job’s done.” He said.
“Good…was it clean?”
“Crystal.”
“And the photos?”
“It’s here.”
“Any other information you would like to say?” Serena asked.
“A question actually.” Gilfred said.
“What?”
“What happens next?” he asked and Serena just smiled.
“Leave that,” she paused, “to me.”
