Chapter #3

A/N: hidey! ’Sup? Not many reviews… that makes me sad and makes me not want to write more, but I d anyway. *sigh* such is the life of an author. Reviews=good. Keep that in mind. For the two that did review my responses are at the bottom of the page.

Disclaimer: (does anyone actually read this? Please tell me.) everyone knows that I’m not creative enough to come up with some thing as awesome as One Piece.

Warnings: Yaoi. Fluff. Pointlessness(is that a word). Possible OOC.

Important info: this one takes place in the Buggy Arc.

Chapter #3

One of my hands is placed on my side as if I can stop the bleeding by just holding the wound. I know I can’t. Luffy’s gotten us into a fine mess and gotten himself into the heaviest goddamn cage I‘ve ever laid eyes on. The explosion caused by the cannon fire gave me enough time to escape from the tavern’s roof to a rooftop not that far away. I’ll try and get us to the street below as soon as a catch my breath.

Captain clangs around the cage in a fruitless attempt to free himself. I should have gotten the key, but it hard to think that far ahead when your bleeding profusely. There’s got to be another way to get him out of there. My eyes watch him as he fights his confinements. Who knows? Maybe he’ll find a way out. He’s defiantly trying. The teeth marks on the bars are actually quite freighting. Then again so is the situation he was in when he made those marks. Not everyone could take getting a lit cannon pointed at them.

I could have lost him back there. I owe that thief for saving him. She must be pretty tough to put out a fuse with her bare hands. Luffy says she’s our navigator, but she yelled at him for saying it. He’s very stubborn when it comes to picking out his crew and I’d say that he’s not going to give up until she’s joined.

The voices of Buggy’s crew can be heard all the way down the street. They’re looking for us. I have to get him away from here. We have to find someplace to hide and then come up with someway to get him out of this stupid cage. Why the hell would Buggy randomly have an iron cage lying around anyway? It doesn’t matter. I’ll find a way to get him out. I have to.

“Zoro.”

I turn to face him. It’s odd to see him without his normal smile. Instead he actually looks concerned.

“Hn?” I don’t even try to manage words just a grunt to let him know I’m listening.

“You okay?”

Any other person would assume that I wasn’t okay due to the fact that I was just stabbed in the back, but I guess he just has to ask. Idiot. He should worry about himself. He’s the one in trouble now. He’s the one stuck in the cage. All I need is some sleep and I’ll be right as rain or whatever that expression is. His eyes seem to bore holes in me making it clear that if I lie he’ll know.

“I’m… I’ll be fine.” My wounds do need some time to heal, but I’ve been though worse. I’m more worried about my reputation right now.

“Don’t worry! I’ll cobber him for you!” He lights up again and soon enough he’s wearing a smile. Idiot. Like I need him to ‘clobber’ someone for me. Although for some reason his comment makes me smile a little and whisper something along the lines of ‘”thanks” and hope he didn‘t hear me.

His smile shines up at me though the small gaps in-between the iron bars. Suddenly my face feels really hot. What the hell?! AM I BLUSHING!?! DEAR GOD! What is wrong with me!?

Everything from my core tells me to look away or put my hand over my face or something to hide the ever growing red blur that now dominates most of my cheeks, but I can’t convince my body to cooperate. So I just sit there looking at him with somewhat of a smile on my face.

My body starts to lean it toward him, but I’m not causing it. It’s like it has a mind of it’s own. This can not be happening. Roronoa Zoro, the feared ex-pirate hunter, cannot be acting like a giddy schoolgirl. It’s just so wrong on so many levels! We’re both guys and I barley know him! But yet I don’t try and stop it from happening either.

His breath hits my lips and my breath quickens. I feel my heart pound against my ribcage as I realize he must be leaning in too. Is he feeling the same thing I am? What the hell am I feeling anyway?

“OW!!!”

His hands fly up to his face when he falls backwards after hitting his head on the metal bars of the cage. With lightning fast speed I pull away. What was I thinking!? It was the blood loss. Yep, that’s got to be what caused it. There wasn’t any real cause or emotion.

Was there?

--------------------------------------
A/N: teehee… I’m evil. Sorry all. I know you want me to put some action up on the screen, but please allow me these little bits of silliness every once in a while. Wow these chapters are short. Maybe the next one should be longer….maybe. Okay. Review responses. (reviews make me write faster)

Noriko Sakuma: do you really think I’m doing a okay job in Zoro’s POV? Really? I thought I sucked at this. Tell me honestly. I lurv ya!

Reyn: DON’T EXPLODE! OH PLEASE DON’T EXPLODE! You review. You must stay alive. *ahem* now that that’s over with. The second chapter is a whole lot like the first chapter mainly because they took place at the same time. (or that’s my excuse) thank you for reviewing!!!

Reviews= yes please
Advice=sure
Criticism= why not?
Flame= bring it on.
