Of Blood and Tears

It was late the next day when Eiri finally took a rest from writing and slept. He had been up for nearly two days. After sleeping he got something to eat and grabbed a cup of coffee before returning to his laptop to write more. He turned on the radio and sat down booting up his comp. He stared at the screen as it went through its thing to start up not really listening to the music that soon melted into comercials. He sipped his coffee and opened the story he was working on and set his fringers on the keyboard yet again.

He kept on writing through the evening listening to the radio. He saved what he wrote and leaned back in his chair lighting a cigerette. It was time for a short break. He inhaled the smoking wamt nicotene filling his lungs. when he exhaled the song changed yet again and this time a familiar voice filled the room. It was Shuichi's voice and it stoped the novelist in his tracks nrealy dropping his cigerette. It was a new song, one Eiri had never heard. Shuichi's voice seemed diffrent yet the entire song was diffrent from all the others.

The song was dark and depressing. He never thought the pink haired baka could write songs like that. He had to admit to himself and no one else...it was a good song....the best the he ever heard from the baka. Yet he could guess what made him write it. Not even a week ago he had thrown the annoying boy out of his home and life.

"He's gotten a bit better.." He muttered ignoring something that ate at his heart. He would never admit it...he did miss Shuichi's voice. His singing that is.

Shuichi laid in bed staring at the ceiling, a razor in his left hand. His right arm was bloody, so bloody you couldn't see any of the cuts that oozed the red liquid. He was shaking slightly from crying and breathing ragidly. He sat up and slipped from the beg cradling his arm as he walked as quietly to the bathroom as he could. Once safely there he began to clean and bandage his arm. He would have to wear a long sleeve tomarrow if he went to work.

The entire time he was in the bathroom and even on his way back to his room tears stiff stained his face. It would be a sleepless night for Shuichi. Hiro could hear Shuichi's small sobs as he laid in bed awake. He sighed as he stood and went out to the kitchen as Shu's door shut. He hated the way his best friend was now, but he hated Eiri even more for doing this to him.

"Baka novelist....so selfish. He doesn't even care about Shu." Hiro muttered to himself as he walked back to his room with a glass of water.

Shuichi was glad that it was autom the next morning. No one would be suspicious about his long sleeved shirt and jeans. He hadn't slept at all that night for if he did he would have dreamed of Eiri. He looked paler then usual as he walked with Hiro to the doors of the NG building. He sighed and yawned as they walked in meeting Suguru who had also just arrived. K was walking through the hall towards them.

Shuichi smiled trying to act normal when everyone was around him and asking him how he was doing. They where unaware of a blonde haired man walking out of the elevator that had just come from Tohma's office. Shuichi hit Hiro when he poked him in the side getting a loud squeek from his friend causing Shuichi to look down the hall unwillingly.

Shuichi froze when he met a pair of cold, golden eyes. He couldn't say anything as he stood under Eiri's peircing stare. He couldn't even look away when he felt the tears begin to fill his eyes. He had wanted today to be a good day, but that was a wish that wasn't fufilled.

Eiri just stared at Shuichi taking in how diffrent he looked. he noticed he was paler and the bags under his once sparkling eyes. He sighed slightly and looked away from his ex-lover before saying. "You're in my way." in his unemotional tone.

Shuichi felt his heart break even more as Eiri spoke those words. He shook now as the sobs tried to break free. "I-I'm...sorry...Yuki..." he managed to say stepping out of Eiri's way looking at his feet.

Eiri glanced at Shuichi before walking past the others who stood silent. Suguru said nothing as he looked sadly at Shuichi. K and Hiro were pissed as they watched Eiri leave. Shuichi didn't even look up when he heard the door close, letting Eiri's departure be known to the quiet hall.

Hiro walked over to Shuichi and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Shu...."

Shuichi knocked Hiro's hand off his shoulder and ran down the hall towards the closest empty room locking the door once inside. He slid down the door sobs tearing through his body as he held his knees against his chest rocking back and forth trying to calm himself with no avail.

"Y-yuki...you...bastard..." Shuichi hiccuped.

He couldn't stay there. he wanted to be alone in his room. He stood and slid from the room and running out of the building. He ran all the way back to Hiro's and could barely get his key in the door. When he did he instantly ran into the bathroom and grabbed the razor that he hid under the sink. He pulled off his shirt and didn't bother with the bandages as he cut deep into his arm in one quick slice. Again and again he did this to both his arms and even his legs until he was covered in his own blood. He just sat alone and bloody as each cut finally ceased their bleeding. It was two hours before he stood and took a bath to wash away the blood before Hiro returned. Even when Hiro did come home Shuichi didn't eat a bite that night despite Hiro's pleas.

"Please Shu. You need to eat something."

Shuichi shook his head and spoke quietly through his door. "I'll eat something tomarrow..."

Hrio sighed and tried again but got no reply.
