Chapter Three: Explanations

Everyone gathered into the living room and waited for the girl�s explanation on how she knew them by their names.

�Well you see I�m not from here, I come from a different dimension and in the dimension this world, all of you, Black Ghost is just a cartoon, none of you exist there.�

�Okay, lets say what you are saying is true, what would Black Ghost want with you?� 004 asked.

�Like I said where I come from this is all a cartoon and I�ve seen every episode of this show so I know everything that happened and is about to happen. Before I was captured, two of Black Ghost�s henchmen mentioned the fact that since I knew everything that was going to happen Black Ghost wanted to turn me into a cyborg so that way he could control me and make me tell him everything that was going to happen. I got angry with them and punched them in the stomach and began to run home. Before I could get there though, I was hit in the head by something and was knocked unconscious; then the next thing I know I�m strapped down to a table and I heard Black Ghost talking to me. He told me that I was now known as cyborg 0020 and was impressed that I knew who he was. I then insulted him, which pissed him off, and he ordered the scientists to shut me down. Well I didn�t like that idea so again I became angry and I blew the lab up and ran; that�s when I heard 001 tell me where to go and how to meet up with the rest of you.� She looked around the room and saw that everyone was still skeptical. �I can see you all still need some convincing so why don�t you pick someone and I�ll tell you something about them.�

�All right tell us about 004.� 007 called out.

�Okay. Let�s see, 004�s real name is Albert Heinrich. He is considered a walking arsenal because every part of his body has been equipped with a weapon. His right hand houses a machine gun, his left hand houses a laser knife, and he can fire missiles from both knees. 004 is originally from Germany but he then left.� She explained.

The room remained silent as everyone looked at her with shocked expressions on their faces.

004�s face not only held amazement but also relief as he was glad that this girl did not reveal anything about his wife or how he �left� Germany.

�That�s amazing, the only person we know that knows all that stuff is Dr. Gilmore.� 006 explained.

�Yeah well if you ask me it still all sounds fishy to me. How do we know that she�s not part of some plan Black Ghost came up with to destroy us?� 002 asked not trusting her at all.

�Simple if that was true you all would be dead besides, I knew you wouldn�t believe what I told you, I believe you said once that you don�t trust anyone, you never even trusted you own parents.�

002 glared at her and let out a humph.

�So Black Ghost captured you hoping that if he controlled you, you would tell him every move we make.� 008 reiterated.

�That�s correct.�

�You know it�s weird that you know everything about us but we know nothing about you.� 005 pointed out.

�I�m sorry, so what do you want to know first?� She asked.

�Well for starters why don�t you tell us your name?� 009 asked.

�My name is Jamie aka 0020 but I don�t like being called by my number. In fact if you call me by number I won�t answer you, it makes me feel like a thing and I�m not a thing I�m a person.� She explained to them.

(See I told you she has a name I just had to wait for the right moment to reveal it J
002: Well it�s about time. S.A.P.: Oh shut up!)

�Well how come you�re not wearing our uniform?� 002 asked.

Jamie looked at what she was wearing and sure enough she was not wearing the red uniform, instead she was wearing the outfit she had on when she was captured. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans; a black t-shirt that read Your lips keep moving but all I hear is blah, blah, blah; white new balance sneakers; her jean jacket and her New York hat. �I guess they wanted to pass me off as a normal person.�

�Well if you will all excuse me I�m going to go in the kitchen and finsh making dinner.� 006 got up and headed towards the kitchen.

�Would you like any help?� Jamie asked.

�Thank you, but no that�s quite all right.�

�003 why don�t you show Jamie around the house?� Dr. Gilmore suggested.

�All right.� The two girls then left the group.

�I believe she can be trusted.� 007 said once the girls had left.

�Yeah, I like her.� 009 agreed.

�Well I still think it�s some kind of trap.� 002 stubbornly said.

�Jamie�s right you don�t trust anyone.� 004 pointed out.

[Jamie was right when she said if she was sent to destroy us we would all be dead. She has enormous power in fact she is more advanced that you 009.] 001 explained to the group.

�Dinner is ready.�

�004 would you please get the girls?� Dr. Gilmore asked.

�All right.� He then got up and left. He went upstairs where he found the two girls come out of 003�s room talking.

�Oh hey Albert, you don�t mind that I call you by your name do you?� Jamie asked as she saw him walk towards them.

�No, I don�t mind. The doctor sent me to tell you that dinner is ready.�

�Thanks.� 003 said and they all started walking towards the dinning room.

004 grabbed Jamie�s arm causing her to stop.

�What�s up?�

�I just wanted to say thank you for not telling anyone about Hilda or how I left Germany.�

�Hey it wasn�t my place to tell them that. I figured if you want them to know you�ll tell them.� She explained.

004 smiled in appreciation.

�It�s about time you three got here.� 006 grinned.

�Sorry.� Jamie apologized.

�Chinese food again?� 004 asked.

�You have a problem with that?� 006 asked.

�It�s just that day in and day out all we have is Chinese and quite frankly I�m getting tired of it.�

006 glared at 004 but before he could say anything Jamie interrupted.

�Well if Chang doesn�t mind I�ll make breakfast tomorrow.� She offered.

The group, minus 003 and 004, was shocked yet again at the fact that this girl called 006 by his name and not by his number.

Seeing the looks on their faces she went and explained. �I figured you�d all like to be called by your names instead of the numbers.�

�Sure.� The group agreed.

�If you want to make breakfast tomorrow then go right ahead.� 006 told her.

�So since you know what�s going to happen are we ever going to defeat Black Ghost?� 008 asked.

�Yes you will. How and when I won�t say since I really don�t want to mess things up.�

�I see.� Dr. Gilmore nodded.

�Thanks for letting me bunk in with you.� Jamie said from where she was lying on the spare bed.

�No problem, it�s nice to have another girl around to talk to and since it�s just the two of us I want to know if there is someone in the group that you really like.� 003 asked.

Jamie blushed slightly. �Well yeah I like someone.�

�Oh tell me.�

�Jet.�

�You like Jet?!� 003 asked.

�Shh, not so loud and don�t you dare tell anyone otherwise I�ll tell everyone about your crush on Joe.�

003 was speechless. �How did you know?�

�You forget my dear Francoise, I know everything.�

�All right if you won�t tell I won�t tell deal?�

�Deal.� The two girls shook on it and then giggled.

�Would you mind telling me who you have fought so far?� Jamie asked.

�Sure.� 003 then told her everything from the first meeting of 0010 to how they had just come back from London.

�All right. Thanks.� Jamie grinned as she tried to hold back a yawn.

�Well good night Jamie.� 003 said as she turned the light out.

�Goodnight Francoise.�
