I do not own Hellsing, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Three
It was a grotesque situation, Arthur thought, eying the two figures before him most angrily.
“He practically indeed seduced and raped me,” said the vampire with a very smug expression on her face, taking great interest in the tips of her outstretched gloved left hand. “I did obey your orders for the mission best I could without hurting him.”
Of course Arthur was aware that this last statement was a lie…
A slightly uncomfortable Walter was shifting in his chair.
Their master was fuming. He bowed to the girl lavishly seated on a chair in his working chamber. “You can’t rape the willing!”
“Oh indeed, master?” The girl looked up, her big red eyes radiating pure innocence. “May I put these words to good use when arguing about the original case you called us here for.”
Indeed had Arthur Helling three days before mused why his best killer felt ill and could not come to work the second day, but refused to see the doctor. When paying him a visit he knew at first glance basically what happened in that room. The giveaway was the worn face of the young man. To diagnose a great blood loss was among the first things his father had taught Arthur. He did not need to actually see the bite marks to know.
He immediately had sentenced Alucard to further experiments of the nasty kind he had spared for such an occasion and caged him in by his strict orders for the days (and nights!) being until Walter was well enough to get up. He’d also forced Walter to see the doctor pronto.
The doctors report had really shocked him most of all. Not only had Walter lost lots of blood and sported a badly hurt shoulder, but he had also severe injuries upon his backside (and almost killed the doc trying to find out about it). Arthur had been baffled – Alucard had never before shown sexual interest in anyone, as far as Arthur knew, that was. And well, apart from trying to seduce his master lately…
At the very moment Arthur felt the little interrogation in his working chamber went deadly wrong, as the vampire cockily sported his girl form openly in the presence of Walter, obviously enjoying the effect this had on both humans and the bonus of being small and fragile and attractive. His arguments would have been quite laughable in his usual male form. And he was answering almost all questions painfully truly, telling a lot more than asked for and not spearing details, Arthur Hellsing would have given his best Whisky for, if he would not have to hear them.
So it had not been their first sexual contact, their mission in Europe seemed to have had a side effect…oh my…!
It was not only the image of the girly form of his vampire having sex with the underage boy in his care (because in his opinion the boy had been quite too shy with girls until very recently) – it was mostly the dawning knowledge, that he had made this connection between the human and the immoral monster possible by ordering Alucard to take this form…it just was a complete disaster!
So Walter had been willing?
“Is this true, Walter?”
The young man sighed, obviously musing what to say, then grinned slightly, “Yeah, I guess it’s true. And the worst thing is that I do not regret it. Both times!” And he held his head up proud.
`Good lord, what nerve`, Arthur thought, `what shall I do with him? Obviously I can’t let this go on! I can not send him away or even let him go away on his own accord in order to keep our secrets. And I doubt any of the other soldiers is able to kill him. And I cannot let the bloody vampire kill him, because he would proudly take it as a special treat. Damn!`
Softly he said, “You could have died in this.”
“Oh yes,” the girl mockingly volunteered to help, “or you could die in it the next time!”
Walter couldn’t suppress his grin fast enough…
“STOP IT!” Arthur roared.
“Oh dear…that means dungeons again, does it, master?”
And this indeed sent his master over the edge. He forgot about his anger towards his underage killer and turned his interest onto his centuries old killer instead. He fixed his gaze on the rebellious vampire and his voice was distant when he coldly addressed Walter, “Go to your room, Walter, I will deal with you later.”
“But Lord Hellsing…”
“Go to your room NOW!” Arthurs voice now was furiously cold and all the time his eyes were fixed on the girl, that eyed him back still amused, faked innocence in her eyes and not worried in the slightest.
Walter was still reluctant.
“Go, angel.” The girl did not let her eyes of her master either, now widening her smile and showing a row of sharp triangle teeth. “This is to be settled between me and my master!”
Walter got up, left the room and slowly closed the door behind him. He suddenly felt like the 15 years old kid the age in his passport told him he really was, and not like the cocky young man, that usually was proudly fighting and killing for Hellsing.
He turned his back and slowly walked toward his room when he heard one dreadful scream of pain, shortly followed by another. He could not have told who was the one screeming, but he flung himself towards the door again and pulled the handle furiously, throwing himself against the ancient oak, pushing, then kicking at it. But the door would not open, no matter how hard he tried. From inside the room muffled sounds of a fight were barely to be heard, except for the horrible screams that from time to time sounded muffled even through the thick oak door.
The thought of the only beings that meant something to him going for each others throats was driving him mad and only now he started regretting to ever having touched Alucard.

He had waited in front of the oak barrier till the dawning of the new day, when the door opened and a totally exhausted Arthur Hellsing appeared in the doorframe, looking him over with tired, empty eyes, passing him and going silently along the corridor. The clothes of the head of the Hellsing house were just slightly torn and showed some bloodstains on one arm. Peeping into the room Walter saw a gross mess of destruction: Shattered furniture everywhere, most of the windows broken and pools of blood on the floor. An eerie silence filled the house. Alucard was nowhere in sight and Walters heart sank by the thought that Arthur might have eventually destroyed him. Could the young head of Helling house have done it? Was he strong enough to actually kill Alucard?
Before turning around the corner Arthur stopped and turned his head to the shocked young man. “You still long for him.” It was more a statement than a question, but nevertheless Walter answered. “I do.”
“Well, don’t then! He is not capable of human feelings anymore, boy. He is what he indeed is: A monster. And something else: He is MY monster.” He looked Walter straight in the eyes now. Even from that distance Walter could see, that Arthur’s eyes were all bloodshot.
“I like you Walter. We are alike in some ways and could have lots of fun together, as you will see when you grow up – if you grow up in this house that is. You are a good man and a good fighter Hellsing can be proud of. I like your approach in life and your passion when fighting. But I cannot help it: We share this house with my monster. The other men will go nuts and running if they find out he feeds on you, no matter if you volunteered for it or not. And I can not let you go on with it for obvious moral reasons. I am Hellsing!“
***************************************************************************
The next day saw a visit from Island who was shocked by the state his friend was in and even more shocked by the state of his working chamber and the shattered alcoholic supplies.
Athur looked at him tiredly, “You don’t understand, mate. THESE are the things I do for my country. I told you our service to our country is different when you came for support, remember? I suppose, I could destroy him, thou not easily. But he indeed is an excellent weapon I do not want to miss. I am sure there will come a time, when he will be most needed.”
Islands made a half hearted try to argue with his friend, “ Make an end to this, Arthur, if you can, well - do it. You know that it is always a hell of a discussion about picking out one of the prisoners to be sent here…”
“And it was indeed too long again! He hasn’t been feed for far too long…he always gets so rebellious when he is in need of food…do hurry up with that, will you, mate?…”
Now this was a path of conversation Sir Island was not happy to trot along and he hurriedly suggested to carry on the discussion with the aid of more spirits. They drove to the village pub and drowned a few drinks together – actually drowning a lot - speaking of old times that were only gone for 5 years now, when all their cares in the world were the results of soccer matches and teachers insisting on seeing their works on Shakespeare. Now they both were working for the government. Islands had a wife. Arthur had become the head of the Hellsing organisation.
When Arthur came home he entered his private chamber and simply said, “Step forward.”
Alucard – the usual male version in red – appeared before him, quickly bowing low. “My master!”
Arthur looked at him for a while. “No taunting today?…Fine. Anyway: I have thought about you.”
“Yes master…”
“Actually I’m tired of breaking you again and again. Did my farther had to do this, too? I am so fed up with everything - I would let you fight with the boy and amuse myself guessing the winner, would I not be sure that you will take this as a treat rather than as a punishment.”
“But master…”
“Shut up!”
When the vampire bowed again and remained silent, Arthur continued, “As I said I have thought about you, my heavy load of duty running the Hellsing Organisation and what I might deserve as payment for devoting my life to the task of beating the crap out of you once and a while. And I came to the conclusion that I indeed deserve a special reward. This combined with the facts of what you happily told me yesterday washed all my doubts away, moral or whatsoever. Don’t think your feeble attempts to seduce me have succeeded – I will still be aware of myself. And I warn you: Stick one tooth out of line or try something funny and I will indeed finish you. For good. Now, come here, my monster, change your form, kneel before your master and open up your mouth wide, Alucard.”
