Chapter Three
Sayuka had gotten on Zelman’s last nerve.
“But my Prince…….”
Zelman threw up his hand refusing her yet again.
“No, it is time for you to find yourself a human male and move on Sayuka. I have kept you long enough and I am tired of your constant desire wanting more from me than I am willing to give. I am not that sentimental. Now leave me before I kill you.”
With a flick of his fingers a spark flew up to light another cigarette as another panting female lay on his floor. It was of course Hibari Kusunogi, the girl who amused him and made him almost feel like he was around the Sage. Hibari for a moment’s time made him feel alive, but now she was silent with her long hair a wild mess from the rather strange way she put it up. The child actually tried to fight him off this time. All Mimiko and the others knew Hibari was just on vacation. He convinced them of this, but fact was Zelman planned to keep her for a while until like Sayuka the girl ceased to amuse him.
With tears in her eyes Sayuka left nodding knowing she was no longer needed. It was depressing since his drinking of her blood was almost a sexual experience. It was very pleasurable and almost addicting. Sayuka almost felt sorry for the young girl on the floor, almost….. Zelman couldn’t get away with this. She would go to the Company, but then what? Then she would be another statistic since Zelman wouldn’t let her leave alive. No, it was best just to go while she still had the chance. Hell, Zelman’s people had written a fine history for her to find employment within the Company. She would indeed have a home again perhaps even outside of the Special Zone since she had never been outside of it.
“Why are you doing this to me……?”
Hibari choked out through tears as she crawled across the floor.
“You amuse me. Why do you struggle so when I know you enjoy my attention?”
Hibari tried to get to the door which of course was locked by Zelman’s powers. She didn’t know why she tried to fight him other than in certain ways she felt violated. Hibari almost felt like she violated her own principals when she did enjoy his attentions.
“I have work to do and I am not supposed to be here. I don’t want to be here. I was only curious to what Mimi went through. Now I can never be a compromiser. I worked so hard to be one and you have ruined it.”
Hibari broke down into a full blown sob. Zelman sighed.
“It seems to me that if the company wanted you to be a compromiser you would already have done so and fact is you are one to me so see you are more useful here. I can use one especially concerning your dear friend Mimiko since I need Jiro and the Sage to come to my side.”
Zelman found the girl attractive. Perhaps he would change Hibari if she amused him long enough and assisted him with his plans.
“A compromiser for you Lord Zelman? You would want me…..but I am not experienced….”
Hibari tried not to become too cheerful. Lord Zelman Clock always had a motive and even if she was naïve she was not stupid.
“You are friends with those who are experienced. Hibari, live with me, join me and see for yourself if you can do a favor for me. In return…….I will show you pleasure you only dream about. I will give you the one thing Sayuka could never get from me.”
With that he lifted Hibari into his arms placing her into his bed.
“I……wait a minute here! I am not that easy!”
Hibari was indeed unsure she wanted this. Was he talking about what she thought Zelman was talking about? Hell, she just got to know him and as attractive as he was she was not going to give up that to him.
As Zelman moved her ripped shirt to the side to look at his puncture marks Hibari grasped her what was left of her ripped shirt looking like a terrified little girl making Zelman smirk a bit. Such pure innocence it was adorable.
“I wasn’t offering that my dear…..not now anyway although for now you will have the honor of bedding me without the fringe benefits.”
Zelman almost laughed as Hibari turned bright red resembling a tomato. Zelman couldn’t help himself to a little more of that blood causing Hibari to pass out cold in his arms as he tucked her in then sat on the edge of the bed smoking another cigarette. Sleeping with only his pants on he lay in bed wondering what the hell he was doing. The girl was amusing, but was he certain that this was the route to take? Zelman could break her heart without pity, but fact was he liked this girl. Maybe it wasn’t even that, maybe he was just bored. Either way his plan was to take Jiro and Kotaro by any means necessary.
It was pure temptation to take all of Hibari’s blood, take her innocence with it as well. Still, she was too damn young, too foolish, and eventually like Sayuka would end up just being a play thing he would eventually toss aside for another. Living 800 years he despised and at the same time loved change. Change brought a challenge to Zelman’s long life, but then again it also brought on years of nothing except the same damn boring shit day after day. The same women and men throwing themselves at him to have him change them into immortals. It was annoying and amusing some days.
Hibari didn’t want to be a vampire, which was why Zelman liked her and wanted to change her. It was much more fun when your prey didn’t want something. Hibari wanted to be a compromiser more than anything in the world and her childish gossip had given him all the information he needed to gain the Silver Blade as well as the Sage.
Zelman looked at the Angelic innocent face with those cherubic cheeks. He ached to dig his fangs into those sweet young lips and find out what else Hibari had hidden from him. He knew most of her thoughts though by now. There was nothing this little twit of a girl could hide from him and indeed she was so stupid in some of the ways she saw him. Zelman was far from being here to help her out and he was not kind at all. Everything that Hibari heard, said, or did was now etched forever in his thoughts. It was almost a perfect plan.
Cain might think he could stop him, but fact was the Lord Dragon would only do what was best for the Sage. The Silver Blade was too much of a risk for any house. Eventually both the Sage and Jiro would be on their own again without a home needing a family to take them in. It was fate and he would be there to alter theirs.
Hibari sighed in her sleep and trembled. She feared Zelman which was a good thing. Zelman wanted that little bit of fear instilled so that she would not betray him. It was what was keeping Sayuka from betraying him. The fear of death in humans was strong.
Zelman lay in bed in what would be considered a restful slumber of death, but no vampire was fully asleep. None of them slept, the rested their blood nothing more. It was the living blood that kept them alive and strong. Human blood was what they needed to survive. No animal could give a vampire complete peace.
An elder like Zelman didn’t have to drink much human blood and donors in the Special Zone were plentiful. It was the Kowloon Children that were a problem because they became feral with the desire for blood. It was not a controlled hunger like the old bloods or true black bloods. Zelman and others like him could go days without drinking. However, why do so when there were willing victims?
Zelman couldn’t help himself as he once again found himself drinking from a pure source only to stop realizing he really shouldn’t have offered Hibari to stay with him. It was too easy to roll over and finish her off. Still he pulled her lips to his own as he bit then gently sucked allowing Hibari to join him in fevered kisses only to pull away then disappear from the room for a bit. If he drank more from her fountain she would cease to move. He ordered breakfast and plenty of citrus for her to drink so she would have the energy for him. Zelman knew by the end of the week Hibari would be practically drained of energy when he was done with her. That would not do for his plans. Besides, he still had to convince the Company and Cain of his ‘good intentions’ for Hibari. That alone made this a touchy situation.
Picking up his cell phone Zelman made a few phone calls and knew he was going to have to use a bit of his own blood to heal Hibari’s wounds. There was no way in hell the Company would let one of its own go to him if they thought he was drinking from them. It was considered forbidden and the vacation ruse would only last for so long before someone caught onto what was really going on.
******************************************************************************
Hibari woke up to fresh scrambled eggs, French toast, and an assortment of juices with a white silk night gown lying on the end of the bed with a matching robe. Zelman sat across from her as she tried to adjust herself on the bed. Her shirt was a ripped up mess and it was embarrassing since she had to use what was left of the buttons on her blouse to cover her bra up along with the blazer.
Everything smelled good, but Hibari wasn’t sure what to think. Zelman left the room so Hibari could dress except Hibari found she couldn’t move much at all. It was as though her whole body was drained of energy and it hurt her head to move.
“Miss, I am here to assist you. My name is Eliza Lou Yogasaki and I am here to assist you during your stay with us. Zelman certainly can drain one dry when he is in his moods.”
A vampire woman stated as she looked down at the young girl. Eliza Lou was a member of Zelman’s coven for years. She knew his tastes and what was expected. There were very few females in the Crimson Eyed Prince’s small elite group.
Hibari was grateful to the beautiful dark haired woman who assisted her with removing her things to put on something more suitable although she wasn’t sure calling the beautiful, lacy, rather thin nightgown that until the robe was placed on. The robe had white ermine fur on the inside and there were soft slippers on the floor as the vampire woman helped Hibari over to the couch. There trays of fruit were also brought up and other delicacies including tripe as well as some rare prime rib. Zelman wasn’t certain what the young woman would eat and he still knew very little even though he could read her mind like a book. It didn’t tell him yet what she would feast on.
“Thank you….I don’t plan on staying though if the Company needs me still. I kind of hope they do. I want to be like Mimiko, my best friend and mentor even though she is in trouble like I am. I really shouldn’t be here at all.'
"I am so ridiculous to always get talked into these situations I cannot get out of and I know the Company is going to have my head for my uniform being ruined. I am going to have to get a new one right away. Maybe Mimiko can lend me one since she always has extras.”
Eliza smirked. No wonder Zelman wanted this girl. He always wanted what he couldn’t have.
“Well, we shall see won’t we? For now you need to eat and rest. I doubt you will be any help to anyone in your current condition.”
With that Eliza left and bowed to Zelman who came in to greet his ‘guest’.
“I hope you are well Hibari. Did I forget to have them send up anything?”
Hibari sighed and shook her head no.
“No in fact I think you sent up too much. Thank you, but you are being way too generous except for my uniform. It is a wreck.”
Zelman grasped a banana nut muffin and started to eat it. That shocked Hibari.
“I thought vampires could only…….”
Hibari said with her eyes wide. Zelman laughed a bit.
“You don’t know much about us do you little girl? How can you become a compromiser and not know such things my little Hibari? Indeed you do need to stay with me and so I have made plans. You are not needed at the company right now and I do need a new assistant so you will be an excellent help to me. Since the Company feels that you need more hands on experience I will be more than happy to show you our ways.”
Zelman put some butter on his muffin and grasped a plate filling it up as Hibari also ate although she felt odd. It was hard to eat around a practical stranger. Sure he had basically forced his attentions on her, but still that didn’t mean she knew him.
“What if I want to do something like compromising with other humans? I mean I haven’t even picked my field and you are kind of forcing me to do so. It really isn’t fair.”
Hibari stated crossing her arms over her chest. Zelman smiled.
“Do you think that compromisers deal with humans? Why would there be a need for a compromiser in the Special Zone if it were for humans? You poor little naive child. You compromise our position within this human and vampire barrier to insure that all the zones are understood as well as respected. You chose a field where you will directly interact with vampires. No matter how you look at things my dear, you will find I am right.”
Zelman stated matter of fact as he finished his meal than motioned for Hibari to work on her own.
“I am not hungry.”
Hibari stated angrily and Zelman just smiled wide.
“I believe if I have my way you will be so I suggest you try to eat something. I plan on having more if you do not, but it will not be from this fare.”
Hibari’s eyes went wide.
“You wouldn’t……not after……”
Zelman’s mood just lifted at the same innocence and defiance that his young guest was showing. Yes, this was much more amusing then a willing participant.
“Yes, I would. So eat so you can gain your strength. Believe me…….”
Zelman stated with a yawn as he wandered over to the door.
“You will need it…..”
Hibari watched as Zelman departed. Looking at the food it really was a waste to let it sit. She could at least try to be hospitable even if she really wanted to take a plate to throw at her host. He was such an ass, but she would never say that to him out loud.
