CH.3
Haruhi let the book fall from her hands.
“Marriage?” she gasped.
“So you’re the one who has taken my notebook. I almost wrung the twins necks believing it was them.” A cool, calm voice said from the doorway. Haruhi whirled around to find Kyoya standing in the doorway, the once locked door open and letting him gain full access to her mischief.
“K…Kyo…Kyoya sempai!” Haruhi stuttered, blushing furiously at being caught.
Kyoya was silent as he closed the door behind him, locking it once more with an ominous ‘click’.
“Did you enjoy what you read?” he asked in his business like tone.
Haruhi gulped. Kyoya smiled then took a few steps closer to her. His mind was racing with questions, like Haruhi’s, and was struggling to keep his emotions under check. He finally reached her on the bed at sat next to her, never letting his face show the struggle inside of him. Finally, Haruhi spoke.
“Kyoya, are you serious… about what you wrote in these entries?” she asked quietly, handing him back his notebook. Kyoya closed his eyes and placed his hand over hers.
“Every word.” He spoke just as quietly. There was something in Kyoya’s voice that made her heart melt. It wasn’t the sickeningly sweet tone he used when entertaining ladies, or when he was up to no good. His tone was one that rang with honesty, and that was what made Haruhi’s heart melt.
Without warning, Haruhi pressed her lips against Kyoya’s staying stationary for a few moments as she waited for him to respond. It didn’t take him long to do so. Pressing his hands on either side of Haruhi’s face he leaned in closer to her, parting her lips with his tongue and invading her mouth. Haruhi succumbed with grace and melted in his arms as they kissed deeply. A fierce joy ran through Kyoya as he cradled her face in his hands and felt her searching fingers latch on to his hair.
