Chapter 3
Misty's Bet: A Pokémon Lemon
By Persona
Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon, Game Freak and Nintendo do. I am writing this just for fun and not for profit, so please don't sue me.
Lemon warning: This story is a lemon. It is not intended for kids to read it, so if you are under 18, stop reading right now. You have been warned.
Note: I haven't seen the latest seasons of Pokemon, so the story will be of the usual Ash, Misty and Brock group.
Note 2: I usually write fanfics with the original Japanese names. But this is my first Pokemon lemon fanfic, and since the English version names are more popular over here, I decided to name the characters with their English version names instead of Kasumi (Misty), Satoshi (Ash), etc…
And now, on with the story.
=============================
Chapter 3:
Ash, Misty and Brock were camping out in a forest again under a starry night sky.
Misty had done some shopping just before leaving the town, and purchased some new clothes, and some new panties, so she was dressed like she usually did, before she had made that bet with Ash.
All the time during this three days, Ash had been acting more and more indifferent towards her. He didn’t react at anything that she did or say, not even when she made fun of him like she usually did. He didn’t show anger, nor any emotion at all.
It was as if he had no feelings whatsoever towards her. It just felt so… so cold.
Brock had gone to fetch some wood to start a fire, and as usual, it was also Brock who was preparing dinner for them.
Misty watched how Ash grabbed some things from his backpack, but was not able to see exactly what they were. Then he walked into the woods, alone not even Pikachu went with him. If asked about it, he just replied that he was just checking something, and would return just in time to eat dinner.
Ash had done the same thing every night since they left the town three days ago.
“What do you think Ash is doing every night Brock?” asked Misty.
Brock shrugged his shoulders, “Beats me. Whatever it is, he sure wants to keep it a secret.”
“Aren’t you curious about what he’s doing?”
“Not really.” Replied Brock, “I’m sure Ash will tell us when he’s good and ready.”
Although Misty knew that Brock was right about that, she was also very curious as to what Ash was doing back there. She just HAD to know!
“I’m going for a walk, I’ll be back when dinner is ready.” Said Misty casually, and walked in the general direction where Ash had walked. Once she was out of Brock sight, she walked towards where Ash had gone to spy on him.
Being careful to not make any sound, Misty slowly walked to where Ash had gone to. She finally spotted him, and hid behind a tree near him, looking at him without being noticed by Ash.
Ash was sitting on the ground. Misty now noticed that the items that Ash had taken out of his backpack was a ballpen, a really old looking notebook, and a small calculator.
Misty could see how Ash was writing some numbers on the notebook with the pen, then made some mathematical operations on the calculator, and wrote some numbers on the notebook again.
Misty could see from her vantage point that the notebook had several notes and numbers all over it.
Suddenly, Ash did one last operation on the calculator, wrote some last numbers on the notebook, and placed the pen down.
He then grabbed the notebook with both hands and gave it one final look. “I’m almost there; just a little short. Maybe I can compensate with something of that value?” said Ash out loud, talking with himself.
Seeing how Ash was turning off the calculator and closing the notebook, she realized that he was ready to go back to camp, and so she hurriedly left, so as to not be noticed by him.
=================================
During dinner, Misty tried to get close to Ash to talk to him, but again Ash ignores her and pushes her away.
Misty was getting more and more devastated by this every time it happened. After all this time together, Misty had finally realized her feelings towards Ash, and now that she was actually trying to act upon them, Ash ignored her completely. And not only that, he wouldn’t even talk to her, except when it was absolutely necessary.
And now it was also that secret notes that he was doing this last three days.
It was just so depressing for Misty. She just looked down, her eyes sad, and she just ate dinner quietly.
All of this did not go unnoticed by Brock.
He had seen how, several days ago, Misty started dressing in more ‘girly clothes’, and she just said that it was for a change of style.
Then, three days ago, Misty went back to her usual style, and at the same time, Ash had been acting very distant towards Misty. And it was only towards Misty. He had been acting like he usually did with him.
Another change that Brock noticed was that, since they left the last town, Misty had been trying to get closer to Ash, and Ash had in turn rejected all her advances.
Instead of insulting him in return, Misty would get depressed at Ash’s totally uninterested reaction to her.
Brock had to admit that he had really no idea what was going on with Ash and Misty. But he didn’t want to be too nosy, for the time being he would just watch, and give advice when asked for it.
After dinner, the three of them got inside their sleeping bags, and slept trough the rest of the night.
==============================
At sunrise of the next day, the three of them were up and ready for a new day.
Surprisingly for Misty and Brock, Ash had been the first one to wake up. He was usually the last one to get up.
“Well, Ash, this is a surprise.” Commented Brock regarding Ash earliness, “did you fall out of bed?” he said jokingly.
Ash disregarded Brock’s comment. “I have something important to say to you today.” Ash looked very serious for some reason.
Hearing Ash’s tone of voice made Brock and Misty get serious as well. “What is it Ash?” asked Brock.
“From today onwards, I’ll continue traveling alone. It has been really good for me to be with you all this time, but I think it’s time to go our separate ways.” Replied Ash.
Both Misty and Brock were surprised at this. Why now? Why all of a sudden?
“Ash…” started Misty.
Ash wouldn’t let her finish, he just reached into his backpack and took out, to everyone’s surprise, a stack of money. He handed the money to Misty.
“Misty, this money is almost enough to cover the price of that bike I ruined for you when we first met.” Then Ash took off his hat and handed that to Misty as well, “Take my hat too, it’s a limited edition collector’s item. I’m sure that you can find somewhere to sell it and get the rest of the money to finish covering the price of your bike.”
Misty was surprised by all of this. First it was Ash’s announcement of going alone from now on. Then it was the money that he had just given her. She remembered that he had gotten some prize money from when he competed at the league, but never knew what he did with it. And she also remembered that it was not enough to pay her bike back.
It also surprised her that he gave her his hat. She remembered the incident with Ash’s Primeape all that time ago, and how important Ash’s hat was for him.
“Ash… are you sure you want to give me your hat?” asked Misty, not sure about taking Ash’s hat from his hand.
Ash nodded, “Yes, take it. I made you a promise to pay you back your bike, with this I have now cleared my debt to you.” He said this in the same neutral tone he had been using with her in the last days.
Without another word, a surprised Misty just took the hat from Ash’s hand.
Ash then looks towards Brock. Ash’s face turn into more friendly features when he spoke to Brock; “Brock, you were a great friend and companion. I have learned a lot from you all this time, and I have most of all enjoyed your cooking.”
Then Ash shakes Brock’s hand.
Brock was surprised at first, but after hearing Ash’s words he smiles and shakes Ash’s hand back. “Thank you Ash, it has been nice traveling with you as well.”
Ash then looks again at a very surprised and confused Misty. She expected him to say something to her before going away.
However, the only thing Ash said was “Bye Misty” in the same neutral tone he used in the last few days.
After that, Ash turns around and walks away from Brock and Misty.
Pikachu was also surprised at Ash’s actions, he started following Ash, looking back at Misty and Brock, then turned his head around and climbed onto Ash’s back like he usually did. He liked Misty and Brock, but Ash’s was still his owner and partner.
Brock and Misty remain quiet as they watch how Ash walks away, his form getting smaller as he keeps walking towards the horizon.
Misty was watching him with teary eyes, crying silently to herself. He had left, he had gave her his hat, he hadn’t even said anything to her, and now he was leaving… why!?
============================
Half an hour later, Brock was preparing breakfast, while Misty sat quietly under a tree.
Finally, Misty broke the silence by asking Brock a question, “Why do you think Ash left?”
Brock turns to look at Misty, “Actually Misty, I was kind of hoping you would tell me. Did something happen between you and Ash these days?” he asked.
Misty then proceeded to tell everything to Brock. About how she wante to teach Ash a lesson, about the bet and the duel they had, about what was at stake (well, she didn’t tell him about the panties bet, she certainly didn’t want ANYONE to find out about that). As to that was why she dressed in skirts and blouses these last few days.
She then told him what happened at the town with the two teenage boys, how Ash had helped her, how she had cried to Ash, asking him to let her dress like she used to again. About how she saw him yesterday working with a calculator, writing notes.
She also told Brock how she started to develop feelings towards Ash.
Ash just sat there and listened to every word that came out of Misty’s mouth.
When Misty was finished telling him, Brock spoke up.
“Well, Misty, I think that we both know Ash very well after traveling with him all this time. Just think about what happened, and try to see it trough Ash’s eyes.” Said Brock to Misty.
Brock’s simple answer made Misty realize everything. How could she had been so blind! It was so clear now.
Ash was such an honorable person. In all his battles, he never made anything to get advantage over his opponents, never did anything to taint his victories or his battle record. He never cheated, even if his opponents did cheat (like Team Rocket).
He never made fun of his defeated opponents, even if he had completely beaten them, all he had was kind words for them, congratulating them on a good duel, and some times giving advice to
them on how to improve for the next time they dueled.
And he always kept his word. No matter how long it took, or how hard it was, if Ash made a promise, he would always keep that promise.
Misty realized that Ash always saw her as his equal in that aspect. Like a honorable person like he was.
But when Misty asked Ash to let her dress like she always did, despite of her loosing the bet, to ask her to be let go of a promise she did to him, in Ash’s eyes so was no longer an honorable person. To Ash, she was… well, like Team Rocket.
Ash could no longer respect her as a Pokemon trainer, or consider her a friend.
“Brock… what should I do?” asked Misty.
“I think you know what you have to do Misty.” Replied Brock.
Misty nodded. Brock was right; she knew what to do.
“Excuse me Brock, I’ll be right back.” Said Misty, as she grabbed her bag and walked behind some trees and bushes.
Once she was away form anyone’s sight, Misty quickly took off her shirt, short and suspenders, and she also untied her hair and took off her tennis shoes and socks.
Then Misty reached into her bag and took out a very feminine looking button up sleeveless shirt, and put it on. Then she also grabbed a pink miniskirt and zipped it on as well, and put on a pair of white sandals on her feet.
She was finished changing except for one thing.
Misty blushed as she realized what was the only missing thing. Misty reached with her hands under her skirt, grabbed her panties, and slid them off down her legs.
Then she placed her panties in her bag.
When she was finishing changing, Misty stepped out from behind the tress into the clearing once again.
“Brock, look after Togepi for a minute, I’ll be back soon.” Said Misty, and started to go down the same path where Ash had gone.
Misty started to run down the path. It has been almost half an hour since Ash left, and she hoped she would be able to catch up with him.
As she ran, Misty saw a figure walking over at a distance. Could it be Ash?
“ASH! ASH WAIT!” called out Misty, waving her hand, trying to get Ash’s attention.
At first the figure kept walking, but as Misty started to get closer, it stopped and turned around. Indeed, it was Ash. He seemed surprised to see Misty running towards him.
It took Misty a minute to run up to where Ash was. When she reached him, she put her hands on her knees, and took a minute to catch her breath.
“Misty? What are you doing here?” asked Ash.
“Ash… I understand now. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have asked for you to forgive the bet. I’ll keep my word; see?” Misty gestured to herself, showing to Ash how she was dressed.
“Here.” Misty reached into her bag, and took out the new clothing that she had gotten to replace the one that was burned after she had lost the bet. Misty threw the shorts, suspenders and shirt on a pile on the ground. “And one more thing.” Misty blushed as she reached into her bag once again, and pulled out all the panties that she had, including the one that she had been wearing before, throwing them on the ground as well.
“Ash, you know what to do now…” said a blushing Misty.
Ash smiled and nodded, “Cyndaquill, I chose you!”
The pokeball opened, and out came the fire pokemon. “Burn those clothes with your flamethrower Cyndaquill.” Ordered Ash to his pokemon.
“Cynda-QUILLLLL!” the fire that came out of Cyndaquill’s mouth set the clothes, and underwear, on fire in no time.
When it was done with its task, Ash returned Cyndaquill to it’s pokeball.
“Ash, please come back. I will keep my promise, and…” Misty reached into her bag to, and took out the money that Ash had given her and his hat, handing both things to Ash, “… I want you to keep yours as well. When you have all the money, I will accept it, but I can’t take your hat.”
“Misty…” exclaimed Ash, he reached over and grabbed the bills and the hat from Misty’s hand. “Okay Misty. I will.”
Misty could cry from happiness right then and there.
“Oh Ash!” Misty hugged him, “thank you.” She whispered.
