A/N: OMG FINALLY!!! Ive been stuck with this for ages. I got so many ideas for this story, but I am no where near the most competent writer. I really hope you enjoy this. This is the final part of the prologue. (btw I have a feeling I'm spelling that wrong lol) so many months later I never thought I would be able to come back to this story. I love my plan for this but I just need some help. I welcome editors and comments good an bad scathing or full of advice. So here it is part 3 the final part. I am gonna start work on the first true chapter soon so please read review an hopefully enoy!!! -Matt

Legends Prologue

Part 3

Darius woke with a start, sending Aion flying from his chest. The small ralts yelped out loud as she blinked the sleep from her eyes looking at Darius. His body drippign sweat as he breathed heavily his chest rising up an down like mad. He seemed to be confused as Aion looked her friend over. As she walked closer she felt something very off, indeed. Not much longer there were running footsteps coming towards them as the door opened. Both friends looked at the same time.

“Darius, are you ok to walk?” the older gentleman was their neighbor and friend Mr. Dale. He was portly an rather short, but the man was a well known hiker an had been part of many a rescue effort an climbed more than a few mountains himself. Beside him was Hill, his Machoke, with a few scars on his arms form some climbing accidents an the many battles over the years. His face seemed sad, as if he wanted the words to speak but couldn’t bring himself to say them.

“Yes. what happened?!” Aion just watched her sense of dread growing tremendously. She walked close to Darius clutching his leg. Out of habit Darius pet her head the touch soothing to her. Darius was searching the man's face looking. The chubby man's face was anything but inviting right now.

“There has been an incident...” that was all it took as ralts was suddenly forced to clutch Darius' leg as tight as she could as he sprinted past the two not even Hill able to catch him so caught off guard. Darius tried to not worry.. everything will be fine.... Its probably just a small spill... he thought trying to ignore any bad thoughts...but failing..then why do I KNOW it's bad?He don't know how long he ran but before he knew it the side of the house that sat his room an the living room was just gone. The whole area was covered with officers an other officials. He paid them no mind as he ran in calling out “MOM!!! MMMMOOOOOMMM!!!” he panicked as Aion let go finally trying to feel the presence. The energy was all Maki's. But the entire house had a strange sense too it. One of a haunting grief./ as if all life had crashed upon them. All the while Darius was screaming before collapsing as a doctor ran in with some cops. Aion just watched a strange numbness seeping over her...teh same feelings that Darius was getting.

“Son, Son, SON SNAP OUT OF IT!!!” the sound of a SLAP sounded over the commotion. “Your mom is ok...she is alive, just at the nearby hospital come on” they led him off as his eyes reminded her...of hers the day she saw her reflection after being thrown to the wild pokemon. Shaking her head she followed as the officer helped her get into the back of the ambulance. She walked to her friend huggign him. He didn't even seem to notice. Looking up she felt a tear fall upon her cheek.

She ran an ran an ran. HE was right there in front of her Jericho wait for me please WAIT! She yelled at the top of her long running as fast as her legs would take her. She tripped over something though just as she almost reached him. Taking a second she looked at what she fell over screaming as it was jericho's head misshapen an laughing as suddenly round her were heads of him sick an perverted as she cried unable to take it.

“MOM!! MOM!!!!! WAKE UP!!!” she snapped up breathing heavily her face slick with tears as she found her son looking at her. His eyes...his beautiful eyes the deep blue and...and...

She broke down upon being reminded of the man she loved, the man she felt die. She cougeh her throat dry as he motioned for water.. “Maki?” her voice was barely a whisper her hands shaking “Where is Maki?”

Her son couldn't even look at her. She trembled all over her body as she wailed suddenly finding herself in her son's arms. She blinking her sobbing hiccuping trying to stop before failing an once again the flood gates opening. Now she lost not only her love but her longest friend. Thank Arceus she could still hold the one great thing in life she had made, her son. she hugged him tighter she felt a small little pair of arms wrap around her side she sniffled as eh looked at the little ralts. The cuteness of it made her smile just a tiny bit as she pet the ralts on the head. “He's....Dad...he” she was shushed form Darius

“I know mom...Some strange guys told me.. then gave me this” HE held up a red square rectangle. A pokedex. AT any other time it would have been the happiest moment of their lives. She cried. “That...that was going to be a present fro when your fatehr came home” she choked a little trying to finish “Its called a pokedex. Its your proof your ready to travel the world...as your father an I did” she couldn’t continue then breaking down as Darius hugged her tossing the device aside this time crying with her. Finally they finished for now, as Darius lay his mother back letting her sleep.

Think You can leave after all that's happen Dar? Aion asked him. Darius was fingering the Dex. He was solemn, far from his usual cheery self. All Aion wanted was to make him smile again but she didn't know what to do.

“I don't know Aion” he was so sad, his voice nearly cracking “I mean this means dad knew he may not come back, an he wanted me to still follow his footsteps. But I mean what if they come after you, or mom... I mean I have to be here to protect mom..” eh sighed before a shadow covered him making him look up.

“That's nonsense boy! You were MEANT to train pokemon, I've seen yer Ralts, the little one can already talk through telepathy, an teleport. You have a clear knack for raising pokemon.” mr. Dale got on a knee leveling his eyes with the boy. “I already made a travel pack for ye since the oen your mom had made was destroyed “ He looked over into the room sighing “Darius, in the morning your to go. I know it will be hard but you got a pokegear you can keep in touch but its the only way to get back on your feet, you'll thank me for it ok?” his eyes held no compromise, all Darius could do was nod. He glanced back at his mother. She seemed ok now, but could he really leave so soon?

“hey Ai?” Darius was wide awake in the hospital bedroom. “Can I ask yous something?” yawning the ralts just nodded looking at him sleepily.. he couldn't keep from petting her head making her smile some. “What do you think I should do? I don't see why I have to leave tomorrow.”

Because you' never leave if you don't, If you make the decision to stay you’ll never pull yourself up to do it Darius. You'd always stay here worried for your mother more than yourself She sighed as she shrugged Besides if you were gonna protect her how else am I gonna get strong? Hmm? Not by eating food all day that's for sure that elicited a chuckle from both for a moment. They both fell silent though...

“Aion..” she let out a small noise “I am glad I found you, I don't know what I would do without you. I love you” Darius blushed some but petted her head.

I love you too Darius her green blush an smile were hidden from view as she snuggled into his chest both falling asleep somewhat in better spirits

Mr. Dale was there with Hill the next morning a filled backpack in his hands as he grinned “Come on boy step lively early Pidgy catch the Caterpie! Literally sometimes” he guffawed at that. “Come on your gonna be wanting to get going before you can think about it let's go” he dragged the blankets off Darius an Aion as he chuckled at the glare the two of them gave him. “get dressed an come on your mom is awake you get to say goodbye after all” He just laughed as the two of them became a blur to him as they rushed to get cleaned up an ready.

A surprising smile graced his mother's face as he looked at her. “mom I..You sure I can-” she placed a finger on his lips

“Nothing would make me more proud Darius. Your your father's son, for sure.” she hugged him “I love you Darius, and I expect a call every day got it?” with a smile he nodded energetically still in shock it was happening, an crying a little form the fact he was leaving his mom an home behind to go who KNOWS where. With a fierce hug he held his mom an cried out loud

“I love you mom, so much, so very very much!” with quiet acceptance April just nodded rubbing her son's back. She was going to miss him so much.

“Ok you” she sighed steadying herself as she looked him in the eye “It's time for you to go, don't wanna start your first day as a trainer being late to your own path” she smiled wiping a tear from her eye. Aion jumped energetically.

ALRIGHT LET'S GET IT GOING!!! the whole bunch laughed as Darius an April pet the ralts making her blush an smile.

“Bye mom, thank you...for everything” he smield at her heading out

“Never goodbye for us son, just till the day dawns next” She waved back at him

The first step was hard to take. HE looked down to Aion on his right tryign to smile but unable to really mean it. She smiled for him. She raised her hand taking the tips of Darius' finger and pulled him into the first steps of his journey....
