At the end of the day, Toshiro and I were walking together. I told him about my second chance with Yu-chan and how I want to date her all over again.
"You want a second chance with Yu-chan? I thought your date with her didn't go that well."

That was when I felt very nervous.

"Heh. You were nervous when I said that you should hook up with Yu on a date. Now it sounds like you want to make another try at dating with her."

I learned from my mistakes. I just hope that I would remedy my actions from the past and hope for a fresh new start on my second try.

"Are you sure? Maybe she wouldn't go on a date with you again. Wait. Speaking of that, is this why you and Yu were not in the store a while back?"

Err, yeah.

"And this is why you brought it up again. No wonder."

I asked Toshiro if he ever dated Yu-chan.

"Ehhh? Well...I...I wouldn't call it a date if that's what you were thinking."

Hmmm. This conversation was different.

"It did happen one time. It wasn't much of a date. We had like arguments in between. Hell, she even grew some fit when she thinks I'm following her every move. But then afterwards, we made it fine in one day."

I see. But the way that I see Toshiro and Yu all the time is like a love-hate relationship. Then again, they're still friends regardless of their bickering.

"So...are you two planning on dating again? What did she say?"

She said that she will think about it.

"I see."
We kept walking until we reach an intersection. Before we left, Toshiro place his hand on my shoulder.
"It sounds more like your taking Yu-chan seriously. If she chooses to date you again, then good luck."

I felt the confidence that was said to me. I nodded with acceptance.

"See ya."
Toshiro left as he heads home. I stand there, watching him leaving. I felt certain that I could do it all over again. I just really need some confidence within myself to date Yu-chan again.
Later, as soon as I got home, the telephone rang. I answered it.
"Midori-kun, this is Yu."

I gasped. Is this really her? Is it?

"Midori-kun. Its Yu."

Yes. I hear you, as I speak.

"Where do we want to go to tomorrow ? What's the best time for you?"

Woah! Seriously? Yu-chan was on to me for sure. I wasn't so sure about a specific place where we can meet. But where? I thought it over and I said that we can go to the amusement park.

"That's a great idea! What time?"

Eleven.

"That's good. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye!"

With the phone hanged up, I felt blank. Then my senses came to me. It...it turns out that Yu-chan and I are dating again!

...or so I think.

Either way, I will not hold back and try to attempt the date with Yu-chan. I look forward to the next day.
Came the next day, I arrived at the park. I am right near the entrance and is waiting for Yu-chan to come. I made it here early just before eleven. I made it here so that I can relax and prepare myself on dating Yu-chan again. Confidence. I just need confidence. That's all.
I waited patiently. I took a deep breath. Easy there Midori. You can do this.
"Midori!!"
I turned to hear someone calling out my name. That voice...*gasp* Yu-chan!! I saw her coming and...she appears to be wearing blue shorts and a white shirt. Interesting enough she does look outgoing for a date with me instead of her usual wear.
Yu-chan comes up to me and I told her that I already bought tickets to the park's entrance.
"Nice. Let's go."
We both enter the park together. Yu-chan walks by my side and we were really close. Now that we're here, I'm curious about the rides that are in store. Just as long as it’s not the roller coaster.
"Ooh! Midori, look!"
I felt Yu-chan nudging me to get my attention. I turned to what she was looking at. Then, my heart turned in fear.

"Ooh! Amazing."
Her attention brought me to ANOTHER roller coaster. This one looks much scarier than the last one that I ended up on (and I'll never forget that). There was like not one but...two loops and the railings on the coaster does not suit my taste. Well, our ages matter, but we should be able to go on the ride...can we?
"C'mon Midori. Can we go? It'll be crowded by the time it goes to the afternoon. Please?"
Its not usual for a guy like me to be afraid of roller coasters. It's a terrible experience on my behalf. But for a girl like Yu, not so much. I didnt want to say no to her since we're dating. Besides I wouldn't say no to such offer towards my Yu-chan. I told her that we should go on that ride first. Excited, Yu-chan pulled me by the arm and we head off to the roller coaster.
Wait. Yu-chan is holding me by the arm. Wait. She is grabbing me by the arm. Oooh! So it does feel like a date. I wasn't sure since she is dragging me to the line of the ride, but this second chance that I am having with the girl that I longed so much on felt real.
We approach the line and it went by quickly. Not bad. Yu-chan wants the front. Not that I wanted to protest and sit anywhere but the front, I didn't want to. Would I faint again like last time?
We were able to seat in the front of the coaster. The saftey lock for the ride was well secured. Soon, after everything was checked in place, the ride begins.
"Oh Midori. I hope you won't faint like the last time."
Yu-chan giggled at me as the ride was going uphill. I dunno what to do now and I'm already nervous. I try to keep cool. We are up to the top. Er...the view looks nice up here.
Then, we went down the coaster. All I can do was scream. Scream louder as I felt the wind blowing by my face. The roller coaster rides with force as it went through the first loop. Then it was making sharp turns until it drops and went up to a swirl. I had my eyes closed. I couldn't take it. I screamed again as I felt taken for a unpleasant ride. I couldn't focus on Yu-chan. At least not now.
From the second loop and then a wavy path, the breaks came to a halt. The ride stopped. Is it over? Then I felt it moving slowly and then I hear clapping along with cheering. I knew it. The ride was over. Finally, I sighed with relief. Yu-chan clapped for me. She felt proud of me. I did manage to get through the whole ride in one piece. However, the ride was terrible to my taste. The ride was nothing like the one last time when I was here. This one was worse.
The ride was drawing to a close. I wanted to get off. I felt dizzy from all that I went through from the ride. Once we left the ride, I went over to the bench. I took deep breaths, trying to get my head together. Yu-chan was there to support me.
”Midori...are you alright?”

Water...I need some water...

”Water? I'll get you one. Just stay here. I'll be back.”
Yu-chan went off to get water for me. I watch her as she was heading off. Oh my Yu-chan. Just watching you take off in care of me. Always looking out for me...aahh...
Thinking of her, my thoughts went dim on her. Then, I passed out.
Later on, I woke up. The first thing I noticed was that I fainted a while ago. The next thing that I see is that I'm in a clinic. Whaa?! Wait, how did I end up here?
”Midori-kun.”
That same voice calls out my name again. I turn on the bed to see Yu-chan looking at me. I asked her if I am in the hospital.
”Of course not. You're in the park's clinic. They brought you here because you fainted. I was surprised to see you faint again as soon as I came back.”

So I see.

”Are you fully rested? We still have time to look around you know.”

Fully rested? Sure I am. Why not?

”I'll promise that I won't drag you to rides that would scare you again. You did great on that new roller coaster and you didn't faint throughout the whole ride.”

I guess so. Well...at least.

”Come Midori, let's enjoy the rest of the day here. We can leave right now.”
I got out of the bed and then Yu-chan and I left the clinic. The day was still bright outside and my date resumed.
During our time at the park, we went on rides that were suitable to my taste. I won a prize at one of those game vendors, but the prize was meant for Yu-chan. As long as I'm doing the favor of dating Yu-chan, I'm doing my best to make her happy.
Speaking of happy, I've just noticed something else. Yu-chan was holding me by the arm. This is new to me. I've never expected not realized that before. The first date was nothing to me since she really didn't hold hands with me. This time, she was being real to me. I'm amused. Not that I was expecting much from this date, but it was because of me that's making her enjoyment in a positive way.
