Vert was a very green and lush planet. It had lots of farmland and bodies of water, but no minerals which were imported through Amoi. The inhabitants were mostly poor farmers and friendly. There was a large metropolitan area, but Elena chose to settle in the suburbs to avoid those who might be familiar with Amoi’s politics and recognize Iason’s favorite pet, Riki.

It was so unlike Amoi that it took Riki a little bit of time before he adjusted to the planet. Once he did, he felt at ease to walk to town on his own when Elena allowed him to pick up supplies. Elena purchased a fairly large home for them on the outskirts of town. It was close enough that they could walk into town, but not too close to nosy neighbors. Their home was backed by a forest where Elena would occasionally train Riki to fight. Riki was restless staying inside the home without anything to do while Elena and Damien were off doing business so he asked her if he can join them on their jobs. After much debate, Elena finally caved in to her brother’s wishes. She could never deny him anything and thought it would be good for him to get his mind off of Iason.

Riki was wearing a tight black tank, baggy pants and military boots, resembling a lot like a modern day ninja with his shoulder length hair tied in a pony-tail. He was in the woods jumping from branch to branch, dodging Elena’s daggers. He was becoming better at predicting her moves, but she would occasionally throw him off by adding a trap. This time, one of the branches snapped and Riki fell into a net.

“Damn it!” cursed Riki.

“Foolish little brother. You can’t be so narrow-minded and only predict one outcome. You must think of every possible problem and be prepared for it. Like this little problem here, you could have easily escaped from had you brought a knife.” Elena smirked and waved her dagger in front of Riki. She was wearing a red bustier vest laced with black strings and puffy see through sleeves, tight black leather pants, a belt held her emergency kit and thigh high boots with several daggers strapped to either side.

“Well, I guess I could’ve done that had you allowed me to buy some weapons.” answered Riki.

“Very true. I guess I’ll have Damien bring back some weapons when he returns from his mission to set you up with your own weapons. Let’s spar a little first.” Elena said coolly and cut open the net releasing Riki.

Riki was caught off guard and fell with a loud thump. “Umph! Geez, warn a guy before you do that.”

“No complaints. I could have just left you to figure out how you could escape yourself. Let’s get started.”

With that, Elena tossed Riki a dagger and they started to spar. They danced gracefully around each other with the occasional clang of metal clashing against each other. Riki and Elena laughed as they played cat and mouse throughout the forest ending their battle at the waterfalls as usual. They sparred until the sun started setting in the background.

“That’s enough for today Riki. We better head back now.” Elena panted and eyed her sweat covered brother up and down appreciatively. “Damn, if I wasn’t your sister, you would be so fucked by now. Don’t forget to lock your room and don’t open the door no matter what you hear. My demon side won’t hesitate to take your sweet ass.”

Elena told Riki that Katherine turned her into a full-fledged vampire once she became her number one assassin. A task that was not easily accomplished by any human and came with much sacrifice. Elena agreed to be turned in order to become stronger and faster, but in exchange she lost control on the night of the full moon.

“Can’t we take a quick dip in the lake before we head back?” inquired Riki.

“While I would love to bathe with you like we did when were kids, we don’t have enough time today.”

“Alright Elena.” answered Riki.

They headed back and had their evening meal together as usual. Riki was glad to have Elena back in his life and began to relax knowing that he always had her beside him. He knew she sacrificed a lot for his sake and would do anything for her in return.

Riki went straight to his moderately large room in comparison to his old digs in Ceres. The room was furnished with a queen sized bed, a nightstand on the left side near the ensuite bathroom with a small lamp and dresser. He walked out of the shower drying his hair with a small towel with another towel wrapped around his slim waist. Riki jumped in surprise when he heard a clash outside his door, knocking over a glass of water on his nightstand.

“Shit!” Riki pricked his finger on a shard of glass while picking up the pieces. A few drops fell to the ground before he started sucking on his wound.

Thus he was caught off guard when Elena crashed through his door with her fangs bared. Riki was taken aback as he saw Elena’s eyes were bleeding red and looking at him hungrily with lust. Riki took the chance to make a dash for the door. He was almost there when he tripped and fell face first to the ground. I was going to go easy on you, but now . . .” Riki continued to try to crawl away by digging with his nails, but Elena reeled Riki in with her tail and then tossed him on the bed.
