"Er...hello? Is this thing on? Cool. This message is going out to the Round Table Conference, and a very personal and heart-felt shout-out to the queen bitch herself, Ms. Hellsing! Alright! Your ass is currently being kicked by the Valentine Brothers! My name is Jan Valentine, and I can't wait to meet each and every one of you. We'll be getting intimate as soon as me and the boys finish lunch, so let me be the first to thank you for providing us with these tasty snacks! By tomorrow, Hellsing will be nothing more than a pile of shit...we highly recommend pissing yourselves, followed by a course of praying to your impotent god. But hey you can be a man and kill yourself. Thank you, London, we love you! Good night!"
My teeth and fists clinched in response to the grating voice that came over the manors intercom system. "Such a cocky little shit isn't he?" I growled out, venom seeping from my every word. A few silent moments passed before the phone had an incoming call awating. Walter calmly answered the phone, putting it on speaker. "Walter, what's your current position?" Sir Integras voice rang clear over the speaker. "I'm in the sub basement in Seras' quarters ma'am, Ms. Victoria, Mr. Strauss, and Alucard are here with me. I've already been brought up to speed on the situation." Walter Calmly stated, a soft smile crinkling his lips. After a short exchange of information, Walter hung up the phone and turned to us to review our plan. "Ms. Victoria, Mr. Strauss, come with me we're going to travel through the air ducts to the conference room to provide proper support to the round table committee." Seras and I both nodded in agreement as we headed for the door, Alucard disappearing off through a wall just moments after our departure.
It didn't take long for the three of us to find an air duct covering that would allow us ingress into the confrence room above. Seras utilized her vampiric strength to do away with the covering and one by one we climbed into the air duct. Seras was head of the line followed close by myself and Walter behind me, offering advice on which path to take. Our venture wasn't one of conversation. Aside from Walters directions, all we heard from one another was the sound of the metal ducts deforming to our touch, and the grunts and groans of exertion we let out from time to time. "I have a question for you Walter." I uttered suddenly, breaking the near silence that encompassed us. "What would that be Mr. Strauss?" Walter asked.
"If you're the one giving us directions, why are you in the back of the formation?" I inquired with a perked brow. "I thought you would have appreciated the view you have now better than the alternative." Walter responded with dry wit, a snickering leaving his throat. I absentmindedly cleared my throat as my cheeks no doubt began to burn with a reddish hue. "Walter!" Seras embaressingly snapped at the old butler. Much to my own chagrin and unbeknownst to either Seras or Walter, there was some truth in his words. I had found it...difficult to keep my eyes from wandering over Seras' ass. After awhile, I managed to keep my sight pinned to my hands and the slate grey floor of the duct as we continued our journey.
Not long after the previous moment did we find ourself at a panel that broke away from the rest of the duct. Walter had assured that the confrence room would be directly below us. Seras loosed the panel from it's place and it fell into the room below. From there we dropped saftely into the room, Seras more or so fell and had her fall broken by the fortunate placement of Sir Penwood, an elder member of the Round Table. "Seras, Walter!" A voice at the opposite end of the table exclaimed. The voice belonged to a woman possesing a lithe build and long blonde hair that fell in rivulets down her shoulders and pooled on her back. "Good evening Sir Integra."
Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. The last surviving member of the Hellsing family line and current head of the Hellsing Orginization. She is also my boss and master of Alucard. Both man and monster alike show her respect and those who don't tend to quickly learn their place. Opposite of her was Sir Shelby Penwood, the only other memeber of this confrence that I knew in detail. Aside from his station he is quite an unremarkable man.
Walter made his way to the end of the table where Sir Integra was seated, a cigar in her mouth that was soon lit by Walter. As Walter spoke to Integra and by extension the round table, I helped Seras and Sir Penwood back on their feet. "Thank you young man." Sir Penwood exclaimed to me. I offered only a polite nod in response to his words and shifted my attention to Walter as he continued speaking to the room. "The plan is as follows Sir Integra. Alucard will intercept our enemies on the sub levels while Seras, Andrei and myself deal with this floor. Your standing orders will be followed to the letter." A devilishly chesire smile dawned on the veteran butlers wrinkled face as a faint shimmer of light beamed from his hands briefly and disappeared in much the same manner.
My eyes wandered from Walter to the young vampire beside me, her face stuck in wide eyed bewilderment at the Hellsing family butler's devilish disposition. Once Sir Integra's orders were confirmed, we made our ways to the hall with haste. The heavy copper stench of blood was thick in the air as we pulled open the defined wooden double doors, the scent no doubt intoxicating to Seras as her legs shook with subtle anticipation and a red haze enveloped her eyes. The scent of the blood was not without it's effects on me as I breathed in deep and let out a low growl that roused Seras from her crimson thoughts. "Andrei... d-did you just...?" I glare at the young vampire, her words ceasing to flow from her lips. "Yes, I did. Your kind aren't the only ones affected by the smell of blood Seras."
The battlefield where the final line of defense would be held was a long stretch of hallway that lead to the confrence room. The actual doors to the confrence room were defended by a short bend in the hallway on our side, preventing any bullets from penetrating the door and killing the board members inside. Our plan of attack would consist of myself and Seras posting up in a room overlooking the expanse of the hallway. Walter would be stationed in a room further up the hall, acting as a decoy for whatever forces came along, allowing Seras to pepper them with an assortment of 30mm shells. My job, the least exciting of them would be to assist Seras in loading the Harkonnen and providing cover in case our position was over run.
It took us no more then three mintues to get our little ambush set up, Seras now laying prone with the Harkonnen shouldered firmly within her arms.I knealt beside her body, an array of 30mm shells at my feet. The unsettling mood of the hall had gripped us all by the throat, choking us into silence as we kept keen eyes locked on the opposite end of the hall. It wasn't long before the scent of blood grew more pungent and the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard thundering closer and closer.
Finally a black wave of undead ghouls appeared from around the bend at the opposite end of the hallway. At the helm of this battalion, a tall lanky man no older then his mid twenties marched down the hall with weapons at his sides, acting as if the halls he walked were already his. To add insult to injury, his foul tongue spewed insults at every step. As I held back the urge to say fuck the plan and grind the little pissants head into the floor with my bare hands, Walter emerged from his door further up the hall, close to the enemies front lines. He stood casually as if an army of the undead wasn't halted by his progress before a quick flicker of light shined for a brief moment, a fountain of crimson erupting into the air, making for quite a visceral spectacle to behold. "Seras, that's our queue." I uttered as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "Right, be ready with those shells." The young draculina instructed.
A hailstorm of fire erupted from the ghouls, their rounds failing to hit to hit the ex-vampire hunter as he ensnared a good deal of their forces in his web. Their deaths were marked by another tidal wave of blood thrown high into the sky, a spectacle which drew a child like smile on my face. That smile was soon replaced with a more stoic expression as an absurd cackle erupted from the frontlines before the ghouls formed a wall of iron. "Ms. Victoria, I believe it's your turn." Walter casually stated with an air of muted confidence as he stepped aside. Seras responded in kind as she pulled the trigger of the Harkonnen, the shell marking the beginning of her symphony of destruction.
The destructive 30mm shell tore through a modest amount of the ghouls forces, shredding their shields and disfiguring their frail bodies with little effort. When the dust settled, Seras' joy and jubilation was cut short by a groan of frustration as she saw that the dent in the enemy forces wasn't as grievious as she initialy thought. It was then, that Walter had shouted for an explosive incendiary shell to be fired through the center ranks. Seras and I wasted no time as she quickly unloaded the depleted shell while I grabbed the next and loaded it in.
Seras quickly shouldered the rilfe and began to take steady aim towards the center ranks of the undead ghouls before pulling the trigger and letting loose another shell of sheer hellfire. The leader of this ghoul army narrowly dodged the shell as it pierced through a number of ghouls before exploding in a spectacular fashion. Much to our surprise and chagrin, that lanky son of a bitch managed to survive and was now headed straight for walter at top speed. The man threw a devistating kick to Walter followed by a short, close range burst of gunfire to seal the deal. after the kicked up dust settled back down to the floor, it appeared as though there was nothing left of Walter.
As more of the dust settled however, the Hellsing butler shortly came into view, a smile on his face as the same tell tale glimmer briefly flashed around one of the lanky man's many facial piercings. I felt a twinge at either side of my lips as I watched Walter pull the piercing from his lip with a simple flick of his wrist. A howl of pain erupted into the hallway as the leader of the ghoul army quickly took aim at Walter. Before the man could fire off another round, Seras had lunged towards him with incredible speed to disarm and detain the man with her immense strength. The man struggled a cursed in vain as Walter and I approached, a smile on our faces. "Hmm, that's quite the hold Seras." Walter remarked with candor. "Well I was police officer." Seras replied with a toothy, yet innocent smile.
"Arggh! Get offa' me you vampire slut!" yelled the man held under Seras' weight. Walter and I stared down at the pathetic, cowardly wretch and he in turn looked up at us, a bloody grin spreading across his lips. "Well, if it isn't Hellsing's actual lapdog. Is Alfred here taking you out for a walk?" The bastard cackled before my boot connected with his face, sending a stream of blood and teeth flying from his pierced maw. "No I'm the guard dog, you must be the asshole who rattled my cage." I growled out, my fangs bared for all to see.
"Easy Mr. Strauss, we wouldn't want to hurt the poor boy." Walter chuckled out with an elderly smile. "Now young man you're going to tell us why you decide to disrupt our evening, and maybe we'll go easy on you." Despite my boot nearly disconnecting the little pissant's jaw, he still managed to cackle out and smile up at us. "Ohhh, I'm just a tourist who thought he'd take a look inside this swanky mansion, honest Jeeves." The lanky intruder uttered with a wide grin before having his hand swiftly crushed beneath Walters heel. "Arghh fuck! We were just following orders, we were told to assault the Hellsing headquarters and kill everyone inside." Walter and I exchanged a gaze with one another before turning back to our "guest". "We were supposed to confirm the deaths of the Roundtable... and your pet vampire." Walter snidely chuckled. "Ah, so there are more of you?" He remarked.
"Wow, you catch on quick Jeeves." The man uttered with sarcasm paired with a wry smile. "That's right, big brother Luke should be pounding Alucard into a carpet stain right about now." Walter let out an annoyed growl, raising his foot to crush the little pissants head before monsterious growls came from the darkness of the hall before us. Vacant, mournful eyes of sapphire appeared one after the other behind the curtain of shadow. Beaten and mutilated cadavers lurched forward with maws filled with hellish razors that wanted to tear at our flesh. These abominations made from the corpses of our fallen allies was enough to even unsettle Walter, as his body visably reeled back in shock and horror. Seras likewise followed suite, allowing for Jan to weasle his way out of Seras' grasp. He rushed past myself and Walter, only for the butler to ensnare his arm within a web of fiber wire.
This unfourtunately did little to stop the vampires advance, as the ensnared limb soon was severed from its owner to lie on the floor in a pool of its own blood. I followed behind the cackling madman with haste, realizing that he was running straight for the confrence room. I snarled under my breath, my eyes transfixed on my target as my feet began to carry me as fast as they could. By the time the intruder had reached the door, I was only a few meager steps behind him, my right hand clenched tightly into a fist, eager to destroy whatever was in front of me. The doors to the confernce room swung open, leaving both myself and Jan standing in place. Gleaming eyes of confidence shined behind the barrel of a gun as Sir Integra pointed her pistol down range. the other members of the Roundtable following in this action. I had little time to evade the incoming barrage of bullets. Our intruder however, was not so lucky. I watched as streaks of silver pierced Jans body, leaving behind a trail of crimson that stained the walls and his uniform. I shot a quick look to Sir Integra and she in turn shot one back at me, a confident smirk on her lips.
This moment of camaradere was broken by the sound of an ear piercing scream that had everyone present, shifting their sight further down the hall.
