“Hey Ash, hey Ash!, are you alright?”
‘Huh?’ Beams of bright light penetrates the insides of his tent through the gap in his door.
Someone had opened the flaps to his tent “is that you Serena?” he said as he moved his arms to shield his face from the light.
“What time is it?” Ash asked with his eyes slowly adjusting to the sunlight.
Her petite figure stood before him with her arms folded on her ample chest.
“Time to wake up” she said jokingly, before tugging at his ear.
The sudden pain forced away his drowsiness as he began involuntarily following her.
“Ouch, ouch slow down why the rush?!” He complained.
“Oh, Ash... what have you gotten yourself into this time?” She said beneath her breath, and Ash who somehow made out the words visibly frowned.
Finally her steps slowed to a stop after what seemed like an eternity of suffering for his ear.
“Ash was it? can you explain how this police bike got here?” a feminine and commanding voice sounded from ahead.
Ash jolted at the Voice, he instinctively swept his gaze through the area.
An officer Jenny sat on one of their chairs looking directly in his direction.
She held in her hand a cup of coffee, which she would occasionally nurse.
Her legs were crossed against themselves showing off the milky legs through the long leggings she had on.
“I take it you must know something, from that little reaction you just had” she said suspicious, a slight smirk reveals itself on her face.
“You see yesterday, officer number 67 didn't come back from her shift… if that was all we would have no evidence to suspect you, but you have her bike here and quite close to your camp”
She spoke slowly but Ash can hear the hostility in her voice.
“Sorry officer, but I was just surprised by your sudden appearance, I have never seen that bike, nor did my friends” Ash said forcing on a troubled expression as he waved his hands in front of him defensively.
The eyes of the Jenny narrowed upon hearing his words. Though she believe they had something to do with her cousin’s disappearance, she has no evidence to suspect them of anything.
The bike was parked fairly far away from their camp too, which should explain why they wouldn't notice.
“Sorry but by any chance did any of you hear noises in the night?” She asked them calmly, although Ash could see the slight desperation on her expression.
Fortunately he was smart enough to wipe away any fingerprints he may have left behind, as a plus he had also cover the thing in dirt, most likely hiding any trace of his dna if any piece of his hair ever fell off.
The dirt and the night had also washed of his smell.
“Nope” he responded forcing himself to show a hint of innocence.
Officer Jenny looked him over calmly, but didn't seem to notice a difference.
“Oh yeah I heard something last night” Ash was shocked when Serena suddenly declares.
“I'm sorry I was scared a-and i-i” she said spluttering her words, moving her gaze towards the ground. “Its ok, go on” officer Jenny intervenes “l-l-last night I heard footsteps” she said clearly a little frightened.
“Did you by any chance hear where it was headed?” Jenny asked.’
“I don't know… I was too scared, at first I thought it was probably Ash or Clemont’s but they just went further and further away from our camp, I don't believe Ash and Clemont had any reason to leave camp… it mu-must’ve been something else” she said sniveling, and her body slightly shaking.
“I'm sorry, it was probably dumb of me to think of something as childish as ghost but it was dark and I sleep alone in my tent” she said playing with her hands, head down casted.
Ash placed his hand on her shoulder, he was honestly worried about her.
“Its ok” he said towards her before patting her head. His strange action shocked her, but she stayed silent despite the confusion.
A blush appeared on her face, but Ash pretends to not notice.
“Sorry, but i’m going to-” before Jenny could finish her commanding sentence Ash decided to interrupt.
“I’ll go back with you for questioning” he confidently stepped in front of her, showing his smile.
“Sorry, but one is not enough you all need to be questioned” she said slowly.
A sly smirked tranced Ash’s lips “you don't have any evidence for suspecting us, it's already enough that I decided to go along with your shenanigans” He said before once again taking another step, placing his face in front of the officer. Serena widen her mouth at the scene, his nose was a mere 1 inch away from the officer’s own nose.
“Welp should we be going?” He said heading towards Clemont's tent.
“Where are you going young man?! My bike’s over there!” Officer Jenny shouted loudly, both arms placed on her slender hips.
Her pale white face had changed towards a pink blush, and an indignant expression plastered her charming face.
“No Ash!” Serena shouted towards him, she didn't know why Ash would agree to go with the officer, she knew he couldn't have done anything to the officer.
“Its ok Serena, you guys go on ahead, I'll meet you again…” he said softly as if it was his final goodbye.
“I'm just going to get some stuff before I go with you, officer” he said towards the officer waving his hand Behind him, almost in a shrugging manner.
Serena believes she may have heard a slight chuckle, but it could've been her imagination.

He comes back with his pokeballs stocked and ready to go. The officer stood there patiently, and she seems to still be offended at his earlier actions.
“Are we going or what?” Ash said towards her nonchalantly. “I’ll drive I don't want the trip to be awkward” he said hoping onto her bike.
Officer Jenny’s opened her mouth to say something, but they seem to close before producing a sound. “Was he not scare of her at all? She was an officer…”
She clenched her hands turning them into fist, “you can't-” she tried to say, but was once again interrupted “hurry I don't have all day” Ash shouted, stepping on the gas.
A rumbling sound exploded throughout the area, as he begins to turn the handle.
Officer Jenny was shocked by the development.
Not knowing what to do she hurriedly got on, and they both disappeared going off into the distance.
