Party! Party! Party!
Kidd and Law! Kidd and Law! Kidd and Law!
Moving on!
Disclaimer: Don’t own One Piece. I’m sad now…Oooh, cookies!
Here the Chapter Starts
"And where are you off to?" the annoying voice of his ‘bodyguard’ stretched to his ears, causing Law to slowly turn his head in order to glare at the grinning okama.
"Out," he answered. "Without you."
"No, no, no, that won’t work at all!" Bon Clay immediately denied, crossing his arms and shaking his head. "I am to stay with you in order to protect you. Especially on this side of town."
"I’m not going to be out alone," he scowled. "I’m meeting up with some friends and we’re going to hang out with some other people. I doubt even Doflamingo will try anything in a crowd."
"Yes, he would! Don’t tell me your carrier never told you what kind of power that man has," the Beta argued, stepping towards the Omega. "He uses strings."
"Strings?" Law scoffed with a roll of his eyes before sarcastically waving his hands in the air. "Ooh, how scary."
"He’s a puppet master," Bon Clay continued. "His strings can attach to people and move them however he wants. He can also use the strings as attacks. I heard that he even turned an entire building into nothing but strings! The point is, a crowd will mean nothing to him."
"I can handle myself," Law shot back, tugging his black hood over his head. "Besides, he doesn’t know what I look like. Papa never hung pictures on the wall, he always hid them in case we were found."
"I can promise you, he knows," the Beta stated firmly. "If he doesn’t, then one of his lackeys do. He must have had eyes on this place before he took your carrier away. No joke about it."
Law groaned lightly. "I’m just going to a party with some friends," he told the man. "I don’t need a stalker."
"You won’t even know I’m there!" Bon Clay reassured with a wide smile.
"No!"
Here is a line!
The bad thing about having a bodyguard that can change his appearance? There are two things, actually. One would be the fact that Law has no clue how many faces Bon Clay has stored away into his memory. The second would be because he has no clue if he actually lost the man of not. Occasionally, he would look over his shoulder to see if the okama was following him, but most people weren’t even giving him a second glance. So as far as he is aware, he doesn’t know if his bodyguard managed to follow him all the way to the party.
"Law!" someone called before he was suddenly tackled, the clinging mass laughing. "Great that you could make it!"
"Let’s face it, Shachi," Law sighed. "Even if I tried not to come here, you and Penguin would hunt me down and drag me here."
Shachi released him while gasping dramatically, slapping a hand over his chest. "Law! You break my poor heart accusing me of such things!" He suddenly grinned, grabbing Law’s arm and dragging him through the crowd to get into the building’s interior.
Music was blasting from speakers, the bass loud enough to vibrate the floor. A large variety of drinks lined the counter space of the kitchen, more bottles on just about every table. Junk food was everywhere, some being thrown by the party-goers to try and be caught by an open mouth across the room. Everything was loud, the backyard even more crowded due to trying to avoid the large pool. Some were pushed into the pool, managing to avoid those already in it, or simply jumped in.
"You look way out of place right now," Shachi told him, nudging his side with his elbow. "Relax. Have a drink or something."
"I don’t drink, if only because I’m not legally able to," Law pointed out.
"Most here aren’t, but Killer and Wire get the alcohol for these parties," Shachi explained. "Still, if booze isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of soda."
"Maybe later," the Omega replied, looking through the crowd. While some faces were familiar, he didn’t interact much beyond the presence of Penguin and Shachi. And those two approached him first.
"Suit yourself," the Beta accepted with a shrug. "Come on. Time you meet some people."
"Keep in mind, I’m a case of isolation preference," the tattooed young man chuckled, earning a laugh from the other that slapped his back.
"No one is going to allow that here!"
He was dragged out to the backyard, managing to sidestep the cluster of people until they were at the other side of the pool. The crowding wasn’t as bad, but the group that was there was an odd one. Law wasn’t even sure how such a group came together, especially with a walking skeleton (that should not be possible) and a tiny creature that could have been a raccoon-dog if it wasn’t for the antlers. Then there’s the large man with blue hair that looked like he was part robot.
"Yo, Luffy!" Shachi greeted.
"Shachi!" the boy called back with a high wave of his hand. The boy seemed one of the more normal one than the rest, wearing a red vest, dark blue jeans, and a straw hat with a red ribbon. "Hey, who do you have with you?"
"This is Trafalgar Law, he’s still kind of new around here," Shachi introduced. "Though it would be a good idea to introduce him to you and your friends before any other crazies. Gotta admit, though. No one is crazier than you guys."
"Shishishi, nice to meet you!" Luffy greeted.
"Law, this is Monkey D Luffy and his group," Shachi said with a grin. "The green-haired guy with the swords is Roronoa Zoro. Yeah, he’s a real swordsman and pretty serious about it. Blondie with the cigarette and dressed like a ‘real gentleman’ is Vinsmoke Sanji. He can cook anything and it is awesome! That gorgeous young lady over there is Nami. Keep an eye on your wallet, she’s good at pick-pocketing."
"Who, me?" the orange-haired girl asked innocently. "I wouldn’t do something like that!"
"Lying witch," the swordsman, Zoro, muttered, bringing the attention of the blonde to him.
"What did you just say, you bastard?!" he growled in warning. Law thought the situation a little odd, since it was obvious the green-haired male is an Alpha while the blonde is a Omega. Not many Omegas had such attitudes towards Alphas unless they are able to back-up their side.
"Anyway, the guy with the nose is Usopp," Shachi continued. "He’s a notorious liar, but his stories are some of the best. The little reindeer trying to hide behind him (and failing) is Tony-Tony Chopper. He’s one of those rare cases of animals getting a power, and he’s as much a doctor as you since one practically raised him and taught him everything he knows."
"Calling me a doctor won’t make me happy, you jerk!" the creature exclaimed, smiling brightly and wiggling in place.
"Heart on his sleeve, right? Anyway, big guy is Franky. He can build anything so long as he has the materials for it. Him and Kidd get along in that regard, except Kidd’s more mechanical and Franky just makes…anything! He’s been out of school for a few years, though. Bones is Brooke. His power is a weird one. He died, like, decades ago but still walks around."
"Please to make your acquaintance," the skeleton said with a polite bow of his afro-covered head.
"Last and certainly not least by any regard, the lovely Nico Robin," Shachi finished, waving his hand towards a familiar woman. "She graduated school a couple years ago, but visits the rest of these guys a lot."
"We met," Law stated.
"Indeed we have," Robin replied with a smile. "I wonder how you lost him, though."
"Lots of work and I’m not sure if I even did," Law replied with a scoff.
"Huh? Robin, how do you know him?" Luffy asked, leaning back and looking up at the female Alpha.
"From work," she answered. "Don’t worry, captain. He’s not working for my employer."
"I wasn’t," Luffy replied, sitting back up with a bright grin. "He looks like a good guy!"
"Why did you call him ‘captain’?" Law asked with a tilted head.
The woman is Alpha, no doubt, but Luffy’s an Omega like him. The only other Omega he could identify, besides the blonde, was Nami. Brooke is technically deceased, so what he is no longer matters due to him being only a skeleton with hair, but Law could tell that he’s a Beta. As well as Franky and Usopp. The little animal called Chopper was probably a Beta as well, if animals like reindeer fall into such categories. In fact, out of the group, there are only two Alphas, Robin and Zoro. So why was she referring to an Omega as ‘captain’?
"It suits him, yes?" Robin asked with a soft smile towards the tattooed Omega. "Luffy is the one who brought us all together and is the glue keeping us together."
"We’re all outcasts of some kind," Nami explained. "Luffy collected us and now, we’re nakama."
"A lot of groups are like this," Shachi took over. "Some of them formed into gangs, which you really need to look out for. Some gangs aren’t so bad, like the Shirohige Gang. Luffy’s older brother and his lover are a part of that gang, but they’re more of a protecting type than a shakedown type. That is one huge ass family with one of the strongest guys in the city at the head. I hear he breaks the air itself."
"Hey, Shachi, have you seen Ace yet?" Luffy asked, blinking up at the hatted Beta.
"Not yet," he replied. "It’s Ace, though! He’ll show up! And probably drag Marco along, too."
"Shishishi, I hope so! They’re a lot of fun!"
"Who are Ace and Marco?" Law inquired.
"Ace is Luffy’s older brother," Usopp answered this time. "He’s really, really, really strong! And has power over fire!" He shivered before smiling. "Glad we’re not on his bad side. Marco’s his lover, though. He’s even stronger, but a lot calmer."
"Hey, why are you guys way over here when the party’s over there?" Shachi suddenly asked, jabbing a thumb over his shoulder.
"Luffy’s not allowed in the house after last time," Chopper explained. "Remember? He and Ace got a little too destructive and Kidd was so mad, he told them that they’re not supposed to be in the house anymore."
"He’s still upset about the broken stair banister," Luffy muttered under his breath, turning his head away. "Ace was the one who set it on fire in the first place."
"You were still the one who broke it," Nami pointed out.
Law briefly wondered about what kind of company he was currently meeting before sighing with a roll of his eyes. It is a party thrown by a couple of college students. Of course there will be oddballs and destruction.
"I fucking told you!" someone shouted angrily. "Not in the goddamn house!"
Laughter filled the air as a muscled young man wearing an orange hat, red beads around his neck, and a pair of khakis ran through the crowd. "Lu! Angry magnet alert!" he laughed, running by the group.
"What did he set on fire now?" Zoro asked with a quirked eyebrow.
"Damn it, bastard! Get back here!" A tall pale redhead ran by next, dark lips pulled back into a furious scowl and his hands covered with fingerless black leather gloves clenched.
"Marco! Help!"
"You did it yourself," a calm blonde man stated with a smirk. "Deal with your own consequences, yoi."
"You’re a terrible mate!"
The blonde simply shrugged, running his hand through the patch of hair on top of his head that almost reminded Law of a pineapple.
"What did Ace do this time?" Nami inquired, looking to the blonde man.
"He got into the alcohol and started running around with fireballs in his hands," the man chuckled. "A few bottles may have exploded, yoi." He turned his head slightly to look to Law, scrutinizing him with his pale blue, half-lidded eyes. "You’re new."
"Marco, glad to see you and Ace could make it," another voice cut in, causing the group to look behind Law.
"Law, you came!" Penguin exclaimed happily, hugging the tattooed Omega as the blonde called Marco turned to another blonde Alpha with long hair. "Shachi already introduced you to the Mugiwara Gang?"
"Wait, they’re a gang?" Law asked incredulously.
"Yeah, one of the smallest but also one of the last ones you want to screw with," Penguin replied before glaring at Shachi. "You didn’t tell him that?"
"Nah, didn’t think it would make a good impression," Shachi denied with a shrug.
Penguin sighed before tugging Law away from the group. "Luffy is an Omega, but he’s crazy powerful," he explained. "He took down one of the largest gangs back in his hometown because of an incident concerning Sanji, and another really strong group that was extorting Nami. Anyone making a threat to his nakama, he takes it personally and no mercy is shown. Get Zoro and/or Sanji involved and you’re overly screwed."
"He really doesn’t look like much," Law commented, looking to the laughing Omega that was being used as a meat shield by his own grinning brother.
"He packs a punch you don’t want to get hit with," Penguin warned, stepping back to the others. More specifically, back to the side of the tall blonde Alpha with hair down to his mid-back. Despite the bangs being long enough to cover the blonde’s eyes, Law felt him staring. "So, Killer, this is Law. He’s still considered new in town. Law, my boyfriend, Killer."
"Nice to meet you," Killer said, holding out a hand politely.
"Same," Law accepted, taking the hand and giving it a firm shake. He was quite surprised that the Alpha was polite, especially considering his strange name. Oh, well. Books and covers and all that.
"You being new around here explains why we haven’t seen you before," the redhead stated, coming up behind the tattooed Omega. "Nice ink."
"Thanks," Law replied, taking a step back to angle himself enough that the redhead was at his side instead of his back.
"Kidd, behave yourself," Killer sighed as though repeating a phrase that is said many times a day.
"I’m behaving just fine," the redhead shot back with a grin of his dark lips, red-orange eyes focusing on Law. "So, when did you move here?"
"About a month ago," Law replied as the redhead started circling him. He only moved himself to make sure the obviously powerful Alpha stays in front of him. His actions seemed to catch the attention of the others, who were watching silently. "I’ve seen you at the university occasionally. We don’t share classes, though."
"That’s a damn shame," Kidd chuckled, fingertips twitching to reflect a little light off the black nail polish. "You’re real nice to look at."
"Back off," Marco warned. "You’re making him uncomfortable, yoi."
"I’m just looking!" Kidd defended while raising his hands in the air almost mockingly.
"You’re upsetting Torao," Luffy suddenly threw in.
Kidd regarded the other Omega for a second before turning away, probably thrown off by the dark glare Luffy was directing at him. "Whatever. I’m getting a drink." He walked away calmly, hands in his pockets as he was greeted by other partygoers, nodding and grinning to comments about how great the party is.
"Don’t take it personal or anything," Killer advised. "Kidd’s just like that."
"I’ve had my fair share of people like him," Law brushed off then turned to Luffy. "And it’s Trafalgar."
"That’s what I said," Luffy told him, blinking owlishly. "Torao."
"Trafalgar."
The freckled man chuckled, pushing up his hat with a finger of fire to look at Law with his own dark eyes. "Might as well give it up and accept it," he advised. "Luffy gave you a name he’s going to stick to. I’m Ace, by the way. Luffy’s big brother."
Luffy tilted his head back, looking to his brother. "Ace, where’s Sabo?"
Ace shook his head. "He’s working late tonight."
"That sucks!"
Here is a line!
The living room was packed to max capacity and still more were trying to push their way in. They all repeated one word and only one word to a rhythm only they could hear. "Chug, chug, chug, chug!" At the table in the middle of the room stood Kidd and Killer, both with tubes in their mouths, a funnel at the other end of the tubes, and others pouring bottle after bottle of alcohol into the funnel.
Law could only watch incredulously as the two Alphas drank one type of booze after another without pause. He momentarily thought about the damage the two will suffer later in life due to liver or kidney failure because of this one moment, if not many more. Then the idea of the two skipping tomorrow due to rueful hangovers that remind them drinking that much is a bad idea danced into his head.
Killer gave in first, pulling the tube from his mouth and spraying a portion of the crowd with a fine layer of tequila, gasping for breath. Kidd swallowed what was left pouring into his mouth then removed the tube as well, throwing his arms up and whooping along with the cheering crowd. "Who’s next?!" he challenged.
"I’ll have a go," Zoro accepted, stepping from the crowd and to occupy Killer’s vacated spot. "Try and keep up."
"Big words," Kidd chuckled. The two took deep breaths then threw back their heads, shoving the tubes into the mouths as alcohol was once again poured.
"Go, Zoro!" Luffy cheered. "You show him!"
"Kidd! Kidd! Kidd!"
"Zo-ro! Zo-ro! Zo-ro!"
"These two going at this is a big deal, I take it," Law asked Penguin over the cheers.
"Zoro and Kidd both hold their booze the best," Penguin informed him as Killer dropped by his side. "They tie every time." He leaned into the blonde’s side, looking up at him with a grin. "Feeling sick yet?"
"Don’t make me talk for a while," Killer groaned.
Chuckling, the hatted Omega turned to Law, who was smirking in return. "He’s feeling sick."
"I can believe it," Law replied with a sarcastic expression planting itself upon his features. Laughing gently as Penguin laid across his Alpha’s lap, Law turned back to the contest still ongoing. This was also his first chance of actually taking in the features of the redheaded Alpha.
Despite the obvious abuse of alcohol he was pushing his body into, his physique left little to be desired. While still pale, it only made his more colorful features stand out even more. The redhead seemed to be quite confident about his body as well, seeing as he tossed his shirt away some time ago before the drinking competition in order to properly show off his well sculpted torso. He wasn’t overly muscled in a grotesque manner, but still obviously strong.
Law also noted that the Alpha is quite graceful about his muscled bulk, evading obstacles as though he was water being poured down a wall of rocks. He wasn’t jerky with his movements or over compensating his mass for balance. He must have been working for years to have a build like that and work even harder to keep it now if he was abusing himself so carelessly. Pale scars decorating his skin told some stories about any fights he had before.
So far, the Omega was able to identify a jagged scar below the right side of the ribs as a laceration, too thick and rough to be by a blade so it was probably broken glass. A couple small circular scars made Law think of bullets, though he was unsure of the caliber. The thinner marks were more than likely caused by knives. He’s a fighter, and a strong one.
Both Alphas spat their drinks, yanking the tubes from their mouths while coughing. Despite it being a tie, the crowd was still cheering. Kidd snatched the bottle from the person next to him, holding it out with a feral grin towards Zoro. Smirking back, the green-haired Alpha took the bottle offered to him from Shachi before hitting it against Kidd’s.
"Another tie," the redhead chuckled.
"There’s always next time," Zoro responded before throwing his head back and taking a large gulp from his drink.
Law snorted with a roll of his eyes, hiding the fact that he was looking over the redhead. "Alphas," he scoffed.
"Can’t live with them," Penguin agreed with a nod. "Can’t live without them either. I guess we’re just stuck."
Here is a line!
Robin smirked at the partygoer next to her, sipping at her glass of water while Franky left to grab more Cola. "You don’t have to be here, you know," she told the other. "I can watch him here."
"Be that as it may, Miss All Sunday," the other said with a grin. "It is my job to watch him."
"You can hide easily, yes," Robin agreed. "Just keep in mind, Mister Two. I literally have eyes and ears everywhere. As I said, I can guard him from here."
Mister Two, disguised as a teenage girl with thick straw-colored hair and bright hazel eyes, looked up at Robin with a stoic expression. "Mister Zero told me something that makes me worry," the Beta confessed. "We are not the only ones watching him. And I fear these others may not be so benevolent with their intent."
Robin tucked her head down slightly, looking around the room for any semi-familiar faces. While she has not been to many meetings between Crocodile and Doflamingo, she knew the more common faces of the other man’s associates. "I see. In that case, perhaps two will be better."
Here the Chapter Ends
I know, not much about the party. But let’s be honest. I’m a calm person. I have no social life and I have yet to attend college. So I literally have no clue how these parties would go. I just think that it’s all noise, booze, some destruction, possible drug usage, and sex in random rooms. Of course…that could just be what I see in movies.
Anyway, I am ending it here. Before anyone asks, Mister Two is not disguised as another One Piece character. He is disguised as some random chick that can be overlooked and forgotten. Gotta remember, this guy is one of the best assassins in Baroque Works in the anime simply because of his fruit power and acting skills.
Now, who is Alpha, Beta, and Omega (for this chapter) :
Alpha: Kidd, Killer, Zoro, Robin, Marco
Beta: Franky, Chopper, Usopp, Brooke (if he can even count), Shachi, Bon Clay
Omega: Law, Penguin, Nami, Sanji, Ace, Luffy
