?'s PoV
A black vehicle slowly came to a halt on the side of the street. A medium-framed man in his late thirties stepped out with his coffee in hand. People were gathered around the barricaded scene, trying to see what was going on. Officers stood behind the yellow tape in an effort to keep all evidence untampered with. Judging by the looks of things, he knew that this would be a long day.
"Mr. Cooper," the chief said, extending his hand to the detective. "Nice to see you again. Wish it could be on better circumstances." The chief of police's usual exuberant look had been concealed within a stern, serious look.
"Got that right," Garrison said. "So what're we dealing with here?"
"Haven't been in there myself, but this has all the signs of a gang war. Apparently this was a Plasma base." Plasma? Thought they were declining. Then again, that may explain this shithole they decided to shack up in. "Well, wanna have a look inside?"
"Of course." He followed the chief under the tape and around the side of the building, turning into the back alley. Right outside a rear entrance lay a dead grunt, several gashes throughout the neck and torso. Dead within seconds, thought Garrison.
"What kind of thugs…" the chief murmured. They entered the building, walking amongst the dozens of investigators going to and fro - some having taken blood samples, others with cameras, and even some with weapons in plastic bags. This should be fun. A couple of bodies greeted them in the first room - both shot. Definitely not carried out by professionals. Around the corner, Garrison came to face far more bodies, with far more savage causes of deaths. Among the many that had been riddled with bullets were those that had undoubtedly been killed by pokémon. An individual near his feet had been decapitated. Bisharp or Scyther, he thought to himself. Several were covered in less deep slashes - that could have been dozens upon dozens of pokémon. A sliced open Zangoose here, a charred human there… one image after another that would have scarred average people had little effect on those present at the scene. They were numb to it all.
Garrison ignored the workout equipment as he headed to the opened room in the back. Mostly empty, with a few cages here and there. Large enough to hold Pokémon. Likely kidnapping and selling. He left the small room and decided to go up the stairs, stepping over bodies on his way there. "Any thoughts?" the chief asked.
"Clearly a gang conflict," he stated, "but which one? Plasma has been the only one to give us trouble around these parts." They walked up the stairs, where they entered the main lobby. "Son of a bitch…" The scene looked like a slaughterhouse. People lay dead on tables and behind couches. Shattered glasses and dried streams of alcohol behind a demolished bar counter; a small war had been waged here. "Any idea of the body count?" Garrison asked the chief.
"Forty-seven."
"Either they flooded the building with a large force or they caught them by surprise. I'm thinking the latter of the two."
"Makes sense."
"Now what I need is a list of every name here and whatever you can dig up on these guys. I'm sure I'll have a long night ahead of me."
"You got it Cooper." The chief of police left the detective to himself, where he slowly trudged through the destruction. One individual caught him by surprise - a smaller grunt. Judging by the looks of him, he couldn't have been a day older than sixteen. You had your whole life ahead of you, kid. And now he no longer did. As he stepped over a dead Wartortle, he found two rooms to his left. Just a quick look inside the closest told him all that he needed to know about it. Great, they racked up on weapons, that's for sure.
The second room had a single bed, with the more prominent feature being a blood spatter on the wall near the bathroom, and a smaller dried puddle in the middle of the floor. No bodies here, though. Only a lone hand. What in the hell? A CSI was taking a sample, and soon after picked up the removed digit and placed it in a bag. No telling how that one happened.
Figuring that there was nothing else to see there, Garrison left the room. Before long, he would have all the information to be obtained from this scene. The fact that trafficking was involved made this issue even more concerning. But Garrison knew that the force wouldn't rest until both Plasma and these other thugs were taken out.
He nearly tripped over something in the doorway back to the lobby. Son of a bitch! "Alright, I get we need to preserve the scene and all," Detective Cooper yelled, "but why the hell is this damn turtle still in the doorway?!" In his frustration, he shoved the wartortle over to the side, causing it to roll over and impact the wall. He was about to walk away until he noticed something sticking out of the water-type's head. A four inch blade flip knife, sunken into the creature's skull to the hilt. But that wasn't what Garrison found interesting - it was what was on the side. A gleaming set of fangs surrounding the letters "FB" was imprinted on the side.
"Now what's this?"
Ty's PoV
For Ty, the rest of the night consisted of nothing but partying, drinking, and fun. It had been so long since he got as drunk as he did, and it was the funnest thing he'd ever done. He'd gotten to meet some of the coolest people during this party, and it was all because he was part of the group to get their old hideout back.
He didn't remember what time he passed out. He just remembered him and Amber had spent a lot of time together during it. The two had split up from the party and ended up heading to the roof, where they both smoked together and relaxed. The party was nice and all, but the two needed space because of their loss. It was more Amber who did and Ty followed to comfort her, but he still enjoyed the night sky.
Now it was the next day. The first thing that registered in Ty's mind was the splitting headache he had. With a groan, he sat up from where he laid on the floor and brought a hand to his head. He quickly looked around at the room and saw beer bottles littered all over with humans and Pokémon just as littered, passed out in piles. "That was.. that was a good party, man.." he mumbled as he stood up. "Good party.."
Ty walked over to the large window that ran alongside the couches. Resting his forehead against it, he sighed as the cool glass gently soothed his pounding head. Deciding fresh air might help a bit more, Ty walked around the couches and opened the door to the outside. Shutting it behind him, Ty turned around and saw Tamara was sitting on a rail that led down the length of stairs, her feet dangling below her. "Morning." she said quietly.
Taking a seat on the steps, Ty mumbled a morning back to her before hunching over with his head virtually in his lap. He figured the fresh air would help but it did the exact opposite. Instead, his headache gradually got worse and worse by the minute. "Party too hard?" Tamara asked him with a grin.
"Guess so. Haven't gone drinking like I did in years. Kind of regret it. My head is fucking pounding." he answered.
"I bet. You kind of went hard on the drinking. I even told you to slow down but you wouldn't."
"Don't even remember that.." he sighed.
"Not shocking. You blacked out when you came back with Amber. Come on," she said as she jumped from the rail and stood right next to him. She gently patted his back, nudging him to get up, "I know a couple people who can help your headache. One's my trainer. He'll hook you up."
"..Yeah.. yeah, okay." he mumbled. Standing up, he turned to her for just a moment, "Hold on. I need to go get Marlee. See if she'd want to walk with us." he told her before going back inside. He took a minute to look around and saw some of the people and Pokémon had slowly started to wake up. He then saw Marlee in a small ball across the room, sound asleep.
Walking over to her, he squatted down and gently rocked her awake, "Hey.. Marlee. Wake up. We're going for a walk." he told her. Her eyes slowly fluttered open before she let out a big yawn.
"Okay.." she said quietly. Uncurling from her ball, Marlee stood up and stretched before following him out the door, where Tamara stood patiently. "Where are we going?" she asked with another yawn.
"To find someone who can kill this headache." he told her.
"The guy's name is Blake." Tamara told them as they walked. "But only I can call him that. You call him Blood." she told the two, who nodded to her. "He's been in the drug business for a while now. If anyone can hook you up with the right stuff, it's him. If you ever need anything specific, weed, cocaine, LSD, you talk to him. He's got almost all of it."
"I take it he's like.. one of the head dealers?" Ty asked her, to which she now nodded.
"Yes. He doesn't make the stuff, but he sells it. See, Roark has righthand men for everything. Jai is like his second in command. Blake is his go-to guy when he needs the edge taken off." she told him.
"I see. Does he buy this shit from someone else or is it all made by us?" Ty asked curiously. Tamara turned around and led them to a small building where she soon pushed the door open. On the inside, it was extremely spacious in just the size of the room. However, tables were sat up in the middle with around ten people scattered around the tables, all packing away stacks of money.
"Mixture of both. Buy cheap in bulk from producers and then sell for profit. Simple economics, really." she answered. "Blake!" Tamara yelled out a moment after explaining. Instantly, a head shot up from the table. The person in question had long, black hair that drifted over his left eye. Even with only one eye visible, Ty noticed how his demeanor changed when Tamara showed up.
"Hey, Tammy. How ya feeling?" he asked as he walked over to the group, paying little attention to Ty and Marlee.
"Better. Grace and Cine are a couple of miracle workers, I tell ya." she said with a tiny smile. She held up her arm to him where a small scar was on her arm on both sides. "She said the scar will actually go away when the fur grows back. But hey, I need something from you."
"What is it?" he asked.
"My friend here," she nodded to Ty, "is looking for something for a headache. Nothing extreme. Got anything? I'll repay you later." she told him. Blake looked him up and down for a moment before he nodded.
"Yeah. Wait here," he told Ty before walking back to his table. He scooted some stuff around before he walked back to Ty, holding his fist out, "Take these. They're more than enough." he told him. Blake dropped a total of four pills into hand as he continued, "Friendly tip. Don't take more than two of those at a time unless you want to get really fucked up. That shit'll take your headache away for sure." he said with a smirk.
"Will do." Ty nodded. Pocketing two of the small, white pills, Ty popped the other two into his mouth before swallowing them. "Thanks a lot." Ty could already feel whatever he was given take effect. He almost felt.. relaxed from it. Maybe relaxed wasn't the right word. He just knew that it was working as his headache was gone in no time at all.
"Will? It's Grace. Where are you?" a voice rang in his head. The suddenness of it made him jump in place, making Marlee look at him worriedly.
"You okay? Them pills mess you up too much?" she asked him, stepping closer. He quickly waved her off.
"No I'm fine. I forgot Grace put a link with me and.. yeah.. She scared the fuck out of me. I'm not used to it is all.." he said with a small chuckle.
"Oh.." Marlee giggled at him.
"Arceus, Grace, you scared the shit out of me. I needed some air for a hangover and Tamara took me to meet her trainer who hooked me up with something to kill it. Why? What is it?" he responded.
"Sorry about that. Roark said he needs you back. I'll explain everything when you're back." she said. With a sigh, Ty turned to Tamara and Blake.
"Gotta get back. Thanks for the pills," he said to him, who simply nodded in response. "I'll catch you later, Tamara. Come on, Marlee." he said before leaving the building. Hurrying back across the street and to their small base, Ty headed back up the stairs where he saw Roark and a gathering group of people and Pokémon around the couches on the opposite side of the room.
"..So I think it's about time we head over there and deal with this ourselves." Ty heard Roark say as he approached the group.
"I agree. She's been trying to keep herself hidden. For what reason, who fucking knows," another person spoke up. Rather, upon getting to the group, Ty saw it was an Electabuzz. Bending down to Marlee, he scooped her up in his arms and stood with the group and listened, "I've told her not to fucking do this. Now it's her problem. I know where she works, so we can head up there and get your shit, bruh."
"Thanks, Titan." Roark nodded. He looked up and saw Ty, "Finally. Ty, we're heading out. I need you to ride with us. Got shit to take care of. I want you to drive Grace and I. A couple others will be coming with us. I'll explain everything along the way." he told him. Ty gave a small nod to him, where Roark then turned to Titan next, "You're riding with me as well. Ash," he turned to another man. The man in question was a black man who a rather small afro. Around his head was a bandana in the same colors of his bandana, "I want you to stay close behind. Got it?"
"No problem, Chief," he nodded in response.
"Good, let's go." he told them. Roark was the first out the doors with everyone following close behind. When they got to the parking lot, Ty saw that there was another car beside the one Ty knew to be Roark's. The other was a much smaller convertible, but it looked like it was a much older model. Ty was never good when it came to cars, but this one looked pretty nice. "Here," Roark said to Ty. He tossed Ty the keys then got into the passenger's front seat.
Titan got in behind Roark's seat with Tide and Grace getting in next. With Marlee in his hands, Ty climbed into the front seat and put the key into the ignition where the SUV roared to life. He sat Marlee on the middle console between Roark and himself where she laid down, nowhere else for her to really go. "Where to, boss?" Ty asked.
"First, we're picking up the rest of your money. You remember where?" he asked. Ty nodded to him, "Good. Then let's go. I'm not going to send in Tide this time since you have your partner now. So let's get going." he said. Ty put the vehicle in drive then began the small drive to where he was told. "Speaking of which," Roark mumbled. With a quick glimpse over, Ty saw Roark pick Marlee up and set her in his lap before he opened the console she was once sitting on. He pulled out yet another bandana before tying it snugly around her neck. "You're one of us now. You're a very lucky Vulpix. If Ty didn't choose you, you would have been sold off. Just because we rescued you doesn't mean we like you. You came from somewhere that Plasma was. Even in captivity, you're still not liked by many here just because of your association with them. You want that respect? You'll have to earn it. Until then, you're as low as you can possible be. Do as told, whenever told, and you'll have respect. Got it?"
"I do.. Thank you again for.. you know.." she said quietly. Closing the middle console, Roark sat her back on it where Ty then felt her gently lean against him,
"You do not need to thank me because it was not me who saved you. But it does not matter." he said. With the place so close, Ty pulled into the familiar parking lot and put the SUV in park. "Keep hold of what you said. Got it?" he told Ty who nodded without hesitation.
"Don't have to tell me twice. Let's go," he told Marlee. Opening the door, Ty got out with Marlee jumping out right after. As Ty walked to the decrepit building, he saw two more cars, one of them similar to the one Jai was by, pull into the lot and park right behind Ty. Unknown as to what was to come soon, Ty knew that whatever it was must have been something deadly if they needed so many with them at once.
Holding the door open for Marlee, Ty saw that the place was spic and span from the previous night. It was as if nothing had ever even happened. With nobody else in the store, Ty wasted no time in heading to the counter where the man from last night was. Instantly, the man's demeanor changed from relaxed to nervous, "Here for the rest of the money." Ty said simply.
"Yes, yes, I have here," he said quickly. Reaching off to the side, the man grabbed another small envelope and passed it to Ty. Opening it up, Ty counted the rest of the money. After each bill was counted, he concluded that he had given him just as he was told.
"Good," he said as he slid the envelope into his back pocket. Marlee jumped up onto the counter and eyed the man up and down. "Where's that mutt of yours? Go get him. I want to see him."
"Come on, I give you all your money! Just leave us alone now." he told Ty. He sighed and rolled his eyes,
"You gave what I said, now I want to see him. I'm not going to hurt him." he told him. Hesitantly, the man walked back to his office for a moment before returning with the Growlithe in his hand. When the Growlithe and Ty locked eyes, he saw the Pokémon shrink back and almost cower from him, making Ty smirk. Setting it on the counter, Ty reached out and gently rested a hand on the Pokémon. "See? I can be gentle. This is the side you see when you give me what I tell you. Got it?"
"Yes, yes. I sorry. Won't happen again."
"Good.." Ty said quietly. Then, without warning, Ty gripped the Pokémon's fur and pushed its head into the counter, "because I love Pokémon. And I bet I could make him love humans, too. Put him in his place. I'm sure you don't want that, do you?"
"Come on, leave him be. We did as told." the man begged Ty. Ignoring him, Ty watched as Marlee inched closer to the Growlithe and begin to sniff at it. After a short moment, she pulled back with a smirk,
"Damn.. poor guy. Sure sucks to be you.." she laughed.
"Why? What about him?" Ty asked her.
"He was neutered."
"Damn.. now that sucks. Pretty humiliating. But I'm not gonna make fun of you for it. Losing that is like losing your pride." he said before letting the pokémon go. It turned its head to Ty before slowly sitting up, "Regardless. Make this easy on both of you. Have the money every week and there won't be a problem. Got it?"
"Yes, never again." the man nodded quickly.
"Good. Come on," he nodded to Marlee. Sniffing at the Growlithe once more, she jumped from the counter and waited for Ty, where the two left the store. "Was he really? I didn't pay attention."
"He was," she answered. "We Pokémon can tell by smell if one is.. still there. Male Pokémon give off a pheromone naturally to attract us females. He had that, but very minimally and, when I looked, he didn't have his nuts. I don't think you could humiliate him like you threatened more than he already is to be called out. But you could other ways.. but that'd be more for me to think about. If it happens, I'll tell you."
"Whatever you say.." he mumbled. As they walked, Ty looked down at Marlee's small figure. With her just in front of him, he took note of how she walked. With each step, her backside gave a small sway, almost as if inviting him to look. "Man.. your ass is making it hard to focus.." he said just loud enough for her to hear.
"Q-quit staring!" she yelled as she turned her attention back to him with a glare.
"Can't tell someone not to when you make it hard not to." With a huff from Marlee in response, Ty opened the door where she jumped in first. Shutting the door behind the two, Ty reached into his back pocket and passed the envelope of money to Roark. Counting it out, Roark pulled a small portion of the money out to Ty,
"Your cut." he told him. Ty gripped the money and counter it out, finding out that there was about 500 Poké given to him. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was still a nice share for him. "Here's a little advice for you. When they're late like this, make him pay a little extra for the trouble. Bigger cut for you. But no problems I assume?"
"None at all. Thanks for the cut, boss." Roark nodded in response before he turned in his seat to the Electabuzz,
"Now where's she at? I'm tired of waiting." The Electabuzz sat up in his seat and pointed straight out,
"Down that way about five miles. You know no-man's land?" he asked. Roark nodded, "She works down there. I'll give more specifics when we get closer."
"Cool. Ty," he turned back to Ty, "you're going to follow this road about five miles like he said. Then gonna hang a left."
"Got it." he nodded as he put the car back into drive, going where he was instructed.
"So what we're doing is we're going to collect some more money. The reason there's so many of us is because we're going in an area that's neutral territory. We don't own it, but neither does nobody else. It's a constant fight for it. So the more of us there are, the less likely we'll have a problem. But you need to keep your eyes open."
"Who're we getting money from?" he asked.
"A couple girls who thought it'd be a good idea to skip out on me and try to hide. Well.. one in particular. She was around here last night but apparently when Titan saw her, she tried to dip when he came to get me. So now we know where she is and now she's going to get it." he answered. "Is it only the three of them?" Roark asked Titan.
"Four. One of them has a Vulpix. Well.. one of the blue ones. Apparently she works with them too." the Pokémon answered.
"Wait, blue ones?" Ty asked curiously. "You mean one from that island place? Alola, I think it is?"
"Yeah that's the one. Apparently she was imported from Alola and has been working with them."
"Wow.." Ty mumbled. "Well.. it'd make sense. They say Alola is close to Kanto."
"It is. We're working on trying to move down there. Exotic pokémon would bring in quite a bit of money for us. But no rush on that. For now, I want what I'm owed." Roark said. Ty followed the directions that Titan had continuously given. He thought it wouldn't have been that far of a drive if he'd seen this girl here last night, but the drive was almost a half hour.
Titan led them to a rather beaten-up and old looking part of Celadon. Many of the buildings had their doors and windows barricaded with wood. The paint on the buildings could be seen chipping away, showing just how aged the place was. Pieces of paper and trash littered the streets, showing the city no longer cared of this part of town.
Turning down another street, Titan told Ty to drive slowly, since this was, apparently, where she usually worked. It was a long, narrow road that had buildings on both sides, with alleyways between each building. Hardly any of the buildings had a business of some sort going on. Overall, it was relatively abandoned and generally nasty looking. "She usually works around here. Empty place is good for pickups." Titan said.
"Keep an eye out then." Roark told them. "And watch for Plasma. We're here for the money, not the trouble with them." Doing as told, Ty drove slowly down the road. He looked down at Marlee momentarily before she nodded to him and climbed into his lap. Once in his lap, she jumped up and put her front paws against the window and looked outside, being Ty's eyes on the alleys for him.
For a few moments, nobody saw whoever they were looking for. Even with no description of this girl, or couple of them, he saw nobody. There was nobody on the streets. Or so he thought. "There!" Grace suddenly yelled. The group in the car turned their attention to the right side where she was pointing. Not too far ahead were a couple of girls, four of them, one being the Vulpix mentioned early, were sitting on a small set of stairs.
"That's them.." Roark said quietly. Speeding up slightly, Ty pulled up to the group of girls and when he got to them, he put the car into before getting out. The attention of all four girls turned to the growing group of Frosbite members before their eyes went wide. Immediately one of the girls stood up and began walking away as they approached, "Where ya going?" Roark yelled out.
"Just leave me alone! I already paid you!" one yelled. In an instant, Roark was caught up to the girl and grabbed her by her right wrist and turned her around before pinning her to the wall,
"You don't run from me. Who do you fucking think you are?" he asked. As Ty got closer to the two, the other girls had also backed themselves up against the wall, with the Vulpix standing close to one of the girls scaredly. They were all dressed rather skimpy in short skirts or torn jeans and tops that were tied around the middle. Ty had no doubt or question in his mind that these girls were prostitutes, but the Vulpix he didn't know about if it was just their protection or also was one of them.
"I already paid you!" the girl yelled in Roark's grip. The way this girl spoke seemed.. off to Ty. She seemed.. familiar. She even sounded oddly familiar. But how? "Let me go!"
"Fuck you! You don't run from me!" Roark told her before letting her go. In an instant, the back of Roark's hand slapped against the girl's face, sending her to the ground. When she hit the ground, she brought her hand up to her cheek and whimpered in pain, "You think you can fucking run from me? You know better than to do that. Where's my fucking money?"
The way she laid on the ground helped Ty remember who she was. The way she cowered below Roark brought the memories back. "..Jessie?"
"You know her?" Roark asked him instantly, not breaking his gaze from her.
"I saw her last night when I went out for the money. She was in the gas station as I did business. I didn't know she worked for you."
"No shit.. So you saw another of us and still made no effort to pay up. That's it. Get up," he growled at her. Grabbing her wrist, he forced her to her feet and began dragging her away, "You wanna fuck me over? Fine, I'll do the same to you."
"Wait, no!" she began yelling, desperately trying to pull herself free, but it was futile. Roark had a death grip on her by her hair and arm. He was not letting go.
"Get me their fucking money!" Roark demanded before pulling Jessie into one of the alleys, the screams and pleas never ceasing. Before Ty could react, he heard the others laughing as they began touching up the girls, both inappropriately and in an effort to find what Roark wanted. Titan pushed the Vulpix away from the group before kicking it right in the stomach, sending it to the ground. Marlee looked up to Ty, unsure what to do, before he joined in looking for their money.
Ty grabbed the purse from the girl's shoulder that Jai had pinned up to the wall and poured the contents out onto the street. Unused condoms, makeup, and other feminine hygiene products mixed with the other litter on the sidewalk. No money came out. Throwing her purse, Ty turned back to the crowd and saw Grace and a few other guys were roughing up one of the girls. A small, purple energy surrounded the girl as she was pushed from Grace with her Psychic, a large smirk on her face. "You can't protect her!" she yelled at the girl before slamming her into the ground. "Stop fucking trying!"
Turning from her, Ty watched as both Titan, Amber, and Marlee assaulted the other Vulpix. He smirked at her, glad she was doing what was told without arguing. "Come on, bitch, where is it?" Ty heard Jai yell. He was awfully close to her, practically grinding himself against her. If there was one thing Ty very quickly learned about Jai, it was that he was extremely insatiable when it came to sex. Just the way he acted with her made him think that he'd be doing what Roark was to Jessie very soon.
"Heads up, Ty!" a voice yelled. Turning around quickly, Ty was met with the girl that Grace had been pushing around flying towards him. With a quick sidestep, he stuck his foot out where she was sent stumbling, soon after hitting ground. With her on the ground, Ty bent down and felt all over her pockets until he found what he was wanting. Reaching into her back pockets, Ty pulled out a wad of money held together by a thick paperclip.
"I thought you had none?" Grace asked, stepping up to her. Standing up, Ty passed Grace the money who then turned to the small group of people behind her. With a snap of her tiny fingers and nod to Ty, Grace give the guys a signal to make sure she knew no longer to lie to them. In total, four guys and Grace began assaulting the girl, kicking at her in any space open.
Ty felt no remorse for what he was doing. He trusted what Grace said and if she said this girl told her she had nothing when she did, then she deserved to be hurt. This is what his life was now, and he was committing to it fully, just as this girl did. Just because she was female didn't mean Ty would take it easy on her either. He kicked her with as much force as he could. She deserved everything she got.
The girl screamed for mercy, begging them to stop. She yelled she was sorry and it wouldn't happen again, but Grace didn't tell them to let up. Ty knew she was in command when Roark wasn't around. Well, unless Jai wasn't either, but he and a few others were also busy with the other girl. And if Grace didn't say to stop, then he wouldn't.
"Ty," a voice rang in his mind. Instantly he recognized it as Grace's, almost as if on cue, "take this. Smash the bitches windows," she told him. Stopping his assault, Ty looked up to Grace who had a smaller than usual bat floating right next to her. Hovering it over to him, she then pointed down the alley right next to them where a small car sat almost perfectly. Gripping the bat, Ty nodded to her and went to the car.
Ty stood next to the driver's side window before slamming the bat into the window, shattering it effortlessly. Glass covered the ground around him, along with the inside of the car. He then took another step back, where he did the same to the window behind the driver. Adrenaline rushed through Ty. He felt.. alive doing what he was. He used to be the one harassed.. now he was the one doing it. And it felt great.
"Oh.. Look who's here!" a voice rang out after a couple more moments of window smashing. With a few heavy pants, Ty looked up from the shattered windshield and to where the voice came from and saw one of the guys he was with pointing down the street. Walking from the alley, Ty saw a kid who looked to be no older than eleven years old was walking towards them with a backpack on his shoulders.
"Go on, get 'em!" Jai suddenly yelled. Like a pack of wild Pokémon, a couple members of Frostbite began charging at the boy, who quickly turned around and tried to run. "Bring the little punk over here!"
Seeing no point in going on the chase since they had him apprehended and on his way over, Ty stood next to Jai and Grace, still panting lightly, "Who's the kid?" he asked them both.
"Punks name is Noah. He has a brother who's an Admin of Plasma.." he said with a smirk. That was all Ty needed to know. As the kid got closer, Ty got a good look of him. He was relatively nicely dressed in a pair of jeans and a polo shirt. He had a look of fear written all over his face, which Ty didn't blame the kid for having. If Ty were this kid, he'd also have been scared.
As they got him closer, they loosened their grip on him and began pushing him around. "Where's your big brother now?" one taunted with a laugh.
"Get off of me!" he yelled, trying to push his way away from them.
"Not so tough now that you're alone, huh?" another laughed at him, joining in on the pushing.
"Come on, get on your fucking knees, kid." another ordered him. He began pushing the kid down where Ty and another joined in. In little effort, the kid was on his knees, completely helpless against them. Ty gripped onto the right side of the kids shirt tightly where someone else gripped the left, preventing him from budging.
"Fuck are y'all doin'?" another voice rang out. The group turned where it came from and saw Roark walking back, "I told y'all to get my fuckin' money."
"Right here, boss. Look who we got coming our way, aye?" Jai said as he tossed him the money they found. Catching it with ease, Roark pocketed it then looked at who they had. Instantly, his eyes lit up. In no time at all, Roark was in front of the kid, where he bent down in front of him with a smirk.
"Why do you keep insisting on coming down here? You know it's nothing but trouble. Usually you'd be fine.. but now you're alone. And being alone here isn't something you want."
"I'm not scared of you." the kid said quickly.
"You are. You're not in a good spot. See, there's two ways this could go." Roark said with a pause. Reaching into his pocket, Roark pulled out a similar blade as the one that Ty had been given yesterday. Flipping it open, Roark waved the blade tauntingly in front of him, "You work for me. Or.. the other way.." he said, gently pressing the knife to the kids throat with a sinister smirk.
"I ain't gonna run drugs for you." Noah said without breaking his staredown with Roark. After a moment, Roark let out a small chuckle. Pulling the knife from his throat, he closed the blade and then passed it to Ty, who pocketed it.
(BEGINNING OF KIDS "TORTURE"))
"I love this kid. I was kind of hoping you'd say that." Roark said quietly. Standing up, Roark turned around and leaned against the wall. Like Grace, Roark snapped his fingers. Before the kid could react, everyone pounced him. Ty and the other guy, whom he began to recognize as Merc from the fight last night when he was beat into Frostbite, pushed him backwards and held him down.
"Give us your shoes, kid!" someone else yelled. Ty laughed and watched as the kid struggled against them all, trying his best to kick free of them. In almost no time at all, his clean, white sneakers were ripped from his feet before they were thrown to the side. With one of his free hands, Ty pressed the kids head down against the pavement, uncaring if he was hurting him or not.
"No! Not my sneakers!" he yelled. Looking up, Ty watched as Amber pushed her way through before kneeling next to the kid. She brought the flame on her tail closer to him before Merc lifted his shirt slightly. With his flesh exposed, Amber brought the flame to rest on his bare belly, a pained scream coming from him as he was burned from the flame.
"All you gotta do is say yes, kid! Come on, do it and we'll be done!" she told him. Getting no response from him, Amber gripped his shirt and ripped it in clean in half right down the middle of it. She then brought her tail up to his chest and rested it on it again, this time for a longer amount of time.
Noah wailed in pain as his flesh seared from the heat. When she pulled away, Ty grimaced at what he saw. The skin definitely looked messed up and he knew the kid was hurting. But even if he was, no tears showed on the kids face. "Well? What's it gonna be?" she asked.
Again, no response came. Looking up to Ty and Merc, she gave them a small nod, where the two flipped the boy over to his stomach. He groaned from the pain as his untreated burns came in contact with the dirt and rough pavement below. Ty forcefully pushed his head into the ground so he couldn't move while Merc lifted up the back of his shirt, exposing his back.
"Get off me!" he yelled below them.
"Say yes then, kid." Amber told him. She brought her tail right to the middle of his back and hovered over it. Even inches away, Ty felt the heat of her flame and almost felt bad for him for having to endure the actual flame on his flesh. Almost. He was related to someone in Plasma, and if that were true, he was nothing to Ty.
"Fuck off!" he yelled. Ty watched as Amber recoiled from his choice of words then smirked.
"Now you're done." she said before slamming her tail into him. Unlike before, the flame never hit his back. Instead, a large portion of her tail had just slammed into him. The kid coughed below Ty and Merc, who both laughed at him because they both knew Amber was someone you didn't disrespect. Not like that.
"You have one chance to apologize before I ignite you where you lay," Amber threatened. He remained silent minus the groans of pain. "Say sorry before I kill you where you lay!" she demanded, slamming her tail into him once more with a sickening thud. They all laughed at the defenseless kid, laughing that he continued to try and break free. He was tiny compared to Ty and Merc, and outrunning all these people and Pokémon.. it wouldn't have happened.
"Fine. Say goodnight, kid." Amber growled. Standing up, she nodded to two of the other Frostbite members who gripped the kids feet and forced his legs together. Amber stepped over them and towered over the kid. The flame on her tail had amplified ten times in size and heat, and Ty knew what she was going to do.
Opening her maw slowly, flames slowly crackled free from the sides. She was going to use a Flamethrower and kill this kid the exact same way she killed that Plasma member last night when he was on top of Ty. Ty was sickened she was going to actually kill him.. but he loved every second of it. He'd always been the one people hurt and picked on. Now.. he was the bully. And he loved it.
((END OF "TORTURE"))
"What the fuck is going on?" a deep voice called out. Just before the flames were let loose, the group stopped what they were doing and looked up from their victim. There, not too far down the street, were members of Team Plasma. "Y'all looking for trouble?"
"No fucking way. This keeps getting better and better.." Roark said to himself, pushing himself off the wall. Turning his head to the group, he nodded to them where they let the kid up. One by one, all the Frostbite members present formed a line around Roark. Taking a few steps back, he gripped the boy by the shirt and pulled him forward, showing who they had, "Been a while, hasn't it, Marcus?" Roark asked.
Getting into the line between Amber and Jai, with Marlee down at his feet, Ty counted thirteen Plasma members, with five of them being Pokémon. Ty looked at his group and counted twelve of his own, with four being Pokémon. The odds were relatively the same. Turning back to his enemies, Ty took notice how they all stood, as if ready to fight. Not one looked intimidated. However, one stuck out in particular.
While they all had relatively the same attire, black and dark gray clothing with military-esque hats, the one in the middle stuck out most. He was in a pair of long, tight, black pants with a belt snugly around him. He had a faded blue hoodie that was tucked into his pants. The hood of his hoodie was over his head where a black X was. On the middle of his jacket was the signature Team Plasma logo. Standing next to him was a Liepard, just like the one they had taken just last night. Ty knew he was an Admin of Team Plasma.
The Plasma Admin's eyes went wide when he saw who they had. Roark held him tightly by the collar of his shirt as the others slowly advanced on them. "I'll tell you one time, and one time only. Let him go, or you will all die the worst deaths imaginable." Marcus threatened. He continued his advance on them all, the grunts right behind him.
"No.. I don't think I will. When I'm done with you all, I'll be taking him with me as a little trophy of sorts. You all think you're tough when you're in your big groups. Well.. now we're even. You want him?" Roark smirked at him. "Come get him."
"You're going to regret messing with my little brother.." Marcus said, glaring at Roark. The two stood toe to toe with one another, neither backing down from their stare. Just as with Roark and Marcus, everyone else stood against each other, waiting for the first punch to be thrown.
A woman stood in front stood in front of Ty. Just from how she stood showed she wasn't intimidated by him at all. Her long, blonde hair hung freely against her shoulders until she raised her hands to it before putting it in a ponytail. Looking down just slightly, Ty saw a small, orange, bipedal Pokémon. Its small paws gripped around its waist, where it held its loose skin up. It almost looked like it was wearing pants. The Scraggy stood eye level with Marlee, who had just an equal amount of hate for the Pokémon in front of her as it did for her.
"Grace, listen to me. There's too many Dark-types. You're in danger here. No matter what happens, Marcus is not walking away from here. I want you to follow the kid home. Do not get seen. When he's home, you get back to the hideout. Do you understand?" Roark told her. Ty was confused why he was able to hear him until he realized Grace must have linked all their minds together.
"I'm not leaving you all-"
"That is a direct order. I lost one friend in the past day already and I refuse to lose another."
"..Okay. I will." Grace said after a moment of thought.
"Come off it. We got our old hideout back from you guys last night. Seven of us killed.. how many of you?" Roark mocked Marcus. "We're deadly. We fucked you guys massively against uneven numbers. Do you really want to try us when there's even more of us and less of you?"
Marcus never answered. The streets were eerily quiet except for the sounds of Pokémon growling at one another. Ty could feel the heat coming from Marlee as she moved ever so closer to Ty, as if protecting him from the girl and her Pokémon. He didn't know why she was being so defensive of him. He just hoped she'd be able to protect herself.
"Noah, run!" Marcus suddenly yelled out. In an instant, the little kid Roark had been holding suddenly grabbed Roark by the arm before biting down on it hard. As if that was the signal to go, Marcus pushed past his little brother and tackled Roark to the ground, where the fight finally broke out.
People and Pokémon all lunged at one-another with fists and claws raised. Titan and Marcus' Liepard both battled with each other, the two sending out their own respective attacks. As if it was nothing to him, Jai was effortlessly weaving in and out of two smaller grunts, throwing his own jabs and kicks when he was able. Amber was toe to toe with a Scafty, the two fighting in a mutual hand-to-hand combat that even surprised Ty that she knew.
As Marlee dived at the Scraggy, the Pokémon's trainer dove at Ty. He could tell just by how lazily she threw herself at him that she wasn't going to be much of a problem. When she got into arm's reach, Ty grabbed her by her mid-section with one arm and held her in place. With his free hand, Ty punched her with as much force as he could, hoping to take this girl out as quickly as he could.
The girl struggled beneath him but she was nothing to Ty. However, after the second swing, Ty felt a hand on his shoulder, where he was pulled free from the girl. The second he turned, he saw a fist coming straight at him, and soon after, felt it collide with his jaw. The impact of it sent him stumbling, but he quickly regained himself. Once he did, he eyed the assailant up and down and saw he was of equal build as Ty.
"Come on, fuckhead," he taunted. The guy shook his hands as he bounded around, not giving Ty time to recover. He felt himself get tackled right to the ground, where another fist slammed right into the same spot as just seconds ago. Unlike the last, this one actually hurt him a little bit. Perhaps it was because it was the same spot, or because he had more leverage against him, Ty didn't know. What Ty knew is that he had to get out of where he was or he'd be in trouble.
Wrapping his arms around the man, Ty pulled him close before forcing him to roll, where Ty was soon on top. Raising his right leg, Ty brought his knee crushing down into the mans groin. He lowered his hands to where Ty's knee was as he groaned in agony. His groans quickly silenced as a loud slap resonated Ty's ears. The back of Ty's hand stung from how hard he had backhanded the man in the cheek, but he smirked just as much as his hand hurt.
This man deserved nothing more than a bitchslap.
"T-.. Ty.." a voice called out to him. Though it was very faint and ragged, Ty looked up at where he heard it from. What he saw not only hurt him, but enraged him. The Scraggy Marlee had charged at had her in a deadly chokehold with her own bandana, preventing her from breathing. Its tiny arms held her head in place as the Pokémon used its massive strength to continue to choke her out. He saw Marlee desperately trying to break free, but her movements continually grew slower and less noticeable.
Before he knew what happened, Ty was at her side. With a precision he'd never expected, Ty brought his foot back before slamming his foot into the Pokémon's head. Instantly, it let go of Marlee as it went flying like a football across to the other side of the street. When the Pokémon made absolutely no effort to get up, Ty bent down to Marlee and untied the bandana around her where she took in massive gulps of air.
Marlee's chest burned and ached, and not from the fire within her. Her eyes watered as she slowly recovered herself. "Are you okay?.." Ty asked worriedly. She looked up at him as she panted and nodded quickly.
"Yeah.. yeah, I am.. Don't worry about me.. I owe you one.." she continued to breath heavily. She looked up at the Pokémon who almost took her life before growling deeply, "I'm.. not done with him.." she said before getting up. He wanted to know what she was going to do but his attention was brought from the small Vulpix as he felt someone stumble from walking into him.
Looking up, he saw it was Roark and Marcus. The two had their arms locked together as they both struggled with one another. For a moment, Roark would have the upper hand, then Marcus would. Scrambling to his feet, Ty rushed over to the two and reached at Marcus. Grabbing around his shoulders, he pulled him off Roark and held him where he stood, leaving Marcus exposed to him.
Without hesitation, Roark slammed his fist into the man's gut. Then again. And then a third time. Marcus let out a huge cough with each hit, showing that Roark was hitting him hard each time. With each punch, more and more wind was knocked from his body. "Yeah.. not so tough now, huh?" Roark mocked before giving him a fourth blow to the stomach. Backing up from him, he waved his arms around with a smirk, "See? We won.. again.. And in no time at all.. You're.. all weak.. Nothing to us.." he panted.
"Uhh.. Roark.." Amber spoke up with her own pants. Turning to her, he saw her pointing at a Frostbite member who laid against next to one of the buildings walls. He was unmoving and had a very small puddle of blood next to him, along with on the wall. "Ash didn't survive. One of them bashed his head against the wall repeatedly and it.. just.."
"I get it, I get it.. Fuck!" Roark exclaimed ashe brought his hands up to his head. "Two fucking friends! You've taken two friends of mine in the past fucking day!"
"And we'll keep taking more, motherfucker," Marcus said with a bloody smirk. "Just you wait and see.."
"You know what.." Roark said before suddenly turning to Ty. He quickly ran next to Ty and reached into his pocket where he pulled out the pocket knife he'd given him only a few minutes ago. He opened the blade and, in an instant, shoved it right into the gut of Marcus, where blood quickly began to stain his white clothes. "You die here.." he said before pulling the blade free.
Ty watched as the blood quickly began to change his clothes to a red. With each stab from Roark, Ty felt less and less resistance from Marcus. After the tenth stab, Roark backed away with the bloodied blade in hand. Looking past Marcus, Roark nodded to Ty who let him go. Marcus' fell to the ground in an almost lifeless pile. His chest barely rose with each breath.
Roark bent down and grabbed the man by his hair. He viciously pulled him across the street and sat him against the wall next to Ash's body. Even through the pain of the stabbing, Marcus continued to smile. Roark stood over him before he turned to the others, "Get back to the hideout. Jai. Titan. With me." he said.
Doing as told, Ty looked for Marlee who came walking over to him. Her maw was bloodied and he didn't know if it was her own blood or not. He just hoped that it wasn't. He picked her up in his arms and carried her back to the car that Ty had drove on the way here. Merc climbed into the front seat with Ty behind him. The last thing Ty saw before they left was the twisted smirk of Marcus before Roark stabbed the knife into his neck.
In one quick swipe, Marcus' neck was sliced open.
