Part32: An arm and a leg
- a month later in the forests of varidian -
Will pried Gardie from the pincers grasp causing her to let out a scream " Master " , He pulled her free his left arm getting caught in its vicegrip . She held her baby closely " good the baby's ok " , Will winced trying to free his arm . Oh it got free alright but not in the way he wanted it to , He fell back writhing and screaming in pain as Gardie watched in horror . The pincer devoured the torn of half of his arm happily , Will held the stump of what was left of it cringing violently . She wept as he passed out lifting him up " master please be ok " , she teleported the 3 to a medical facility .
When he awoke he saw Gardie sitting there her right leg heavily taped " broken leg Gardie ? " , She nodded " not as bad off as you though " . She kissed him sobbing " you didn't have to save me but you did anyway " , He sat up looking at the bandaged stump of a left arm " what kind of friend would I be if I hadn't " . He got off of his bed and back to his feet groaning " man this sucks so badly " , a soft rapping came apon the door " may I come in " . The door creaked open revealing shelly with a bunch of flowers " just came to see if you were " , he turned away holding his arm . He didn't want her to see him like this broken and in tears , she reached out a hand " are you ok Will " . He inhaled sharply jumping through the window , Gardie growled " Master " . He ran off into the hollows of the town cutting off any mental communication with her , Shelly clasped her hand " what's wrong with him " .
Gardie looked like she was going to let go of a million emotions " he saved me and lost his arm in the process " , She set the infant down on the bed " he didn't want someone he cares about seeing him like he was " . Shelly sat down " so all those scars were from that " , Gardie opened her mind showing her some of Wills memories " see " . Shelly drew back gasping " oh my he has certainly had problems " , Gardie nodded " and never once despite all that has he been this depressed " . She sat back " if I could walk I would go after him " , Shelly patted her shoulder " He just needs time " .
Time .. that was all he ever had and all he had ever known before her .. time in the darkness .. time all alone .. broken and cold unfeeling time
