4) Under Lock and Key
Princess Lemon

Umi walked briskly through the castle as she made her way to Clef's room. It was several days after Hikaru and Lantis had left to seek out the garden from Fuu's dream and the couple had yet to return. Even so, both Umi and Fuu could sense an change in Hikaru yet were unable to determine if this was a good thing or not. It wasn't an "Oh my freaking god, Hiakru's in danger!" feelings, but they could tell that something had happened. As soon as Clef heard about this, he sent word that Umi was to sent to the mediatation chamber where he awaited her arrival. With Lafarga's guidance, Umi soon found her destination and knocked on the giant white doors three times.

"Come in," came Clef's voice on the other side and Umi pushed lightly on the doors which groaned open under her gentle touch. Umi entered the forty foot tall octagon shapped white room to find Clef in the middle of the room, sitting on a nest of pillows with a serious look of contemplation on his face while holding onto his staff, keeping it erect and it appeared almost as it he was leaning againt it. Behind him, some ten feet away, Lucinda had errected a small stone alter that resembled an outdoor stove. She was on her knees, bowing to the flames while chanting something in giberish. This time, she wore a white sports bra with white strech pants, white slippers, white arm bands and a glittery white veil over the bottom half of her face. Seeing as how she's working with fire, her long white hair has been pulled back into a long braid which has been pinned against the back of her head.

Umi foucused her attention on him as she walked towards him. She stopped only two feet away from the edge of the pillows and looked down at him with this worried look on her face. At the same moment, Lucinda held up what appeared to be a Barbie doll. It was wearing an Hawaiian outfit while the hands and feet were bound by dental floss...that was dyed green.

"You called for me?" she asked and he nodded before looking up at her.
"Yes. Can you tell me if you've had any preminitions like Fuu's?" Clef asked and Umi shook her head, "I'm afraid not."

Lucinda casted the doll to the flames, sacraficing it to the fire gods as she chanted something to the effect of "Burn Barbie, Burn".

"Are you sure? Anything you remember could help," Clef said, almost pleadingly. Umi stood there with this deep look of thought as she attempted to think back. While Umi was doing this, Lucinda's ritual had horribly backfired. Lucinda jumped back as the flames flared up and then took a human form...and it didn't look to happy either as it stood there glaring at Lucinda with the melted Barbie in its left hand. Next thing everyone knew, Lucinda was being chased around the room by the fire being as it kept shouting "This is not a suitable sacrafice" while hitting her on the head with the melted Barbie and she kept shouting "I'm Sorry" over and over again as they ran around the room. This lasted only for a few moments before Umi finally lost her cool and turned directly to Lucinda.

"Will you two please just shut up!" Umi shouted. Lucinda skidded to a stop and looked right back at Umi with this look of wide eye surprise. The fire figure took this chance to smack Lucinda over the head one last time with the melted Barbie before he returned to the alter where it vanished.

"Ow!" Lucinda cried out while rubbing the sore spot on her head.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Clef demanded as he go to his feet.
"Huh? You can see me?" Lucinda asked as she bliked her eyes twice in surprise.
"Of course we can see you. Now, who the hell are you?" Umi asked and Lucinda tsked several times.
"Such awful manners in the face of authority."
"Authority?" Clef asked.
"Yes, I am one her majesties Rainbow Guard. My name is Lucinda White, pleased to make your aquantince," she said and bowed slightly while tucking her left arm behind her back and keeping her right arm level with her chest while she tucked her right foot behind her left foot.

"Lucinda White?" Clef asked.
"Yes, I am a Cupid and I am here to do my duty as such," Lucinda said as she stood back up.
"Cupid? I thought you were smaller, half dressed with wings and toted around a bow and arrow," Umi said as the classical image appeared in her mind.

"Don't confusse me with my ancestors, what you see is what I am," Lucinda said in a frosty tone.
"Then, you must be the one who brought Umi and the others back," Clef said.
"Bingo," Lucinda said with a bright smile, 'Oh gods, I sound like Photon,' she thought to herself.

"But why?" Umi asked.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm a cupid and thus it is my job to bring people together...though, I'm not to sure how well of a job I did with Fuu and Ferio though, since they didn't really need my help," Lucinda said thoughtfully.

"Then that was you in Fuu's dreams," Umi said.
"Right again, but I have to admit. The NutterButters weren't my idea. I think she was having a peanut butter craving at the time or something," Lucinda said.

"If you're here, then it appears as if we've sent Lantis and Hikaru on a wild goose chase," Clef said with a heavy voice.

"Not necessarily," Lucinda said.
"What do you mean?" Umi asked.
"Well, I followed Hikaru and Lantis when they left and just before they reached the gardens I appeared to them and helped them get closer together," Lucinda said.

"You what?" Umi asked and Lucinda looked at her with that half eye look from the animes.
"I got them to finally admit to the love they had for each other," Lucinda said blandly and then her mode changed to very chipper whhe ahe added, "And as a special bonus they made love for the first time."

"What!?" Umi exclaimed as Clef gasped.
"What? It's a natural thing for people in love to do."
"Not if you make them..." Umi started.
"I didn't force them! They only followed their own feelings! All I did was provide a bed for them to use," Lucinda said.

"I presum this means you watched them...procreate them," Clef said with a light cough in between the pause. Lucinda nodded and Umi's face turned three shades of red.

"Oh come on, we're all adults here," Lucinda said.
"Still..." Umi started, the blush had left her face a little yet still remained on her cheeks.
"Still nothing, all I did was my job and there's nothing wrong with that," Lucinda said.
"Then I suposse now that you're job is done you'll be leaving," Clef said.
"You suposse wrong, there is one more couple for me to bring together," Lucinda said with a sly grin.

"Oh? And just who are they?" Umi asked boldly with her hands on her hips, which only made Lucinda grin.

"You two," Lucinda said.
"What!?" both Umi and Clef gasped.
"You heard me, you two aren't leaving this room untill love is proclaimed," Lucinda said and with a snap of her fingers the doors slammed shut and the sounds of locks locking echoed in the tall room.

"You can't do that!" Umi shouted.
"Oh yes I can, I'm a white cupid," Lucinda said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Umi demaned.
Lucinda groaned and put her hand to her head as if she was having a headache, "The Rainbow Guard isn't just a official title, it means that the five us are assigned a different color. There's pink, blue, red, black and white. Pink is for spontanious love, blue is for sorrowful love, red is for passionate love, black is for taboo love and white is for true love. I carry the title of the White Cupid, I bring together people who are meant to be together and since you two are my final cha in in this realm that means you two are meant to be together," Lucinda said.

"You've got to be kidding," Umi said.
"I'm afraid she's telling the truth," Clef said as he gripped his staff.
"Clef?" Umi asked.
"A long time ago, I came across a person who had came in contact with one of the other cupids. What she says is true," Clef said.

"I see," Umi said.
"See? See? I'm real! I'm not just some figment of your imagination," Lucinda said.
"Fine, you're a cupid," Umi said.
"Good, now I'll just leave you two to blossom," Lucinda said with a big smile before she turned to her right and walked right through the wall.

"Did she just walk right through a wall?" Umi asked.
"Yes, she did," Clef said with a heavy sigh as he walked back to the pillows and sat back down.
"Oh for the love of shrimp and tea biscuts. Umi, I thought it was your dream to become a bride," Lucinda's voice said out of thin air and Clef looked up at Umi.

"Is this true?" he asked and Umi noded, "Yes, it is," she said, faintly aware of the blush on her face.
"Why are you so embarrased by this?" Clef asked.
"Because it's so much simplier than than Hikaru's and Fuu's,"m Umi said with a slight pout.
"I don't think that's something to be embarassed about," Clef said.
"You don't?"
"Yes. Umi, this is your dream and only you can follow it. You musn't be put off by what others want to do with their lives when you must live your own." Umi mulled over this in her head for a moment before she looked back at Clef with a smile, "You're right Clef. I should be true to myself and follow my own dreams." From the other side of the doors, Lucinda smiled as she held out her hands. The glowing red string appeared once again, woven between her fingers and attached to her two charges. With a swift pull, she drew the strings taunt and the two inside the room felt as if they were being drawn together yet they were sitting still.

"Clef, I love you," Umi said, the words slipping out her mouth before she could even stop them. This was followed by a small gasp from her and a look of surprise from Clef.

"Umi?" he asked and she sighed, seeing as how she should continue now that she had spilled the beans.
"Clef, that is what I wanted to tewll you the day the pillar system was replaced by the people of Cephiro...but I was unable to say it back then," she said and sat there as she waited for his response...whicn she didn't have to wait to long for.

"Umi, I love you to," he said.
"You do?" she asked and he nodded with a smile. She smiled back and the two looked into each other's eyes for a moment before they let the feeling of being drawn together take over. The two were soon in each other's arms and swept up into an passionate kiss which started out with just lips crushing against each other before Umi initiated a French Kiss that both surprised and pleased Clef as his hands began to massage Umi's chest. She moaned under his ministrations and only pulled back a bit so as to unbotton her shirt so as to allow him more access to her chest, thus breaking the kiss as the two worked on the buttons. As soon as the clothing was off her torso, Clef returned his attention to her chest. He taunted the nipple on one breast with his fingers while he teased the other with his mouth.

Umi moaned again as she reveled in the feelings this was producing in her body. She returned the favour by slipping a hand under his robes and wrapping her fingers around his length only to stroke them up and down his fleash in a slow and steady matter, teasing the most sensitive areas of his growing errection. He moaned under her ministrations as she pushed him back and pulled out his cloths to leave him exposed to the world. Clef was a little quizical as to what to do next but with a little guidance from his Water Sprite, he was soon nose deep in her flower and teasing out her honey with flicks of his tounge and suckling from his lips. The electric waves returned to torment Umi as she was swept further out into the lake known as Pleasure. It wasn't long before Clef found the right combonation of teasing the brought Umi to the edge and made her body shudder with her first orgasim which rewarded him with her sweet cream which he hungrily lapped up.

"That was beautiful," Umi said as she smiled up at Clef who was now sitting between her legs.

"Hardly. I enjoy oral pleasure, especially from you," Umi said as she leaned down to give him another kiss before turning the tables on him once again.

Outside, Lucinda looked in the whole sceen with pride in her work.

"Another job well done," said a male voice and Lucinda whirled around to find Victor Blue.
"Victor. Tell me, how was the Cowboy Bebop realm?" she asked.
"A little hazordus for my taste but I believe my job is done there," he said.
"And now that mine is done, it's time for you to step in."
"Yes, there are two hearts in need of comfort...and both of them are heading to the gardens."
"Then I guess that's where you're heading next. I'll see you..." Lucinda started to say with a light bow.

"No Lucinda, our Princess wants you to stay here a bit longer," Victor said.
"Why is that?" Lucinda asked.
"Because, something is heading our way that we need to be looking out for."
"What would that be?"
"Something green...and like us," Victor said and walked off towards the gardens as he left behind a puzzled Lucinda.
