Last time on Exotic:

He accepted the pillow and put it at the head of the bed, lying his head down on it. He thought to ask her about their plans for the next day but was suddenly hard as a rock when he realized that the pillow now smelled like Ester. His brain was working overtime now as scenes of the woman in various sexual positions flashed thru his mind. He drifted off to sleep wondering if she tasted as good as she smelled.

Chapter 4 – Sugar High

As usual, Ester woke up precisely at 4:30 A.M. Some would wonder how her inner clock would wake her up at the time she was accustomed to; after all, she was in another country. Those that knew her well, however, would say that it was typical. She slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake the boy that was sleeping more soundly than he probably had in years. That was her gift to him, for she had never been the type to need someone to sleep with her.

She got out a fresh set of baggy sweats and discarded the satin she had worn to bed. She put on the heavy clothes and grabbed her running shoes and a pair of socks, then quietly left the room. She stopped once in the hallway, and put the articles on. Walking downstairs, she stopped long enough to stretch her legs out on the bottom step and put her hair up in a high ponytail before heading to the door.

Suddenly a hand grabbed her wrist while another hand went to cover her mouth. She just stood there. She didn’t try to scream, her breathing remained the same. This intrigued the man, and he leaned in his head to whisper to her as he moved his hands away from her body.

“You must be my Christmas present.”

Ester turned her head to take a look at her captor. She could just barely make out his cropped, messy white hair and his gleaming golden eye.

“And you must be the prize behind door number two.”

He gave her a quizzical look. “If you’re going out, I want to go with you.”

“I was just going for a run but I will be gone for awhile. You’re welcome to join me.”

“How long is awhile?”

“Well, it’s almost 5 now, so I will be back at about 8.”

“You’re gonna run for three hours”, he asked her incredulously.

“Of course. Think you can keep up with me?”

He grunted. “I’ll try my damnedest.”

They did indeed make it back to the ‘Schwartz Compound’, as Farfarello had dubbed it, by 8 but it was only because Ester had blocked the pain and exhaustion sensors in his brain. He was physically fit, but did not have the obvious stamina she did. She ordered him to take a shower and meet her back down in the kitchen in 45 minutes. He didn’t have the strength to argue with her at the time so he drug himself up the stairs after her.

Ester made her way thru Nagi’s room, gathering her clothes for the day and went into the bathroom. She managed to take her shower and get dressed without interruption this time. Nagi was a good kid, but he was, after all, just a kid. She was going to have to find him a cute little high school chick. Of course, she would have to get to know him better first so that she could steer him in the right direction. With that thoughtmindmind she made her way back downstairs.

She had just started pulling items from the refrigerator when Farfarello made his appearance. Soliciting his help, she began to prepare brunch for the sleepy heads. He seemed to have made a decent recovery, considering she had pushed his body past its normal limit. They talked while they cooked, and Ester actually found out a lot about the mysterious man. By the time the food was almost done, she knew about his past and he knew some of the enigma that surrounded her. He even knew that she was a preacher’s daughter, and for some reason it didn’t faze him.

Precisely at ten, Ester opened the door to allow Kat in. The two girls hugged and then Ester took her coat and hung it up.

“We have three sleeping beauties upstairs, and brunch is ready. Plus we have a new friend”, Ester stated as she led her friend past the living room and into the den. “What do you say we have a little fun with Farfarello?”

The man in question was standing by the stereo, looking thru the binder of cds that Ester had brought down. He briefly glanced up from selecting the morning wake up call before going back to flipping through the pages.

“Don’t mind him, Kat. He’s just exhausted.”

“Starting in already?”

“No. He ran with me this morning.”

“Wow, I’m impressed!”

Kat walked over to the Irishman and poked her finger at his shoulder. He shot his head up and looked at her more closely. She wasn’t afraid of him, just like Brad’s cousin hadn’t been fearful. There was something special about these two. He realized he was thinking hard about two women, and he didn’t even know their na

“What do they call you”, he questioned the dark beauty that stood before him.

“I’m Kat, and this is…”, she turned towards her friend for an answer.

“Heaven. For these friends I will be Heaven”, she replied as she made her way over to him. “And I think I know the exact song to wake the narcoleptics up.”

Finding the cd she wanted, she put it in the player and turned up the volume as far as it would go. Heavy beats came crashing out of the speakers as the industrial noise began.

“You are all special”, began Kat. “Only a select few get to call her Heaven, and even fewer get to listen to TKK with her.”

You drag me across your open wounds
I am on my last limb, I’m on my last limb
Stuck in the mainstream pseudo dude
You are on your last limb, You’re on your last limb

Heaven belted out the verse as she danced her way over to the door to listen for signs of life from upstairs. She then danced back to Kat and Farfarello. She lightly shoved them together as she continued to dance around the room. Taking her cue, Kat started dancing with him; her body gliding up and down his. That was the scene that greeted the now huffing Brad. Schuldig and Nagi weren’t far behind. They just stood there dumbfounded as the redhead danced up to them, still singing.

Xian zombie vampyre
I am the Father, the Father of nothing

The song had all but ended, and Kat reached over to stop the cd. Ester simply smiled and announced that brunch was ready. She brushed past Brad, who now looked as if he was going to blow a valve, and greeted Schuldig and Nagi.

“Did you both sleep well”, she asked with a hint of amusement, before leaving them as well and heading into the kitchen.

Brad stood there, fuming. He couldn’t do what he wanted to do to Farfarello in front of Kat, and he couldn’t get Kat away from the crazed man without seeming over protective. So instead he walked away, muttering to Schuldig as he passed by.

“Get that fucking maniac back upstairs before I come back”, he hissed. What he heard coming from the kitchen stopped him in his tracks.

“Jei, sweetie, could you please come here? I need you and Kat to help me get everything on the table.”

Jei? Jei? What the fuck? No one ever calls him that!

Brad spun around to watch Farfarello coming out of the den, Kat in hand. There was nothing any of them could do. Ester was their guest. Besides, not one of them could have turned her or Kat down. They just stood there dumbfounded. Finally, Brad and Nagi started moving towards the common room, leaving the German to think about his own mistake.

I knew I should never have let him out.

After eating, Ester, Kat and Nagi washed the dishes before going up to his room, leaving the other three inhabitants to find their own fun. Nagi didn’t know what was going to happen, but he knew it wasn’t going to be boring. The trio lay on the bed, looking thru the bag of goodies that Kat had brought over. Nagi felt like he had he had been traveling thru the desert and finally come upon an oasis. There were bags of chocolates, all varieties of Little Debbie snack cakes, hard candy, suckers, and Pepperidge Farm Tahoe cookies. Those were Kat’s favorite.

“I don’t mean to sound unappreciative, but why is there yummy sweetness scattered all over my bed”, Nagi asked as he picked up an Oatmeal Pie, unwrapped it, and shoved it into his mouth. He was normally very reserved, but it had been a long time since he had been able to indulge.

“Because Kat and I can’t resist a good sugar rush and Brad obviously doesn’t keep anything like this in the house. That’s why I asked Kat to bring the stash.”

After eating a good deal of the snacks, all three ran around the room in a sugar induced frenzy. Brad had just gotten Farfarello back in his room and restrained and was passing by on his way to his own room to get a shower when he heard the giggling and loud footfalls coming from the boy’s room. He tried to open the door to see what was going on, but the handle wouldn’t turn. They had locked him out. Schuldig chose that moment to open his door. Little did he know that Brad was going to let out all his frustrations on the redhead. Schuldig had let Farfarello out, plus he was eyeing his cousin WAY too much. Brad ran at him, tackling the man to the ground. To Brad’s horror, Kat came out of Nagi’s room to see what all the commotion was and saw the American sprawled on top of the German.

“You know, you should do stuff like that in private. You might scare the boy.”

She had gone back into the bedroom and locked the door once more before the two men could even blink. Brad got off Schuldig as fast as he possibly could and went back down the hall to his room. Schuldig stood there thinking about all that had happened since Ester had come to stay with them. Brad was even more uptight, but Farfarello and Nagi had really seemed to come out of their shells. He wondered what was in store for him. Wandering back downstairs, he grabbed his coat before heading out to meet with his friend, Yohji.

Back in Nagi’s room, they were lying on the bed once again, coming down from the rush. Kat was absent mindedly stroking Nagi’s hair as she looked thru the journal Heaven had been keeping. The two girls had put Nagi in the middle again with Heaven facing the opposite way as the other two. That put her feet near Nagi’s head and he had been tickling her lightly, making her toes wiggle. Every once in awhile she would jerk her feet away from him. On one of those occasions, he got his finger caught in her anklet and squeaked out; surprised at the situation but also that he had forgotten she wore the chain. He reached out to finger the silver jewelry, noticing that there was a name plate on it that read ‘Heaven’.

“Are you called Heaven”, he asked.

“By some, yes. I have already decided that the men in this house can call me that if they like.”

“I think the name suits you, just like Kitty suits Kat. I can see how Kat got the name you call her, but how did you acquire yours?”

“I gave it to her”, replied Kat as she sat up. “Because she is my angel and heaven is where she put me…she saved me once…”, Kat drifted off.

“Once our friends heard her call me that, the name just stuck.”

“I noticed that you wore that shirt with Heaven across it. Promoting yourself”, the boy questioned teasingly.

“Something like that.”

“Her ego is huge. Don’t feed it, Nagi. Once you start she’ll try to bleed you dry.”

Heaven just laughed. It had been so long since her friend had opened up enough to joke around. She was happy that this atmosphere was allowing her to relax, and secretly hoping that most of it was due to her presence. Her laughter died down just in time to hear her cell phone ring. Running to retrieve it, she answered thonehone on the third ring.

“Crawford.”

Nagi sat up in the bed and looked over at Kat. They both appeared to hate being able to only hear one side of the conversation. Heaven listened for awhile before speaking again.

“No, I understand. This actually helps, as I can spend more time with my K”, s”, she said as she turned and winked at Kat.

“Yes, call again if I can be of service.”

Ending the call, Heaven sat back down on the bed. “We need to go shopping.”

“Staying awhile”, asked Kat.

“Yes, that was Aunt Sabrina. Seems my job has come through.” She turned to Nagi and kissed him on the cheek. “I hope you like me a lot now, Nagi, because I think that soon you’ll change your mind.”

“Why would I not like you?”

“Because after the Christmas break, I’ll be your new Trig instructor.”

Nagi just sat there as the two girls got up and got ready to go to the mall. Heaven was going to need to expand her wardrobe, and she also needed to find a permanent home. As much as she liked spending time with the men in this house, once she became a teacher at Nagi’s school, she would no longer be able to stay here.

“Coming, Nagi? We need to replenish our stash and you can select what you want this time”, called out Kat.

“Yes, I’m coming”, replied Nagi.

He stood up and walked out of the room, but they could tell he was on auto-pilot. They were outside and almost to Kat’s Mitsubishi Endeavor before his eyes lit up.

“Can we go to the computer software store too?”

“Of course, anything for you”, both girls purred at once.
