Machinations

Zechs leaned against the door to his OZ owned apartment and sighed. Despite feeling better physically than he had for months, there was something heavy weighing on him. Fear. He was worried that Treize would find out and do something horrific to Aya. Still, there had to be some sort of heart in the Aryan man.

Shaking his head, he walked into the dark kitchenette and opened the fridge. It had been emptied, everything replaced with a sinful looking lemon-merengue pie which was drizzled with bright red raspberry sauce. A small note was set in front of the pie. “Waiting to eat it with you. -T.,” it said. Puzzled, the blond bombshell shut the refrigerator. He turned and bumped lightly into Treize himself. Zechs started slightly and took a step back.

“Don’t do that,” he admonished. “You scared me half to death!”

“Forgive me, Milliardo. I intended to do nothing of the kind.”

“Are you here for that pie?” Zechs asked, wondering why else the vampire would be in his apartment. It would be feeding time, one way or another.

“Yes, I am indeed.” The ginger haired general took the pie out of the fridge and sauntered into the younger man’s bedroom. “This way, please.”

Curious, Zechs followed. Treize was in the bathroom when he entered his bedroom, the pie sitting in the center of his crimson linens. He wondered briefly if Treize truly intended to eat the thing. Deciding not, he slipped out of his clothes and crawled around the pie towards the pillows. Leaning against the headboard, he closed his eyes and waited.

Cool fingers wrapped around the creamy ankle that was extended beyond the pie and slowly pulled Zechs away from his resting place. He didn’t bother to open his eyes. Thade ade Treize grin. Just seeing his lover lounging so serenely had made him semi-hard. He walked on his knees to the pie and lowered his hardening penis into the cool, whipped pudding. Pulling himself out, he bit back a sigh, then lowered himself back in through more of the filling. The general licked at the washboard stomach beneath his lips, then pushed himself onto his hands and knees. Crawling quickly around to Zechs’ head, he pressed the tip of his throbbing cock into the other’s slightly parted lips.

Zechs languidly took the head into his mouth, then sucked vehemently, causing Treize to groan. The blond instinctively spread his thighs at the noise, a sight that caused the penis in his mouth to twitch. He released the head, trailing his tongue up the nerve along the back side, earning him another soft moan. Reaching up with one hand, he stroked the hard length as he took one of the balls into his mouth and molested it with his tongue. He moaned around the organ when his own erection was wrapped in an intense sucking heat. His hips bucked into his lovers mouth before he could stop them. Leaving the testicle alone, he turned his attentions to the weeping cock that was dribbling on his neck. He was content to simply 69 Treize for a moment, but felt he needed to be doing more. He slid his hand along the firm back of his lover’s thigh, squeezing the tight buttock as he came to it, then teasingly pressed a finger along the pucker of the General’s anus. The other pushed needily against his fingertip, and he obliged by sticking it forcefully through the opening. Treize groaned heavily against the blond’s cock, causing him to slam into the man’s throat. He slid his finger in and out quickly, roughly dragging his nail over the other’s prostate. He felt the thighs over his htenstensing and awaited his lover’s cum.

Treize pulled out of Zechs’ mouth at the last second, his hot seed spattering across the blond’s face. He sat back on his heels and shook the remaining weep from the tip onto his lover’s face. The sight of Zechs supinated, breathing heavily as cum cooled on his pale skin, erection bobbing between his legs was erotic beyond words. There was an intense need to impale himself on that long, thick, rigid cock and ride it until it coated him with ecstasy. He crawled down to Zechs’ hips, lined his sphincter with lemon flavored pudding, and slid slowly over the other’s shaft. Zechs moaned at motion and lay very still as the general began to bounce on his cock. He came quickly, reveling at the feel of his cum running down his balls as the other sat on him as he softened. Treize’s erection had returned, and it was being rubbe and and down Zechs’ stomach. Much less touching was required for him to come again. He collapsed beside his lover and quickly dozed off.

Zechs rose and washed himself with a wet washcloth, then returned to bed. Treize woke upon his return, and pulled him down to feed. Zechs came again as the General filled bod body and mind with pure bliss while he sucked the rich vitae from his lover’s strong neck. Zechs collapsed into a brief slumber.

An hour or so later, Zechs lay in bed, wondering what Aya had done after they had parted ways. Treize lay beside him, sated both sexually and hunger wise. The vampire had said nothing to him of the new blood that coursed through his veins and did not look as if he cared much. Tomorrow they would go to the physicians, and the results would come back negative. That would send Treize into a raging fit. Then he would force Zechs to tell him who had healed him. /Peachy. That is just what I need, if this madman doesn't know who is it already./ Treize stirred beside him.

"Love, are you alright?" the Aryan's velvety voice asked, still masked with sleep.
Zechs panicked. "Yes, Treize," he murmured, his voice wavering. "Go back to sleep."

"If you are worried about Aya, don't be." Treize sat up. "If you didn't want me to drink your blood, you should have said so."

"What?" Zechs hadn't been expecting this.

"I know about you and Aya-san. It doesn't bother me that you take comfort in that perfect specimen of a man. He is rather tasty. If you don't want me to drink from you, then I won't. All you have to do is say it."

"I don't want you drinking from me," Zechs murmured. "How do you know what Aya tastes like, Master?"

"Please, Milliardo, don't call me master. Aya allowed me to kiss him when he was here earlier today," Khushrenada explained. He ran an elegant hand through his ginger hair. He glanced at Zechs, taking in his Norse god of a lover. "It's alright love, he didn't respond to it. I was just curious as to why you like him so much."
"You aren't out to destroy our relationship are you?" Zechs turned his azure eyes to the man beside him.

"No, I won't destroy it. I was wondering if perhaps he'd care to join ours though," Treize murmured, remembering the kiss he had shared with Aya. He had tasted sweet, and the boy *had* responded very well indeed. But to tell Zechs would crush him. He did not need to loose the love of his life to another vampire. Treize could always wait until Zechs had passed on.

"No, Treize. Aya wouldn't want to share me with you any more than he has to. And to be honest I don't want to share him with you either." Zechs buried himself in the sheets, not wanting to discuss the subject anymore.

"I understand. You can have lovers on the side if I can." Treize nestled against Zechs' back and whispered, "Good-night, love."

Omi padded down the hallway to the bathroom. He had just had another strange dream about Hikaru, Aya and himself. The blond was in some serious need of relief and planned to expunge himself into the toilet. He groaned as he saw that the bathroom light was on and the door shut. /Aright, which one of you is jerking off into the toilet?/ Assuming that Hikaru would be sound asleep in their redheaded leader's arms, Omi forced the door open.

Hikaru sat on the floor, huddled into a corner. She'd heard Omi coming, but figured he would return to his room or go to the bathroom downstairs. When Omi opened the door, a look of shock crossed the floor and was replaced by one of embarrassment. His hands fell to his groin in attempt to cover the arousal she had already seen. Slowly, she stood. "I can leave if you want, Omi," Hikaru murmured.

Omi shook his head violently. "No, Hikaru-san. It's okay. You're in here for a reason. I'll go." Omi turned to leave, but something nagged at his mind. "Hikaru-san, did Aya hurt you?" He glanced back to gauge the woman's reaction.

"No, Omi. He didn't hurt me. I just had a bad dream. I'll be okay." The German sank back to the floor. In truth the dream had shaken her more than she cared to admit. She didn't like the idea of being raped, by either Aya or that strange man. But that wasn't really what was bothering her. Hikaru didn't understand why she had felt a surge of pure love for the man who had replaced Aya. She'd never seen him before and was definitely not this Ko-ishi person he talked about.

"You don't look like you're okay now. Do you want me to stay with you?" Omi asked, his heart nearly jumping out of his chest as he asked his question. /That was unexpected. What if I fuck this up?/ He smiled as Hikaru nodded.

Omi closed the door and sat beside Hikaru on the floor. The taller woman leaned against him. Hesitantly, he opened up to make his body more accessible to her and wrapped his arms around her. He bit down a groan as Hikaru squirmed her way between his spread legs and accidentally rubbed against his fading arousal. The boy pulled her closer and held her tightly. Hikaru nestled her cheek in his soft hair and sighed. She felt safe with Omi too. Looping an arm around her companion, Hikaru slowly dozed. Omi smiled at her and leaned against the wall.

In the morning Aya was the first up, as usual. He needed to take a shower before Yohji stole all the hot water, and, since Yohji was usually up later, he could take his time without being pressured by the Eurasian. This morning was different though. His bed was less occupied than it had been recently, and this troubled him. Seeing that nature called, Aya decided to take heed of it before he looked for Hikaru. The bathroom door was closed as he approached. He knocked lightly and, upon receiving no response, opened it. Jealousy erupted through him at the sight that greeted him. Omi and Hikaru were still cuddled together on the floor, Omi's arms possessively wrapped around her waist. Hikaru's lips were pressed gently to Omi's forehead in a kiss. Aya noticed with rage that Omi was enjoying Hikaru a bit too much as his eyes swept over the bulge of the younger boy's arousal. Not at all happy with the current situation, Aya decided to remedy it. He raised his hand to strike Omi.

Elsewhere in the apartment, Yohji had been unable to sleep any longer and was heading to the bathroom. He couldn't wait to see the surprised look on Aya's face when he beat him to the shower. The Eurasian could see Aya in the room already, but something wasn't right. He could see him posed to strike, and the only person in striking range was Omi....Realization slapped Yohji upside the head with a brick, and he quickly uttered an incantation. Aya froze in his place, a thick growl escaping him. Yohji knew that Aya could tear him to pieces and probably would after the incantation wore off, but he didn't want the two most powerful forces in the house to be at each other's throats. The blond inched closer to find that Hikaru had been the cause of Aya's anger. Understanding the problem entirely, Yohji pulled the frozen Aya out of the bathroom and hefted him over his shoulder. He carried the redhead to the bathroom downstairs and set him down.

"Now, you are going to stay here. I'm going to move them. If you ever threaten Omi again, I'll make sure that you don't move for eternity." Yohji returned to the bathroom upstairs. He gently shook Omi awake. "Hey there, kiddo. You wanna take sleeping beauty here to your room? Aya nearly had a fit when he saw you in here."

"Ohmygod....he's probably ready to kill me, isn't he?" Omi's mind was racing. Did he really want to fight *Aya* for this woman? Yes.

"Yeah, he tried to, but I stopped him. Go on, he's downstairs for now. He won't be up for a while." Yohji smiled down at them. "I'm gonna take a shower then make breakfast. 'K?"

"Ok, Yohji-kun. Arigatoo." Omi gathered his strength and inched his way out from under Hikaru. Balancing himself, he held the woman as he stood. She cuddled further against him as he walked to his room. Watching her serene expression, the young blond smiled. /Aya won't ever get you. Not while I am around./ Omi's resolve was deep rooted. He didn't quite understand why he cared so much about this woman, but he knew one thing for certain: no one would hurt her while he was there to protect her.

Sirocco and Blaze arrived at the Lunar Tower not long after they had departed from the Northern Kingdom. The ancient building still stood taller than anything in their world, and only the gods were able to set foot inside. The two gods that approached guided their steeds to the caverns and catacombs that lay beneath the tower. The animals would be safe from any worshipers there. As they landed, Blaze's dragon shot a ball of fire from it's nostril. A group of men scattered, crying out obscenities as they went. The gods watched with disinterest, if the men returned they would be severely burned. The dragon and wyvern were left to defend themselves as Sirocco summoned a gust of wind to carry Blaze and himself to the top of the tower.

The open dome of the tower was empty as the two entered. There was no evidence that Tsunami had even arrived. Blaze sat in the center of the circular room and gazed out the arch facing south. Sirocco leaned against the narrow wall between the arches of the north and east, wondering if something had happened to his lover. His fears were put to rest when a beautiful young man walked into the dome.

Sirocco allowed his eyes to roam over his lover's lithe body. The man they called Tsunami wore flowing, hip-riding pants and an unbuttoned long sleeve shirt. His short sapphire blue hair stood up in spikes of its own accord, and his eyes were a deep space blue that had streaks of sea foam green running through them. He walked over to Sirocco, his movements fluid like the waters he controlled. Liquid footprints were left in his wake, and he smiled graciously at his lover.

"Sirocco, I've missed you," Tsunami murmured, his voice deep like the oceans. He slid his arms around the taller man and kissed him passionately. When the kiss broke, the God of the West asked, "How are things in your kingdoms?"

Sirocco shrugged. "The same. We're being invaded, but not attacked."

"Blaze? What's happening in the south?" The fire god did not respond. He simply sat and stared.

"He's not been to the south since Ko-ishi left. He's been in the north. There are no invaders in the north yet. I don't know what's going on in the south." Sirocco reported the information quietly.

"Then why are you here?" Tsunami asked. "You should be in your kingdom defending your people. Who is going to defend the north?"

"I've asked Amor to defend her sister's people."

"You what? Sirocco, you know that girl can't even t of of any creature being chastised, let alone *killed.* What were you thinking?"

"She said she'd defend it to the death."

"Yeah, her death, not anyone else's!"

"Will you two shut up!" Blaze snapped. "I'm not going to sit here and watch our world be destroyed while you bicker. What do you plan to do about it?"

"We're going to war, Blaze. You should prepare your armies," Tsunami ordered.

"I'm going to have my Generals go to war. I will find Ko-ishi. Then we will stop this insanity." Blaze informed his comrades.

"You are going to the mortal world? Why?"

"That is where Ko-ishi went. She was with child when she left. If I cannot find her then I will find my son. Now, I don't have much time. Are you going to defend our world or not?"

"You have our words that we will protect our world. Don't fail, Blaze. We're counting on you," said Sirocco. He did not look at Tsunami to confer anything. He felt his lover's hand tighten around his own, and watched Blaze retreat in a ball of fire.

"Do you really think he'll find her?" Tsunami whispered.

"Has Blaze *ever* failed at finding someone?" Sirocco glanced down at his companion, who smiled.

"No."

Hikaru awoke in a new room, one she hadn't ventured into before. The aroma of coffee and eggs roused her from the bed, and she pulled herself into a sitting position. While she waited for her senses to wake, Hikaru noticed the room smelt like Omi. Very much like Omi. /He was so nice to me last night. And warm. He was so warm./ Just as Hikaru pushed Omi from her thoughts, the youth bounded into the room saying that breakfast was ready.

"Oi, Hikaru-san?"

"Hmmm?"

"Do you feel any better now? You had a fitful sleep." Omi's blue eyes looked up at with shining sincerity.

"Yes, I'm doing better now," Hikaru locked eyes with Omi. He began to fidget under her gaze. "Thank you, Omi. For staying with me last night. I needed someone who wouldn't ask questions."

Omi dropped his guard at her words, allowing all of his emotions through. He knew Hikaru would be able to read them, but he didn't care. Everything would be alright, as long as she was okay. Slowly, he smiled. "Shall we go to breakfast? I wanna see what Yohji cooked."

"Sure," Hikaru murmured as she crawled out of his bed. "Omi, where's Aya?"

"He wasn't very happy when he found us in the bathroom this morning, and, apparently, he was going to hit me. Yohji froze him, and he's in the downstairs bathroom." Omi's eyes looked hurt, although he didn't act it.

"Oh. Well I guess it's a good thing I am dragging Yohji shopping. We'll be gone most of the day." Hikaru made her way down the stairs and to the kitchen, where Yohji had breakfast all laid out. Raising an eyebrow, the German asked, "Did you really cook this? Or did you order take out?"

"Gah, onna! Of course I cooked this! I'm not that lame!" Yohji sputtered with mock anger. He gestured for the other blonds to s"I'm"I'm gonna go get Ken." There was no need for Yohji to go upstairs as Ken notified tthatthat he was awake with a frightened shout.

"Dear god! Aya don't hurt me!" Ken's voice yelped. A thick thud made it's way to the kitchen as Yohji ran to the bathroom where he had deposited the redhead earlier that morning. This time Aya was able to move and very angry. Ken was slumped on the floor, looking up at the vampire with fear.

"AYA! DON'T TOUCH HIM!" Yohji roared. Aya stopped his advance on Ken and focused on his older teammate. Each lunged for the other, but fell short of his target as Hikaru suddenly appeared between them.

The German looked at the two men. Turning her attentions solely to Aya, she spoke. "What is the matter with you? If you have a problem with what I do and with whom, take it up with me. Leave them out of it."

"Whore," Aya hissed as he raised a hand to backhand her. He brought his hand down, but it jerked to a stop. Confused, the vampire looked at his wrist. A slender hand was wrapped around it. His eyes followed a lean, lithe arm to a body, then to the upset face of Omi. /Aya, don't make me fight you. I don't know what I would do if.../

The young blond was not happy with the older man at all. His dark blue eyes were glaring daggers as he released Aya's wrist. None of his worries shone through his flawless facade. "Outside. NOW." Omi ordered.

"I won't take orders you you," Aya spat. "Get out of my way." The vampire tried to push past Omi, but the boy wasn't budging.

"We are going to settle this now, Aya. And we are going to do it outside. I won't ruin the house because you are too dense to realize that you already have a lover." Omi caught Aya by the wrist again and dragged him out of the house and into the courtyard.
Once outside, the youngest assassin flung Aya into the brick wall surrounding the courtyard. The redhead hit the wall with a sickening crack, then slid to the ground with a moan. Picking himself up, he smiled. "You ouslously don't think you can win, do you?"

"No, I don't think so. I *know* I can." Omi smiled evilly as he spoke. In a quick blur, he transformed into his were-state. The wolf stood tall, enjoying the expression on his opponent's face as he reached his full seven foot height.

Aya stared at Omi, wide-eyed with disbelief. The power that radiated from the werewolf was incredible. He could feel the heat of it across the courtyard. /He's never allowed this much power to escape him before. Has he been holding it back? Kuso, I'm in trouble./ Not one to give up a fight, Aya stepped into an attack stance.

"You look a bit frightened, Aya. And just so you know, I am not suppressing any power right now. However, it's not my maximum either. Shall we begin?" Omi asked.
Aya watched the werewolf with a slight glare. /Not your max. eh? Well, then I am surely done for, but I will not give up without a fight./ Staying true to his resolve, Aya vaulted himself at Omi. The redhead expected the wolf to move, but he did not. Instead, he left himself open to the attack. Aya's kick landed squarely in Omi's abdomen, but did more damage to the vampire than the wolf. Omi grinned viciously and reached for Aya's neck. He caught the willowy man with the least of effort and slammed him farther into the ground than Heero had.

Aya felt his bones splinter beneath the force of the blow. The air exploded from his lungs and brought bubbles of blood with it. /Fuck, I can't even fight. Why the hell am I fighting? I have Zechs, and I love him. No more. I won't endanger my life for anyone but him./ The redhead struggled to get up but found he couldn't. Omi was holding him down and waiting for him to lose consciousness. "Omi, onegai...I give up...."

Omi released Aya and shrunk back to his human state. "I hope you keep yourself in line from now on, Aya. I don't want to hear of you ever raising your hand against one of uain.ain. Am I understood?"

"Yes, Omi. I will not forget that my teammates or our guests are to be respected at all times. Forgive me for my ignorance," the older assassin rasped from his hole in the ground. Omi knelt and lifted the vampire from the indentation in the earth. Silently, he carried Aya to his room. The others did not follow, fearing intervention would send Omi into another stage of over aggression. The young blond was glad they feared him at that moment. It gave him a chance to be alone with Aya, something that rarely happened. He laid the man on the bed and watched him.

The so-called leader of Weiss lay in his bed, making sure his body healed correctly. Every splinter healed in record time, almost as if Omi had not wanted to hurt him at all. /Did you want to fight me or not, Omi? Was that all just a ploy to scare me into thinking that you would kill me? What is going on? I'm so confused....I want to keep Hikaru for my own, and I love Zechs, but I ache for your touch. I have for such a long time. I don't know what is wrong with me!/ Growling, Aya rolled over and saw the hem of Omi's shorts. /You're still here....?/

"Of course I'm still here. You didn't think that I would beat the tar out of you and then leave you there, did you?" The younger assassin asked.

/Did I say that out loud?/ "You should be out there with Hikaru, since you care so much about her." It was all Aya could do to keep himself from confessing his desires to the boy. That was, if he hadn't said those aloud as well.

"Aya, I care about what happens to you just as much as her. I only pounded you to get a point across. It seems to have worked. Please don't shut me out because of it." Omi's voice was begging, as were his eyes. He didn't want Aya to hate him. That one thing would be worse than the eternity he already held reservations for in hell. /Kami-sama, please don't hate me. I need you...for some unknown reason, I need you./

The redhead's guts pulled at him, and he followed them. Slowly, he sat up. With a long glance at Omi's face, he took the boy into his arms and held him. "I won't shut you out," he whispered. /I've been trying for years...and I can't./ Taking a deep breath, Aya rubbed Omi's back in large circles that spanned the young werewolf's entire back. /If I hadn't met Zechs, then I would have made you mine eons ago./ The vampire's strength was beginning to wear thin, and he leaned back in hopes that his shoulders would meet the wall. He had no such luck and fell into the sheets behind him.

"Omi, I can't stay awake. The regenerative process is really kicking in...I would like it if you'd stay..." Aya slipped beyond the veil of consciousness, and his body slackened.

"Arigatoo," Omi murmured. /Aya's never been this talkative to anyone but Aya-chan. I wonder if it's the fatigue talking./ Not caring what it was that made Aya want him to stay, Omi curled up next to the redhead and drifted into a light slumber.

Outside, the others stood in silence. Hikaru watched the window of Aya's room. Seeing nothing that could displease her, she turned to the other assassins.

"I'm going to go get ready to shop. I'll let you do whatever you want until then." Hikaru walked into the apartment as if there had been no fight.

Ken watched the blond go. Looking up at Yohji, he sighed. "What are we going to do with them?" he murmured. He slid an arm around the man's waist and snuggled against his chest. Yohji's arms wrapped around the chocolate haired man and pulled him closer still.

"I dunno Kenken. But I want you to be careful while I am gone. I want someone to come back to." Smiling, Yohji tilted Ken's face and kissed him adamantly. Pulling away from Ken's sweet lips, he whispered, "I've got to go. I'll see you in a few hours. Take care." Yohji walked into the apartment.

Standing alone in the courtyard, Ken looked up at the sky. /Please let us all make it through this, whoever you are. Please./ Sighing again, he followed the path to the apartment.

~~~ Bla Blaze watched the fray from his perch atop the apartment building behind the Koneko. Quickly traversing to the other side, he saw a car drive away with Hikaru in the passenger seat. Smiling to himself, he slid down to a balcony on the second floor and sat in wait. /You'll be mine very shortly, Ko-ishi. All I have to do is wait./
~~~~~~~
Heero Yuy sat in silence on the rooftop of the building beside the apartments. His steel blue eyes moved with the man on the other building, while his mind tried to get into the trespasser's. /Come on, I know you can't be that good . . . There's gotta be a way in./
Try as he might, Yuy couldn't get into the subconscious domain of the Fire God. Still, he knew he could always challenge the man. /That's exactly what I'll do./ His eyes followed the man as he sat on the guardrail of a balcony. He knew that the other Preventers weren't there to take care of this intruder. Trowa and Quatre had followed Hikaru and the taller blond as they left the area. Duo and Wufei were preparing the safe-house.

Heero jumped down from his perch and landed on the ground 8 stories below with a soft, nearly inaudible whoosh. Straightening himself out, he strode into the courtyard. He took his time, there was no rush to incur his wrath on the man that was sitting on the balcony. Stopping in the center of the courtyard beside the fountain, he looked up at the fiery haired man.

"You know," Heero began. "It's not very legal to be trespassing."

Blaze looked at the boy on the ground, and smirked. /And so this will be my first encounter with a mortal in this world. How quaint./

"The legalities here are trivial to me," Blaze said calmly.

"Hn. Well then, if you would be so kind as to do me a personal favor and leave my territory," Yuy said, trying a different tactic. If the man would not respond to legal matters, then perhaps he would do so on a more personal level.

"This area is not your territory, my dear boy. And it not being so constitutes you not having the right to ask me to e." e."

"I'm not asking anymore. I'm telling you. Leave. Look, I don't want this to get ugly, but it's going to if you don't leave." Heero slid into a slight fighting stance and tried one last time to force his way into Blaze's mind. He failed, and prepared to fight.

"I see you aren't going to take no for an answer." Blaze slipped to the ground. He regarded Heero for a moment, then smiled. /This is going to be painful for you, boy. Poor mortal, he doesn't have the slightest idea./

Yuy felt the other's scrutiny, and launched himself at the man before he could delay any longer. His fist connected solidly with the man's face, and he returned to his original position with a quick hop.

Blaze didn't see the Heero's movement, but he felt the blow. It knocked him off balance a bit, and he had to regain it by taking a step back. Smirking, he gazed evenly at Yuy. /This boy is no mere mortal. He's faster and stronger that he should be. This will be more fun than I thought./

Heero watched the man. /I didn't even phase him! He's going to be a fantastic opponent. More so than any creature in this world./

Yuy launched himself again. Blaze paid close attention this time, blocking every strike that the Terrific Soldier threw at him. They sparred with each other a moment or two, then broke. Blaze considered the boy's strength, but was growing weary of their tiff. Sneering, he stretched his arm out in front of him, and flicked his hand toward the sky.

Yuy watched this movement curiously, then felt the ground beneath him shake briefly before he was surrounded by a pillar of erupting magma. Bracing himself, he felt the magma burn at his skin, breaking down the gundanium alloys that allowed him to survive almost anything. Shrieking in pain, he leapt through the magma and onto Blaze.

"Aw, you didn't like my gift. I'm a bit offended," the God murmured. He flung Heero to the ground, watching him sizzle and pop. After a second or so the boy got to his feet, surprising Blaze. /Now this is unexpected. He might even be able to withstand a Solar Storm./ He took advantage of Heero's weakness and flung him into a tiny patch of sunlight that had made its way through the overcast sky.

Grunting, Yuy stood once again. He was fully healed and ready to beat the life out of the intruder. Taking a step forward, he discovered that the light around him had crystallized, creating a cage. /Christ on a Bike . . . . This is gonna be a bitch./ A heavy rumble caught his attention, and he stopped to listen. It was coming from above him, and he looked up to find a sea of asteroids and meteors falling at terminal velocity toward him. Steeling himself, he activated his healing program before he was hit. Releasing a good deal of his pent up heat, he forced it into the air above him in hopes that perhaps it would help slow the falling objects or melt parts of them.

Blaze was calculating every move Heero made. Smiling, he watched as the boy's body was pelted and crushed by his flying rock storm. Pleased that his opponent was being torn to pieces, Blaze sat back and watched silently from a lawn chair.

~~~~~~~~
Treize watched as his subordinate was nearly destroyed by the God of Fire. He stood atop the building across the street from the Kitty in the House. The man that stood beside him watched the battle in silence, his ebon eyes darting to the apartments every so often. Treize watched his new subordinate from the corners of his eyes.
The vampire was tall and lanky, much like the member of the Weiss team called Kudoh. His wild, waist length hair was dark like his eyes, shining a deep purple when it caught the light. Bangs shielded his face from Treize's view, but he knew the face was softly curved by high cheek and brow bones. The man's long face was gentle and serene most of the time, but his face could contort to the straight lines and angles that made up his nose. His slender form was covered in various shades of black. A midriff t-shirt was thrown on over a sheer long sleeved shirt that ran over the waist of his skin tight black leather pants. Worn German combat boots from the second World War covered his feet. He wore three belts, one around his waist, the other two hanging loosely from his hips. Twin wakizashi hung from these belts, their scabbards also black. A wide bracelet of leather covered his left wrist, bunching the sheer shirt as it climbed over his hand to where he had run his thumb through the fabric. An ank settled in the hollow of his throat, laced around his neck by a thin black cord. The same kind of black cord tied his long hair into a low pony tail. When he spoke, it was a deep flow of melody aged to perfection.
"Lord, what are we doing here?" the dark vampire murmured.
"Patience, Nauroth." Treize looked back to the battle on the ground. A huge mushroom cloud burst up from behind the flower shop, followed by an ear-shattering roar of heat.
Nauroth glanced sidelong at the golden vampire. He still didn't see what was so special about this battle. There was a familiar feeling about the place though, one he couldn't quite figure out.
"That redhead is the one that will be cause us all the problems," Treize murmured. "He is indestructible, and amazingly powerful."
"He's not Vampire. So the only thing he really amounts to is a God. I can handle him,"
Nauroth said, a grunt punctuating his statement. He turned his gaze back to the balcony, where that strange feeling was hidden. There wasn't much he could say, what was there to say? /I know this presence./ He inhaled deeply. A soft scent came to him on the air. It was of strawberries and soap. /So very familiar. I know this person. I know him well. But who is he? And why have I forgotten his face?/ The balcony and the man who lay beyond it became a side mission almost instantaneously. Narrowing his dark eyes, an idea began to form in the back of his head.
Treize openly stared at the man beside him. It was not a noble thing to do, but he couldn't help it. The man had just said that he could handle taking out a God. And now he was analyzing the apartment that sat between them and the battle. The Aryan noticed, with a twinge of curiosity, that the other had begun to run his long black ernaernails over a heavy scar along his left forearm. Something about this place bothered him.
"Come, Nauroth," the General said authoritatively. "There are other things that you must see if you are to accomplish your mission." He turned and led the way off the roof, his subordinate following closely behind.
