Double Negative
Disclaimer- I do not own DNAngel or any of it’s characters. It’s a sad fact of life, but true.
Author- Sada
Summary- Niwa Daisuke and Hikari Satoshi are the host bodies for a family feud that is centuries old, but what if this feud is really about something else and what happens if an accident causes the sprits in which they embody to switch hosts. Chaos.
“The brighter the Light the deeper the Dark, The colder the Ice the warmer the Fire, The bitterer the Life the sweeter the Death. It‘s a Butterfly Effect. Every Negative has a positive.”
Warning! This story contains slash. Do not bash the writer for her love of the pairings or she may not want to write anymore in any of her stories. Pwha!
Also Considering that all the DNAngel Volumes were not out when I started writing this story this can be considered Slight AU, but I’ll try to keep it as in Character as I can. (After all I had only read four or five Volumes when I first started this story and own none [Thank you Mia for letting me borrow/read them!])

Chapter Four
‘The Mirror Lies to me.’
--
“I can’t banish you yet, I can’t end this.”
Pale fingers touched upon the mirror the cold glass seemed to shiver and whine with a high frequency as the being placed a tender kiss upon the surface.
“I can’t end our pain.”
Turning away the silver haired being called Gin peered at the other art here. So much of it had so much emotion, but from that mirror he felt nothing, like nothing was inside of it, yet he knew very well someone was. That one being who was able to cause his heart to beat, the one with no real set gender, the being who seemed to have no God. Death.
“Your Pain.”
A soft voice echoed making Gin spin about to stare at the mirror a face had appeared, a being with long black hair and dark, dark black eyes stared back at him it’s features change softly to that of a man then to a woman.
“De---”
Gin began but she held a hand up to halt his speech.
“They call me Mira and they call you Gin now. We’ve been given personality that isn’t our own. Names. We watched as it happened to the others, but when it did us you were afraid. Of what? Me? Or Looking in a mirror to see what you were afraid of in yourself. Your heart, the one thing you didn’t want, but it began to beat anyway.”
The one called Mira smiled gently as her dark hair swirled about her face from the abyss of the magical mirror.
“Stop.”
Gin stated as he narrowed his eyes at the being in the round pane of glass.
“You’re doing what you did back then, you’re poisoning me with your words, your beauty, lulling me into your chasm. Stop. All I have to do is break this mirror and I’ll never see you again.”
He held a hand up as a threat, but she just smiled again, her features changing back to that of a no gender voice still soft and neutral.
“You can’t can you? Can’t break the mirror because you’ll be shattering your heart if you do. Break it. I’ll come back in another art I’m always bound to you weather you like it or not I’m always part of you. There is no Death without Life and no Life without Death. Like the others. Without one the other will have no purpose and cease to exist.”
With that the being disappeared from sight, the mirror nothing but a mirror now, but Gin was horrified that he was that beings inverted reflection, everything about them was the same. Only he’d been given a material being, a gender, a name, Death never did, Death was forever changing.
“I don’t need you. You Lie to me.”
Jumping from a window he drifted off into the dusk. He had to get enough power to banish Death forever because with Death came sorrow, he was sure of it.
---
Peace.
If only he could feel that. Having this being reside in him was like hosting a parasite. They were parasites weren’t they? Beings that ate away at it’s host devouring them from the inside out only this one was even more acidic to his system. This was Krad.
“Stop. It.”
Daisuke strained as he sat on the floor knees scrapped on the tile, fingertips bloody from clawing at the hard surface. Krad was trying to escape again seemingly burst through his skin take over the body and consume him in the abyss of nothing. Nothing was scary. It was neither silent or loud, and contained no light or dark. It was nothing. There was no other word for the void that Krad put you in other than desolate.
‘I will have your body.’
“No. It’s Mine Krad!”
Just as he yelled his emotions flared out of control and wings sprung from his back, the white feathers growing thicker, blood staining their glossy brilliance. Daisuke was shuddering fingers trying to claw at the tiles of the bathroom again. It hurt. Did Satoshi have to go through this every time he grew wings?
“No, the body is mine my dear Daisuke. You‘re mine.”
He found himself saying watching as his red hair grew longer, lightening to blonde.
“Kra-”
Daisuke managed before falling into a deep coma like state. Too much. It was too much for him. Krad finished the painful process of growing wings just as Towa No Shirube ran in eyes wide.
“White Wings!”
She looked stunned then narrowed her eyes accusingly.
“Leave Niwa-kun alone! He doesn’t deserve to be tainted by the likes of you!”
Krad smirked and brushed hair from his face as he moved in front of the art and took her chin in his hand.
“But Niwa is mine so he is mine to taint.”
The Blonde Parasite gave a light chuckle and then continued in his slow drawl while playing with a white feather stained in the crimson red of blood.
“After all Red and Gold go together better than Gold and Blue don‘t you think? Maybe we were meant to be like this.”
Dropping Towa No Shirube’s chin he swept right past her into Daisuke’s room and burst through his closed window in the glow of morning he shimmered in the glass strewn air a moment before taking off into the sunrise. Time to wreak havoc on the world and get his revenge on Dark Mousy, on Koku-Yoku, on his former lover, but it didn‘t matter what name they had, they were always Light and Dark, always the same, but always so different.
--
Reading the books and writing out small notes, Satoshi had officially bored Dark who was grumbling annoyingly in the back of the bluenettes mind. He didn’t want to read what a human wrote about what happened, but oddly he’d forgotten most of it, his past was vague to him. Why? Because he’d been trapped in other people’s bodies so long, muddled with their memories, he was sure Krad had forgotten the real reason they were fighting. Now that he’d been reminded it all came back painfully every look on the blonde’s face over their life time, especially those in the beginning, the looks he gave when they’d succumbed to their feelings, taken each other, whispering sweet things in each other’s ears, and lavishing flesh with attention from red lips and pink tongues. They were perfect together, but those humans, they’d stolen his Krad away and poisoned him, ruined him, gave him a gender and did horrible things, treated him like he was a toy rather than the angel that should have his feet kissed. Krad use to be so innocent, so pure, use to his.
“Mira Mokushi. That’s it.”
Satoshi muttered as he went from his paper to his keyboard searching through files to pull up the file about a mirror in one of the many great museums, it was Mira Mokushi, called the Apocalypse Mirror it was said when they destroyed art that they tried to shatter, melt, and destroy this mirror but it would not break soon after it’s attackers died mysteriously. The silver metal around the edges is pure and almost as white in colour, the glass tinted red. The designs in the silver were of angels on either side of it holding out feathers. It showed a picture of the mirror it seemed normal, but like most art it had magical properties he was sure. This had to be the Death Angel. Reading other articles he soon realized that people had in fact reported sightings of a woman’s face in the mirror, it was said to be haunted by the mirrors first owner.
“Dark do you think you could steal this?”
The boy asked and Dark turned his attention to the mirror then chuckled.
-Of course Creepy Bastard.- He laughed again. -It’s amazing Commander wants Dark Mousy to steal something for him. Now beg for it.-
Satoshi glared and growled lightly at Dark who seemed surprised.
“I’m not begging Dark. This isn’t for your pleasure this is to help Daisuke-Kun.”
-And to throw you into Chaos again Satoshi?-
The bluenette froze, concern in that voice again, his name spoken with such care. Satoshi couldn’t bring himself to answer, well not in time anyway, Towa No Shirube came into the library as a small bird avoiding all the traps that we‘re set at the entrance of the Niwa Library.
“Dark! Hikari-San! He’s taken off out the window!”
She could only mean one person. Krad.

|End Chapter|
[Edited as of October 13th]
A/N: Poof. I introduce a very short addition to my story. Heh, I felt highly uninspired for this chapter, I’m hoping to make the next chapter better.
What goes on here? Well there is Gin and the genderless entity called Death. (Originally Death [Mira] started out as female then I decided to make her genderless as Death should be.) Krad has finally escaped his prison inside of Daisuke and has run off to wreak havoc. Satoshi is one step closer to being highly confused by my complex plot and well Dark is being Dark.
Oh and if you haven’t go back to chapter Three and re-read the Legend, I’ve re-written it.
As for pairings, it’s going to be a little bit of everything and a taste of romance may be coming up in the chapters soon and maybe the softer side of Krad.
Now review my wuvable wittle weaders. *taunts with cookie* Reviews make me want to write more.
Comments to Friends and Reviewers
DuosAngel- Thank you! ^.^ Yea I know it’s priceless. I like cheesy stuff.
Lenne - Woot! I rock! Hehe! I’m working on the update, bare with me. Daisuke/Satoshi will be paired but not right away. I have to have my fun torturing them.
Sheridan- Thank you for pointing out my mistakes.
Kili-chan - I know! The whole Light/Dark Fire/Ice thing struck me as cheesy, but I had to. I couldn’t help it. And Thank you for the Review!
akuma_river - Not Really AU. Least I’m trying to not to make it as such, but yea I will fix my mistakes. Thank you for the review.
chrnokitty - Because Krad is fun to torture. Heh. Don’t worry he’s my favorite character too so I won’t scar him too bad. Maybe.
Darkangel - I’m writing as fast as I can. Yes I like the idea that Satoshi wants to keep Dark for himself it gives Satoshi a bit more character than just an emotionless shell of a person.
Kyu Master - Yes I did lots of thinking on this story and once the idea of making them switch bodies hit me I was off and running.
itachi ano - Risa and Riku are going to be added later I hope. The only reason they aren’t in it now is I have trouble writing female characters sometimes. (makes no sense considering I’m a girl) I know what you mean about Fanfiction.net it kills my computer too. I use to have an account on there.
Mandie - Yea I already fixed that. Update on it’s way.
RAiNwAtEr - I feel special that I was you first DNAngel Author you read from. ^.^ Yea a shonen-ai would be nice, but it doesn’t bother me that it’s not.
MultifacetedTune - amazing? Wow. Heh. Well I’m glad you like it. I know it was a bit cliché but I’ve fixed it kind of, I’ve re-written it go back and re-read.
… - I’m glad you enjoy it and I hope you keep reading.
