(A Saiyuki Fanfic)

Three

Lunchtime"�

The two parties were stopped for lunch under the shade of a tree near a
river while Tejas was bouncing around in the water, pretty much like a water
baby. Cyran sitting out in the sunlight basking in it, Vayu on the other hand
sat on the other side of the tree reading her horoscope book she'd picked up the night before at the last town.

Sanzo was over by the other tree lighting a cigarette.

While Hakkai on the other hand was just watching Tejas and Goku
finishing off the last of the lunch meal.

"This trip is going to take longer then
anticipated if you two keep wanting to stop for food breaks."� Hakkai smiled.

"You're
telling me."� Gojyo complained, "It was bad enough with monkey boy now we have
the pixie to feed aswell."�

"So Vayu what you reading?"� Tejas asked leaning over her shoulder.

"From food to water to food then to annoying
Vayu I think Pixie suits her, she just gets everywhere."� Cyran remarked.

"It's
a book on this year's
horoscopes."� Vayu replied.

"Ooooh what's mine?!"� Tejas grabbed the book and began flipping
through it. "Wait what's my star sign again?"�

"Aquarius."� Vayu replied.

"Ooooo really. Thanks."� Tejas smiled before blinking. "Wait how'd you know that?"�

"It's
a secret."� Vayu replied with a
smile.

Hakkai looked over at her and he just smiled. "You seem to have a lot of secrets."�

Vayu blushed and looked down while Tejas flipped through the book.

"Oooh who I fall for."� She grinned reading the small section out
loud. " Rouge mavericks, men who
think about the universe more than themselves."� She blinked for a moment. "I don't
know anyone like that."�

The group all looked at her like she was incredibly stupid.

"Geeeeeee I wonder who that is."� Vayu remarked with flat eyes.

"Ooooh who who who?"� Tejas bounced about.

"Homura who else."� Raido added with a sigh.

"Ooooh Homura-sama."� Tejas let out a love sick sigh.

"See."�
Vayu pointed out.

"Give me a look at that."� Cyran looked at her.

"Nooooo I'm still reading."� Tejas hugged the book and flipped the page.

"That book sounds pretty spot on so far."� Raido remarked from were she was cleaning up
with Hakkai.

"Women and horoscopes."� Gojyo let out a sigh.

"So long as it keeps them out of my hair, they
can do what they want."� Sanzo
remarked.

Tejas read another passage out loud. "There will be conflict between your two greatest
loves of your life."� She
blinked for a moment. "I have
two loves?"�

Cyran snatched the book from her. "Gimme I wanna read mine."�

"Heeeeeey!"� Tejas pouted.

"You don't need to read this, wait until your older
child, let us reeeeeal women read you've
got a few years til you grow up."�
Cyran smirked.

Tejas pouted. "Raaaaaaiiiiiiidoooo."�

"Keep me out of this! I'm still cleaning up your mess."� Raido called out from where she was nearly
finished leaning.

Cyran smirked as she read her passage. "Who I fall for"� physically beautiful men, perfectionists, priests, guru's and musicians, loners who want to be rescued,
and mystery men who won't tell
you anything about their life."�
She smiled as she looked over at Sanzo who just stubbed his cigarette out and
raised an eyebrow as she looked at him.

"What are you looking at?"� He growled.

Cyran smiled. "A
definite challenge."� She
flipped through the book, "Prediction for this year, you will have the
opportunity to sleep with three members of the opposite sex"� oh well been there done that"�"� She flipped through the book again. "Lets see what sign are you Vayu?"�

"None of your business."� Vayu remarked.

"She was reading the Cancer page when I looked
over her shoulder."� Tejas
smiled.

"Tejas!!"� Vayu growled.

"Ooooooh now lets see then"� Vayu"�
why you're impossible"�"�

"Shut up!"� Vayu snapped.

Cyran let out a laugh. "You
mood swings like a pendulum, you take things very personally and then react
defensively."�

Tejas rubbed her head. "That's defiantly her. Her defence hurts though."�

"Men you identify with"� a sense of family and history dynasty or
tribal law, but also emotional honesty."� Cyran read out loud and smiled. "your prediction for the year"�. Mr nice has fallen in to your lap don't be an ass and let him get away."�

"Hey!"�
Vayu glared at her. "It doesn't say that. Give me that book back."�

"Oh no way we still have to read Raido's out."�
Cyran smiled.

Raido looked up as she tied up the top of the garbage bag. "I don't
want to know."� She remarked.

"So what starsign are you anyway?"� Cyran asked.

"I'm
not saying a thing."� Raido
remarked.

"If I had to suffer you can suffer."� Vayu remarked.

"Don't
say a damn-"�

"Gemini."� Vayu cut her off.

"Bitch."�
Raido growled.

"Likewise."� Vayu smirked.

"�They're all dead.' Raido grumbled in thought
as she put the trash into the boot of the jeep while Cyran flipped through the
book.

"Ooooh this is good"� Who you fall for"� independent freedom lovers, travellers and
guru's or men who can tell you
stories in bed all night. Or you go the extreme and hook in to dreamy elusive
types."� Cyran giggled "Now this sounds familiar though. Who FALLS for
you"� Down to earth rugged
hunks who admire your brain or want to control your scattered approach to life,
light hearted gamblers who just wanna have fun."�

The group were all silent for a moment while Raido just blinked then
came the hysterics from the group of girls as Raido sweatdropped.

"Lovely"�"�
She drawled.

"Man that sounds like you Gojyo."� Goku remarked.

*STOMP*

"Shutup monkey boy."� Gojyo snapped.

Raido looked over at his with a raised eyebrow. "It's
just a starsign don't get
worked up about it"� sheesh."� She wiped her hands off and looked at the
group. "Time to get moving now
people, fun is over."�

"But what about swimming?"� Tejas asked.

"You've
already been three times already you water baby."� Vayu remarked.

"But it's
fun."�

"To jump about in water dressed like a skank how
is that fun?"� Vayu asked.

"Trust me when you have hotties on the same
trip, it definitely gets some blood pumping in regions-"�

*WHOMP*

Raido had her hand over her mouth. "That's
enough from you"�
in the jeep."�

It was nightfall when they two parties reached the next town over.
Raido let out a sigh as they parked Fafnir and Raido removed their rubbish from
the boot before disposing of it in a near by bin and they looked up at the inn
and the festivities going on about them. She looked up at the fireworks and
Tejas stood beside her looking up at them also.

"They're
so pretty."� She smiled.

"Yeah I guess it makes a change from the dull
towns we're been in so far."� Raido replied.

Tejas lifted her bag over her shoulder and she smiled. "Cyran's
going to find us a place to sleep tonight."�

"I hope she makes it away from Gojyo."� Raido muttered. "That pervert is really starting to get to me."�

"It's
cause he likes you, the book said so."�
Tejas grinned before she skipped off.

Raido flicked the hair from her face before turning round and looked at
the Sanzo party as they walked in to an inn Cyran with them. "�Well there goes that idea about being away from
that pervert.' She
thought to herself. "�A
nice shower and good's
night sleep should fix me up though.' She added in thought.

Vayu walked up next to Raido and looked up at the sky, her hood still
covering her head. If Raido didn't
know her like she did, it would be obvious that she reeked of woman's mysteries and she just smiled. "�I guess I could call them my friends now, they
have been travelling with me for a while.'

Vayu smiled at her. "I
appreciate that, but it took you long enough to admit it."�

Raido rubbed the back of her neck and she just smiled at her. "Sorry, I've just been on my own for a long time you
know."�

"It's
alright, you had a right not to trust anyone with what you've been through, but it's over, me, Tejas, Hakkai, Gojyo and Goku are
all here for you and even though Sanzo won't admit it, I'm sure he's in there too somewhere."�

Raido let out a chuckle. "Admit
it or show it."� She
corrected with a typical smile.

"Hey you two I got us a room for the night next
to the boys!"� Cyran called out from the
doorstep of the nearest inn.

Raido looked at Vayu and she blinked for a moment before touching her
forehead spotting something there. "Vayu."�

"It was Homura, he showed up this morning."� Vayu replied simply, "It's
okay I'm fine."�

"So you know that feeling too?"�

"Yeah, it's strong coursing through my every being it's a very strong energy, but I'll get used to it. Like you will."�

Raido felt her arms go prickly at the thought of living a long life
like a God stuck on earth.

"It's
so boring up there, I think that's
why I left."� She looked down at her
hands. "But to wait so long to be
reincarnated in to this form, why"�
why'd I pick something that
had to be so tormented?"� She
asked herself more than Vayu.

Vayu placed a hand on her shoulder. "Maybe it was punishment for something you felt
you did wrong up there, who knows."�

"Hey c'mon
you two we're going to eat!"� Tejas called out from the doorway standing
next to Cyran.

The two turned round and headed in to the inn that doubled as a
restaurant and joined the group as they were having something to eat.

"You're
just going to bed honey?"� Raido
stopped outside her door and she looked at Gojyo.

"I think I need a rest"�"� She remarked pausing to lean up against her
door.

"We should all stick together tonight for safety's sake, you know that?"� Gojyo placed a hand up against the wall next
to her head.

"I'll
be okay by myself."� She
looked up at him. "I do
have Goddess powers now."�

"And we've
killed Gods if we can, then Homura and his thugs can."� Gojyo replied.

Hakkai smiled from his doorway. "It's
okay, me Gojyo and Goku decided we'll
team up to watch over you girls tonight, I'm sharing a room with Vayu."� He gave them his cheery smile.

"The monkey boy and the pixie are sharing a room
and the monk gets to share his room with the man eater."� Gojyo added.

Raido smirked. "Poor
Sanzo I pity him."� She
then smiled. "So long as I'm not the only one suffering then I guess I can
accept it."�

Tejas skipped down the hall up to her door a large bag slung over her
shoulder and knocked on her door. "Goku
I brought us a snack."� She
called through the door.

"Alright! I'm starved."� Goku opened the door and the four watched as
Tejas skipped in happily.

"If only she wasn't so naïve she'd probably be good in bed."� Gojyo remarked as the door closed.

Raido looked at him. "Our
previous incarnations were Goddess's
Gojyo, ironically enough Tejas was the Goddess of Occult and Sex."�

Gojyo blinked for a moment and looked at Raido. "How'd
you know that?"�

"Guess some memories are coming back to me."� She looked at Hakkai and Vayu's room. "Vayu is the Goddess of Woman's mysteries."�

Gojyo looked down at Raido. "And
you honey?"�

"The Catalyst Goddess."� Raido replied before opening her door and
slipping through it by ducking under Gojyo's arm.

~*~*~*~

Vayu sat on her bed in the room she shared with Hakkai just reading a
book, while Hakkai stood by the window watching the fireworks through the
window.

"It's
a nice night out there."� He
remarked.

Vayu placed a book mark in her book before standing up and she walked
up next to him looking out the window also before pulling the hood off her head
and she blinked as she watched the array of colors fill the sky.

Hakkai looked at her and he blinked for a moment seeing a familiar sad
smile across her face. "Vayu"�"�

She looked at him before she just smiled.

Hakkai felt himself swallow for a moment stunned. "�Her smile"� it reminds me of Kanan"�' He saw Vayu as she looked at him and she
looked down blushing.

"I'm
sorry I remind you of her, it must still hurt."� She looked out the window and lent on the
windowsill.

Hakkai placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's
okay"� Really Vayu, it's fine."�

Vayu tilted her neck back stretching it before she looked at him and
she could feel a blush creep across her cheeks as she saw him just looking at
her.

"�I'm sharing a room with him"� why am I so nervous, it's not like we're going to sleep together, he's not like Gojyo.'

Hakkai smiled at her seeing the blush. "It's
really cute when you blush Vayu."�

She went even redder. "�Oh
man"� this is so embarrassing.'

~*~*~*~

Goku lay on the bed wide away and he looked down at Tejas as she lay
next to him her head on his shoulder as she lay there sleeping soundly. He
looked up at the ceiling, he could feel the hunger in his stomach, but he didn't want to move to disturb her sleeping so
peacefully.

He touched her hair before brushing it out of her face, she didn't even realise how attached he was becoming to
her, and it was always. Homura this and Homura that, and Homura-sama, when she
hadn't even seen him, it actually
really hurt him a lot. To know that she couldn't see him like that.

"�Am I falling n love with her?' He thought to himself as he pulled his hand
back before just resting it on her side. "�If something happened to her or if Homura was
as much in love with her as she is in with him, I think it'd hurt to much. I hope they don't meet.' Goku found himself thinking. "�She's too innocent to be corrupted like that.'

There was a knock at his door and he looked over as Cyran stuck her
head in. "Oh you're still awake I just brought you and Tejas
some food."� She smiled.

"Oh wow thanks how'd you know I was hungry?"�

Cyran just smiled. "I
just did."� She waved her hand about
before setting the food down on a table. "Now come and get it if you can move."� She giggled before walking out leaving Goku
lying there his face completely red.

~*~*~*~

Raido sat on the end of the bed fidgeting with her arm sleeves as Gojyo
lent up against the wall a cigarette between his lips, she couldn't believe her damn luck two nights in a row in
having to share a room with him.

She looked up as he smiled at her. "I make you nervous don't I priestess?"�

"I'm
not nervous."� She just smiled. "I guess you could say I'm just a little confused right now."�

Gojyo walked up to her standing over where she sat, he could tell she
was partially unsure of what to do round him now, he'd gotten his challenge but he couldn't figure out why he was hooked on to her, then
again he'd been hooked on the girls
back home. This one even after he'd
slept with her wasn't acting
like they did.

He sat down beside her watching her as she pulled a cigarette out of
her own packet and he flipped out his zippo lighting the end of it for her.

She rubbed her temple before looking up at him. "Thanks."� She mumbled.

Gojyo sat down next to her and noticed how she didn't even shuffle over to move away from him, but
she didn't move closer even, she
just took a drag of the cigarette instead before looking off at the wall.
Leaning forward her elbows resting on her knees.

"�She's not going to move at all.' Gojyo looked at her.

Raido looked at him before sitting up straight. "Guess I should get some sleep soon."� She mused out loud.

"Well I'm
going to see if Hakkai and the others want a game of Mah jong, feel free to
come and join us if you want honey."�

Vayu lay in bed looking at the ceiling and she let out a sigh and
rolled over on to her side. Hakkai lay on his own bed and she looked at him to
see him just lying there looking at her.

"�She reminds me of Kanan"� it's strange that I should see her smile on
someone else.' He
thought.

Vayu just smiled at him before just looking back to the ceiling. "�I remind him of his dead love, I wish I didn't, but what"� what can I do about it?'

Hakkai sat up as Vayu looked at the door. "Gojyo's
coming."� She remarked.

Hakkai looked at the door as a few moments later there was a knock at
the door and he stood up opening up the door. Gojyo looked at him. "Mah jong?"� He asked.

Hakkai looked at Vayu. "You
go I'll be fine."�

He just smiled at her before leaving with Gojyo and she let out a sigh.
"�Do I want a relationship with someone so
haunted, who swore never to love anyone again?' She asked herself sadly. She rolled over on
the bed and looked at the wall. "�What
is it with him, that makes act like"� like"� a girl?' She thought with disgrace.

Tejas rolled over as she smelt food and Goku looked at her and she sat
up. "Oh wow food."�

"Yeah you hungry?"� He asked smiling at her.

"Always!"� She grinned before the two began chowing down
on the food on the table when the door opened.

"I shoulda guessed the two of them woulda been
eating."� Gojyo remarked.

"Heya!"�
Tejas greeted before stuffing her face some more.

"And she'd be such a looker too, if only she grew up."� Gojyo sighed.

"So you keep saying."� Hakkai smiled at him. "Aren't
you and Raido getting along?"�

"The priestess has a thick shell of doom and
gloom, she reminds me of you."�
Gojyo replied looking at Hakkai.

"So what's up?"�
Goku asked the two.

"We're
going to play Mah jong you interested?"�

Goku looked at Tejas who just yawned before finishing the last of her
food. "I'm going to sleep you can go."� She smiled at him.

He blushed and nodded. "Um"� sure."�

Tejas gave him a kiss on the cheek causing him to blush. "I'll
be right here okay?"�

"Okay."�
Goku nodded and watched as Tejas climbed back in to bed.

He walked out with the guys and hey knocked on Sanzo's door he opened it and looked at them. "What?"�
He demanded.

"Mah jong?"� Hakkai asked smiled.

Sanzo looked over his shoulder and the sound of Cyran going at it with
a man was obviously heard.

"I'm
in."� he remarked closing the
door.

The four headed off to the lounge area upstairs to play their game.

"You know it feels like forever since we've had a chance to relax like this."� Gojyo let out a content sigh from his side of
the table.

"That must mean you have a really good hand
Gojyo."� Sanzo remarked.

"Dag nabit."� Gojyo dropped his cigarette butt in to the ash
tray.

Hakkai just chuckled. "Come
to think of it Gojyo's
absolutely right, come to think of it any day we didn't run in to a demon we ran in to a gang of
anger murderous Gods instead"�
ah excellent I'll take
that one."� He added and placed his
mah jong piece on to the stack on the table before picking another up.

"Hey Homura's a God isn't he?"�
Goku asked. "What would a God want with
us anyway?"�

"Who knows, he's not nearly as cute as the babe we ran in to a
few months before huh?"� Gojyo
remarked with a smirk.

"Nor as friendly."� Hakkai added. "Sanzo what is your take on this Homura
character?"�

"Hard to say it doesn't change anything, whatever their motivations
are our objective remains the same."�
Sanzo replied.

"Keep heading west."� Gojyo added.

"That's
right."� Sanzo remarked.

"West huh?"� Goku asked. "I wonder what Kougaiji's up to?"�

"Heh they wouldn't die if you killed them."� Gojyo pointed out.

"Yea"�
but"�"� Goku sighed.

"There's
no use worrying."� Hakkai
pointed out. "What happens happens."�

"That pretty much sums it up, anticipating
someone else's move can cost you
dearly."� Sanzo remarked as Goku
picked up a majong piece from the table and looked at it. Goku put the piece on
the table. "Call! I win."� Sanzo added.

"Ahhh!!!!"� Goku lent back in his chair his right hand
over half of his face.

Tejas stood by the window in the room the noise of fireworks had woken
her up from her sleep and she was watching them going off in the sky in bursts
lighting up the sky and she smiled. "Ooooooh
fiery and pretty."� She
smiled more before skipping out of the room missing a figure walking away from
where the Sanzo party was having their game of majong.

"Vayu!!!!"� Tejas burst in to the room. "Fire in large bursts! Look!"�

Vayu looked up from her book with a raised eyebrow. "You've
never seen fireworks before?"�

"So it is fire?"� Tejas smiled. "I knew it! I wanna make fire like that one day."�

"It's
a good thing you're too
stupid to become a pyromaniac or I'd
actually be worried by that comment."�

Tejas blinked "Pyrowhat?"�

"Heh I think for the safety of everyone in this
continent that I wait till your older before I tell you."�

"Can we take Cyran and Raido and go watch?"� Tejas asked.

Vayu looked to the hallway. "It's probably best we vacate for a while anywhere,
there's some company that Sanzo
and co should deal with and it's
best we don't get in the way."�

"Really they have visitors? Why don't I get visitors?"�

"It's
not my fault you're a
nif."� Vayu huffed.

Tejas blinked again. "Wha?"�

Vayu sighed. "Never
mind you get Cyran because I ain't
going in that room, I'll go
get Raido."�

"Hokay!"�
Tejas skipped out of the room.

Vayu sighed to herself and picked up her bag before walking out of the
room to get Raido.

"Cyyyyyyyyran!"� Tejas burst through the door of Cyran and
Sanzo's room. "Can you stop screwing that guy and come watch
fireworks with me kay?"�

"TEJAS!!!!"� Cyran screamed before pulling the sheet over
herself and glaring at the young demon teen.

"What the hell? Who's this kid?"� The man exclaimed looking at Tejas.

Tejas blinked and looked at him. "You wanna come?"�

"Well actually honey I was about to but you
burst in the room."�

Tejas blinked. "Wha? You
knew there were fireworks?"�

The man sweatdropped and looked at Cyran who shrugged. "And you travel with her?"�

"Well what can I say it makes life interesting"� except if I was told she'd burst in like this on regular basis I woulda
picked a different travelling party."�
Cyran replied.

"Fiiiiiiiiiiiireeeeeeee worrrrrrrrrkssssss
Cccccccyyyyyyyrrrrrraaaaannn"�"�
Tejas whined.

Cyran sighed. "Okay
okay I'll meet you outside, just
shoo shoo."� She waved Tejas out.

Tejas skipped out shutting the door after her and she looked at Vayu
heading outside. "Waaaaaaaait
for me Vaaaaaaaaayyyyyyuuuuuu!"�
She raced after Vayu.

Raido raised an eyebrow as Tejas dashed past. She stopped suddenly
feeling a presence nearby.

"Goddess"�"� The voice was low and she looked over her
shoulder to a man as he stood there and she blinked he had a sheet wrapped
round his waist while Cyran stood at the door looking onward.

"Do I know you?"� Raido asked.

"No but you should leave for your safety Lord
Homura requests it."� He
looked at her.

Raido shrugged. "Whatever,
I was going anyway."� She
walked down the hall towards the exit where Vayu and Tejas were waiting.

Tejas was bouncing excitedly on the spot as Raido walked out and Cyran
a few minutes later. "Yay!!!
Lets go lets go!!!"� She grabbed
Raido by the wrist and began dragging her down the street.

"You know you should have warned me she had a
habit of bursting in on people."�
Cyran remarked.

Vayu just smirked. "And
why should I warn you when I have to suffer her antics daily?"�

Cyran just rolled her eyes. "Seriously
you need to get laid, it might lighten you up a bit, I bet if you asked Hakkai-"�

"Shut your bloody mouth!"� Vayu snapped.

Cyran just chuckled as she walked off ahead.

Sanzo opened his cigarette packet and looked at it, empty.

"Damn."�
He headed towards the door.

"Where you going Sanzo? I wanna go to."� Goku raced up to Sanzo as he stood by the
door.

Gojyo continued to sit at the table and he lit his own cigarette.

"Do what you want. I'm not getting food."� Sanzo replied.

"Awwwwwwww."� Goku complained, but still followed Sanzo.

Gojyo just remained sitting his head looking down like he was off in
thought.

Hakkai walked in to the room. "Where
did those two run off to?"�

"I think he ran out to get some cigarettes."� Gojyo replied his own cigarette in his mouth.

"You think that's wise?"� Hakkai asked and Gojyo looked at him holding a
tray with a tea pot and some cups on it. "Like Sanzo just said, none of us knows what's waiting just around the corner."�

"He can take care of himself, so let it go."� Gojyo replied.

"I suppose you're right."� Hakkai put the tray on the table. "How about a game of cards in the mean time?"�

Gojyo looked up the fire works going off in the background.

"You read my mind."�

~*~*~*~

Tejas raced through the street and tried to climb up the side of a
building. "Look look!"� She pointed to the fire works in the sky.

Raido let her head drop as she yawned. "I-just-want-sleep."� The priestess complained.

"You and me both."� Vayu added.

Cyran looked at the two of them. "�It's to be expected.'
She thought, "�You're both Goddess's now the shift in energy will be draining
until you get used to it.' She looked up at the sky at Tejas trying to
reach the fireworks.

Vayu looked at Cyran and she blinked. Cyran just smiled at her. "I can't
reach them!!!"� Tejas called out.

"Tejas!"�
Raido laughed. "Of
course you can't you
silly, get down before you get hurt."�

"But it's
fiiiiiiiiiire."� Tejas
complained.

"Yes fire."� Raido laughed again, "But do you want this chocolate or will I have it?"�

"OOOOOH CHOCOLATE!"� Tejas jumped down and began bouncing about
Raido excitedly. "Where's the chocolate? Can I have the chocolate? When
can I have the chocolate?"�

Raido handed her a large block of peppermint chocolate and Tejas smiled
opening it up and she began munching on it happily.

Sanzo and Goku walked through the crowded streets the fireworks going
off in the skies just above them.

"Hey Sanzo"�"� Goku began.

"No."�
Sanzo replied.

"C'mon
Sanzo-"�

"Be quiet."� Sanzo interrupted as he stopped walking.

"Sanzo."�
Goku stood behind him.

"Shut up."�

"But Sanzo you don't know what I'll ask you."�

"Okay then."� Sanzo sighed. "Just don't ask something stupid, you got that?"�

"There's
a ramen stand ove-"�

*THUNK*

Goku held his head crouched close to the ground.

"See there that was a dumb question."� Sanzo growled his paper fan still in his hand.

"Oooowwww"�."�
Goku looked over his shoulder then spotted a shadowy figure. "Huh?"�

*DOINK*

Sanzo didn't turn
round but his eyes looked behind him at the figure.

"Genjo Sanzo I presume?"� The voice asked.

There was a loud explosion from the hotel where Hakkai and Gojyo still
were and then the building began to collapse.

The hotel just in runes and then two pieces moved and Hakkai stood up
the pieces falling off him. "Uuuhhhh"� are you alright Gojyo?"�

More wood moved and Gojyo stood up. "Yea"�
just barely."� He replied.

"Bit excessive don't you think?"� Hakkai asked. "Blowing up an entire inn like that."�

Gojyo looked at his card hand, a royal flush of spades, while Hakkai
was just smiling worriedly at him from amongst the rubble. "Sheesh, and I had a killer hand too."�

"You think the girls are okay?"� Hakkai looked at him.

Gojyo looked at Hakkai. "I'm sure they left the building cause the pixie
wanted to see the fireworks."�
He blinked or a moment then spun round sensing something. "Up there!"�

The two looked up to the figure standing on top of the building next to
the inn.

"Is that a demon?"� Gojyo asked as the figure was sightly on a
leaning crouch an arm slung over his knees as the bearded figure looked on down
at them.

"I believe that's a God."� Hakkai replied.

The figure closed his eyes and smiled down at the two of them. "I'll
take care of the side kicks."�

"What was that?"� Vayu looked round and saw in the distance
explosion after explosion."�

"Ground fire works!"� Tejas raced off.

"Hey no Tejas!"� Cyran raced after her. "Get back here it's dangerous!"�

Raido looked at Vayu. "Man
I just want sleep."� She let
her head drop.

Vayu just nodded. "I hear
ya. You think it's
Homura?"�

"You know it's not Homura in person."� Raido replied.

"I know."� Vayu replied. "Think we should check it out anyway?"�

Raido looked off in that direction. "What choice do we have anyway?"� She asked.

"Point taken."� Vayu just smirked.

~*~*~*~

Another explosion, then another and another, Goku landed then phased
out as there were more explosions aimed at him.

Sanzo followed the figure with his banishing gun aimed at the figure as
he leapt over them, Sanzo following the silhouette over the phase of the moon,
the figure holding a large weapon looking rather bazooka like, he opened his
eyes looked at Sanzo and smiled, the red charka on his forehead.

"Damn."�
Sanzo cursed, then his eyes widened.

The figure started firing at him, explosions following Sanzo as he ran.

Goku hoovered in mid air, "What
the-? Is he taking the whole town with us or what?"�

"That's
right."� The figure replied
phasing in behind Goku the bazooka aimed at the teenager.

"Huh?"�
Goku spun round.

"Die."�
The figure remarked before firing another round at Goku.

~*~*~*~

Yet another explosion and Hakaryu drove past it then there was another
as the little shape shifting dragon in jeep form swerved the explosion with
Hakkai behind the wheel, the figure phased on the ground his weapon on his
shoulder as he fired off another round.

Gojyo sat in shot gun leaning back in the seat looking over his
shoulder at the figure as the tires squealed as Hakkai drove.

"Hey Hakkai what are we running for anyway?"� Gojyo asked.

"We've
got to try and draw his fire away from the village."� Hakkai replied. "Besides"�"�

Two more explosions one on either side of them, Gojyo shielded his face
with his forearms. "Damn
they mean business too."� He
remarked then added. "Besides
what?"�

"I'm
worried about Sanzo and Goku."�
Hakkai replied as he continued to drive.

The wheels on Hakaryu squealed again. "What for?"� Gojyo asked.

Hakkai looked at Gojyo with his typical closed eye smile. "I'm
afraid those two might destroy the entire village"� I didn't get supplies yet."� He replied.

Gojyo let his head drop. "Uh
oh."�

"Buckle your seat belt we're going to have to start hauling serious ass."� Hakkai put his foot down and Hakaryu sped up
heading towards the fireworks in the distance.

Two more explosions just on their tail.

Goku was running and the figure phased in behind him the weapon pointed
right at Goku. "This is
it?"� He asked.

Goku looked over his shoulder as he ran. "Is what it?"� He asked phasing out.

"I expected so much more from you four so called
heroes. It seems we have greatly over estimated the legendary Sanzo party."�

"Oh you have, did you?"� Sanzo's
voice asked. He turned round and Sanzo stood there a fist ready. "Estimate this."� He punched the god through an entrance to a
house then in to the building itself.

Sanzo walked up to the fallen God and stepped on the gun as he looked
up. Goku phased in behind Sanzo smiling. "Good job."�

"You're
one of Homura's thugs aren't you?"�
Sanzo asked. "Talk, what are they after?"�

Arrows from nowhere hit the God and he doubled over before exploding in
to particles as Sanzo and Goku stood there.

"What?"�
The two looked over to see the other thug standing there a crossbow still aimed
in his companion's direction.

"Heh."�
The God smiled.

"What did you do that for? Isn't he one of your comrades?"�

"Any one of us would gladly give up our lives
for Lord Homura, one life if meaningless when compared to Homura's greater cause."�

Goku jumped to the side ready to attack.

*CHINK*

"AHHHHHH!"� The God was split in three by Gojyo's jakujou as the chain spun through the air
then retracted. The god exploded in to particles in a bright light.

The light faded leaving Hakkai and Gojyo standing there Hakaryu on
Hakkai's shoulder's.

"That moron, that's what you get for pausing in the middle of
battle to make pretty speeches."�

"I hope you two weren't hurt."� Hakkai asked smiling.

"Yea we're
okay."� Goku laughed.

"Come to think of it, it had become to quiet
lately."� Hakkai added.

"People just don't tire in trying to kill us do they?"� Gojyo asked.

"It's
not easy being a Celebrity."�
Hakkai sighed.

The four girls reached the destroyed house and it's eastern gate.

"Looks like we missed out on the fun."� Raido just smiled.

"If you call that fun priestess, you should wait
till I get going."� Gojyo
grinned appearing next to her an arm around her shoulder.

Raido looked at him and she scratched the side of her head smiling. "Wow you just seem to keep pestering me, I
thought once off and you'd leave
me alone."�

"What can I say? You have my interest honey."�

"Dagas"�"�
A deep voice spoke and Raido looked over suddenly.

There he was Homura with Shien and Zenon the trio of them just there.

"Laguz."�
He added with a smile. "You've changed since we last met."�

"Homura!"� Tejas smiled happily.

"Kana"�"�
He looked at Vayu.

"Kana"�"�
Hakkai looked at Vayu also. "�That
name is sounds almost like"�'
He stopped himself in thought as Vayu looked at him.

Homura sat
there his legs crossed his head resting in his hand as he looked at the Sanzo
party.

"Long time no see."� Homura remarked.

"Not long enough."� Sanzo replied.

"I'm
just watching, I wanted to see you guys fight."� Homura smiled.

Sanzo closed his eyes. "Looks
like you got what you came for, you can go now."� He seemed to dismiss Homura with ease.

"Phenomenal is what I'd like to say, but I'm afraid your not quiet there yet."� Homura added.

Raido looked from one to the other and she blinked. "�Why can't I remember much about him, if he's suppose to be my brother why can't I"�?'

"Son Goku, the same goes for you."� Homura added.

*DINK*

"Huh? Goku looked up at Homura.

"Only a God would be so melodramatic."� Gojyo remarked smiling up at them.

"C'mon
what do you want?"� Sanzo
demanded.

Homura smiled again. "Don't you worry, we're just here to watch today."�

Hakkai held his hand out ready to summon his ki. "Does that mean you're just going to take off, why don't you stay and play a little while."� He smiled.

"I don't
think you or your little friends are prepared for this level of fighting yet."� Shien replied his eyes never opening.

"Oh puh-lease. That little skirmish wasn't even an appetiser."� Gojyo remarked
cockily.

"I'm
glad to hear it I'd hate
to of come out all the way here for nothing."� Zenon added.

"Perth. My dear, I hope you haven't gotten too attached to these mortals."� Homura looked at her.

Cyran looked at him. "Lord
Homura."�

"You!"�
Sanzo glared at her. "You were
working for him?!"�

She looked at Sanzo suddenly. "I"� owe him"� he saved me, freed me, gave me a new life an
identity."� She looked down.

"Now Dagas, my sister, I have to ask you to give
me a moment alone with the Sanzo party."� Homura looked at her.

"Homura-"� Tejas began.

"Dagas."�
He looked at her. "I'm trusting you will take good care of that
scripture."�

Gojyo stepped in front of Raido. "The scripture is not your's yet pal."�

"Gojyo"�"�
Raido looked up at his back. He looked over his shoulder at her.

"I can't
explain it priestess, but whatever you do with that scripture is up to you, not
him."� Gojyo looked at her.

"Kenren, it seems you still hold a flame for
Dagas even this time round."�
Zenon scoffed. "Pathetic,
he didn't approve of it then and
he still doesn't but
this time he will prevent it."�

"Kenren"�"�
Raido looked up at Gojyo. "�My
old memories, it was him"�
megami, Gojyo is him"�'

"Laguz"�"�
Homura stood up and he smiled at her. "My
dear Laguz, the palace has been quiet with you gone."�

"Really?!"� Tejas smiled up at him adoringly.

"Tejas! Don't listen to him, he's the bad guy!"� Goku called out to her.

"Laguz, come here."� Homura beckoned her over.

"Hokay!"�
Tejas smiled.

"TEJAS NO!"� Vayu went to stop her when Zenon phased behind
Hakkai his gun pointed at Hakkai's
head.

"Now Kana if you want Tenpou to live you'll behave now."�

Vayu's hand twitched as it
balled up in to a fist.

"Vayu"�
it's okay really I'm fine."� Hakkai smiled at her.

"You wanna know a little something Tenpou?"� Zenon grinned at Hakkai. "Last time round you two almost had a little
thing going on if Kana hadn't
of left when she did, we were all sure it was going to happen."�

"Stop calling me Kana! I'm Vayu! Vayu!"� Vayu shouted. "�That name Kana it's so close to being Kanan's name I don't want to hurt Hakkai with that name, I don't want to make him suffer more than he already
has.'

Hakkai looked at Vayu. "It's okay Vayu, it's okay, I don't mind really, it might explain a couple of things
that's for sure."� He smiled at her.

Vayu blinked as she looked at him. "It does?"� She looked at him.

"If we knew each previously and you truly went
by the name Kana, maybe it was you I was looking for this time round when I
found Kanan."� He looked at her with a
smile.

Vayu went beet red suddenly.

Cyran just smiled. "�That's more like it get some guts Hakkai. You can
fall in love again.'

Tejas stood before Homura. "Now
Laguz, my dear sweet Laguz, I prefer you the way you were so I'm going to give you your charka back so stay
still okay?"�

"Hokay."�
Tejas just smiled and Homura placed his hand to her forehead and the group
watched, as there was a quick flash of light.

Tejas looked up at him starry eyed. "Homura-sama."� She smiled.

He just smiled back at her. "You
three were born with your charkas I just made sure they would be clearly seen
now, this is for the sake of protecting that scripture."�

"The scripture"�"� Tejas looked up at him and sniffed. "But-"�

"Protect that scripture with you life."� He looked at them.

"NO!"�
Tejas pushed Homura back tears in her eyes. "Scripture this and scripture that! That's all you talk about now! What about the old
days?! Do I even mean anything to you anymore?!"� She cried.

"Tejas"�"�
Goku looked onward. "What's she talking about?"�

Cyran looked at Goku. "Tejas's obsession with Homura comes from her past
life, they were lovers. The crowned War Prince and the Goddess of Occult and
Sex, but ever since she left, he became determined with only two objectives,
one protecting Dagas and the other the scriptures."� She explained.

"I'm
taking it you had no idea your half brother was a War Prince huh?"� Cyran looked at Raido.

Raido blinked for a moment. "I
only have one brother this lifetime and you are not him!"� She shouted. "The brother I know would not hurt Tejas's feelings like that!"�

"I'm
doing this for all of us Dagas, the scriptures are important"�"�

"STOP IT! I don't want to hear about the SCRIPTURES ANYMORE!"� Tejas raced off.

Vayu pulled her mace out of nowhere and she glared at Homura. "How dare you, no one should make Tejas cry but
me!"�

"No!"�
Raido held her hand up she took a step forward. "Know this Homura"� brother or not, we are on opposite sides now,
you want this scripture you will have to kill me for it, can you kill your own
sister?"� She asked.

Homura looked at her for the first time shock was on his face and then
he just smiled. "You
always did like to annoy me even as a child, I wonder if you would say that if
you remembered everything?"� He
asked.

Raido shrugged. "Who
knows and basically who cares, I'm
not your sister in this lifetime so get used to it. You hurt Tejas's feelings so prepare to get your ass kicked"�"�

Goku jumped in front of Raido his eyes narrowed. "Allow me, no one hurts one of my friends and
gets away with it!"�

"Goku do you really
want to do this Homura is strong."� Vayu looked at him, then at Zenon he had
vanished and Hakkai was looking round for him.

"Oh I do."�

"Dagas"� if you don't
mind, I would prefer it if you and your friends stayed out of this,"� Homura
began. "What happens here is between me and the Sanzo party after all you have
your own Gods to face."�

"Homura if you think
we're going to stay still while this is going on, you have another thing
coming!"� Raido shouted at him.

He just smiled and she
froze for a moment. "�That smile, it is so familiar to me"� why can't I"�
remember?'

"If I were you I would
tend to Laguz."� Shien spoke up. "If the Sanzo party wishes to challenge us,
then let them, but you four have your own path to take."�

Goku leapt up in to the
air charging at Homura. "Okay then stop talking and lets get it on."�

Zenon and Shien phased out while Homura just remained there, he brought
his Nyoibou slicing down through the air, Homura just phased out.

"What?"�

Homura then appeared next to sailing by. "Heh."�

*CRASH*

There was a cloud of smoke debris as Goku hit the roof.

"What."�
Hakkai and Gojyo looked ready to jump in when Zenon and Shien phased in front
of them. "Hold it, looks like you
boys will be fighting us today."�

"It is Homura's wish that none of you interfere with this
process."� Shien added

"You're
awfully confidant in your abilities."�
Hakkai remarked.

"It's
three again two guys, don't think
about begging for forgiveness later because I won't be in the mood."� Gojyo added.

"Heh, I'm
not the begging type."� Zenon
replied.

"Keep your guard up they're losers but they're still Gods."� Sanzo pointed out.

"You don't have to tell me man, I've got eyes."� Gojyo replied.

"All you have to do is look at them to see that
we have a real fight on our hands."�
Hakkai added.

"I'm
just saying."� Sanzo stated.

"Stop stalling."� Gojyo remarked

"Shall we go then?"� Hakkai added.

"Daaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh!"� Goku shouted as he raced across the centre off
the roof top Nyoibou in hand charging directly towards Homura. He jumped
towards him and Homura dodged and Goku landed his hands on the ground and
kicked out towards Homura, Homura moving his head, Goku missing by an inch or
two.

Goku spun round spinning his Nyoibou staff with him. "Take that!"�

Homura phased out from view.

Goku glared in the distance and Homura reappeared. "What's
the matter Goku? Surely you should be able to at least touch me."� His voice almost seemed as condescending as
Sanzo's if only for a moment. "Come now show me some of your true mettle."� Homura smiled.

"Don't
get to cocky."� Goku replied as he
charged towards Homura again.

Goku got close and Homura's
eyes widened to a scary expression. "�Be
strong, Son Goku.'

"Tejas"�"�
Raido knelt down by the side of their youngest member of the group as she was wiping
the tears from her face.

"Why is he doing this Raido why? I love him can't he see that?"� Tejas sniffed.

Raido pulled her in to a hug, holding her close to him, when Vayu and
Cyran raced up to their sides.

"We have to do something!"� Vayu stated.

"We can't
go against Homura, even I'm not
that strong and I haven't been
reincarnated like you three."�
Cyran looked at them.

"You were with him all the time, siding with
him, all those men they were Gods weren't they, Homura's thugs, you were sleeping your way through
their ranks to fill him in on our progress, I know I heard your thoughts, every
single one!"� Vayu glared at Cyran.

Cyran looked down. "He
just wanted you three to be okay."�

"You followed us, betrayed us, you're allegiance is with him!"� Vayu challenged pulling her Tonfa's out from under her cape.

"VAYU STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!"� Raido shouted. "Stop it! Even Cyran has now seen the change in
Homura from what we knew."�

Vayu stopped and looked at Raido. "You remember?"�

"Not everything details are sketchy, but what I
do know is the brother I once knew in that life time has a plan, and I can't figure it out, we have to let it run it's course, we stay out of this, Tejas is our
priority her feelings are hurt, that's
what is important, she is part of our group, Cyran is too, she's been our friend since our Goddess lifetime,
she had the choice to come with us, but she was so trapped up there even we
couldn't reach her, if Homura
helped her freedom, he did it so we could be reunited, we're a unit, friends, we care for each other
first and for most. Like a family should."� Raido looked at Vayu.

Vayu sighed and placed her Tonfa's away. "We haven't even been attacked once on our journey, we
haven't acquired the skills the
Sanzo party has yet. We wouldn't
last five seconds against these guys. I know but I can't stand by and watch them all get hurt."�

"Then we stand by, after this I suggest we part
from the Sanzo party. If we get to close, it won't hurt us so much if they died while we were
with them, we'd get in their way, become
a weakness to them, they deserve better than that."� Raido brushed some of Tejas's hair from her eyes as the young demon still
clung to her crying.

Shien's whip hit against Hakkai's force field as he stood there hands out in
front of him keeping the shield up the whip constantly hitting it in bursts. "�He's not giving me a chance to lower my defensive
barrier. I've got
to find a way to go on the offensive.'

"�How long do you intend on hiding behind this
protective shield maintaining your chi can not be easy?' Shien asked as his onslaught on Hakkai
continued.

"Lay off him!"� Gojyo shouted as he charged his Jakujou
hitting the ground where Shien had been as the God causally leaped away. "Try that on for size."�

"Uuhh.."�
Hakkai dropped to his knees and Gojyo looked over his shoulder.

"Hakkai."�

Gojyo sensed movement before looking back to see the barrel of a semi
automatic machine gun pointed at him by Zenon.

Zenon chuckled. "Well I
guess you won't be drinking for a while"� Kenren."�

The sound of a gun went off echoed in the air around them.

Zenon dropped his weapon to the ground holding his wrist, "Uh?"�
He looked to the side, Gojyo's
glance followed his to see Sanzo's
gun pointed in his direction.

"Your not so high and mighty after all are you?"� Sanzo remarked.

The fireworks went off in the distance filling up the sky with a
mixture of lights bursting out in assorting colors and sizes.

Goku stood on the roof his breathing ragged as he looked on at Homura
who just stood there.

"�Don't hold back, it's the only way you'll grow stronger.'

"�It's just too much, none of the guys I've fought before even come close to this guy.
He's not even trying.'

"Is that all you've got?"� Homura asked.

Goku glared at him. "Are
you kidding? Hell no!"� He
lunged swinging his Nyoibou staff in the direction of the ever moving God, who
as always just phased out of the way letting Goku fall on to the roof.

Homura reappeared behind Goku standing on the gable of the roof. "That wasn't bad, you're to obvious, don't let me anticipate."� Homura seemed like he was offering advice to
the teenager.

"Well smart ass lets see if you can anticipate
this move!"� Goku began to charge.

He was cut off suddenly as Homura's fist struck the side of his face sending him
falling backwards sliding across the center of the rood top all the way to the
other side of the roof his fall stopped by the gable on the other side.

Homura stepped up in front of him. "You should be aware you're facing a rather critical decision here."� He spoke he sounded so calm, Goku just looked
up at him, it was obvious the teenager was beginning to get hurt and frustrated
by this point in time.

"W-Why you"�"�

Zenon stood there his weapon back in hand firing away, Sanzo, Gojyo,
taking shelter behind the rubble of a fallen building.

"This guy won't give us a break Sanzo, how much ammo does
that thing have anyway?"�

"Whining are we?"�

"Yeah right, I just don't like being toyed with that's all."�

"Me either, I won't be happy until the Gods have been dethroned."�

"And I don't like leaving Goku with that guy."� Hakkai added from around the other corner of
the debris.

"Well that certainly is a first, we're all in agreement for once."� Gojyo looked at them.

"Right, lets go."� Sanzo remarked.

Hakkai and Gojyo smiling at each other.

There was dust and debris from the roof as Goku fell from the roof
towards the ground hitting it with a thud and a small cloud of dust rose up as
he hit.

Homura just seemed to laugh.

Goku moved his hand clutching at the dirt as he looked up. "They're
beating the crap out of us."�
He looked over to Sanzo, Gojyo and Hakkai, Shien and Zenon firing on the three
Hakkai holding the shield up.

"Oh no"�"�
He looked up to his power limiter for a moment.

Images filled his head of his demon form fighting various people
friends and enemies.

Goku's hand touched his face
his fingers touching the top of his power limiter lightly. "What should I do?"�

"Aren't
you going to take it off?"� Homura
asked.

"Uh?"�
Goku looked up before looking over his shoulder to the top of the broken gable
and Homura looked down on him from the roof half crouching half leaning on his
leg.

"Take it off."� Homura repeated. "Why not fight me at your full potential?"� He asked, his cape flapping in the wind that
breezed above the altitude of the roof.

"I won't
do it."� Goku spoke.

Homura's
expression reading one of surprise if even for just a moment.

"I'd
rather die than take it off for the likes of you."� Goku added his expression showing one of now
anger.

Homura just closed his eyes as he laughed. "So be it"� Son Goku."�

Goku clenched his fist close. "I'm going to do it this time, I've only got one more chance."�

He leapt up towards Homura. "AHHHHHHHH!"� His expression one of rage and anger mixed.

"HALT!"�
Homura cried and caught Goku's
hand in his.

Goku looked on surprised. "Oh
no."� He seemed to sail right
by Homura.

Homura looked over his shoulder as he went by. "Grow stronger,"� Goku looked over his shoulder at Homura as he
continued to speak. "You must
grow stronger"� Son Goku."�

Homura spun round bringing his knee in to Goku's stomach sending him flying backwards. "AAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOW!"� Goku cried as he flew backwards.

"Goku!"�
Hakkai called out.

Sanzo and Gojyo looked over to where their friend was falling through
the sky.

Goku sailed downwards right past Homura who turned round if only for a
moment smiling to see Goku fall from the roof.

Goku's eyes glazed over in to
the world of unconsciousness as he hit the ground with a thud.

The wind still flapping about Homura and his cape and hair blowing in
the breeze that seemed like it had doomed them all from the moment it had
started up.

Goku lay beneath Homura unconscious. Homura didn't even turn round as he spoke to his two
followers. "Zenon, Shien, lets go."�

"No way."� Zenon looked on disappointed.

Shien held up his hand to stop Zenon, Homura's orders clearly a first priority.

"Man, if you say so."� Zenon sighed.

"�Is this really what you want Homura?' Shien asked.

"Hold it!"� Sanzo spoke. "You're
not planning on leaving unfinished business again are you? Quit toying with us
and lets get this over with."�

"I've
done everything I've come
to do."� Homura replied.

"I thought you wanted our scripture, well come
and get it big guy."� Gojyo
taunted.

"If I took the scripture now, what excuse would
I have to come see you again."�
Homura replied before looking over his shoulder. "Isn't
that right Konzen?"�

"�Homura.' Shien began, "�You realise to leave now will only constrain
their progress as of a chain, as those shackles on your wrists.'

"Geez it's not easy keeping up with his whims."� Zenon remarked before phasing out, Shien
followed shortly.

"So long."� Homura remarked before he too phased out,
leaving, Sanzo Hakkai and Gojyo looking onwards.

Hakkai looked off to where Goku lay. "Ohh"�
Goku are you alright?!"�

"Goku?"� Gojyo asked.

Tejas looked over tears in her eyes as she looked at Goku lying on the
ground she broke free of Raido's
hold and pushed through the middle of the Sanzo party up to his side.

"Goku"�
Goku"�"� She rolled him over
letting his head rest in her lap she touched the crown and pushed his hair from
his closed eyes. "Goku"� did you do this for me?"� She asked softly before placing a kiss to one
of his closed eyelids.

Raido walked over and she stopped by Sanzo's side.

"We'll
stay until he wakes up, but after that we go our own way to India."�

Sanzo looked at her. "Is
that wise?"�

"I don't
know but it's better, you fight Homura

"Priestess"�"� Gojyo placed a hand on her shoulder, he was
expecting her to whack it away and she just turned round and he found her
suddenly in his arms he blinked.

"Gojyo, you tried to protect me, thank you."� She mumbled in to chest.

"It's
okay priestess."� He
looked down and ran a hand through her hair.

Hakkai looked at Vayu as she stood there looking on at Tejas stroking
Goku's hair as he rested there.

"It must have taken a lot for you to restrain
yourself from interfering."� He
looked at her.

"More than you know."� She sighed.

Hakkai just took her hand in his and squeezed it. She looked up at him
as he smiled at her. "What
ever you decide how you do what you do, it's up to you, I have no problem with it, just
promise me to never change, to always be true"� to yourself."�

"Uh?"�
Vayu blinked as she looked at him.

Sanzo glared at Cyran as she stood back from the group, she was looking
away her head lowered.

"So what are you going to do now then"� eh Goddess?"� He challenged.

She looked up for a moment before looking at him. "I"�
I just want to be free, to do what I want to, not what he wants me too."�

Sanzo walked up to her grabbing her by the neck. "Then my side, human, demon, God, listen to
none, you want true freedom, then from now own Goddess, the only side you
should be on, is your own one."�
He pushed her back and she toppled to the ground looking up at him.

Cyran blinked for a moment as he pulled the gun out and pointed it at
her. "What side are you on
Goddess? Tell me now, Goddess or not I'll
give you a lifetime of eternal suffering."�

Cyran held her head high as she looked in to his eyes. "It's
my own damn side I'm on! I'M ON MY OWN SIDE!!"� She shouted.

Sanzo just smirked and he put his gun away. "Wise choice."� He looked over at Goku. "Lets get him to a doctor."�

Raido walked up to where Cyran sat on the ground and she crouched down,
Cyran looked at her. "I'm sorry for deceiving you, I thought Homura
wanted to help you, that's all,
it's because of him we've had no attacks, none of you had even before
me, all the minions Lady Koushou sent you"� your way, he cut them off before they even
reached you. He won't be
protecting us anymore, can you kill demons like the one you travel with?"� She asked.

Raido just smiled. "Before
I met you guys he didn't do a
good job of protecting me, I've
killed plenty before, I'll be
fine. We all will be besides, makes good training."�

"C'mon
Tejas, we have to get Goku to a doctor."� Hakkai knelt down beside her and she looked up
at him, tears in her eyes, she removed her hands as Hakkai picked him up.

"C'mon
pixie we need to find a new hotel to rest up in for the night."� Vayu helped her up.

"How could Homura do that to Goku? I love Homura
so much and Goku's my
friend."� Tejas looked at Vayu.

Vayu wrapped her arms round Tejas in the first sign of affection ever
towards the youngest member of their party. "Since we've been gone Homura's changed, it's the way it works, people change Tejas."�

"Then I'm
going to change to, I don't want
my friends getting hurt anymore not when I can help them!"� Tejas looked up at her determined.

Vayu just smiled. "That's the spirit. You might actually think about
something other than Homura, food and chocolate for once."�

Tejas blinked. "I don't just think on Homura, food and chocolate,
there's Kougaiji-sama."� She looked at Vayu.

"Ahhhhh yes the famous father figure who we
thought was the reason we weren't
attacked yet."� Vayu replied. "Well then pixie are you hungry?"�

Tejas sighed. "Not
really"�"�

"You need some food to keep your strength up
Tejas. It's my shout."� Cyran smiled at her, "It's
the least I could do since this is all my fault."�

"No it's
not your fault Cyran, you've been
so nice to us, I want you to stay with us all the way to India kay? You have
to."� Tejas looked at her.

Cyran blinked surprised. "Are
you sure?"� She looked to Raido and
Vayu. "I don't know if-"�

"Look as annoying as your whorish ways are, it's probably safer if you do."� Vayu stated in a huff crossing her arms.

Raido just smiled. "Besides
why should we be separated again? You've
got no where else to go and we have a place to go, besides there's only so many men in one city, knowing you you'd probably have them all by the end of the
month and that would get boring wouldn't
it?"�

Cyran just smiled. "Okay
then, I'll come with you to India."�

"Great it's settled in, lets find a new hotel and then
something to eat."�

"I guess I am a little bit hungry now that you
mention it."� Tejas remarked meekly.

Author's Note: Normally these go at the beginning of the
story"� but oh well"� you will have to excuse any plot falls and spelling
mistakes, I don't have all of the series and only just started collecting the
manga"�and on top of that I cant' find any decent episode summaries or guides
for the 1^st season of Saiyuki, so I just have to wing it, so my bad,
plus I got no Beta either"� and it takes time and patience"� and if you know me
twenty cigarettes later I'll only be part way through the next chapter"� or in
the kitchen eating ^^;

Disclaimer: I don't own Saiyuki that is copyright of the
great and wonderful (yes I know suck up aren't I?) Kazuya Minekura, the only
characters I own are the ones you don't recognise"� fancy that ;p I actually
started out doing a counterpart fic for an Anime / Manga called Yami no
Matsuei, but when I saw Saiyuki, the idea sprung to my head again"� so here's
the low down on whose the counterpart of who if you haven't figured it out yet"�
and a brief look in to their Goddess backgrounds...

Raido (Nakiryu
Sanzo) formally Dagas: is
Hakkai's counterpart, She was formally Homura's ½ sister Dagas while he was
locked in the tower she was conceived and when he was released he learned of
her existence and sought her out, to find a troublesome youthful Goddess. He
forced her in to a Goddess school to socialise talking over as a sort of parent
figure since her own had abandoned her leaving her to deal alone, he made sure
that she made friends while in the school while the search for her Goddess
title began. Because she liked to play pranks on Konzen and rearrange his
papers she got given the title of Goddess of Change.

Vayu formally Berkana: is Sanzo's counterpart, She
was a very gothic goddess, who distanced herself from the other Gods and
Goddess and scared them off by acting extremely violent, her colors were black,
black and more black, she held Homura in the highest respect when he reached
out to her to give her guidance, and through Homura became friends with Dagas.
Berkana was constantly called by her nickname Kana by everyone close to her,
and after she graduated from Goddess school she became an assistant to Tenpou
and the two got close but Kana left him in order to find Dagas who escaped from
Heaven heading to the mortal world, they never got a chance to try to start a
life together. Nothing much was known of her life before she started the
Goddess school thus she was given the title of Goddess of Woman's mysteries.

Cyran formally Perth: is straightforward Gojyo's
counterpart, A foreign Goddess attending the school due to it being a school
her father had attended, her life was run by her father's overbearing family
after he died along side her mother, a mortal who had achieved true
enlightenment and reached the status of Goddess. Perth felt completely alone in
the world and just used the boys at her school to sleep around with on order to
empty her mind from the verbal abuse she suffered by the hands of her
grandfather, she believed the more she slept with men, the more they would love
her unlike her own grandfather, eventually after the other three left, Homura
helped her escape her family and sent her to earth to help in the reincarnation
of Dagas and the other Goddess and she started a life on earth pretending to be
a mortal and living among them. Ironically named as the Goddess of secrets.

Tejas formally Laguz: Goku's Counterpart, from the
moment Laguz set her eyes on Homura, she was in love with him, but he was too
focussed on trying to help his sister achieve a good education and proper
treatment from the other gods. When she smiled at any man she had the ability
to make him blush on the first meeting, a lovely person to be around, she
seemed to appear like perfection with a mysterious quality, and even befriended
Goku, when told to keep away, when her mother was left an accidental offering
of chocolate instead of fruit, her mother gave it to her and then an addiction
became which in turn became a weakness, with her untapped power she seemly was
able to make any god do as she bided, but lacked the will to do anything with
it, she was given the title of Goddess of Occult and Sex.

it doesn't I've already written over two hundred pages, I just wrote this for
my friends but I though "Meh why not put it up as a first Saiyuki fic"� and
that's what it is, my VERY FIRST Saiyuki fic"� it follows part of the series
after Homura comes in to it"� but you have to know these aren't episodes I have
many of or even seen, heck the manga I'm no where near that far"� (Does he even
show up in the manga?? I'm up to volume 1 in Reload and there hasn't been a
sight of him) Anyways just let me know and such"�
